Whirlpool WML55011HS06 Fire

I was cooking popcorn on popcorn setting and was in the kitchen when I smelled smoke. I ran to the microwave and there were flames inside. I had to manually open the microwave and threw a damp wash cloth inside and salt to get the fire out. It was really hot. My house had a little smoke and fire alarms went off but no damage. Just a bad smell. I plan to see if Lowe's will refund or exchange but I feel just a little uneasy about this model now.

Desired outcome: If Lowe’s won’t exchange I’d like help from the manufacturer and want to let Whirlpool know if the incident in case it’s a design problem.

Whirlpool Magtag aqua lift self cleaning overn

I purchased this Magtag stove with the aqua lift self cleaning over in 2019 and it has been a constant battle with cleaning. I baked a casserole which boiled over and cleaned right away. It took 3 or 4 self cleaning cycles and a lot of scrubbing to get the spill off the bottom of the oven. This is a constant occurrence. The splatters on the back and sides of the oven will not come off. Customer Service recommended Affresh stove top cleaner for the oven. I had already tried that without success. I even globbed the cleaner on and left for several hours. I might have removed 25% of the splatters.
On a review site, I saw it was recommended to use something like Dawn soap which I have tried plus another degreaser. Nothing really works well.

I called the store where I bought it from and recommended that they never sell another Aqua lift self cleaning oven again. This is an oven for people who never use ovens to cook in.

At my age it is very difficult to have a basic regular non self cleaning oven. It doesn't do well with my health. I am so upset that I might never buy another product from you. I can't trust your products anymore. You use to be really good.

Oh to have my Sears Kenmore stove back.

Whirlpool KitchenAid Refrigerator

We purchased a KitchenAid Refrigerator-Model KRFF507HPS for our new home and it was delivered June, 2021. The unit was making excessive noises, service was provided but the techs admitted that the unit while functional was making continuuos loud noises. Subsequesnt to the service appointment, the water line to the unit leaked and cause some minor floor buckling to one of the wood boards. Whirlpool decided that it would replace our refrigerator with a new unit.
We were contacted to schedule a delivery date and it was advised that we had some minor floor damage from the leak. Whirlpool changed its decision to replace the unit, cancelled the delivery and advised us to make a claim with the legal department. An employee name Kendall in Customer Service has made it impossible to resolve the problem.
I have since replaced the floor board and notified Whirlpool we have no damage claim. Customer service told me that Kendall has blocked it from replacing or solving the problem.

Whirlpool Fridge / freezer H3T811IW (18months old)

No spare draw part, for 11 weeks, on, friday, 3rd September 2021.
I purchased this Hotpoint Fridge/ Freezer 18 months ago, new, from, AO online. I 1st contacted Hotpoint
(Whirlpool) by phone, on 18th June 2021, then on 2nd July, 22nd July, they sent an Engineer to my home, on the 28th July. I telephoned Hotpoint again, on the 13th August. On every phone call & engineers visit, I have been told, the clear plastic drawer front, is out of stock.

My previous Hotpoint Fridge /Freezer was a Hotpoint, and, approximately 18 years old, but was showing signs of wear, so I replaced. I was alarmed, when the delivery driver said, this new Fridge /Freezer, will not last as long, he obviously, spoke from his delivery experience. I have since, the 13th August contacted the CEO Fergus Johnston, on the 18th August, who said, he only controls Ireland Whirlpool, but asked me to email my complaint details, to pass onto correct CEO, which I did. I have had 3 emails from Marion, CEO, support team, on 19th August, 2 on the 19th August, the 2nd claiming, the part is in stock, and, is being posted to me. It didn't arrive, so I emailed Marion, on the 27th August to inform her. She asked for confirmation, that I still had not received, on the 28th August, I confirmed yesterday, I had not received the Front Draw part. Today I have received another Email from Heather CEO, Service Support, who has told me, the part is still out of stock, and no ETA, and she suggests I now contact Domestic and General, to discuss. It appears they are sending me around in circles, with no result. They are using a reference number, now, [protected]

Whirlpool Side by side refrigerator/freezer

I would like to know who the idiot is that designed side by side refrigerator model #WRS325FDAM. The wires coming from the bottom of the freezer door eventually get cut by opening and closing the freezer door. This causes the ice maker to quit working. This is a manufacturer's defect. I am sure that Whirlpool won't do anything about this, but I have had Whirlpool appliances in my entire home for 30 years, but I will never ever buy another Whirlpool appliance as long as I live.

Whirlpool Stove aqua cleaning

This is the worst stove I have ever had in my life I've had white stoves for years and years and years I think my whole married life of 30 years I had a white stove and it was always good self cleaning everything no problems but everything changed to stainless and so we decided to have a whole package of stainless steel and this stove is the worst stove I have ever had the sides were the black are already rusted and falling apart the Aqua clean is horrible it takes me forever to clean the stove. I do it at least three times and by the time I'm finished it's still looks like it needs to be cleaned it's crazy I don't have the strength to do it. The top always looks scratched up and beat up that I got another top to replace it from whirlpool. And within a week it looked just as bad as the first one the finger prints forget it I ain't even gonna go there I would really love it if someone replace the stove for me. Oh yeah biggest problem the door doesn't even close right never did my air-conditioning is constantly running when my oven is on

Whirlpool Complete lack of service / customer care / new appliance out of order too often

Deep apology for such a letter in these strenuous times.
The appliance in question is a refrigerator Whirlpool W79210 OX, bought in Skopje, N. Macedonia (attached is the warranty list). The receipt is also attached (in MKD which equals 550, 00 EUR in a country with average salary of less than 450, 00 EUR).
The appliance went out of order shortly after the purchase (January 2021, warranty attached). The response time for the service was longer than 10 days (we are talking fridge, directly related with safety of the food, not a coffee machine). Service report attached (something has been replaced). That something lasted less than a month.
Yes, we tried the representative / agent directly, and yes we tried via friends of friends. To no avail. The appliance, Whirlpool, is still not working properly. It doesn't cool properly. The food is regularly wasted. There is no response time of the service. No service yet. Still.
The appliance was supposed to be new, at least that's what was paid for. With such frequent defects, one could become suspicious that it might be second-hand sold at the price of a new one. It's just difficult to accept that a new Whirlpool fridge would go off with such a rate.
The fridge is not the first Whirlpool appliance in the immediate and extended family, but it might be the last one.
The claim that market is insignificant could be understandable. Such unprofessional attitude and poor customer care could not.
Kindly ask to accelerate the response / request a return and a new unit. New.

Whirlpool Washing machine

We bought a 13kg whirlpool washing machine in September 2018. The machine made a horrible noise from day one, after many attempts to have this sorted out with Whirlpool we finally got a new machine 3 months after purchase. Now, August 2021 the machine's clutch (as the technician explained it to me) is rusted shut. Whirlpool told me that unfortunately they only cover certain things during the 2 year warranty (which I understand), but surely this kind of thing should not happen given that Whirlpool is supposed to be one of the leading brands? I mean, maybe if we were living near the coast the rust would have been possible, but in Jhb? I will not recommend Whirlpool to any one. Their after sales service has been nothing but a head ache.

Whirlpool dishwasher

I've not been happy with the performance of this dishwasher and now I'm just frustrated that I'm stuck with it. The silverware doesn't always get clean and some of the handles won't fit into the small holes of the rack. The rinse aide opening is a bit confusing and a lot of my glassware is etched even though I've kept plenty of Finish in it. I don't have $1000.00 just laying around to replace it. I wish I had never bought this thing. The old one at least got the dishes and silverware clean and unetched.

Whirlpool Built-in refrigerator

I purchased a built-in KitchenAid refrigerator 2 years ago and 5 of the 8 the interior lights of the refrigerator are not working. All three on the left side and the bottom two on the right side are not working. The lights and circuit panel were replaced and subsequent the initial replacement, it has occurred three additional times.

Whirlpool Refrigerator with top freezer stainless

I purchased this refrigerator three months ago. It has never worked correctly. Water collects on the top shelf and now it has stopped cooling altogether. The brain trust at Whirlpool thinks leaving someone with a refrigerator for ten days is alright. Hope their families do not have to eat or throw hundreds of dollars of rotten food away. Just put your food in the maw of a dead dinosaur and you will get better results. I will never, ever, ever buy another Whirlpool piece of junk and I will make sure as many people on Twitter do not either. Have a nice day.

Whirlpool Top Load Washer Wtw5005kw

I purchased my washer 3 months ago and it stopped working. I called customer service and waited 40 minutes in queue. I was advised a service order was placed and a tech would call the day before. The day of the appointment I called CS again and again waited approx 40 min in queue again and discover the order was not put through. I waited a month for this appt and now another month I had to wait. Finally, a tech comes out and advises the part (actuator) is needed and whirlpool is going to use the old part because the new one is just not working is on back order and I may have to wait anywhere between 1-3 months for it to come in. I am a single mom who relied on the whirlpool name and you failed me. I spend 1 night a week of my life to go to a laundromat and spend around $30/week to wash my family's clothes. I have to expose myself to Covid because you produced a product with messed up parts and you knew about it. I spent my hard earned money on a new washer and I ended up with a mess. Whirlpool needs to make this right! this is crazy... I want this washer picked up and replaced with a working washer. I should not have to budget for laundromat expenses after purchasing a new appliance.

So sorry you are going through this. I am going to get a Miele even though they only sell compact machines now in the US. Love their dishwasher, won't buy any other brand so we shall see. What a mess. Sending you prayers for a properly serviced/replaced appliance. Go to BBB and file a complaint and don't quit. Pain in the neck. I'd try your local TV station or news/radio station too.

shocking useless reply. All over the internet, all I hear is that Whirlpool fails to pick up the phone quickly, misses appointments and doesn't have parts. don't sell what you cannot stand by or repair quickly. I get that COVID is messing with supply lines...pity we gave away our power to China - but step and make us proud. I am supposed to choose a W/D for my soon to be renovated home. I will NEVER buy Samsung anything and was hoping to get Miele, best there is/worth every penny. I read the Yale Appliance reviews and was going to buy whirlpool but after all the complaints on all the diff websites, heck no, not a chance.

Whirlpool Microwave

We purchased our home in November 2015. The prior owner had a connection for purchasing Whirlpool appliances at employee pricing. We bought the four piece kitchen from the owner and installed ourselves. We have a side by side refrigerator that the refrigerator door won't stay in place and slams open against the wall; a gas range that I have to lay on the floor to use the broiler; a dishwasher that takes 3 hours and 16 minutes to go thru a normal cycle and now a microwave with a crack in the face of the door. I guess I am not "valued" enough for Whirlpool to fix this issue with the microwave.

When we came back from Florida to Ohio (where microwave is) in May of this year (2021) we saw there is a crack on the bottom of the door. There really is no explanation as to how this crack happened. We called customer service in June and we're advised nothing could be done by Whirlpool to either replace or repair. Can you please look at this again and reconsider helping us?

Whirlpool upright freezer

purchased new and freezes up with ice, faulty door after waiting for there warranty department to send service for 6weeks they said door was faulty and need to wait for parts approximately another 14 weeks, already lost $400 worth of food . have spent countless hours on hold. i have always use whirlpool appliances but now have purchased my last one

Whirlpool Refrigerator

I purchased a refrigerator at Home Depot on March 12 of this year and now we're at the end of July. I have had a problem with it freezing because it will never cool down and then everything freezes up and stops working. I have called whirlpool and Home Depot, I have had a technician at my house six times already and all he does is defrost the back panel. He's only replaced one part and I can't get any more parts so I finally said that they need to replace it, whirlpool says that I have to be forced to have a technician replace parts at least three times. They don't care how many times a technician has to come to my house which has been once a month since I've received it. Also every time the technician hast to take out the back panel to defrost it it causes cosmetic damage of scraping on the inside. These people need to be sued and put in their place. This is absolute insanity. Home Depot should be on the hook too because they're the ones that sell their [censored]ty products and [censored]ty service

I bought a whirlpool refrigerator a couple months ago. I am not pleased at all. The refrigerator freezes things and I have to throw some of it away. Apparently you cannot fill the frig anymore because it blocks airflow?

How is the efficient I have to run another frig just for my everyday items? I am very upset and disappointed with the new refrigerator. I have spent a lot of money and can't hardly put anything in it. My last frig was a kitchen aid and it only lasted 6 1/2 years. What can a person buy so they can fill up the frig and it will last a reasonable amount of time?

Whirlpool Warranty product exchange promises not honored

Purchased a Maytag washing machine model MVWX655DW2 Oct 22, 2020. Machine stopped functioning in Jun 2021. As no technicians were available to fix it Whirlpool agreed to exchange it on June 23. I also paid for an upgrade as same model wasn't available. I was told the replacement machine was in stock and would arrive in two to three weeks at the most. The only tracking info I received showed the machine was to arrive at the servicing dealer July 08, but that the shipment was canceled. The transportation company confirmed that it was cancelled by Whirlpool even after the product was already in its possession. After many calls, emails, and "live chats", and many hours on hold I have been refused any kind of accurate information. I had even been told that the shipment had never been cancelled (I can provide link to tracking info that proves otherwise).

Given the lack of forthrightness and refusal to provide info, I am not confident I will receive any restitution.

By the way, I just want to point out that this site did nothing to assist in rectifying the problem. It took going to legitimate organizations such as the BBB and the state attorney general. This site itself is run by greedy self-serving cowards.

This complaint seems to have been submitted before I was done with the comments.

I want to add that I will not appreciate it if Whirlpool responds by telling me to contact their products exchange division, or to "reach out" to them on Facebook. I have done both. Running around on social media giving lip-service to how much they care is not service at all. Each call to Whirlpool requires well over an hour on the phone, and then they refuse to address the matter honestly and to take care of it. I am done wasting my time contacting them.

Whirlpool refuses to give me any accurate information or tracking info, and have even claimed that the product was delivered. It wasn't, but they refuse to look in to it.

They are a joke they will not stand behind there products they expect you to pay full price for something that has to be repaired. Three or Four times in the first 6 months of purchace. They pay a repair man but won't replace there product. They done me in for a life time never again

Well, going to outside agencies is what it takes. I filed complaints with BBB and MI AG and had a response almost immediately. No more hours on hold and worthless propagandists running around on social media giving lip-service to how much they care and telling you to "reach out" without actually doing anything. I now have a full refund and a new Speed Queen TC5. It is shameful how Whirlpool has destroyed once great American icons. I will do all I can to avoid their products from now on.

Their Specialty Team is just the same bunch of dishonest Whirlpool propagandists who do nothing to correct the problem. The only way to get restitution is to go to organizations such as the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Michigan Attorney General. That's what I had to do and Whirlpool took action almost immediately. Dealing directly with Whirlpool means hours on hold on the phone only to be lied to. Also, warn anyone and everyone what garbage Whirlpool products have become, and the complete lack of any meaningful customer service.

Whirlpool Washing machine wtw7120hw0

Purchased 10/26/20. We noticed an occasional pool of water on the floor near the softener dispenser corner. Problem got worse so called for service. Service technician 4/19/2021, technician found nothing said he would contact Whirlpool tech support. 6/28 2nd visit technician ordered new softener dispenser, water puddles getting larger. 7/14 new softener dispenser installed, water leak larger. Would like washer replaced as technician cannot find source of the leak.

Desired outcome: REplace washer

Whirlpool WTW5000DW3

We bought our washer in November 2020. In February 2021, we called for a repair because our washer wasn't washing our clothes. They came and repaired it and the gentleman that came knew exactly what the problem was and was in and out in 10 minutes. Here we are July 2021 and the same exact thing has happened! We cannot get an appointment for service for 2 weeks and we are now without a washer for this time. At what point would you consider this washer a lemon ? Why is my family being put out for a machine that is 9 months old and I have had to call 2 times for service? Poor customer service on whirlpools part…..

Desired outcome: Repair service immediately or new washing maching

I have the same problem with this model. I purchased it March 2021 and in July 2021 I requested service on Whirlpools website. They sent a tech and all he did was reset something on the panel and left. Same week I had the same problem, machine just grunts but doesn't agitate. I submitted service request and a different guy comes. He flips machine over and shows me some plastic part that controls the agitator that is not even engaged. He puts it in place, runs a test cycle and it appears to be ok. Sais it's fixed now you won't have that problem again. I wash a load and it agitates. The next load doesn't and I had to wash that load three times and agitate with my hands to get it clean. This is the third time i write it up and I instructed them to take the machine, fix it and run two test washes with clothes and watch it with the lid open so they can confirm that it in fact is washing. This is the first time in forty years I have purchased a lemon. I hope they can fix it so I can avoid a big hassle with the manufacturer.

Whirlpool Maytag washer

My washer has been broken since end of May. It is still under warranty. Repair guy came out and did nothing and told me it wasn't anything wrong with it. It got worse. Guy came out again and had to order parts. That was the first part of June. I got not pats and called them again and they decided to get me a ew washer that order was put in June 23. Still nothing. Every time I call it is hours on hold. I am trying to find out where my new washer is now and have been on hold for 1 hour so far. Never again will I buy Whirplool/Maytag they are awful!

Whirlpool Refrigerator

Hello. I purchased my side-by-side Whirlpool refrigerator 22 months ago, brand new from Lowe's. It is a piece of junk. Whatever is in the refrigerator placed on the freezer side freezes. I have turned the temperature down, etc and nothing-it still freezes items. I mentioned this to the rep. at Lowe's and was told that this is a common complaint with this model.
Model # WRS571CIHZ01.
After a long day at work, I have come home to a frozen Coke that exploded all over the refrigerator.
Don't waste your money.
