Bidhustle.com just eats up time.

I "joined" bidustle about 5 weeks ago and since have been back and forth with my

feelings towards the company.

I first used my bonus bids to try to win a Apple iPad. I stayed up till 1:30am on a wednesday night

(I work full time) and everytime I would place a bid towards the end of the auction, more time would be added.

I wrote an email trying to get an explanation and received a response that said something like:

"Thanks for writing we will have an answer to your question within 24 hours"

A full day to answer a simple question and so I called and waited on hold for about 3 mins

and once I was connected to a customer service agent, she told me the best thing for me to do

woould be read the FAQ's page then said real quick how the timer goes down but in order to give

everyone a chance, when a bid is added anywhere from 5-15 seconds are also added.

That was my first spur with this company. Three weeks ago I finally won and it just came yesterday

and it is brand new I will give them that but everything just seemed to happen either too fast or

too slow. This site was recommended by a friend that loves it but I don't think

I will be mailing the link out.

Bid Hustle sign up is very misleading. Their site guides you to registration. The registration actually activates a one year membership resulting in a $150 charge to your credit card you used to register. Their 3 pages of terms and conditions state nothing about $150 charge.

Advise all that have been subjected to this to file complaints with Internet Crime Department of the FBI.

Website: http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx

Complaints can be filed online

The FTC - you can file a complaint online at:

https://ftccomplaintassistant.gov/FTC_Wizard.aspx?Lang=en

or by phone: http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/contact.shtm

If you are in the United States you should also file a complaint with the Attorney General of your state:

WARNING:

This seems to be a direct copy of Swipebids.com.

I suggest you check out 'Swipebids are Scam Artists' on Scamraiderse. And pennyauctions too. You will see just how many people have been scammed, and what they are intending to do about it.

I had a quick chat session with one of their "site operators" named "Veronica" before signing up for anything.
I was able to catch "Veronica" up on three discrepancies in their "Terms & Conditions".
(I will try to load edited image of T&C)
#1:
Section 1 says that nothing on the website, including the "help section" can be relied on for accurate information regarding use of the site.
#2:
Section 8 on Bidding states that members need to reference the "help section" on how to use the bidding process. (circular reasoning and legal loophole)
#3: "Veronica" to be a member "since day one" that has "Won in iPad and a Tiffany necklace for my wife, " (mis-spellings kept to preserve the ignorant.)

Text of Chat follows:
"Please wait for a site operator to respond.

You are now chatting with 'Veronica'

Veronica: Hello

you: why does the terms and conditions state that no reliance should be placed on the "help" section?

you: but later in the terms and conditions, it references the "Help" section as a source of information on the bidding process.

you: are you there?

Veronica: I am trying to look into this for you

you: thanks.

Veronica: The help section is a source of information on the bidding process. It will tell you all about how to bid. But it does not make it certain that you will win

Veronica: Winning items is up to you.

Veronica: You must follow the items and get into it.

you: Per the Terms and conditions: "None of the content on the Bidhustle site, including but not limited to the Help Section, is intended to amount to advice on which reliance should be placed. Bidhustle disclaims to the fullest extent permitted by law all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance placed on such materials by you or by anyone who may be informed of any of its contents. "

you: this is circular reasoning. It's a legal loophole that I am not sure I want to step through.

Veronica: If you have signed up for a one year membership, you are through the hole.

you: I haven't signed up for anything. I am being cautious. I hate scams.

Veronica: Well you are in luck because this is not a scam.

Veronica: Its very simple, sign up and we promise you will win.

you: are you a member?

Veronica: Have been since day one.

Veronica: Won in iPad and a Tiffany necklace for my wife,

you: "6. REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION Employees and relatives of employees of Bidhustle are not eligible to participate in Bidhustle auctions under any circumstance."

Veronica: Not a scam but if you are having trouble understanding the site. I advise you to move on.

you: How is your name Veronica?

Veronica: Why can I not have a female name and a wife.

you: maybe in San Fran.

Veronica: Are you attacking my personal decisions?

you: focus on the point.

you: you can't be a member.

you: you LIE.

Chat terminated by site operator."

OK. So, I just got through chatting with one of the representatives. After having already inquired about cancellation and being shown this image in reference to the $150 fee.(see attached) It does mention the fee very discretely. I also noticed that it says that there is a %100 guarantee that if you sign up for their membership and do not win anything with the first 300 start-up bids they will fully refund those bids. I was just refunded mine, as I didn't win the auction I placed them on. I am still angry about the level of deceit within the membership page, but I will take this as a lesson to read everything more carefully from here on out. I will keep this thread updated on my ongoing experience with this site. Hopefully I am not continuing down the wrong path. Either way I will post here again.

My mother just told me that she got sucked into this too. I'm really sick and tired of people trying to take advantage of others, it's sickening really!

This is what my mother was able to do yesterday after a phone call to a BidHustle representative and his 'supervisor;' So far, they've only refunded her half ($75) but are still holding onto the rest. I am checking their terms and conditions to see if there is any sort of "fee" amount listed but I'm sure there isn't. Also, on her refund statement, it said it was being issued by "Flipflip Marketing LLC." I've checked, and they don't exist - - anywhere, no address, no phone number, nothing! One thing though... the email was sent from email address: 'accounting@cpafuel.com'. Here is CPAFuel's address and contact information if you'd like:

I highly intend on being a pain in the you-know-what until they comply. Until then (and probably even after), I will be finding sites like this and blow the whistle even more.

To be fair though, HUSTLE is part of their name!

I didn't even notice that until I read this! I have a hold on my bank account now for $150! I am NOT going to let it go through and I will tell everyone NOT to go to this site. Thank you for posting this. You probably just saved me a lot of money.
