We had booked this tour with YMT and Our tour guild was selling tickets on the bus and he said he was going to make the list of names disappear. He dropped of a couple of ladies off for sightseeing at a vacant lot and they got lost. we were delayed 43 minutes while they looked for these ladies. The tour was the worst ever time wise and we were cut short because of his actions. During the tour we were rushed walking to all these eating places and a lady felled down and got hurt, he would not even helped that lady up, his reply was too much paper work. Also on the first stop he picked up his brother and daughter on another stop and he use rooms with double beds and others got one bed when they booked a double bed. they all sat up front on the bus most of the time and all ate together. We went on the above tour which started on May 23rd. We were on the 1st bus, which I should have switched out of, after the tour director, Monica Zukrow, was upset about our being 10 minutes late. However, she did not give us time to eat and shop. She also said something to my husband about me that was insulting. I did not find out about it until we came back home after the trip was over! I and many other people on that tour felt rushed. We will not be taking another tour with your company, and I have told my family and friends never go on another tour with you either. I dare say I will get an apology, but wanted you to know what happened.

YMT escorted tour to Cuba was poorly organized and wasted lots of time.

For example, YMT insisted all participants be at the Holiday Inn Miami Airport by 4:00 p.m. for signing travel documents and getting an orientation. The Tour Director showed up at 7:00 p.m. and talked until 9:30 p.m. with personal anecdotes rather efficiently spending the 30 minutes needed to cover the essential information and sign the papers. The worst part was that she made up get up the next morning at 3:00 a.m. to make the 15 minute trip to the Miami Airport to catch at 9:30 a.m. flight. Because she could not resist telling her personal stories rather than focusing on the task at hand, she wasted over an hour in the hotel lobby as she affixed numbers to luggage of the just 25 travelers, which should have taken not more than 10--15 minutes rather than 90 minutes, as the shuttle bus waited outside and she talked on and on with personal trivia.

Similarly on the return from Havana to Miami, YMT insisted that travelers not book onward flights from Miami earlier than 5 or 6 p.m. Although our charter flight from Havana was delayed an hour, we arrived in Miami at 10:30 a.m. and everyone had cleared US Customs by 11:30 a.m. and ready to catch their connecting flight. I paid $75 to get my ticket changed to a noon flight rather than wait until 5:00 to start home.

The Tour Director threatened travels on day one that if anyone was 5 minutes late, she would leave them behind. Yet consistently throughout the week trip, she showed up 5 to 15 minutes late.

YMT's disrespect for the time of its patrons was very disappointing. But the gender disrespect was also deplorable. The Tour Director from Costa Rico did not seem to be aware that her sexist remarks were inappropriate. Throughout the week, she told dumb blond jokes (she is blonde) and kidded the local Cuban guide about being effeminate. She teased him about drinking "fru-fru" cocktails and frequently referred to him as her "mango, " which in Cuban means darling girl. He tried to laugh it off, but seemed embarrassed, as I was for him.

This Tour Director says she has been running this Cuban tour for many years and clearly feels confident that her employment is not in jeopardy. Therefore, I cannot recommend this YMT tour due to this inconsiderate behavior.

I hired the guy from YMT Services in order to repair my conditioning unit. I was really disappointed, ‘coz this guy took money and didn’t provide the promised services. I called him and asked to return money, but again only blah-blah and nothing more.These people are scammers and liars, who promise a lot, but in result you get nothing. Please post your comments about this company.

I recently went on one of their European tours. While the places we visited were great, we were so rushed from place to place, there was no time to really enjoy the sights. There were 2 busses in the tour, so you never really felt that you got to know the others and there was some confusion as to which bus was which. The hotels in the bigger cities were on located on the expressways far outside the cities, so it was impossible to do any exploring on your own. While the accomodations were ok, the food was horrible! Their only redeeming quality is that their tour directors were outstanding, even though YMT had accepted tourists that never should have been allowed to travel alone. The directors went over and above to make sure everyone was taken care of. I will never use YMT again!

This company not only will not meet your expectations but its employees will be rude to you when to you try to inquire about errors, especially their so-called supervisor ... Paige ... who would not give me her last name after screaming at me for wanting more information regarding my departure which is next week, so now I have been forced to cancel and YMT refuses to refund my money.

When you inquire about one of their tours they will tell you there are only a few spaces left or that it will be sold out by the end of the week. This is just a scam to get you to put down your $100 deposit. You can call back six months later and the same trip will will stil just have a few spaces left.
They will definitely stretch the truth in order to get you to commit. The price is always low but keep in mind that meals are not included and that adds up to a lot of money even though they suggest it doesn't.Unless you don't mind eating fast food for 2 weeks. You get what you pay for applies here. The complaints you read about on the internet are probably all true even though they have an excuse for all of them. I suggest you spend the extra money and go with a company that has a better reputation.

We were on a tour from Hawaii to the Northeast and Canada via land and cruise. The 16 day tour encompassed wonderful locations. However, to sum up the experience we had with YMT...when in Baltimore, our three tour buses pulled up after a long day on the road at our hotel and there were no reservations made for us. It was the culmination of bad after bad after bad, including to meet and greet at the airport and a several hour wait for transportation to the hotel Whatever you do, don't spend your hard earned money with a company who clearly has no regard for you as a human being, let alone a paying customer.

Rec'd flyer describing trip to Oberammergau Passion Play with stops in Germany, Austria, and Italy. Send 50$ to confirm 2 seats for Sept. 2010. My agent's name is Kate Ext 7145. After numerous calls for Kate I only receive an answering service who assured me that Kate would call me. I receive no other mailings from the company. After 3 weeks of calling their toll free number [protected], I get a recording saying that I cannot call from my area code. Now, I am out 50$ and probably a chance to see the play.
