7/19/23 again after working out and attempting to tan the start button would not activate on bed 16. This was after getting ready to get in with lotion etc.. Went out to tell James and he apologized and was professional about it, however he could not override the system in order to move me to another bed. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me and no one has notified the desk to put notes up that the machine is down or needs service. Again, this is the thing that I look forward to after working out and it is stripped from me again due to staff not being informed on broken equipment.

The Saint Charles IL location’s spa area is consistently dirty every time I enter. The tanning beds are never clean and they have no towels. Also, instead of cleaning equipment, they put sticky notes everywhere telling the club members what to and not to clean with in bold exclamations! This has been getting worse for about a year at least! There is dried sweat on the tanning beds. No cleaner at times. The staff and managers have been notified countless times. One time they laughed at me like I was crazy.

I workout at 3450 w Touhy in Skokie,Illinois 6 days a week,I do not bother any one,I came to work out Monday 7am to 9am and I have this mobbed up jerk who is trained by a fat little young lady I do not even know if she is an employee she never wears an X-Sport shirt and throws her jacket any where,this mope she trains is giving me looks like he wants to fight me,I do not know who he is tell this fat trainer to control her client or fire her tell her to put an X-Sport shirt on and to put her coat in the locker room like everyone else.If their is a problem I will have this mope put in the penitentiary and engage in a law suit and own your gym.I do not bother any one in here I do not want to be bothered.The incident happened on March 20 between 7am and 8am,you should hire trainers who are in shape and control their clients.I will sit with the manager or the CEO any time. I have been a member of X-Sport gym for 15 years,I would like to know why the Hot tub in Skokie is not working,this is a premier gym that I pay extra money for ,the hot tub should be fixed not sitting there idle for months at a time,the winter time is when you want to use the hot tub ,it shows a total lack of concern for the members by not having management fix the hot tub as soon as possible,this has also been a problem at the Logan Square location and the Pipers Alley location,I would like to use the hot tub after working out please fix them.

I got such an attitude from a gym staff member, that made my working out experience unpleasant to a point that I'm switching back to LA Fitness, even though I'll have to drive more.
Overall, this environment isn't staffed with people who'd greet members as they enter the gym and a lot of times the front desk is empty and has nobody to check you in when you arrive.
It's unbelievable how ineffective local management and Customer Services are. I filled a couple complaints in the website and never heard back from them. It felt like the business already has too many customers that I'd not make any difference at all.
If you expect a polite and decent treatment, don't join Xsport. That would be my advice.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.

So I had an xsport membership last year that I eventually cancelled. I called this year to find out if there were specials or any rejoining fees. Fast forward 2 months later and I realize i've been charged the highest monthly fee for both january and february. I call xsport - prepare to hold for 45 minutes before talking to anyone and was told they would look into it and get back to me within 24 hours.

2 weeks later the issue was still not resolved and each call I made yielded nothing as I was told I had to speak to the original agent that helped me. The 3rd week of january I was charged for a third time. Twice in a month. I disputed through the bank at this point and decided to let them handle it. I did request on 3 occasions that a manager call me back. This, of course, never happened.

I had been XSport Fitness and Spa since December 2010. Two months ago I cancelled my membership but I am still paying with my credit card. Today I came to them an asked the reason of charges. They promised a refund, but I got another charge a week late instead of refund.

Be Forewarned !

It is DIFFICULT to cancel a membership with XSPort (a.k.a. Capital Fitness). I've been through it this month (May 2010) and it is DIFFICULT to cancel.

My advice is to NOT SIGN with Xsport until they change their method of cancelling a membership.

I have had fitness memberships in three different states at many different companies and at Xsport it is EXTREMELY difficult to cancel a membership.

Bottom-Line Advice: Sign up elsewhere.

Scam, already contacted the BBB on them. I plan to go to court if they do not make ammends. Tried their "trail" offer and they charged me $175 for emailing them rather than sending them a mailed cancelation letter.
