I hired Brent for a job to be completed in 1-2 weeks for an outrageous amount of money-$12, 000. Long story short, 10 weeks later, he delivers me a horrible website. I provided this JOKE with everything that needed to be done, including screenshots and an itemized punch list. It was a complex job, but yet he assured me, face to face it'll be done, and he knew exactly what I wanted. I got "yessed" to death by him. He stole my money and delivered something that looked like it was a high school project. DO NOT hire this idiot for anything. Hes the worst. I tried to bring him to court, but all his addresses come back as undelivered. By posting in here, I hope to save some people trying to make an honest living from getting screwed. I blame him for having to close my business, dont fall victim like I did.

This is the then owner of Zotheca Consulting, LLC. Seeing the above description of my work by Gavin Iaccarino is both offensive and sickens me - especially considering the lengths to which I went to make this client satisfied. Initially, he mentioned his difficulty with three prior developers (should have been red flag #1 - I later found out he harassed and physically threatened several of them and owes several money still) and needed this site done in a hurry. I acquired a team and got building - being a developer by trade, my focus was to provide a FUNCTIONAL website that worked - the design would come last (a working website isn't something which his prior developers could achieve and something even he himself doubted - in fact, you can see the working site here - http://auctions-dev.herokuapp.com). Throughout the process, Gavin was thrilled (contact me for his emails if interested) and progress was being made. However, due to his numerous changes in the middle of the project to the site's functionality (requiring SIGNIFICANT reworking) it started to stall to the point that we BARELY hit his deadline for just the functionality. In the end, Gavin had zero knowledge of what he wanted his website to do or even how to look. I found him, in the end, unprofessional - I tried to keep accommodating his changes, but 50 calls per day to my home phone (and leaving threatening messages with foul language) is unacceptable, especially while I'm managing a team of 10 coders. Now, for the subject of me 'taking his money' he had an agreement for a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit which was used to pay for my team and other business costs - he knew this and signed my contract (I can also provide a signed copy if interested). Also, we agreed that he was satisfied with the project, but wanted his own designers for the rest (I'm not a CSS specialist - especially in Ruby on Rails) so we agreed on a reduced amount for the balance. However, after he paid, he started getting erratic a week later about the situation. However, I couldn't do anything, as I'd incurred SIGNIFICANT costs and had delivered his project as he signed off upon. Lastly, why would I give him my mailing address? He told me himself that he went to one developer's home and threatened him with physical harm - I'm not stupid to give him my address. However, the US postal service had my new address, so if he actually tried to serve me with papers, they would have been forwarded from my business. My attorney tried to work it out with him also, only to get similar foul language and threats. This guy is both insane and dangerous.

So, in summary, Gavin Iaccarino is a liar, a cheat, and a poor business person. I did everything I could to accommodate his unrealistic expectations and I sincerely hope his newest developer gives this guy a working site so he can stop trying to drag down others. Though, I doubt it will happen, since his latest version of the site has sat for more than 5 months unfinished - he probably stiffed another developer...
