Our company's Mapquest listing was erroneously suppressed by a Yext representative, when we only wanted the listing edited to update our address, not suppress the listing.

We have been unsuccessfully working with Taryn Rothstein in Support Department to correct this issue. We have been emailing and calling her to help us correct this. And after about a month, it still has not been corrected. What else do we have to do to correct our Mapquest listing? I don't understand this company. Why would they not fix our listing after we've essentially begged them to get this done. Maybe writing complaints on ComplaintsBoard will let Ms. Rothstein know that we are serious in our request and don't appreciate the feet dragging.

I am a customer of yext. I have been trying to get support department to update my company's address on mapquest, as we recently moved. Spoke to several support reps who reassured me that this would get taken care of. As far as i'm concerned, they say they're going to make the correction, but once you hang up the phone, they go to the next call and forget about you. I am not trying to be derogatory, but these "support" reps are really really poorly trained. This just makes for the most miserable experience having to call them. I think their product is good, but their support department is just awful. Would not recommend this company based on support department. Very unhappy customer. After my subscription is up, I will be seeking a new company to do this service.

After entering the corrected info, the next page wanted me to sign up for a weekly fee from Yext. I did not want any additional "advertising", but that wasn't an option, so I left that page.

Now our listing has been removed completely! I would like the listing corrected and put back where it was. At the very least, return listing as it was and I'll live with it.

Yahoo is using your information to post my company address and phone number and you are posting it wrong on purpose.

I changed some information in my ads and notified their service. They promised to change it as well.
But nothing like this has happened. I have been trying to contact customer service for a week, but it's impossible to reach them.
What's going on? The line is always busy, even in the evening. I am glad that you have many customers, and if you're unable to pick up the phone, then maybe you will reply my emails? Numerous emails I have sent to get your attention. Please, I need your assistance and I would prefer to get my money back as soon as possible.

Over 6 months ago, we moved our business to a new location with new hours of operation. Since then, we have seen a dramatic drop in website traffic and a multitude of complaint phone calls and loss of business due to incorrect business listings. We never signed up or submitted our business to be subject to the negative consequences of the websites within the Yext network to provide our potential customers with incorrect information pertaining to our business. Upon trying to fix these issues by consulting marketing professionals which enlightened us on the cause of our issues, we are constantly be prompted to pay a sort of ransom to correct our business information. We have had to hire a professional to attempt to fix these issues with the Yext network and encountered even further attempts at selling "packages" that supposedly update our business information across dozens of websites that included our business and contain inaccurate information for over 6 months. The most aggregious offender in the Yext Network that we have come across thus far is the YellowMoxie.com website. There is no functional way to contact the site owner or operator, as there is not physical address, email or phone number listed anywhere on the website. The "Update Business Listing" link points directly to misleading the Yext.com "capture" page which prompts a "scan" of its own network and a demand for payment of hundreds of dollars in order to complete the operation. The YellowMoxie.com site does not provide the legal minimum expectation of contact information in its Terms of Use or Privacy Policy. The Contact Us web form is broken. The domain name was registered anonymously and only the "domainsbyproxy.com" contact information can be found in the ICANN information through a WHOIS query. This is highly unethical and illegal as the information presented on these websites in the network for our business is effectively slander. There are multiple issues with contacting each site directly, such as in the case with LocalPages.com. They replied to my email about this issue as follows:

This link redirected me to the same "capture" page with the subsequent "scan" and a demand for payment as all the others. I am currently seeking others for a class action lawsuit against the Yext.com network for damaged. Yext is a complete scam. Here is their latest pillaging... They are changing existing customers' business phone numbers in free web listings (that the customer created) They claim that they have this "right" to change your existing listings . They changed the personal information on mine and it is now another companies but it still has all my reviews on there and it still has a picture of the company I put on there .

I had recently hired this contractor for my moms project. I live in another state and had put my trust in him.
Well, here goes the story:
My mom is a senior citizen, he had her living in her kitchen like a caged animal and hostage in her own home living in filth for two months and the job still remains unfinished.
There is not one thing done right. We hired him to put a new vinyl fence up and to remodel my moms home. I had to hire a licensed plumber to tear every last thing he installed costing us thousands of dollars. I had to hire a new contractor to tear down the fence and rebuild it costing us in the thousands. The new contractor also needs to remodel the new things he done. We need a new backsplash, flooring repairs, new doors, new trim throughout as he is unable to cut a simple miter, upside down vents, repair damaged cabinets, it's repair after repair after repair. The list is so long that I would be typing for hours.
All I can say or ask of you is to run away fast and find another contractor.
Please don't be a victim like us! I hope you take this review VERY serious as this is a real situation.

I googled my industry (hypnotherapy) on yahoo search engine and my business came up with other hypnotherapists only to find out my address is not completely right and my business phone number is incorrect. I called the phone number and it goes to a disconnected phone number. So if someone is searching on the internet and calls that number they are going to think my business is OUT OF BUSINESS. But this company YEXT is going to fix all of that, all I have to do is advertise with them and they are going to correct this information. I think they are the ones putting out the false information. How can I find out if they are the ones putting out this false information and what can I do about it?

I started my business last year. Shortly after launching my website I received a call from a Yext sales person. It sounded like a great idea. Get my name out on all these different sites. After all, starting out I needed to get some advertising going. Turns out the majority of the sites they put you on are junk. After a year I have received a whopping 0% return on investment! I canceled as soon as I received the automatic renew email...

5 years ago I moved my business to a new location across the country. At that time I was able to contact every search engine on the web and update my business info without difficulty. These [censored] have blocked that ability in the name of greed! I've moved again and when I tried to update this time, I am presented with the only option. Pay the greedy b4stards for doing something I can do myself. Or at least I used to be able to do that.
Hey at least my phone number is correct and some of the search engines haven't signed on with this piece of [censored] company so i'm still doing business without interruption.

I had a company called YEXT - a so called geo cloud online marketing company call me and I mean call me several times bugging me to get on board with their services. I just opened my business and they pretty much took control over all of my company information! Phished my email and apple account as well. They duplicated a facebook page of my business which I can not access or remove from facebook! When you search for my business on google it shows the fake facebook page instead of the page I administrate! This company needs to be looked into by the FBI or whoever! Since getting set up with them I have had nothing but problems with all of my online accounts! Do not do service with this company! BEWARE OF YEXT services! A TOTAL SCAM!

Was contacted by Yext Power listings a year ago, was told they optimize our web site on numerous search engines including Google -
They said they would clean up miss information - Our site was still showing us in a old location - They said they would fix that issue also.

So We Paid them $ 499.99
About a month or so Afterwards - I contacted them because the Search still shows our location at the old address, I was then told I had to do the corrections, they gave me the companies to contact but they did not do the work it was my responsibility. I requested a refund, they declined stating it was in a disclosure that we never received.

Then on October 15th 2013 they automatically billed me again. I called Yext and spoke to the customer service, The woman stated that this was an automatic Renewal and they would pro rate the credit. I told her we told them last year when we requested a refund and stated to cancel the service back them, they declined the refund, but stated it was not going to be renewed.

They woman stated there was no record of this and that it could only be prorated.
So THIS COMPANY IS NOTHING BUT A SCAM SERVICE

This company, yext inc., forces a business to pay for a year of service to remove incorrect information from all their partnered sites. - that's extortion, pure and simple, because the links to fix it go to them, instead of the actual site the incorrect info shows on. - and yext doesn't give you control to change the info unless you pay them - they have three links on their partnered sites, for creating, changing, and claiming a website listing. - if you don't pay for a years worth of their "service" you are not allowed to change or remove any of the incorrect info. - I never put anything on any of the sites they partner with, but my incorrect business phone number showed, and I can't remove it, and yext says they can't either, unless I buy an account, instead of just asking their "partner site" to remove it free - their partner, yellowmoxie.com doesn't want to remove it either, when I asked them. I have an abuse complaint pending, with their isp providers... I'll next go to the fcc,... The bbb.org site rates yext "c minus"... Not surprising.!... :-)... This is a bad company, and very unethical... So, it seems, yellowmoxie.com is too... Stay away...!... Maybe all the yext partnered sites are as bad too, if they let this happen.

Their promise was to advertise my business and charge me for phone calls to my business that really generated business. They monitored phone calls coming from their advertising, charged me $30 for every phone call asking about hours of operation or customers checking on their work orders. They say that they have software that detects and filters junk calls. They really charged me $30 for every junk call and refused to refund me. My bill: $390 for 13 junk calls. Total Scam Beware.

Got calls completely outside of my area of work. Called and sent emails to both the account manager and Yext Support, about the calls prior to the next billing cycle. Received no response. The billing cycle came due and Yext charged us for these calls. Again I send emails to the account manager, Yext Support and made phone calls asking what they would do with the calls charges, , again no response. Finally we sent anther email to all and called again telling Yext that if they could not respond prior to a certain date to cancel all accounts. Yext did not respond but instead canceled the accounts. At that point we had no choice but to file with the NYC BBB against Yext. Still it took two request from the BBB to get a response out of Yext. They refunded the call charges. However when I called to have the accounts reactivated, Yext informed me that the accounts were not eligible to reactivate because I had requested them canceled and they had to issue a refund. I reminded them that it was their failure to act that caused the accounts to be canceled, and we had to file a complaint to get any response out of Yext.. It took a two months to get a simple response form Yext. Stay away form them.

Yext services when I started with them were direct and understandable. I was able to get credit for their pay to call service. I get an invoice listen to the calls that came in and note down which where fake, solicitors, wrong numbers, etc. It was easy I would call in or use their website. No problems for a year. I then started getting calls that were not only wrong numbers but totally out of the scope of my region and my doctors office. They denied credit stating that they no longer provide credit for calls that were made. How the HELL do you not give credit to your customer for legitimate complaints. I wasnt pulling them out of thin air. Their customer service was not providing any at all. Finally the only solution that a supervisor, Kennan, could give me was credit for a year for maintenance. What the hell do I want a freakin $10 credit for 12 months, when I was dinged for over $700. Their quality of service is ridiculous!
