Wimpy International Product

I visited one of the franchises at Wimpy R21 1 Stop. I bought food for 2 people around 5:45 and took it as a takeaway. Upon arrival at home the food was not appetising at all, it was dry and with no sauce. I’ve bought the same meal at different Wimpy’s and not even once have I complained but the one I bought at R21 1-Stop was horrible. They didn’t even include the salad dressing for the salad to make it even worse. I called their number found on google ([protected]) 5 times with no answer. I was so frustrated and visited the Wimpy 1 Stop yesterday to lay a complain. They even called the chef to come see the food and they all agreed on what I was complaining about. I’m really not happy with the service rendered, it clearly shows that they do not care how they cook or package the food as the garage is mainly on the free way and possibilities are that it’s used by people driving long distances. After such an experience I definitely do not recommend Wimpy.

Wimpy International Quarter chicken and chips

08 July 2022 at 11:00 I ordered a Quarter chicken and chips from one of your stores which is based in Hayfields the chicken was red and old couldn't even chop it as it was just falling into pieces. I'm totally upset as I paid for this meal. I waited for a whole to get so much dissatisfaction. The chips were very cold with no taste.. Ohh my God the roll was so hard. I'm totally disappointed with the service of that store😡😠😡

Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a refund and a voucher for the dissatisfaction

Wimpy International Very bad attitude from the staff not allowing us to enter the Resturant

Today on the 5th of july we went to wimpy Mohandessien in Egypt Giza in Batal ahmed abdelazziz street, we went upon the post that wimpy's Egypt posted 6 days ago that there is soft opening and they are welcoming any one to go, So we were a group of 11 people decided to go try wimpy, although our home was far away from the branch .unforatenutely, we werent able to enter the resturant as there was a person called mohamed or ahmed i cant remember exactly he was standing on the door and not allowing people to enter except social media influencers . I Think this is so unrespectful, as the resturant was open and we arent allowed to enter, Howewever there was a post on social media saying that the resturant is open (I will attach the screenshot). Also we werent the only people who faced this issue there were many standing outside not able to enter . I think that's not accepted at all. specially for a resturant just opening new, its not good for its repuation . we were all upset that such things happens from an international franchise .

Wimpy International Breakfast

We visited your Wimpy Newcastle (N3) and had the Sunrise Breakfast and the special of pork sausage and boerewors and two eggs.
It took 45minutes and two complaints to get our meal.
A: Plates were cold.
B: Eggs were cold and half raw.
C: my pork sausages were not cooked in the middle, pork raw!
D: Breakfast at Wimpy should be quick, you are after all a "quick service restaurant"
An hour turnaround from sitting to leaving is unacceptable. The restaurant had 5 tables not close to full.

Wimpy International Toilet facilities

I was in wimpy next to golf reef city casino along m1highway, and I was wanted to use the toilets I was told I cant use them since I don't have r2.00 coin and I explained that I don't have cash with me and it's risky to carry money during covid pandemic, I was told I will have pay or else I cannot not access toilets which was devastating 😡 and I couldn't believe that kind of treatment

Wimpy International fraudulent transaction

I am a South African currently working in Zambia.
I bought food on the 29 January 2020 at 07:02 to the amount of 300 Kwacha (314.16 Rand) and paid with my debit card at the speed-point.

After 2 days I realized on my bank account that an extra amount of 30 000 Kwacha (31 134.35 Rand) was deducted from my bank account from the same Wimpy merchant. Which I did not authorize.
Upon going to Wimpy Kitwe, the manager showed me a speedpoint slip and denied that the 30 0000 transaction went through on the speedpoint. Yet I have proof that the 30 000 Kwacha was inddeed debited off my account from the same merchant, and my bank also confirmed that the transaction indeed went through.

Wimpy International cleanliness and poor attitude from manager

To whom this may concern

It is with much disappointment that I feel to write this complaint. For many years our family enjoyed the hospitality and convenience that Wimpy ensures wherever our travels take us through SA. With our recent vacation to George/Mossel Bay we thought to arrive early for our flight in order to (what we thought will be an enjoyable meal) eat breakfast at Wimpy (Wimpy, George Airport).

With stepping in we were seated by the Manager, no mention of the airconditioning being out of order for the past year (as we later saw on Google reviews), and served by a different waiter. Receiving our menus we began to browse through the options. I tried opening pages and found that they were stuck together by, what looked like, old cheese sauce and reeked of mold and sour milk. Upon discovering this we called the Manager (Valencia) who only stared us down silently, took the menu and left. No apology, no excuse.

Soon afterwards it was clear how disconcerned she really is with the hospitality industry as she placed this contaminated menu back on the stack of menus. Upon further attentiveness from our part it is very clear how negligent Valencia's managerial style is. She yells across the floor when addressing a waiter or figets with either her shoulder under her shirt or taps on her skirt around the crotch area. She does not do any rounds on the floor ensuring good service to customers, rather she will be found at the entrance surrounded by waiters chatting and laughing.

No follow up visit after our dissatisfaction ever happened from Valencia's part. It was clear that she wanted nothing more to do with our table.

The waitress, almost immediately after she saw us speaking to the manager, took off her name tag for us to identify her by. And it is clear that little to no attention is given to the waiters' dress code, the condition of the trays and glasses, and general maintenance. When the food came to the table, there weren't sufficient cutlery for everyone at the table.

When we hurried out, not even Valencia nor the nameless waiter greeted our party of 5.

I doubt that our trust in Wimpy will ever be fully regained.

Wimpy International rude waitress and poor services

The waitress was very rude, from the moment we got there, she took about 30 minutes to give us the menu and when she finally brought the food she was literally throwing the plates and glasses at us. When we asked for the bill she did not bring it until we had to got to the front desk ask them for our bill so we can pay there Her name (Samu N) Table 032/4 on the 29/12/2019.. Even the manager did not pay attention to our complaints! Truly disappointed at the disturbing services estcourt wimpy offers! I truly don't see myself going there again because of this

Wimpy International rude manager and incorrect order

I visited your wimpy at South Coast Mall Shelly Beach ordered a toasted sandwich egg and cheese no bacon i do not eat bacon against my religion and toasted chicken and mayo.

I drive home 25 km away only to find bacon in my sandwich. I spoke to the manager Annamarie she says cook admits she put bacon nothing she can do about it i must drive back with the sandwich she will swop i asked if i could get a refund at a later stage petrol will cost more than sandwich she said no i can do what i want if not happy go somewhere else in future put the phone down on me like i did something wrong she was very rude not managment mateial very sad thought being the company u are staff training and customer service with be on top of your agenda. Not sure if I will support your franchise again.

Wimpy International product and service

Complaint I have fotos to support what I am saying! Oaktree wimpy terrible service and food not up to standard looking second hand tasting bitter the fries eggs also looked second hand. Waited almost 40minutes for food arriving not very warm and looking horrible unappetising as well as poor service knowing good quality food take time but when arriving there were merely 2 couples at other tables

Wimpy International the food

Good day. I visited the wimpy branch at Sun city on the 24th October 2019. We ordered 1 chicken salad.. 2 chicken burgers and 1 beef burger. The beef burger was fine.. But the chicken burger was inedible. It had an oily processed chicken patty on it. My kids wouldn't even want to taste it. The taste was horrendous.
The chicken salad was even more inedible. It had a whole bunch of lettuce that was going brown.. With a few tomatoes and 3 pieces of bland salt and pepper chicken.

If this is the international standard.. Then I would rather stay hungry. There is just no pride in the food standards being served to guests these days.

Wimpy International quality of product

We were at the airport to see our two kids off who are 16 and under.

Treating to a milkshake and a plate of chips as this is how we have fond memories with wimpy. Well that was smashed quickly.
I had to call for service once we seated ourselves.

The three Milkshakes were milk without the shake. It was truly milk in a glass with flavor. Stierrie stampie shop bought is better. It took 20 minutes to bring the flavored milk. Then we Ordered 1 plate of chips stating we need to leave soon but kids needed a snack

Plate of chips for R35 where half the plate had chips. 15 minutes to bring to us.

We advised the waiter of the poor flavored milk she offered to replace but no time.

We got the bill and then waited to pay. Eventually decided to go to the till ourselves as our waiter never returned.

In all this time Merle the manager stands chatting with the staff. On leave she went and spoke to her first table since we got there. I did express my disappointment to her.

I believe it starts with the Manager on the floor as the waiter except for the bill did the best she could.

Wimpy International food made my parents very sick

Hi

My parents went for an early lunch to the newly opened Wimpy in Fairlands on Beyers Naude. Being the only Halaal Wimpy that is so close to us they were quite excited to go.
My mum orderd a T bone with chips and my Dad a mixed Grill . After taking 2 bites my mum realised the T bone had gone bad and tasted terrible.She felt like she wanted to throw up, She immediately sent it away and refused to eat anything further. My dad had eaten the mixed grill though complaining that the sausage didnt taste good either. To fix the situation they had given my parents Wimpy mugs. My Dad got home and got very sick last night. Had a very upset and runny tummy along with vomiting. I write to you to let you know that this service is appauling and unacceptable. We do not want any food vouchers and will not be going back to that Wimpy ever again. But so that you are aware of the type of food being served I really hope something is going to be done about this unfortunate encounter.

Wimpy International wrong order

On the 4th August 19:48 we ordered take away at the Wimpy at Villiers, coming from Johannesburg. We ordered 2 mega cremechinos and 2 big cheese with chips. We live in Frankfort so when we got home and opened the burgers one was correct but the other one had no garnish and no sauce, only the patties and buns. We also waited 20 minutes, while customers who ordered after us got their order before us, which included wraps and toasted sarmies in their order. We never had a problem with this Wimpy and this was the first but this is truely unacceptable. Please contact me on [protected]@gmail.com or [protected].

Wimpy International product

good day
I visited a Wimpy near me on Saterday 20 July 2019. Waverley Plaza
i orderd a Crispy Stack burger for R72. that on its own was a bit much for me but anyway it looked real good on the menu so ordered it anyway.
please see photos attached of what i was served.
photo on the left was what i got and the one on the right is what it looks like in the menu.
i think the photos says it all really!
false advertising and a total ripoff!
R72.90 without chip that is extra!

Wimpy International food

Hi we were at MUSGRAVE Wimpy in Durban. Our food arrived COLD, my chicken was not fully cooked but was surprisingly falling off the bone as per the picture.

My partner ordered a steak and the mushroom sauce was bad and he took it back It came back with less chips and they ddnt remove the sauce they added more sauce over the bad sauce. The food was still cold. I unfortunately forgot to take a picture.

When we asked for the bill the waiter said they don't have any sweets🤯

We then asked for the manager who only apologized for the food said they do have sweets and he will bring them. We waited until we left.

When advised the manager we were unhappy about the service. He said he's sorry and we're always there we know it's not always like this but we've never been there before. Ever. Even if we have been there before it's not an excuse for such poor service.

Our Bill had no sweets. It was highly unpleasant especially after the service we received. We were extremely hungry having skipped breakfast and we decided to eat and we would've let it go if the corrected my partners food properly with a fresh sauce and if the manager showed genuine concern. Wimpy International poor service

Your service at Wimpy winelands south bound is pathetic to say the least. No waiter came around to place my order, the manager eventually took it after 15 minutes of waiting. The food only came half an hour later whereas Customers who came afterwards recieved there order within 15 minutes. Bear in mind I had a baby who was also getting restless sitting and waiting around for better days to come along. Only once I got up then the waiters and managers noticed the urgency and started signaling to me it's on it's way. I ended up only paying for the drinks. The manager never offered an apology or nothing. Clearly wimpy has enough business that they do not care about customers. I will definitely spread the word to fellow mates of the crap service that wimpy offers and will never return again! Real time waster

Wimpy International the treatment from ulundi wimpy staff

My sister and I went into the restaurant for waffles and ice cream, we shared it and connected to the restaurants wifi. As soon as we were done eating the waitress serving us came to our table with the bill, stood by the table as if to say we must hurry pay and get going. She had no name tag on. I asked her for a glass of water and told her we're still here we'll pay on our way out she told us she's about to leave. So we paid for the waffels but she didnt leave she started mopping the floors and went on to wipe other tables, we were on our phones using the internet next thing we get disconnected and some old lady who is also wimpy staff came to us and told us some guy had been outside using the internet since the morning but there was nobody outside. So I dont know if its because we only ordered 1 waffle they treated us like they did and basically chased us out the restaurant and cut us of the internet like that. Im always at wimpy, I take my family and kids out every month and we always enjoy a wimpy meal but today I was not happy with how the staff there treated my sister and I

Wimpy International worst service

I must say that this was the most atrocious service I have ever received anywhere. Firstly our waiter was clearly not in the mood to assist us, then we noticed how pathetically dirty the floors and everything else was. She never even had the decency to come around to ask if everything was still okay. We had to literally have her called. Ones our food order was placed (at another waiter), we received it with not even a question of if anything else is needed. Lets be honest, to sit in an airport is never a nice thing, but to receive such disgusting service I think is not acceptable!
One don't complain about cold food or the price to where the food has gone to, but you guys expect us to be happy with a filthy place and bad service.

Wimpy International bad service

06/10/2018 09:00 Wimpy Malibongwe Drive-Thru Order #151

I ordered x2 Streaky B-fast and x1 Best of Both. Instead i received x3 Streaky B-fast. i have to drive more than 2km's to get to that outlet and that is petrol wasted. i even asked the lady at the window "Please make sure its correct" she said yes and let me drive off. i had to drive back again another 2Km's to rectify this. This is rubbish service and who is going to compensate my fuel and time wasted?! let alone, wasting my valuable time as i was at work on that day.
