WorldMark by Wyndham - Deceiving/ Discriminating of single people

It was the worst experience i have ever received. The person I was talking to was trying to force me to give her personal information. She was very confusing and deceiving. Just because I was single i was not allowed to participate. They fooled me in to wasting time and money. I hope they get scammed and discriminated against to see how it feels. I am a single mom and do everything on my own. Yet just because I’m not with someone I couldn’t afford this. They were very unprofessional and crooked. They force you into sign you name and initials on everything.

Desired outcome: not being treat like that / what was promised without the lies and misinformation

WorldMark by Wyndham - guests being mistreated

I gifted a stay to 2 deserving people and when asked to attend a presentation they did. However, I, as an owner did NOT know that guests get punished and are no longer allowed to stay there again for not buying into Worldmark by Wyndham. My guest was asked to even SIGN a paper saying she would not go back! I mean does this help the hotel? Wow! I can't believe guests are punished like this! I would like for someone to PLEASE email me where I can find this rule in any of the books I may have. And from now on, I did not realize I have to tell my guests to NOT go to the presentation. I will be telling ALL my friends who are owners to warn their guest of rude and unprofessional-ism representation of Worldmark by Wyndham employees at the Boulevard in Las Vegas. My number is [protected] and I would like someone to call me to discuss this further.

WorldMark by Wyndham - sales presentation

My Wife and I were approached at the airport about a sales presentation for two shows and two dinners for $50 and for attending a sales presentation at the world mark on las vegas blvd. we went since we had 2-4 hours before our checkin at the grand desert and it was a good deal for the shows and dinner. long story short, we declined all offers and then came home to three letters: one stating a $25K account was opened in my Wife's name, another stating a $30K one was attempted to be opened in my Wife's name but was rejected by Comenity because the $25K had just been opened, and a third one stating a $30K account had been opened in my name. My Wife's letters came first so I had to call Comenity and close the account and have a letter sent to the Credit bureau. Then a couple days later I had to do the same thing when my letter came. These jokers requested a third account after getting rejected by the bank. Come to find out from Comenity this is actually a regular occurrence for them, closing unauthorized accounts. At their suggestion, I am writing this review to hopefully save anyone else from the inconvenience and annoyance. I will say though the owner care department is awesome. They are responsive, courteous and prompt. Note to everyone, you have to call the reservation number and ask to be transferred to owner care. Upon hearing your issue, they will assign you a claim number and then you will send an email with your complaint and claim number in the subject line to ownersupport@worldmarktheclub.com. You will be assigned an agent responsible for your claim which is awesome.

On a side note, any wyndham owners out there (club wyndham, world mark, or otherwise) don't go to those member info sessions. Its just a ploy for another sales pitch. DON'T DO IT and just get started enjoying your vacation.

WorldMark by Wyndham - bait and switch sale of timeshare

We were sold a time share for in excess of $18, 000 using a classical bait and switch technique. We purchased the time share on 10/24/2010. Before we made the purchase, we told the sales person we were not impressed with the time share location at 8601 South Las Vegas Blvd which is also the location of their local sales office. We were attempting to make arrangements for family members visiting over Christmas. We made it clear we wanted our family to stay at the Grand Desert. We were familiar with this time share and thought it was part of WorldMark by Wyndham. The sales person assured us that she had a 3 bedroom unit available for our family. We were instructed to contact another person at Worldmark to get a confirmation number. We contacted that person and were told that she would get back to us with the confirmation number. We never heard from her. We contacted the sales person who assured us there was a unit available and we were instructed to contact another person at WorldMark to get a confirmation number. That person stated she would get back to us with a confirmation number. We never heard from that person. We went to the sales office and spoke personally with the sales person on 11/06/2010 and with her supervisor. Both assured us there was a unit available at the Grand Desert and they would get back to us. On 11/11/2010 the sales person called and told us there was a unit available at 2 other locations. The 1st was at 5275 West Tropicana and the 2nd was at 4225 Spencer. These 2 locations should not even be considered to be resorts. They are more like condominium complexes in undesirable locations. We told her no thank you. Her supervisor then called and finally told us something truthful. The Grand Desert is part of RCI and they required advance requests of 10 months. If we had been given this information at the time of purchase, we never would have signed a contract to purchase the timeshare. We were knowingly mislead by the sales people at WorldMark making an informed decision impossible. We then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Las Vegas who has forwarded the complaint to their office in Central Florida. WorldMark address in Florida is Wyndham Resort Development Corporation, 8427 SouthPark Circle Orlando FL 32819. The Phone number is [protected]. We consider ourselves to be the victim of a scam. We clearly stated at the time of purchase, what we desired. WorldMark mislead us by saying that they could meet our needs. This was patently untrue. Our charges were placed on a credit card which has been cancelled. We have not paid any out of pocket expenses. We are seeking to cancel the contract. If anyone has any suggestions, legal or otherwise, they would be appreciated.

As a 5 year Wynless TS owner whose been duped, try Tripadvisor.com or Extra holidays by Wyndham which is Wynless rentals. They don't tell you they rent when they're selling. Really cuts down on owner vacation availability. DONT BUY.
