Whirlpool Whirlpool washer

I bought a Whirlpool washer at Lowes in August 2022. It has been broken since November 2022 and there is no eta on it being fixed. I have called the seller, Lowes, numerous times and they said they can't do anything and that I should contact Whirlpool. I have had service with the recommended service companies 5 times and they have not fixed it. The parts were slow to ship and the last shipment had a cracked tub! No options for replacement washer still and I have had no washer now for 2 1/2 months.

Whirlpool Rust on upper tray in Kithenaid dishwasher

It's impossible to file a warranty claim with either Whirlpool ( the parent company) or Kitchenaid as there is no way to file a claim.

Any site they offer under the term "Warranty" leads to a dead end - no way to contact them to file a claim. The sites offer service tips, extended warranties, etc., etc., but absolutely no way to file a claim or reach a person.

Several emails to their contact site receives a canned response promising a response which when it arrives days later tells you nothing and refers you to an 800 phone number.

Calling the 800 number brings to a never-ending recorded loop where a woman tells you how to care for products you may or may not own - - no chance to leave a message - another dead end.

The companies seem to have found the perfect way to avoid any warranty claims as most people will simply give up after a time and go away.

Desired outcome: I would like to able to file a warranty claim. Rust is covered under their written warranty for up to 5 years in their dishwashers.

Whirlpool Kitchenaid refrigerator

Bought a $2000 KitchenAid Refrigerator in 2020. It was manufactured without an evaporator drain hose. Slow leak for a couple of years on hardwood floor.
Repaired hardwood floors at our expense around 8K.
Called Whirlpool to just cover the $100 cost of installing the hose by an authorized dealer, and customer service declined it.
Whirlpool/KitchenAid just lost a lifelong customer over $100. Btw, every other appliance in our home is Whirlpool.
Never again will I recommend or buy Whirlpool. Apparently their profit margin is really suffering and the $100 helps them somehow.

Whirlpool Maytag washer model mvw6200kw2 serial cb0604266

I purchased this washer at Lowe's in Jonesboro, AR April 02, 2022
I called in the problem, the washer won't spin the water out of the clothes. Before it started not spinning the water out of the clothes it was really loud and sounded like a train it was so noisy! Strong Arm Appliance has been to my house 3 times this month! The motor, cam, and actual has been replaced and the problem is not resolved. The technician has now ordered a wiring harness and motherboard.

In the meantime, I am having to go to the laundromat and pay $40 a week to do laundry. This is putting a financial burden on our family, plus the time spent on gas to get there and back. I feel like if the harness and motherboard does not fix the problem, Maytag should reimburse us for the washer so I can purchase a new washer. Plus reimburse me for the laundromat!

Whirlpool drain pump for a Kitchenaid dishwasher

My dishwasher is 8 years old and the drain pump is no longer working. I've been told that the part has been "updated"; in other words, the drain pump that they now offer no longer fits my dishwasher, and I've been told the only solution is to buy a new dishwasher.

I can assure you I will never again buy any appliance made by Whirlpool or any of it's associated companies.

Desired outcome: I would like Whirlpool to find me the correct part. The dishwasher model is KDTE 334 DSS 0 and the correct part is W10531320. Note, it is *not* WMW10531320 nor is it W0531320 TY2.

Whirlpool Refrigerator

We started using our brand new refrigerator in April 2022 when we moved into our new home. Model #WRF767SDHZ03 and serial #KBO805775.

The refrigerator worked well until December, when we came back from vacation and found the refrigerator had stopped working. We had to throw away all the food. I immediately contacted whirlpool for a service request and Guinco repairs was our assigned repair company.

On 10th January, the service guy came over and said that the compressor had died. I still cannot comprehend how a new compressor would die that fast.

Guinco then scheduled me for repairs on 24th January. This morning they called to cancel tomorrow's appointment coz they don't have a particular tool for replacing the compressor.

The reason I'm super frustrated is because we hate eating out. We can't cook coz there's no where to store the extra food. My daughter doesn't like school food and she's only surviving on fruits in school. My next appointment is on 1st February and we're not even sure if they'll come on that day or not. This refrigerator has truly caused us pain and loss.

Desired outcome: I need the refrigerator fixed immediately. 1st February is too far out, we've waited for over a month.

Whirlpool Refrigerator

My whirlpool refrigerator is not cooling adequately and food is getting moldy. The temperature will not go below 42 in the bottom shelf and stays higher on the top shelf. The freezer will not freeze to the recommended temperature between 0 F and 30 F. I want a replacement refrigerator sent out. I cannot get an appointment for service from Whirlpool. The store I purchased the unit from can not send anyone out since my refrigerator is under factory warranty. Thank you.

This is terrible customer service.

I have a Whirlpool Refrigerator with the most crazy part, unable to get information how to change it yourself. Its a dome type light NOT a screw it type. Its made so that you need to call a professional service man only. I will never purchase this type of Whirlpool refrigerator ever again.

Model # WRS315SDHZ05. Purchased in 2020. I will continue to LOW grade this type of refrigerator to anyone I come across

I give it a MINUS 1 Rating !

Whirlpool Washing machine

My 3 year old Whirlpool washing machine WFW560CHW just required a $600 repair to the control board. I am 38 weeks pregnant out $600 and didn’t have access to a washing machine for the last 3 weeks as the part had to be shipped in. It’s my first house and my first major purchase was the washer and dryer. I thought they would last way beyond my living in the house, to the next owner. There is no warranty on the washer beyond the standard one year. I would hope whirlpool would make better quality machines or at least make the parts less expensive. The washer is still in production so I don’t think the parts should cost almost half the price of a new machine.

Whirlpool Whirlpool refrigerator

My Whirlpool refrigerator has not been working for 29 days. The service company, Flamingo Factory, was due to repair my refrigerator was scheduled for repairs today. You e-mailed me indicating that my problem was resolved.
The refrigerator was purchased on April 5, 2022 and is covered under a one year warranty
A flamingo representative called me today to inform me that the technician called in sick today and the earliest appointment is on January 27.
I want a full refund from Whirlpool and I will purchase another refrigerator.

My complaint has been marked as resolved. It has not been resolved after 3 visits from Flamingo Appliances Services, the approved Whirlpool service contractor. Yesterday a technician was here and he told me that the wrong part was received. I have had to rent a refrigerator since about the beginning of December and had to throw away a lot of food.

Whirlpool Aqua lift stove

The clean cycle does not work. The oven doesn’t hold the temperature and the oven makes it too hot to cook while it is on. I tried following the directions on cleaning over and over and it never cleans anything but the bottom of the oven. The sides and top never get clean. When I bake the smoke detector goes off making me remove the batteries so I can cook or bake in peace. That is unsafe. I hate everything about this stove. I am a retired person that can’t afford a new stove so I’m stuck with this one. I just hope it doesn’t start a fire while the batteries are out of my smoke detector. I won’t buy a whirlpool anything ever again. My whirlpool fridge is falling apart as well. Whirlpool is an awful company with sue standard appliances.

Desired outcome: I want new appliances that are not from whirlpool so I guess I’m just stuck.

Whirlpool Don't stand behind their product.. sell Junk,,

Retired . disabled Elderly.. purchased a new refrigerator expecting it to be reliable ... so far I have $200 in service fees . only to be told its "NOT" fixable..

Am now up towards $1100 in loss's.. I thought Whirlpool would be a reputable product "leading brand name in appliances" Was I ever wrong.. they wont stand behind their own own products . I would"nt recommend the brand to anyone...

Very dissatisfied..

Whirlpool Refrigerator model WRF757SDHZ03

Purchased a new Whirlpool refrigerator April 2021. Compressor died yesterday, January 2023.

All our food had to be thrown away, at least $600 worth.

Called for service and spoke to April from Ohio. She was rude and could care less that we have to wait till January 18, 2023 for service. She laughed when I asked about an earlier emergency appointment.

Will never buy Whirlpool appliances EVER again.

They could give a [censored] what you need when their crap stops working. Expensive appliances worth the dirt on your shoes.

They care less about their customers.

Desired outcome: Someone to get this fixed sooner than 9 days and my good replaced.

Whirlpool WRT541SZDW Whirlpool Refrigerator - Avoid

Save yourself a lot of pain. DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR!

I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator June 2022. On December 23, 2022, it quit cooling. Currently waiting on parts to fix it but one part back ordered. I've been living out of a cooler since before Christmas. If a large appliance fails within 6 months then it's an inferior product without quality control. Whirlpool is a disgrace.

Because the refrigerator quit cooling, I lost most of the food, especially all the frozen food. The failure of the fridge is 100% Whirlpool's fault. I asked for compensation to replace the food I lost based on receipts, which I believe was fair. They absolutely refuse to compensate me for the spoiled food. This isn't from a natural disaster, this is from an improperly made refrigerator by Whirlpool.

This was the first Whirlpool that I ever bought and will be the last! I plan to replace three large appliances in 2023 and I guarantee that none of them will be a Whirlpool.

Desired outcome: I would like my refrigerator fixed and compensation of the spoiled food based on receipts.

Whirlpool Washing machine

Ordered machine on Oct. 7th from Lowes

o Delivered on Oct. 13th

• Model #: WTW4816FW3

• SER: CB2001072

• Tried machine for the first time when I got down there on 11/6 and the machine did not work (got stuck at the drain cycle/wouldn’t spin and also wouldn’t shut off)

o Called Lowes on 11/7 and they said they couldn’t replace it because it was more than 48 hours from delivery, so they gave me Whirlpool # to call

o Called Whirlpool 11/7 (45+ minutes on hold): they said that because more than 2 weeks had gone by they had to try to repair it first

o Repair request put in and the first appointment was for 11/22

• Field Appliance Tech (Austin) shows up on 11/22 and says that it needs a new control board and knob: puts in the order for the parts and schedules a new appointment for 12/2 (invoice attached)

o I’m told I’ll be called when the part comes in and a confirmation for the appointment- after having not received a call by 11/29 I call whirlpool back and they say they’ll expedite the repair and I’ll hear from their techs within the next day or so- they never call

o I call Field Appliance on 11/30 and they confirm the part is in and the tech will be there on the 12/2 to repair

• Same tech (Austin) comes out on 12/2 and replaces the board and knob and the machine still doesn’t work. Says it needs a new water pump and that will “for sure” fix the issue: puts in the order for the hose and schedules a new appointment for 12/13/2022 (invoice attached)

o I call Field Appliance again on 12/6 and express disappointment that the first “sure to work fix” didn’t and now we’re on the 2nd repair and it’s not working and I’ve been without a machine for 2 months. I ask for an earlier appointment and a more seasoned tech and they put me on a waitlist and say they’ll get me another guy.

• New tech shows up on 12/13 (James) – ½ hour outside of the window by the way (said he was 45 minutes out @ 9:30am and then didn’t show up until 12:23).

o Replaces water pump and that does not fix the issue (tech tells me the water pump wasn’t broken, but he replaced it anyway)

o Says the issue may be the cycle and rotary switches and he’s going to order those and put me down for an appointment on 12/21- says he can’t guarantee that it will work, but he can’t deem the machine unfixable until he goes down an entire list of parts to replace first

o Goes back and checks the machine again and now all of a sudden says it’s working as it’s supposed to and the job is complete

o I ask him to please keep the order in and the appointment for 12/21 because until I do a load of laundry, I am not going to sign off that it’s fixed

o We throw in a load of towels and machine again gets stuck on the drain cycle- it won’t agitate or spin

o I call Field Appliance and say they need to deem the machine broken as the job is not complete

o They said that only the tech can state that so I ask to have the tech call me back so I can speak with him and he can speak with whirlpool

 Agent refuses my request and hangs up

o I call whirlpool (1/2 an hour hold time) and the whirlpool agent gets on with Field Appliance and they tell her that the machine needs other parts and they’ve ordered them and will be out again on the 21st

o I tell her at this point we’ve had 3 visits 3 replacement parts and no success and they’ve left me without a machine for 2+ months- and a new machine should not need this level of repair and I want a replacement

o She tells me that the best they can do is see if the parts/visit on the 21st works and if not then I can call them back again and see if there is another resolution

o I tell her this is not acceptable and I want to speak with a supervisor- she fills out a form and tells me a supervisor will call me back in 2 hours

• Supervisor from Whirlpool finally calls on 12/15 @ 4:20ish and I took him through all of the above and he said we have to follow the warranty process which means that they can come out as many times as necessary to try to fix the issue until they deem it unfixable (he would not/could not give me a timeline or # of visits- basically sounds like this can go on in perpetuity).

• He offered that for the visit on 12/21 that he will request the service company call the Whirlpool tech line while they’re at the house fixing it so they can help the repair service identify the problem and/or deem it unfixable at that time and start the replacement process.

• Field Appliance (James) comes back out again on 12/21 and gets machine partially working, but there is still an issue. Next appointment scheduled for Jan. 4th, but I can’t take the day off work, so now the machine is just sitting, still not working, in my garage with no more repairs scheduled and no resolution from Whirlpool except they will only keep scheduling repair visits and replacing parts until they can get it to work. I cannot keep taking time off work for repair visits and time I don’t have to wash my clothes at a laundromat. I finally broke down and just got another machine (that works from day one, btw) so I just wan

Whirlpool Wall oven

WOS51EC0HS02 My wall oven "control locked swipe up" is on on the screen When I swipe up the screen goes beck to original screen. yes I disconnected the power (3 times) and held every button for 5 seconds. I have over 1.5 hours on the phone with Whirlpool no luck. The dealer could not contact whirlpool either!. The repair tech is not taking calls till Jan 9 then warranty calls first. This $2500 wall oven is just past warranty and to extend it is another 500 dollars. Went through Christmas without a oven. the sticker in the oven says modules made in China and Assembled in Mexico I thought I was buying a American product!

Desired outcome: Desired outcome. I would like a wall oven that works. Service less than a month away . Perhaps even a tech to tell me what to replace and where to buy it ( I have it apart)

Whirlpool Jennair 42 in Builtin Refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator Howards in Long Beach on nine 3022. It was delivered the week before Thanksgiving several days after Thanksgiving I lost all coolness to the refrigerator in the freezer. I have been without a refrigerator since then, I’ve had paradise appliance out twice to no avail of repairing today they were supposed to be back for the third time, and they canceled saying that their technician called in sick. I am very upset at this point about purchasing this refrigerator I would like to speak to someone about it.

I am not happy with Howards where I purchased the Jennair Refrigerator . The delivery was not smooth. It took three attempts so I don’t know what happened to this refrigerator when it was going back-and-forth three times. I am not happy. I would like to get this resolved ASAP. I’ve had service calls twice if not completed anything I am ready to just get a new refrigerator if they can’t get someone out here ASAP to get it fixed.

Whirlpool Whirlpool appliance delivery

I placed an order in November, 2022 with an estimated delivery date of December 3rd. No one showed up on 12/3 and did not get a call or email from Whirlpool. Customer called and was rescheduled by Whirlpool for 12/16/22 but again no one showed up, and no call or email from Whirlpool. Customer called and was rescheduled again for 1/3/23 and again no one showed up, and again no call or email from Whirlpool. Customer called and was again rescheduled for 1/17/23. This is the worst customer service I have seen in a long time. Absolutely horrible. I am so thoroughly frustrated and the customer service reps act like we should just accept it as normal. They say the delivery dates are "estimated" and cannot guarantee them. That is completely unacceptable when people like me have to take off work to stay home and wait for them. If they schedule a date to deliver and install, then they should either honor that date and time window or not schedule for that date if they can't make it.

Desired outcome: I want a guaranteed date of when they are going to deliver and install the unit. I do not want to keep waiting around for deliveries that never show up. At this point they should be giving me the unit for free.

Whirlpool Refrigerator

Puschased refrigerator oct 25 2022 at menards oct 25 2022 it stopped working dec 24 2022. I contacted menards on the 26th of dec they referred me to whirlpool. Whirlpool senr repairman on dec28 th. He said compressor had went bad but did not fix it said had to order part and there was a back log so didnt know when he would get it in. I called whirlpool back and ask them to expedite the part or jus give me another refirgerator was informed they had to wait 21 days for reair to get part and then they would try get p;art

Whirlpool Warranty repair/replacement

purchased a new home on 11-29-2021 that had whirlpool appliances. The refrigerator stopped working in the first 3 months. Contacted whirlpool and they sent repair personnel out 5 times attempting to fix with no success. this went on for nine months. they finally have agreed to replace the refrigerator. Been waiting several weeks for a new refrigerator to come in. the representative said the refrigerator was in and would be contacting shortly. Two weeks later still no refrigerator. attempted to contact whirlpool representative thru email and phone messages and she will not respond. Will be purchasing a new refrigerator before the holidays and will be looking at all administrative remedies to recover losses.

Whirlpool manufacture Defective Appliance

Hurricane Ian Victim

September 28, 2022

*Approximately one hour wait on hold before speaking with the warranty Whirlpool Rep.

*If accessible, I will attach videos, service ticket, and whirlpools unacceptable response.

I am a Hurricane Ian flood victim who had lost my home, all my contents, and everything I own inside. My home had to be gutted due to flooding and I had to discard everything, to include my kitchen cabinets, kitchen appliances, bathrooms, furnishings, clothing, bedroom sets, memories, both automobiles, and much more. My loving parents also live with me, and they lost all their precious memories and personal belongings as well. I then had to watch FEMA assistance garbage removal take my entire life’s work and load them into a dumpster for destruction.

While sorting out in my brain and trying to make sense of what just happened, I then needed to coordinate a multitude of projects simultaneously. Words cannot express the volume of attention and work that is actively happening every day following the Hurricane, to gain a sense of normalcy. This narrative is not one of those things I want to be doing amongst all this chaos.

To all my fellow friends viewing this and dealing with similar issues.

Here is the short list to a very long list of other things.

1. Apply for FEMA and completed copious amounts of supporting documents

2. Apply for SBA and completed copious amount of supporting documents

3. Coordinating securing transportation daily

4. Trying to find a vehicle in an over inflated unaffordable market

5. Coordinating alternative housing

6. Speaking with adjusters and providing supporting documents and photos

7. Speaking and coordinating with many different contractors to line up estimates for every part of my destroyed home.

8. Working around the clock to try and remediate the home to prevent further mold damage.

9. Composing this much needed letter for my fellow Americans to view, which I have limited to no time left in a 24 hour period to sleep. But then again can’t sleep due to unnecessary problems being piled on the list. (AKA. Refrigerator)

The list continues but I will get to the point of Whirlpools lack of honoring their warranty and standing by their products. I will attach the service technicians notes/report to support my concerns/ narrative.

After Hurricane Ian, I purchased and currently own a Whirlpool side-by-side Refrigerator/Freezer that is approximately four months old. The refrigerator makes several different loud noises and runs extremely loud. This Whirlpool refrigerator is the first and only appliance to date I was able to purchase following the Hurricane.

I did an online request for a service tech to diagnosis the refrigerator. The techs report reads as follows:

Technician's Notes Begin:

Checked refrigerator for noise. Upon arriving, I found refrigerator making a loud vibration noise. Customer also has several video recordings showing different noises it makes. Compressor is giving off a loud buzzing sound and the cabinet is vibrating louder than normal. The unit is also making popping noises. The vibration noise is the cardboard plate underneath the refrigerator that acts as an airflow guide. This is vibrating against the metal frame. Tried to cushion this and re-position it. Still making a loud vibration sound. Tech support states I cannot remove this piece. They recommended taping it down. You cannot gain proper access to do this without removing the compressor or tipping the unit on its back. Popping noises seem to be the refrigerant being compressed and pushed through the system. This is something I have seen and heard more with R600s. This does not appear to be a noise I can eliminate or prevent. Even by replacing the compressor and recharging the system, it may still make a popping sound. Advised the customer of this. Unit is making more noise than any other unit I have seen. Not sure any part replacement will make a difference. Advised customer to try and reach out to WHIRLPOOL customer service.

Technician's Notes END:

Following this diagnosis, I was advised by the tech to follow up with Whirlpool. Upon speaking with representative Felisha, I advised her of my circumstance regarding that this is the first appliance I had purchased after falling victim to hurricane Ian and explained very kindly that the unit sounds like a semi-truck running in the kitchen. I kindly asked and requested that Whirlpool exchange the refrigerator or provide a credit towards another unit.

Felisha referred to the service techs report and advised there is nothing Whirlpool can do about this because the warranty does not cover loud noises. She blamed the faulty refrigerator on the service tech for not properly doing his job, rather than doing what was right.

She advised that the service tech should have removed the compressor to tape down a piece of cardboard to stop one of the three different noises from occurring. I wanted her to reflect on the Techs report to see that this was a muti-noise issue dealing with different parts of the refrigerator, as described in the techs report and the videos taken by the tech.

I explained to her that there is a level of reasonableness for how loud a normal operating refrigerator should sound. I also discussed that even the service technician’s findings reflected the same conclusion. (Technicians Notes) Unit is making more noise than any other unit I have seen.

I kindly requested several times that Felisha allow me to speak with her supervisor. She declined for me to speak with anyone else and advised that she was the only department that would handle this complaint and that there was no supervisor above her to speak to. She would not even allow me to speak with another colleague in her department for a second opinion or another set of eyes to examine my case.

I found this false and untrue, and I knew after pleading for help, that she was uninterested and not going to assist at all. Her annoyance with my refrigerator issue was apparent in her responses. There was no sense of understanding or compassion.

She was speaking to me like a child that was not listening to her directions, and it was obvious that I was frustrating her day.

I’m sure she will be going home to her nice cozy home with a perfectly operating refrigerator and collecting that check every two weeks with Christmas bonus from Whirlpool for not approving another claim.

All my appliances that were damaged in Hurricane Ian were Samsung. They have all lasted nearly 8 years with no issues besides a problem with the dishwasher. When I contacted Samsung regarding the dishwasher, I did not have a long-extended wait on hold, and they stood by their appliance. Samsung’s Customer service was outstanding.

Again, as a refrigerator owner for my entire life, and like most other families in the United States, there is a level of reasonableness for how loud a normal operating refrigerator should sound.

When I asked Felisha from Whirlpool if my only solution was to live with the refrigerator sounding like a tractor trailer throughout my home, she advised there is nothing that Whirlpool can do to resolve the problem and I would have to live with the loud noisy appliance.

I attempted to post this same information on Whirlpools automated review site that was emailed to me but the system failed to upload my 1 star review after several attempts. I believe this had something to do with the poor rating/reviews I was providing. However, this is an answer we will never know.

Desired outcome: Replace product or credit to Lowes for comparable model refrigerator. Lowes will stand along side their customers.
