WATCH OUT FOR MONEY TRAPS IN THE ROOMS - We recently stayed at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Bellagio is part of MGM Mirage family of Casinos, so you may need to be aware of all of these also. We have a time share in LV, but needed a room for one night earlier (we arrived Thursday but couldnt check into our timeshare until Friday afternoon). so we get to the Bellagio around 1:00 am and check out at around 11:00 am. Only there 10 hours total. We were guests of some friend who prepaid for the room, so we used a credit card for "incidentals". A few days after returning home our credit card shows charges of $42.00 My wife attempted to contact the Bellagio but in turn just got a detailed bill for:
$10.00 CHOC ALMONDS
$12.00 CASHEWS
$20.00 Poker Chips
Apparently everything in the room is weighted adn you are charged even if you dont take anything. I do remember looking at a couple items in the basket on top of the minibar but nothing was taken.
I have tried to contact the hotel, but they make it difficult to complain...hence this posting.
I am still waiting to get the bill for 2 oz of shampoo we used (lol). I'm surprised that was wighted too.
I guess the casino business has gotten so bad that they need to set "customer traps" to ensure they make ends meet.
BEWARE
Check out the casinos at Harrahs and Wynn. I think you'll be happier.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I paid 200 plus dollars a day for a room filled with smoke. Every morning I awake my nose was stuffed. I tried complaint but got nowhere. The sink n the bathroom was plugged up
My complaint with Bellagio is far worse than yours.

Attending an event at Bellagio hotel/casino, I needed to use the Women's Restroom. In the middle of using the toilet, I saw a huge flood of DARK BROWN FECES flooding my stall from the one next to it. My brand new high heels and large cloth bag were immediately covered in the filth. I finished as quickly as possible and went to the bathroom sink. I told the housekeeper what had happened. She yelled at me in front of the other patrons that I should have inspected the stall before using it. She didn't care that the flood of ### happened after I was using the toilet. She ignored my request for help in cleaning my shoes and cloth bag. I had to stand in my stocking feet on the restroom floor, and clean someone else's feces off of my things. I had no choice but to wear the shoes out of the restroom, and carry the cloth bag. I then called for a shift manager. After a long wait, he finally showed up. His response? He didn't see the incident so there was nothing that he could do to help me. DO NOT PATRONIZE THE BELLAGIO. I would be happy to take a lie detector test to prove that what I'm saying is 100% true and accurate.
Red Baron - I actually opened the minibar right before I checked-out. The charge for the golf balls was not on the bill when I checked-out but Bellagio mailed me a receipt about two weeks after for the charge. They billed it to my credit card.
This is why you check your bill before you leave. The charge will be listed. You can then dispute it before you leave.

It also happened to me too at Bellagio with the minibar. I took out the sleeve of golf balls to look at them and put them back. Two weeks later, I got a bill for $30.00. Apparently there are sensors that record when anything in the minibar is touched or moved and you are automatically charged for the item. My advice to all people is never even open the minibar unless you are prepare to pay big time! Good luck getting your money back because I never got mine!
