Wendy’s unethical behaviour

I worked for the wendy's Bettendorf Iowa location enough to know they do not respect new employees at all! Here's one example: When i was short 8 hours on one check, I brought this to the store managers attation and was told rather rudely she would see what she would do. Does that sound like professional behavior? I think not. #2 example being berated in frout of other employees and possibly customers... I think not! And one shift manager was definitely disrespectful to me in general. They claim they respect employees, That is a faleshood! That is why i quit working there becaues i could not work in such a hostle work place!

Wendy’s food

Every time I eat at Wendy's it always results in the diarrhea.. Every time!
I love the food and service there but whatever it is just does not agree with my stomach.. Usually I order a burger, fries, and pop- I know the pop wouldn't be the reason or the fries.. So maybe an ingredient in the burgers? I had a chicken wrap once and I didn't get sick at all from that, so I'm assuming it is the burgers.

Wendy’s service and food

Went through the drive thru, young girl order taker was rude, i ordered a #3 triple for my son with only ketchup, lettuce tomato and pickles. He cant eat mustard! This girl repeated it back to me so yes you knew what i wanted. Get to the window to pay, cashier snatches $ and doesn't say a word, get to window 2 wait there a while, window opened food is handed out the window and window slammed, nothing not one word. I should have checked then. Stupid me! Get food home and of course theirs so much mustard on the burger that it is dripping off the paper and no ketchup so there went the 10.00 over priced burger into the trash! Wait where are the straws and napkins? Or do we have to request those as well? Fries were cold... Sadly this is exactly what we have come to expect from this location, and you want $15.00 per hr... Smh!

Wendy’s the short female employee at the drive thru

Wendys store # 117. Gulf breeze florida

I visited this wendy's on june 8th. It was awful. We ordered a number 3 and requested to add a large chili... We were told they do not make a large chili (It's on the dang menu board). We ordered a large sweet tea, and a medium sweet tea. After receiving our food at the drive thru, we said to heck with it.. As I had already waited 20 minutes for our food. However, we pulled out, took a sip of our team and it was unsweetened and nasty spoiled tasting. We drove back to change our drinks to coke, and the really short girl there rolled her eyes several times, she then gave us 2 small cokes (Was to be large and medium) since we only have 2 drink holders, I asked her if she could take the nasty teas back and discard. She said she wasn't allowed to throw them away. I mean, seriously?!? I even heard her being rude to other employees and customers as I waited. Awful service! Then... We got back to our destination, only to find that they got all our food order wrong. I was visiting for vacation... But I feel sorry for the locals that have to eat at this wendy's. I cannot stand for anyone to roll their eyes at me, or lie to me. This is the most ignorant, disrespectful employee I have ever came across at any restaurant.

To karenEA..did you not read my complaint? Obviously not. It was as the drive thru and I had already paid for my food and got about 3 miles down the road. I traveled back to Wendy's to have my order fixed. I wasn't going to just waste the $20 I spent on wendys and :take my business somewhere else". Now, had they gave me my money back, I woukd have gladly just went elsewhere. Also, you obviously didn't read .. My family and I were on vacation...I don't thing driving 400 miles back home to "cook at home" was fiesable. Next time, read the whole book before you write the book report.

Wendy’s employee not being treated right

I just started working at Wendy's and at first everything was ok I was working for another store until the new one that I applied for opened up I was getting hours at the old store but as soon as the new store opened I realized how rude the store manager is and how bad she treats her employees she yelled to her employees and said she don't want no one coming to her about there hours because they are going to get the hours she give and also included no one will get any overtime so don't come to her about any of that like the next week I noticed she start cutting my days it started with just 3 days a week I wanted more but I was ok with that but then the week after that she cut it down to one day a week not to mention she only let me work four hours a day so for 2 weeks in getting two day and all together its 8 hours for two weeks I find that horrible for a manager to treat her employees this way for no reason because I'm a great worker and never complains about anything I'm just there to work but I'm not sure what to do about this because I want too work and don't want to quit but it seems like the manger just wants me too. Manager name is Shannon Conway at the Patterson avenue location off of Reisterstown road in Baltimore Maryland

Hello my name is Kristen Barnhart, an ex crew member of Wendy's at 3536 Country Club DR Jefferson City, MO. I been worked there for a year now as crew member. We were ranked the best Wendy's in MO but I don't recall that bull. Anyways, I doesn't like that place at all anymore at ALL! Too much of stress and drama that I don't have a time for that. Well I used to liked there cause I thought it was a right fit for me and my schedule were too good not had a problem with it. Until somehow in summer in middle of July, some of employees suddenly quitting there that made us short staffed and I were scheduled all almost everyday but BARELY even get a Wednesday day off, I was like "Really that only one day off on Wednesday" Oh well and worked for 4 HOURS on per of shift! No break for me, had to clean all crappy ### before I can LEAVE! which made me felt like I'm treated being a TRASH! And my last time worked there on October 15th 2016 before I walked out of there cause I were so mad cause after I saw my schedule. There's same same same nothing changed at all. I got a Wednesday off which it's pisses me off that they won't give me some of days off so I can have my own time off. It's been over 3 months in rows for having day off on Wednesday that why I walked out there and never show up on my scheduled shift at all. I actually QUIT FOR GOOD! Screw them! I hope they will be short staffed that time soon! GOOD BYE LOSER WENDY'S you are nothing good to me anymore, not worth it working there again!

I agree with you about the way they treat employees and am not surprised by the other things as well! Of course i worked at another wendys in Bettendorf iowa but, they treated me bad too... so i quit because no one should be treated that way!

Wendy’s drive thru

I am a regular at the wendi's drive thru, since their beginning... However, when did wendy's old fashioned hamburgers started serving cheeseburgers regardless of what a customer ordered! Hello... It's says on your signs..."wendi's old fashioned hamburgers"!
I can't tell you how many times from the sullivant avenue, columbus, oh drive thru that I have threatened to return the cheeseburger in the bag. Knowingly that I specially state more than one time no cheese.. Absolutely insights a riot in me.!
Today was the last straw... I specially asked for no cheese! The guy at the window was very polite. Told me to have a nice day. I pulled away from the window and opened my hamburger... Yep you guessed it.. It not old had one slice of cheese.. But one slice on top and bottom!
Seriously. I would say that was intentional!
I don't know why I would expect anything different from this drive thru, but this has happened to me at other wendy's old fashioned hamburger drive thru also. But this drive thru happens to be closest to my house.
Is it that the people that are behind the counter can't understand english.. Or do they do this intentionally. After all, they are cutting into their profits by placing a piece of cheese on a hamburger.. When the customer requests to have it their way! (I do believe one of your commercials did state that)
So my advice to wendi's old fashioned hamburger corporate office.. Is to say that not all americans eat cheese on their hamburgers.. That's why they are called "hamburgers".
So disgusted with your company and it's customer service

Wendy’s payment not received

I, Tiereny Duff, would like to make a complaint about my employer, Wendys of Tupelo, Ms South Gloster St., not paying on time. I been working at wendys going on a month now. I was supposed to have already received my first paycheck by now. I started there around March 19th or the 20th 2016, and may I add that, in the process of me becoming a team member, of getting hired on the spot, I was told of how every job title within the restaurant was important to learn, I was notified of dress code, safety rules, and what is expected for every team member at Wendys to know and how to do. Then I was told about payroll. This is the reason for my complaint. During the periods of me working from start date till now, April 7, 2016, I have been getting the run arounds about my pay. We are required to have direct deposit and at the time I was supposed to receive my pay card my employer was supposed to handle whatever needed to be done so I would be able to receive my paycheck on my card but he, the general manager, went on vacation while he was supposed to be getting pay role right to get my money deposited to the card they gave me to receive my money every payday. But the only thing I been doing is getting behind on personal business. I was told on payday, April 1, 2016, that my money should be on my card by Monday, April 4, 2016, when the general manager return on that date. So I waiting till then and still another problem. The general manager haven't sent my information to the bank my pay card is associated with. So he had claimed he would fix it for me, then I was told my money should be on my card on Wed, April 6, 2016, but still nothing. So I contacted the general manager and also went to Wendys while he was there to see about my money not getting on my pay card. Again, I was told that he would get a hold of the accountant for Wendys to fix this problem again and that he will give me a call back letting me the solution to the problem. Later I did receive a call back from my general manger that same day that everything should be fixed and that my money should be on my card Thursday, April 7, 2016. But, still nothing. So I called him to see was at Wendys and he was, so I went there, to Wendys, to inform him of me not receiving my money on my pay card that he had issued me to get paid. He responded that he just talked to the accountant and he said, she said that she just fixed it again cause messed my pay role up that it will be another 24 hours before I should receive anything, which I thought was very unprofessional. then I asked about could I get a written check or borrow money to help me handle some bills I am late on paying because of me not receiving my money because of their mistakes about me getting paid and responded that he could not help me, that I would have to wait till Friday, April 8, 2016. I feel like I have not been treated equal by my employer and now im tryring to see what can be done.Thanks for listening.

Wendy’s sexism employment

I believe that the GM has taught the management staff to treat the men differently because I have herd references towards this idea without them saying it directly. They believe the men have do all of the labor and saying it is on the grill person. When girls get on the grill they can even get 2oz and 4oz selves themselves. I felt like I was not being treated fairly. The women out weighted the men. My issues Management did not care about but the girls problem or issues they always showed concern. The women would not do any lifting through out the course of the day. There were a few who were not physical able but there were more that enough people to carry the work. purposely put women on a station like register so they would not have to do anything. they were softer with the girls than the men. if they didn't like a female employees work they would talk behind her back and make jokes. a male employee would not get the same treatment; they would yell, scream, fuss and do all they can to let him know he was wrong even if they was no mistake made. I can't ask another employee anything but the management staff was making it a requirement for me to follow instructions of other employees. I would get chastised for not getting lemonade when there where 3 or employees qualified to get it but they act like I am the only one qualified. there where times where employees got food products on there own but ask me to prepare them for them like they are not qualified to do so. Management acts like the other crew members who are most female do not need to learn or be taught. Management acts like they are not physically able to prepare items. Everybody is hostile towards me for some reason. the Management staff will allow people to curse me. When I defend myself verbally, I get a hostile reaction from "The Management Staff". I did not feel safe coming and working with certain people because they would have nothing good and would come at me with a attitude.

Wendy’s was assaulted by a shift manager

I was pushed with full force an chest bumped as the kids say. I was at the company Wendy's in green tree on Cochran run rd., very hostile work environment I went to ask the shift manager who was in the office texting I had asked him who was on grill he didn't respond to me an the gm was on an orientation at the time, so I'm in the office telling him can someone get on grill I need meat at the time I was doing making sandwiches an dropping fries and nuggets because no one was doing their position after I told him no ones on grill he told me to drop the meat I said my position to him he said an I'm sorry but his exact words go drop the meat your fking self i thought he was joking until i said that's not my position so he said to me make it your position that's your issue get out my fking office so I say can i have cooperates number he started yelling at me an pushing me I started crying because I don't bother any one so i screamed help an he says to me your black ### wont get no justice for this because we have no cameras in the office so I called the police an pressed charges. had a meeting few days after an the dm an her boss were interrogating me an told me i was fired because I'm pressing charges. very rude people, was only at the company for 4days, just said you cant be at work safe, who would think a manager would assault you. please contact me back on my email.

Wendy’s my general manager/favortisim

12/24/2015 - My Job has been a total pain in my butt since a certain someone returned back to Wendy's from being fired for stealing. Every since then some people have been getting treated a little unfairly due to the two people she treats like gold.! Its unexceptionable in a work environment because its hard to maintain a job when your treating it like and outside friend environment instead of an actual work place environment. Thursday 12-24-2015 I got volunteered to work until close which was like at 7 pm, two or three hours after my normal shift but its the fact that I didn't ask to neither did I get asked if I wanted to, its the fact that when we got slow and had been slow since I clocked in I asked to leave at my normal time which was 5 pm I was told no and that if I leave ill be suspended for a whole week. But in return she let the two main people that she treats like gold who asked to stay and close go home around 330 that same day. So its a favoritism issue when it hasn't been like that. 12-26-2015 I texted my General Manager as well as another Manager and also left a note in the office to let or ask them if it would be possible for me to leave around 2:00 pm or before 2:30 pm so I could come back 45 minutes away to pick up my cousins so they could make the bus stop in Texarkana before 3:30 pm, I asked several times after drive thru slowed down and it was clear, the general manager kept ignoring me, it took another manager to ask her for her to say no so in regards I had to drive way to Irving Texas to take them home after I got off of work at 5 pm. I got stuck due to a tornado that occurred last night. 12-27-2015 I had a manager text me as well as call me asking if I was coming to work (I never work Sundays NEVER) I have a set schedule of Monday - Saturday 11 am - 5 pm, She said I was put on the schedule from 10:30 - 5 pm and I told her I wasn't informed of that, No I don't check the schedule for the simple fact I have a set schedule Monday - Saturday regardless if we was off Christmas day I wasn't informed that I had to work that Sunday so now I'm suspended for a whole week because she chooses to act different towards me. I find it difficult to believe because in the whole year I've almost been there I never been late, always come dressed in my full uniform, I do my job and others if I did miss a day it was once or twice or even the week I had carpel tunnel surgery on my right hand I still came back to work when in return I was suppose to be off for a whole month... I run circles around half the people she has in there. Sometimes I'm stuck doing maybe 3 jobs at one time. Making sandwiches, dropping/Preparing Fries as well as Bagging food. And I get suspended because I wasn't informed I had to work Sunday due to my SET schedule as well as being stuck in Texas due to a tornado that actually touched down and destroyed some properties.

Wendy’s racially profiling before hiring

I came to wendys for my interview today on time and their was a girl who came ten minutes late, however she got her interview done before me by a manger who kept looking at me in a bad way. That manger took a lot of notes and told the girl to start as soon as possible. Then a different manager came to interview me and took down no notes what so ever. She went inside to ask the other manager about me getting hired and when she came out she said sorry all the positions are filled and then I left. The add is still up on the wendys resturant to hire more workers. The manager did not like me because I had a turban and I was of a different race and ethnicity. I have sent out a email to head office and they are yet to give me a reply

Wendy’s manager disrespect my brother

Hi, My name is Mycline Estime. My brother starting to work there for about three weeks. Last wednesday which was Novemeber 5th, the ladies bathroom got duty and the manager ask a coworker to go clean he/ she refused and asked me as a man to go clean the lady's bathroom i refused. Wendy’s poor customer service!

I recently went to a Wendy's near my home and was very unimpressed with the service from the drive thru order taker/ cashmere... First we pulled up to the speaker and received a very impolite monotone "Can I take your order"... No " Welcome to Wendy's may I take your order?" With a cheery voice but the voice of a woman sounding very annoyed at our presence like "Omg go home ppl " kind of voice...Secondly we pulled up to the window where the woman named "Angela" by the way didn't utter one word to us ! WTF! I have worked in Fast Food and as I remember your supposed to greet a customer.. she didn't make eye contact or utter one single hello or thank you... this didn't make my day at all... I mean if you are in a customer service job your supposed to be polite and greet a customer with a smile... this woman should not be working there if she can't talk to a customer... we were polite and said hello and thank you and she couldn't say it back?!?! Get a new job if you are that miserable!

Wendy’s manager is very unprofessional

I work at Wendy's & my manager Joe is very rude & un fair to me.. He has embarrassed in front of my crew & customer's more then once. He is also rude to customera ... A lot of crew complain about him but I guess maybe their scared to lose their job. He throws dirty mop water on the floor in the kitchen when we are suppose to be keeping our floors clean.. He makes me so uncomfortable that I get so nervous when I know I have to work with I get so physically sick.

Wendy’s wendy's inspector

A Wendy's inspector came last week for our inspection. He sat in the parking lot for maybe 10 minutes before he came through the drive thru. We all knew it was him when he ordered. I was at the first window to collect the payment. He handed me his card, never once looking at me. When I handed his card back, he immediately drove away as I was saying "thank you, have a good day". Again never looking at me. He then came in, started yelling at us in front of employees and customers when he could have easily told us without embarrassing us. He later said that I didn't tell him to have a nice day when I collected his payment. REALLY! If he wasn't so busy being rude, he would have heard me.

I understand he isn't there to make friends, but he could at least be civil to us little people who actually work their butts off. I really thought more of Wendy's as a company, was I wrong? Joan Hein

Wendy’s bugs, acrylic nails, metal pieces

Owner: rob o. Needs to be investigated. This guy owns several Wendy's in this area and is a very unempathetic person. Doesn't offer apologies or takes ownership for the issue at his establishments...last year we found a piece of metal in our meat this year after deciding to give them another chance we found a BUG! Curious to know if we were the only ones we researched the Internet to and found our experience to be like others...who have found acrylic nails, paper, bugs, etc.. do your research and think X2 about eating at a Wendy's owned by this guy!

Wendy’s service

They managers are rude and disrespectful. They messed up my order twice and when I tried to tell them the one of the workers gave me attitude and told me to speak to the manager. When I tried to explain, the manager gave me a nasty look and told me if I don't like the food go next door to McDonald's. Remind you I didn't say I didn't like the food there certain thing I can't eat because I'm allergic to them. They had me wait until there where no more customers on line to get a refund and the workers were very immature. I will not show my face there anymore.

Wendy’s raw hamburger

Have gone through the drive thru on many occasions and staff never friendly. This time ordered a Double cheese burger and when I got home the meat was RAW in several places throughout the hamburger. Called back to the restaurant requesting to speak with a manager. Was told the person answering the phone was the manager and he offered no help or apology. This is just unacceptable and downright dangerous!

Wendy’s prejudice and bias

I just tried to transfer to another wendy's but a different corp. Because it was a hire pay at their store. So i went thru the whole process again of filling out another application and doing the interview and i was guaranteed the position that means i'm hired, right? So he called my old store to get the "okay" which it was given to him. So we both agreed that i should put my 2 weeks in so it didn't look bad on me just to quit which i did give them a notice. . . I put my 2 weeks notice in so now the assistant manager jordan is all of a sudden being rude to me again when we both squashed the last situation from her being disrespectful to me and i had to tell her abt herself but anyways so i come into work on tuesday to finish out my last week and i seen another employee upset so i start talking to her to calm her down & now the assistant manager jordan seen me doing this so she walks in between us as i'm talking to the young lady then come back over there once again so i told her "you can go passed us and please say excuse me next time". . . So she tells me "that i can leave her store. . . " i'm like "for what i didn't disrespect you nor did i curse at you and i'm not leaving cause i didn't do anything wrong" so yes she called the police on me. . . & yes i did get mad when she did that but as i'm leaving the store she gets in my face talking mess and yes i did snap out because for one i haven't done anything in the first place and now you are in my face? Yes yes yes she was really asking for a butt whooping but i'm like "jesus take the wheel now lord, because she ain't even reeeaaady" so i did snap out a little because i really felt disrespected but anyways i went outside the cops came and actually he was really really respectful & i gave him 2 thumbs up for that, yes i did. . . But any who, so i left the store and called the other wendy's i was supposedly hired at and told them i can come in to their store now and he was like okay that's good. . . So i been calling & calling & calling them like: we was husband & wife i'm checking on his whereabouts, yes i stayed constantly calling like the thirst was real and i need this job. . . So i finally got ahold to him tuesday and he told me to come in thursday at 5 (Which is today 03 / 26 / 2015) i came in and he wasn't there for starters so the assistant manager called him and he said he forgot about me. So i agreed to go home and come on friday so as i'm leaving here goes the "dm" of that wendys so we were introduced and he said didn't you get terminated at the other wendy's? I'm like what? No i been put in my 2 weeks noticed and he already got the okay from my old manager over there then he said i'll have to see about that tomorrow. . . I'm like what do that have to do with me? To my knowledge i was already given the position 2 1 / 2 weeks ago. . . So how can y'all say this when he been called & got the okay, let me put my 2 weeks in over there and went thru all of this prejudice crap over there?. . & to find out i was terminated for no proper cause over at my old store, what e u serious? What's crazy is how can they terminate me at the urbandale, ia location knowing i been let them know abt me leaving to go to a different location and to feel like she actually plotted for this to happen, & for the assistant manager jordan i got into it with showed another employee (At the time and who just turned 18 in december) showed her a picture of her ve_jay_jay (Virgina) being pierced and they didn't fire her for that when the whole store including the district manager knows about it and she gets off with a warning, & for another assistant manager to ask the manager that hired me, why did she hire a black lady, what? And she still has her job too. . . Seriously, what type of prejudice crap are they trying pull over here? *in my thoughts. . . Smh. . . The disrespect is real out here!

Wendy’s pay=manager's attraction

I've been working at Wendy's for years! Almost for 5-7 years and my pay is still $7.40.

But this new guy comes in a month ago and his pay is automatically set at $7.75 an hour!

$7.75!
