Wells Fargo out of control thieves

Wells fargo recently sent us a check for 4 months mortgage payments that we made on time and over the required payment amount... along with a foreclosure notice!
This company is out of control!
Then yesterday we get this letter from a place called hope that says they are an organization who helps people who cant pay their mortgage... and wells fargo is one of the banks who are in their program.
First of all, we werent behind on our payments, and secondly, wells fargo has no business saying they are part of an organization who cares about people... they are clueless, and their actions are nothing short of terrorizing people who they think cannot afford to fight them.
I am going to email the white house every day until they finally get these banks, who were bailed out with our money, to stop cheating people while they are living high on the money that was suppose to be helping us their customers! anyone with a complaint... please join me in an email fight against wells fargo... email the white house every day!

Wells Fargo is big and out of control, they claim they have $165, 000, 000, 000 yes billion in assets. You can't ever get any thing settled with them. I've been that route twice. They lie, they make agreements and don't follow through. I have a Law suit with them now. I think one day they will go broke, their assets are falling like a hale storm.

Wells-Fargo has no intention of ever helping anyone. They gave me the same runaround with the modification program. Different people give different answers for questions, they claim they never received docs, etc. My feeling now is "If you want my house so badly, you can have it!" I think everyone with a Wells-Fargo mortgage should just stop paying. Let them have a house worth 40, 000 less than you owe!

My complaint with Wells Fargo is that they are out and out liars. We sent them everything needed to see if our home loan could be modified and we even sent it from a lawyer's office. WF turned around and claimed we never sent the papers and filed foreclosure on our home. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we sent everything that was needed and sent it all on time. Wells Fargo is lying and getting away with it. When is someone going to stop this from happening?

They are criminals.

that is the most infuriating part of this whole thing...no one can give us a reason for the foreclosure...one lady said we didnt sign a paper we sent then another said oh yes we have it, yet another person offered to "help" us but said that to do so we would have to pay their lawyers fees...we are obtaining a lawyer to press charges and have contacted our State Senator and the White house.
your question is a legitimate question and one that several people asked when they heard the sitution...but we were not behind on our payments...they SENT OUR PAYMENTS BACK and put us into foreclosure.
they are criminals and they are out of control...this website has one story after another exactly like ours...sometimes worse, and this is just one of thousands of websites. All across America people are being blatantly lied to, cheated and stolen from by Wells Fargo, and I for one am not going to take it.

Wells Fargo avoid like a plague

In 2017 my wife went to the Eye Guys for Lasix Surgery to correct her vision problem. Financing was available for the surgery. It was provided through Well Fargo Financial. The plan was supposed to be free of any finance charges. Which is why we signed up for it. It would appear now that Wells Fargo designed the plan to make sure the principal would not be covered within the 2yr re-payment period. Resulting in our being hit with $956.00 in finance charges.

Which we were advised of when we received this months statement. Needless to say we are Irate and spoke to their customer service 800 number. They told us we should have been reading the fine print. The best they would do is cut the finance charge in half provide we paid the full amount of $1202.00 immediately. This conversation took place on August 15, 2017 the supposed end of the interest free period was August 7th. Since we NEVER missed a payment and had we known, would have gladly paid off the $700 balance rather then pay an additional $956 in unwarranted finance charges. Please take not that it was Wells Fargo who SET UP THE PAYMENTS.

I have been fighting with American's Servicing Company for almost a year now, I got behind on my house payment after helping out a family member who had lost her job and was about to lose her home. I wanted to help thinking I had the extra money, I guess I didn't. Than I needed to help my parents. But dealing with ASC was a nightmare always having to deal with someone else when you called them, I must of dealt with 10 different people each one telling me something different each time. One women basically told me I was going to lose my home, if she didn't receive cashiers check by 5/26/08 in the amount of $2, 239.00 she would foreclose on my home. I sent it by UPS it got to her on 5/24/08 and wasn't applied to my account until 5/28/08. I've had to file for Bankruptcy, I've had to fill out 4 Loan Modification applications. ASC/Wells Fargo was the only creditor who filed a Relief Automatic Stay, the judge ruled in their favor because to some law and his hands were tied, but in his judgement stated that ASC/Wells Fargo was to work with me on and give me or my attorney information on a potential Forbearance Agreement, Loan Modification, Refinance Agreement or other Loan Workout/Loss Mitigation Agreement. Well that never happen my attorney called nothing... On my last Loan Modification application I filled out on 04/16/2017 and faxed to Wells Fargo I did hear anything until some Realtor start taping notices on my front door 'Cash for Keys' I let her have it, than had to make nice when my BK attorney found out that my home was sold without no notice to me, nothing post on my door in the paper, and was sold back to Wells Fargo for the amount I stated my home was worth on my 04/16/09 Loan Modification applciation. I have now had to look for a Real Estate Attorney, which I was finally able to find last week and just spoke with him today. Are Mortgage Companies Above the Law are they able to do what they want, they have made me feel like a loser and that I have to explain my whole life story, and they don't have to do anything.

Wells Fargo Financial sent advertisements around to different schools to solicit students to apply for a student loan with them. The insisted that they have a co-signer to get the loans they applied for. Without the co-signer, they would not get the loan. I co-signed for my nephew and when he graduated he had to pay the loan. The amount was very high, and his plans were to go to Dental school after a year. He called them and they suggested that he consolidate the loan for a lower amount. Once he did that, he paid on the loan monthly. He was told recently that he can not get a forebearance on the loan now that he is in Dental school, but must continue to pay close to $300.00 a month. He obviously doesn't have the money, but Wells Fargo set these loans up knowing full well the students would not be able to pay. They enticed the co-signers (such as myself..with good credit) to sign on these loans because we were told if the student made consecutive payments for 24 payments, we would no longer have responsibility for the loan. This was the only reason I signed. Now they are telling me, he not only has to pay this while he is in Dental school, but I will be in default if he doesn't pay and they WILL come after me. This is very misleading and there are many others that they got with this. My nephew said these loan applications were all over his school.

I called to ask about the late fee on my bill. I have automatic bill pay, so there should never be a late fee -- unless they changed due dates without notifying me.
I called "customer service." When the guy refused to reverse the late fee, I asked to speak to a manager. I got a voice mail system.
I called back and got another rep. Told him I got a voice mail.
He said it was their policy to send callers to a voice mail system if they asked for a supervisor.
This is intentional business misconduct, and they're seemingly proud of this "system."

I've been having a lot of problems making my mortgage payments and I called in to ask for help. I asked for Matt, the branch manager and when I walked in he was sitting on top of the desk. He never moved off of his place to greet me or anything. He told me to fill an application. I filled it out and he ran my credit report. HE NEVER HELPED ME AT ALL.
I've been trying to get the branch district manager's number and I'm still not able to get it. Now I know how banks go out of business. Because of customer service employees with no experience at all. Isn't the customer always right?

While trying to make affordable arrangements with the company's representatives, explaining lack of employment and vastly reduced income prior to major job loss, the representatives start telling the consumer that 'you are electing to not make any payments' and 'ignoring the bill totally' all while still trying to explain the personal hardship of having to work part-time jobs with just over minimum waged income for one, and the other job being of commission based income (in the sad world of automobile repair) to which he replies, 'Then you are making way more money than I am so you need to set up a over-the phone payment right now'. When I said to him that I am tired of him making assumptions and telling me how my life is, I demanded another rep to talk to. Then an 'upper' representative gets on and she talks big tough that 'if you think the first representative was giving you a hard time, I will push your account to the next step by verifying your employment, which we have many ways and websites to do this with and we will set up a garnish on your income unless you make arrangements to make payments right now' (good guy/bad guy routine). I explained that the payments I can only afford at the present employment/income would be 'X' amount, to which the upper rep says, 'That is totally laughable!', and hangs up! A nice way to be condescended, belittled and embarrassed because of situations that are in no ones control. You try to work with a financial instution and you get treated less than a third world individual. Does it ever pay to be up-front and honest? Not with these miserable individuals named Ni** and Je******. Perhaps their income is a commissioned and incentives driven one by means and ways of whom they can scare and make people submit to payments that they can not at this particular time afford. No matter how much you try to explain to have them understand, they are only there to put you in a dead-beat position and make you feel totally shamed because of it. I did offer to trade places with the first rep so he could see how it felt to be in a very comprimised position and that I would call him and harass him like he was doing to me, and I am sure countless other people suffering job problems, however I guess his stuttering and subject change to get another representative and put me on hold to tell his version of the phone conversation to the female toughy was his way of saying no. As anti-Christian as this comment may be, perhaps what goes aroung comes around and they too, may walk the path some day.

Mister Quik submitted a financial form through Wells Fargo when I needed a new breaker box in my house. They approved and also sent me a credit card. Within a few months I started getting false charges on my credit card and I sent a dispute letter to the address they gave me and changed my credit card #. They kept saying they never received my letter disputing the charges and I sent another that they still never received. Finally I went to a Kinkos and faxed it to them. It still took several days before they said they got it. This doesn't make any sense since a fax goes right to them. They took off some of the charges and said the others could not be proven to have not been made by me. I closed my account. However when I got my last statement there were more charges I didn't make to the new card # that had now been closed for over 3 weeks. Charges to an inactive card. They said something about the charges hadn't caught up to me but I never made those charges. This company has horrible security breaches and poor customer service. Wells Fargo is a joke!

My first problem is that I have been paying all interest each month, 0 principal. And I know the loan was not set up that way. My letters regarding this were ignored. Once I researched the Truth in Lending Act I studied my loan more carefully.

The amount that they claimed to have paid my old mortgage company during this refinance seemed high. I called the old company and they sent me a letter indicating the amount they actually received, $2306 less than the amount shown on my paperwork! Somebody stole my $2300.00 and also I am paying interest on that money as well. My letters regarding this problem were ignored as well.

I contacted AG Andrew Cuomo and he agreed that there were some discrepancies and he thanked me for alerting him to these. But I did not get any real help from him. At this Point I might hire I lawyer to get even with these ###.

We recently talked with Wells Fargo about refinancing a vehicle, we were told we were approved, but my husband and I were not thrilled with the terms and conditions - so we declined... a few days late, we thought about it again and emailed the loan officer and said we were still interested if it wasn't too late - she said come on in, THE OFFER IS STILL ON THE TABLE... so we found a babysitter and went back in - after an HOUR of sitting there waiting for paperwork and such, CIndy comes back and says we are not approved... NOTHING HAD CHANGED IN THE FEW DAYS SINCE THE LAST APPROVAL AND SHE HAD SAID THE OFFER IS STILL ON THE TABLE... we are done with them!

I recently had a bad experience with Wells Fargo and when complaining to two different supervisors, I was told, "We don't care". Of course they don't care! I am an individual, and they can deal with me, alone. But if all us disgruntled customers unite and organize, I am sure we can get them to care. I will be sending a hard copy check by regular mail for .10 (TEN CENTS), to be posted to my Wells Fargo account. I will send a check each 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, and 30th of the month, each and every month. This will cost me $3.06 per month, which I feel is a small price to pay to get Wells Fargo to "care". I will bend the envelope, and add an explanation letter as to why that person is having to manually post a ten cent payment. Can you imagine what will happen if ALL us disgruntled customers were to do the same? Say, one million checks in one day! We'd swamp their mailroom and I bet Wells Fargo would soon begin to care. As far as I know, this is completely legal. Shucks, you're just trying to pay down your loan! Please join me in this campaign. Wells Fargo needs to learn to, "CARE".

BBB,
I bought carpet through Academy Carpet. They went through Wells Fargo for financing. I did ask (Dave the salesman for the carpet) did I have to go through Wells Fargo. He replied thats who they get their financing from. At that time I had a 760 credit score. The contract stated o% down for 1 year.At the time it was a good interest rate. I'd never had problems til now.
Randy Rankins said he did not agree with the contract. He took everydime which I'd put towards the principal, he put it on finance fee. He's helping ruin my credit, like its not bad enough already. I looked at my credit report he has it as a write off, its not a write off.
BBB, the reason I keep filing is because their isn't a lawyer that wants to represent me. I have others to file and I know the truth is on my side.(several) I won't go down without even trying. I have to try to help myself because no one else will. Usually they will take you to court, so I was already for that, still ready. I've never heard just write it off and I was almost through paying for it. They call everyday, all day and they never mention the carpet or the 2 money drafts which I was paying off. So I have to get things straight, before they get anything from me. Vanessa Choice [protected]-4302hm

Wells Fargo stall tactics

Started the refinance loan process with Wells Fargo Mortgage in late February 2009. It is now Sept 25, and we are still waiting for a closing date. I have spoken many times to the contact person but am not getting solid information. Supposedly, everything is done and they are waiting for the title information which is now going on 8 weeks.

I have spoken to a few people and the concensus is they are using this as a stall tactic because the rates have gone up and are probably hoping I will drop them.

I am angry that there are no governing rules to protect consumers against this type of fraud and am willing to join any reputable organization that is working on lobbying government officials who can create laws at both state and federal level that will hold these crooks acountable.

Come on. We cannot get a mortgage PREAPPROVAL from them. Very good credit score, no debts, >50% downpayment, ideal customers and we don't borrow much. They told us it would take from 1 week to 1 month. We've been waiting for over 3 months. Every time the same story, you're almost preapproved and then they start something else again. The last status was 3-4 weeks ago when they were re-checking out credit score and WAITING for a reply from Experian (I myself need 3 minutes to download this info from the internet). No way we going to get a mortgage from them. I'm glad I found the address where to complain.

I am going through the same thing with Wells Fargo. They current hold my mortgage on my home in Texas. I started the refinance process with them in April and as of the new year I still have not closed. They have no answers, no reasons and cannot provide a closing date. They claim that it is costing them to pay the penalties on locking in my interest rate, but I don't believe a word they say. They will be losing my business as a result.

I thought we were the only ones that had this experience with Wells Frago Mortgage. We started re-finance application in May 09 at which time the asked us to pay up front for an appraisal. We paid the money only to have no communication from them for months. I am scheduled for spine and brain surgery before the end of the year and knew this was coming up in turn, an attempt to be proactive. We recieved a letter the other day that we requsted to withdraw our application. WHAT? Why on earth would we do that when we had locked in at 4.875% interest rate where we are at 6.25% now. Yeah stall tactics. Now they say we can resubmit your application but the interest rate is 5.25% I know it doesnt seem like much but its the point of the matter. Now we are pushed back several more weeks and get this, we get another letter in the mail stating that through this program we dont need an appraisal. Well where is my money from the first application. There has got to be some typ[e of reprocution for these companies to be missuing, missinforming, and just straight out lying to consumers.

I am so happy to hear that i'm not the only one dealing with the complete incompetence that Wells (yes I agree hell hole) fargo has shown me. I have been trying to do a loan modification for 9 months now with numerous...and I mean NUMEROUS ...emails and calls. Needless to say not a thing has been done to date. I was in the same situation where my credit is 788 and I tried working with Wells when I found out I was being laid off. I was hoping that I could lower my interest in order to afford my home either on unemployment or knowing I was going to have to take a pay cut moving to a new company. I have heard every excuse and made every complaint I can think of. It even got to the point where a supervisor from the email dept called me directly after she made several attempts to 3 different supervisors at the mortgage dept to get them to call me and I didn't receive 1 call back. How completely sad to think a Wells Fargo email supervisor was even disgusted with the way the mortgage assistance dept handled business.
My newest experience lately has been getting calls from the automated "Jessica" asking if I've returned my "paperwork" yet, and everytime I call Wells, they tell me, no just disregard it, no "paperwork" has been sent to you, its still under "review". I agree that I think Wells Fargo is jerking everyone around and I can't believe that they haven't been investigated by the BBB or government for their unethical way of doing buisness. I can happily say though that everytime someone asks about my bank, I strongly advise them to stay as far away from Wells Fargo as possible. Hopefully Wells Fargo starts to lose buisness due to their ineptitude and they realize customer service still has meaning.

We are in the same boat! Still have income from my husbands job but after I lost my job in November started the refinanciang process back in January to lock in at 4.75% & lower payments. Even now, we have never been late with our payments. Tried conventional refi - turned down, Went down the road for a HARP loan - told all along that yes, we qualify and it will go through, it just takes time...just takes time...etc...even recieved a call from the 'underwriter' that its moving along and should be complete soon. Then after not hearing anything for another several weeks, contacted my WF "agent" who informed that because we listed our home for sale for 3 months to see if there was any interest (the listing expired already) that the HARP refi was denied and we have to start all over again! I truly believe that THEY HAVE NO intention of refinancing our loan with them.
I am interested in somehow holding thier feet to the fire - any ideas or organized communication out there that I could join?
It burns me that they are making profits, handing out big bonuses - pocketing OUR tax $$$ that was given to them to help homeowners and small businesses.

Wells Fargo misrepresented information to me regarding loan modification. I entered a payback arrangement following a job loss and was told that "after 6 months we can modify the loan to a lower rate and return your escrow balance." I contacted the mortgage office and was told that the "payback arrangement WAS a loan modification." This is totally counter to the information I was originally given. They are also holding my escrow illegally, and I just read in the paper that Congress is not pleased with their rate of loan modifications using the stimulus money they received for that purpose. I am trying to do the right thing and am not getting any cooperation from them. When I originally called upon losing my job, trying to be proactive, they told me there was "nothin they could do until I was delinquent."

Wells Fargo incompetent with mortgage

Wells Fargo bought our mortgage in 2004 and we have been in HELL ever since. They refuse to send us a monthly statement to make mortgage payments. They refuse to send us our 1098 to do our taxes. I have written over 30 complaint letters to customer service without any written reply. They do a computer call and they say they responded to our complaints. The biggest hell was they decided we needed flood insurance and started charging us. I ended up hiring a lawyer after 3 years of this S**T. So far WF has paid us back almost $5, 000 and we are working on a class action lawsuit. I had to put out almost $1, 000 for the lawyer. I still am not getting monthly statements or my tax paperwork. I had the phone shut off so they can't call me anymore. Oh yes, they put our house in foreclosure too. I made my house payment for 11 years without ONE PROBLEM and within 3 years under the reign of WF, my house ends up on a foreclosure list. I always made my house payment, the foreclousure was over the escrow money they said we owed them. First, I don't have an escrow account with WF, I pay my property taxes and home owner insurance and I stopped paying the flood insurance amount from the house payment since I don't need flood insurance. I can only imagine what my credit score is now after these ###. I had excellent credit till the BANK OF SATIN took over my mortgage. I can't take another 9 years as my mortgage lender without someone going to shed blood. They should have their name changesd to HELLS FARGO, BANK OF SATAN.

I am trying for a home loan from Wells Fargo and I wish I hadn't. I had a loan with NOVA but because the loan officer told me to wait on bidding on a home we lost it so we found another home and decided to go with Wells Fargo. This was the advise of the real estate agent. Now I have waited 2 months and two extensions by Wells Fargo. They have asked me for the same info 3 times and when I first applied for the loan, the loan officer suggested we open an account with Wells Fargo and we did. After two months and the loan is with the underwriters they did not even know I had a Wells Fargo bank account.
Now I have to go to the IRS to have some form from them with my address and I have no idea what for. I am to close by the 24th of June and I think I lost this house too... I have spent well over $4000 just to get this loan and that's not including the down payment. We thought we were to close June 5th so we did not extend our lease for a month so we have been staying hotels/motels and paying way too much for waiting and not knowing what day we are closing... Please send me any info on who to write or call for complaints...

Wells Fargo greedy bank

This year my house was foreclosed on May 6, 2008. I realize I'm among thousands of people that this happened to, but in my situation, I had a contract to sell my house a week before it went into auction. I kept close ties with Wells Fargo Bank, and informed the Bank of my plans to sell and avoid foreclosure of which the real estate agent and I have proof of documentation of faxes sent to Wells Fargo Bank and their lawyers in regards to this sale. The day before the auction, the Bank informed me that the contract to sell my house was valid and complete and the Bank Rep claimed she would send an email to the investor responsible to carry out the sale of the house at the auction bid so it could be stopped, but that I would need to call the next day to make sure and confirm. I called the next day, and another Bank representative informed me that it was too late and my house would be going into auction that day. It was evident that although I tried to avoid this, the Bank had already made it's greedy plans to foreclose. My point in all of this is, I know recently the government had bailed out wall street and financial institutions, but I believe it's time the government helps to bail out those of us who have lost our homes. It seems that all I hear is the talk about how the government plans to help people stay in their homes to prevent foreclosure, but what about those of us who have already lost our homes to foreclosure. These new programs to help people stay in their homes to avoid foreclosure will surely help, but not for me any longer; my house now belongs to HUD, and may have already sold. When I think about my foreclosed house, I think about the meals I used to cook in my kitchen; the laughter of my kids running around the house; my family in the family room watching TV, and I really miss the house I once owned; I cry every time I talk about it, as I am crying while I am writing. My 10 year old daughter said the other day, " mommy I want to go back home to our house in Sonoma Ranch" I know she's been crying and missing the house she once knew as a home. I bought this house in 2002 as a single mother of 2 children, but after being laid off from my job 2 years ago and still have not been able to find suitable employment, I could not keep up with the payments even after I married last year and with my husbands income we still could not keep up because I was already behind on the payments of which the loan had been modified 3 times, and the Bank just kept increasing the payments until we could no longer handle it and decided to sell the house, but little did I know that the Bank already had plans to foreclose. We are living in a relatives home on a temporary basis until we can find a new home, at this point the Northside ISD has declared our 10 year old daughter as homeless under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act, and is allowing my daughter to continue at the same school which was close by our foreclosed house near Helotes TX. I didn’t want to change her from the school and friends she knew since kindergarten and had to inform the school of our loss of housing and temporary housing situation. Please hear my story, I want other's to know and understand that we tried to prevent foreclosure by attempting to sell our house, and even had a valid contract to sell to a sincere buyer, but the greedy Wells Fargo Bank should be ashamed especially since the bail out will just make it ok for this Bank to continue with it's greed. Our American dream has shattered, while this Bank continues with their greed.

Wells Fargo stupid letters about lack of insurance

I gave my insurance info when I applied for this loan. Since I've received a letter stating I didn't have insurance and they would buy it for me at a stupid price. I complied with their stupid letter naming them as the loss payee. Then I get a second letter stating they are not listed as loss payee ? I've just about had all of this companies stupidity that I can take. Their second letter arrived on Saturday and naturally these jerks are closed on Saturday so I can't deal with these idiots till Monday.

They close my convenient to use ebt card for a year. Because I have made dispute over the scammer. And they can not handle it, and named me a mistake of it. MISUSE CARD. I believe the staffs are crazy. The card is for customer to use for purchase with certain limit and rules. They are not me. And how can they say something like time?! You can not handle your work load and shut my card down with a non-reason on record for a year that I did not do. I hope you got punished what you have done to others one day with too much greed benefit at your job.

THERE IS NOT SUCH REASON, a bad housewife or some one financial management bad. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, it is a dispute of a scam by the merchant through/on the card. They just had to make it up a reason that is outrageous.

Wells Fargo refinance fraud

We applied for a refi on our home 4/4/09 and rec'd a rate of 4.5%. That was later changed to 5% with some Wells Fargo trickery. We have an excellent credit rating and they said that because we were an existing customer all they wanted to do was make sure we paid our bills on time and we would go to close within 60 days. It is now the middle of September and we still have not closed! Our mortgage rep said he could not tell us when we will close...maybe a week or two more. Our file is currently with the final underwriter and is considered at the 4A stage. We have jumped through hoops with all matter of paperwork. This extreme delay has even caused them to reorder title because it expired! They are either forcing us to default or get so behind in payments that they then will tell us they won't give us the 5% rate. This is unconsciounable and a true travesty to an American particularly after reading a WF executive has taken up residence in a tony neighborhood in Malibu on a foreclosure! Something must be done...NOW!

We have spent years keeping our credit A-1 and now no one will even talk to us now about getting a good mortgage, this is our dream house that we built and would really like to keep it and with good loan. We have never been late on this Mortgage!
I guess I was asking Wells Fargo for too much to be a great customer and prompt payer, they would rather jerk people around and get that high interest no matter who they destroy.
Here are the 3 different mortgage scenarios we are going through with Wells Fargo Financial, very unhappy with abusive predatory tactics/promises/lies!
On 02/18/08 we financed our home with Wells Fargo Financial to pay off dept that we inquired during the rebuilding process of our home, the home was previously free & clear, we dealt with Trish she contacted us cold call, and we were promised a 9% a fixed rate loan, no problem, get to closing and it turned out to be an ARM @12% interest with 3 year adjustment, my wife had a few things on her credit that was paid off so according to Trish that we can refinance at a good rate in 1 year, Great! Now we have good credit, no late payments on anything and I mean everything. also extra used funds to put in a new septic system & other improvements so we can get ready to refinance, ( last & final time, but Wells Fargo wants to keep us bouncing around in their corrupt system) at 95% of value next year as Wells Fargo will do that, but for them to get around that, they have their own appraiser and he low balled the appraisal by $20, 000, We had the house appraised for $90, 000 a few months earlier by another appraiser, (that deal did not go through due to old septic and water system), and Wells Fargo says it is only worth $70, 000 and that was after many expensive updates. remodel, the home will be worth $90, 000+ now.
Now comes April of 2009 and we were contacted by David Olson one of the managers at the Grand Rapids, Mi. branch and said we are ready to roll this loan into a 4.5% 30 year mortgage, $7500, in closing costs, very high but he said was negotable, Great! We sent all the paperwork in, in April which was all there, complete, easy to find since we had the recent refinance. David also said the sooner we get our paperwork in the sooner we close this loan, so I did just that, 4/15/2008.
Then 05/28/09 comes along and we finally got the Truth in lending Disclosure, Great! every thing looks good, the terms and everything were good for us.
Ok, now that the home still needed a little work to be perfect, I finished some small projects and still needed to complete the garage, siding, electrical, so I contacted David Olson and he said the loan is all approved and just waiting on the appraiser, So I waited for a while and asked David Olsen again what was going on? and again he said the loan has been approved and still waiting on the appraiser, busy guy, So I asked if I could get my own appraisal and he said no to that and David Olsen told me to borrow money to finish your home before the appraiser gets there to get the best appraisal,
OK, put about $5000 on credit cards to finish home and everything was good to go now, 6/15/09. just waiting on the appraiser. Now I also asked David if we should get someone else to refinance since they were having trouble getting a appraiser here and he said just be patient, the loan is all approved and the appraiser will be there, just wait for his phone call. Well this went on all summer, if I would have known this guy was lying to me, I would have found another finance company, but I would have 2% prepayment penalty on the loan, so I would just stick to the plan.
Ok now here comes 08/31/09 a refusal letter stating that we insufficient income, and owe too much. We did not the year before and had many more obligations, yes that is true but since we borrowed money to fix up home, Thanks to David Olsen, I would think that would be expected, since I was going to pay off all dept with loan proceeds and we are on a path to great credit, I have been borrowing money to pay some bills till this loan went through, well since the loan did not go through, I cannot pay my unsecured debt, Now I am in big trouble, it is my fault for listening to these lies from Trish and David Olsen and Wells Fargo. I should have seen it coming.
Ok, now comes the Home Affordable Modification Loan since our income has dropped due to my tenants not paying and the overwhelming unsecured debt etc. (my wife is a Vet and we are both on Social Security fixed income due to disability's), that was 09/11/09 We sent all required info for the Home Affordable Modification to Kerrie Holst and on 11/04/09 Kerrie Holst needed more info, we sent that out promptly and about a week later Karrie Holst called me and said we do not qualify for the Home Affordable Program, we made too much money and the payment would go UP instead of down, I then asked her if there is another way of getting this home in a good loan, and she said it was in a good loan and 12% ARM is a very good rate? WHAT? and she kept insisting me that she trying her best to help me? WHAT?, well that conversation did not end well.
1. OK now check out these 3 situations- 02/18/08 had good credit except wife, not too bad, we get 12% ARM 40 year $675 a month, Ok no problem at time told we can refinance next year when these marks are off of credit
2.OK, Been 1 year now, David Olson called us (cold Call) Apply for a good loan all credit issues cleared up, April 2009 4.5% 30 year fixed-$399.51 a month, down from $690.00 mo. perfect! come 08/31/09, got refused for this loan, findings-could not afford this loan? WHAT?
3. Now we apply for the Home Affordable Modification 11-09, got refused because we make too much money and the payments would go up instead of down, Well That is my nightmare with this bank.
Now How do these numbers really work, approved for $675. per month -currently,
Credit cleared up and apply for 4.5% 30yr fixed loan $399. per month -did not make enough money What?
Apply for Home Modification loan, got denied, payment still $675 per month, -now receive too much money and payment would go up instead of down, with and less income now than in the past 3 years. What?
!Please help!
Thanks, Todd & Cori Runnels

Wells Fargo checking account scam

Wells Fargo is scamming consumers. I would like other people to be aware of what they are doing so they don't get taken advantage of like my husband and I have been.

In short, Wells Fargo sent us a promotional offer in the mail to open up a free checking account with them and receive a $50 bonus. I called over the phone and opened an account with them giving them the promotional code for the $50 bonus. They never deposited the bonus and when I contacted them about this they said I had to talk to the customer service rep that set up the account but I can't get him to return my calls. So I filed a complaint with the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. They responded to the BBB saying they are unable to determine the promotion requested and they have not given me my $50 bonus. I gave them all the information that was on the mailer as it stated to do.

Wells Fargo offered me a promotion to open a checking account and now they won't honor it. I find this very upsetting for me as a consumer to have Wells Fargo use a bait and switch marketing scam to get customers and I feel consumers need to be aware so they don't fall victim to this same scam.

This one is subtle and oh so difficult to prove. Wells Fargo started sending me E mails about 3 weeks ago about how there may be suspicious activity in my account on line. I took the E mails into the local bank as the #'s they had me call were asking for my acct. # and if not my SS which seemed of course suspicious. The bank reported these E mails to the fraud dept. of Wells Fargo. Then I got a letter saying they had been trying to call me unsuccessfully and that I needed to call their fraud line at [protected]. Well I reluctantly called the # and they wanted my acct. # again and if not my SS. I said no, I won't give them over the phone. I went back to the bank (same banker) he said that he'll report it but it probably isn't anything and I should bring in the letter.
He pulled up my statement and printed it...nothing wrong or out of place. Went to pay my mortgage on line this AM and I am denied access (for security reasons). I called the # they give on line. The "nice young man" explained that it just may have been triggered if I used a different computer to access my acct. Okay,
so then he goes into 15 ways why I need to pay $12.00 a month to get Wells special security policy against
just this type of thing...Bait and switch by causing unnessessary fear this one is...imagine how many $12.00 per mo. policies this creates for them. I think it's criminal! Anyone else experience this?

Wells Fargo unauthorized billing

August, 2009; I called WF to make a payment because their website was down. I usually make my payments on line because it is free of charge and fast. When I made the payment on the phone I was advised that I should go ahead and set up another check for next months payment because the site may still be down. I went ahead and did that. They wanted to charge me $12 for taking my 'check by phone' and finally I got them to waive the $12 because it was not my fault their site was down. My husband has been out of work since May, so when the time came for the following months payment to come out, we were not going to have the funds. I called WF and asked them to post date the check for another week, until I got paid, so I knew the money would be there. They said ok. They tried putting the check through anyway which cost me a NSF fee. I called WF the day I got paid to advise them to put the check through, which they did that evening. 2 days later they put it through again which took my account into the negative. They took 2 car payments from my account when I only authorized one. They also charged me $12 on one of the checks. My next car payment is not due until September 13th! It is only Sept. 5th! I called WF to have them put the funds back into my account and not only was I hung up on twice, I was sent to someone's v/m that I didn't know I was being transferred to. So my fourth attempt at calling them back, I finally spoke with a manager who told me that she could not put the funds back into my account because' I didn't bank with WF' and what I need to do is fax over my bank statement showing the 2 withdrawls from WF, call back in 24 hours to make sure they got it, give them another 48 hours to cut a check so they can put it in the mail! In the mean time, my account is negative (thank God I was able to put some money into savings otherwise we would have no money to live on until they sent me the check). Its funny, when they want their money, they threaten you and make you western union it - spending more of your money so they can get their money on time. But when THEY make a mistake, not only do they not care that you are being charged NSF fees due to their negligence, but they make you wait over a week to get your hard earned money back. Wells Fargo sucks! We all know they have the capability to reverse funds as easily as they do to take funds. BTW - I was advised that WF does not advise their employess (the people that take your personal banking information for payments) to advise their customers they will put a check through 3x until it's paid. So, basically, when I called to advise the money was in my account, they took it as another 'check over the phone' which I DID NOT EVEN GIVE ANY BANKING INFO THE 2ND TIME I CALLED. Amazing this company is still in business... anyone interested in a class action law suit? Email me @ [protected]@hotmail.com.

Wells Fargo unauthorized billing

I puchased a floor sample sofabed from Raymour Flanigan and had to arrange to shipment via a local handyman they suggested--to the tune of $100 cold cash. The payment was due over a 3 month period to Wells Fargo. At the last payment, for some mysterious reason the check was said not to be received by Wells Fargo even though Citibank had issued it (some mysterious reason two banking giants could not communicate electronically but used snail mail. Tho I spoke to WF reps and attempted to make the last payment via computer I have just now received yet another finance charge and another finance charge...almost a total of $30 in finance charges that I feel are unwarranted.

A personal banker offered me $50 to open a checking account, but claimed he couldn't find a copy of the certificate. I told him to send the $50 certificate along with the account opening forms to my home. He opened a checking account and a savings account for me without my authorization and signature, but never sent the $50 certificate to me. When I complained to their toll-free number, I was told that I would receive my $50 certificate and that I would not be charged any fees. However, both statements were false.

I am writing on one last attempt to reconcile the problems with my account. I had several small check card purchase which for one reason or another did not go through until after my account had run low. I was charged $34 for 6 or 7 purchases under $10. I was under the impression that these purchases would not go through on my debit card if they were not going to be covered and/or taken out immediately.

In the past I have liked your service but other than availability in most cities, there is nothing irreplaceable about it. I closed my account immediately after seeing these charges as I'm working in Osage, WY for a few months. My sister is handling my local business, she has power of attorney for that purpose.

If you would consider refunding these charges I would reopen my account as I noted, it is convenient. I have a direct deposit of $400-600 per week.

Wells Fargo signed us up for a mortgage, now pulling out and says they will not renew

Just received a letter from Wells Fargo Financial Corporation of Canada, Missisauga office

Subject "Wells Fargo Financial Corporation Canda discontinues residential real estate lending

Dear nnnn,

You are a valued Customer of Wells Fargo Financial customer and we thank you for your business.

Please note that effective July 30th, 2009, Wells Fargo Financial Canada exited the residential real estate loan market. therefore, we no longer accept applications for residential real estate loans, We will, however, continue servicing your real estate loan.

These are the only changes occurring at this date on your loan. The other temrs and conditions remain intact; your interest rate will remain the same and you are still required to make monthly payments as indicated in your loan documents.

Please take a moment to determine the maturity date of your loan. You will need to make arrangements with other than through Wells Fargo Financial in the event your loan reaches maturity with us.

Again, thank you for your business. If you have questions, please contact us at [protected].

Sincerely,

Corporate Customer Relations
Wells Fargo Financial Corporation Canada

====================
To make a long story short, in in 9 months I will be forced to look for someone to refinance my $620k mortgage that is costing me $4200 a month to pay off, and with the market as it is the assessed value is about that amount. Go figure what are my changes.

To add injury to insult, if I try to sell now and pay off the loan from the proceeds of the sale before the loan matures, I have to pay a $24k prepayment penalty.

From the get go I asked the branch manager for assurances that, as long as there is no default situation, the mortgage will be renewed, there will not be a problem. When all the sub-prime crisis started I called the local branch manager again to confirm the renewal promise...again no problem.

Now that manager is no longer with the company, and I get the above letter. I THINK ANY REASONABLE PERSON WOULD AGREE I AM BEING SCREWED BY WELLS FARGO.

MY ADVICE...AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE.

DUE TO THOSE ###, I MAY HAVE TO SELL MY HOME, POSSIBLY AT A BIG LOSS IF I CANNOT GET ANOTHER MORTGAGE, AND WORK IN REAL ESTATE FEES AND BASICALLY MY LIFE SAVINGS GO DOWN THE TUBE.

I HAD AN INTUITION I WAS MAKING A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL WHEN I TOOK OUT A HOME OWNER EQUITY LOAN WITH THEM, BUT THEY GAVE SUCH A GOOD STORY THAT IT WOULD ALL WORK OUT. IT COULD HAVE, EXCEPT FOR THIS LATEST DECISION BY WELLS FARGO NOT TO RENEW EXISTING MORTGAGES.

I have seen articles quoting WF Canada that they will continue servicing existing loans...but what was not mentioned is that they would not renew those upon maturity.

SHAME!

There are no penalties if you payout your mortgage at maturity. Not sure what a lawsuit would be based on? And WFF will renew your mortgage if you can't get financing elsewhere... Hopefully for the period you had the mortgage you got your credit back into shape and can re-finance at a bank for a much better rate.

I have taken steps t0 launch a Class action lawsuit against Wells Fargo, We are in the same boat as you, thier early payout penalties can and should be waived if they inform you to seek other lenders on your maturity date, basically they are instructing you to payout your loan when you are not in default.

The usual payout penalty is more than half of what they ask, but they want you gone, this was all just a cash grab, take your interest for however long was your term was and goodbye

if you want to join in e-mail me for details

Together we can make a change and save innocent peoples properties and assests

Wells Fargo should be avoided at all costs

Managers were not aware a decision to cancel mortgages was coming. Wells Fargo will do everything possible to help people refinance there homes. In many cases Wells Fargo will be taking a loss to help people out. Wait till maturity, see a mortgage broker, if that doesnt work Wells Fargo will most likely do a short term re-finance till your credit situation improves. Wells Fargo is not responsible for the declining real estate market.

Wells Fargo shady business practices, posting and overdraft and bounced check fees

Wells Fargo Bank Sucks. In my opinion. This bank has a lot of nerve.
Not only do they have shady accounting practices, to their advantage,
taking my hard earned money for their undeserved fees, and posting practices, now, they are putting lengthy 2 week holds on depsoits, for
no apparent reason. (oh excuse me, for my protection, so I don't incur the fees if the deposit should be rejected. RIGHT!) The opposite, I believe. Especially, when Never have I had a deposit rejected or one that doesn't clear. This particular depsoit was from my Homeowners Insurance for Roof repairs from storm damage... Which I am prevented now from having repaired while the weather is nice, or even putting a deposit down on the work because of WELLS FARGO AND THEIR "POLICY" PRACTICES. THEY ARE DIRTY DEVILS. DON'T GET HOOKED UP WITH THESE PEOPLE IN ANY WAY.

What gets to me is when you have a certain balance, you go and do a couple of $2.00 purchases like the post office or something and you go back home, check your account and they are posted. THEN, the next morning, you look at your account, those 2-3 items are now pending, and the $123.00 to the insurance company went through, and now you have not only $35.00 NSF fees, but returned check fees for $35.00 so that's $210.00 of fees. They only say, maybe you need to keep a transaction record written down and there's nothing they can do. Hmmm. Ok, I get my daughters social security money on Friday, already set up for direct deposit. I'm calling them tomorrow to see if I can get it stopped. If I can't I'm going to close down my account so they can lose out on all the $520.00 or so of fees they have collected from me from the past 15 days, have my Social security check returned because the account was closed down, get my electricity cut off, with 2 kids at home, get me booted out of my apartment because my Unemployment check next week is not enough to cover my rent and hope that the Social Security will get a check to me within the next week. Such BS, and no i'm not a lazy person. I have 3 degrees going for my Masters and just tired of all the BS of having an account with WF. Does anyone know of a great bank out there?

WELLS FARGO:

Desiree and Justin at customer service. I very much dislike the way Wells Fargo does the posting order that nearly always entails a higher overdraft fee to the customer. I want CHRONOLOGICAL posting not biggest to smallest which always serves the big banks interest in OD fees. You guys are honestly frustrating me to the point that I will soon close the account and that of my spouse and do my business elsewhere. I don't lke being lectured the way I was by Justin that I agreed to all the small print about Order of Posting ^&^^ *&^(^. Shame on Wells Fargo and please stop lecturing people who bailed you out. We didn't lecture you when you took our money. Next time u act this way I am gone and it will feel damn good!

Wells Fargo poor customer service/misinformation

Earlier in the year, we were assessed the wrong taxes for our home because of an error with our county's tax assessor. Our taxes and whatnot are paid via an escrow account that we pay into with our monthly payments, so Wells Fargo paid the taxes in full, leaving a negative balance. When they reanalyzed our escrow this year, we had a shortage that resulted in our monthly payments increasing by $400.00.

After we got that escrow statement, we went to the tax assessor, got the correct tax amount, and were issued a refund. We promptly called Wells Fargo to inform them of the correction, and let them know we would call back and resolve the shortage when we received the refund.

A couple of weeks later, we received the refund and I called Wells Fargo to pay off the shortage and reduce our monthly payments to what they should be. The agent I spoke with told me that because we pay our mortgage in biweekly payments, we were ahead on payments for the year; that meant they could reverse the last two biweekly payments and apply them to our escrow account, leaving us to pay the difference (around $100).

Sounded like a great plan, and it was supposed to be resolved within 5 business days. After the five business days came and went, I logged in and saw that the reversal hadn't happened. I left this same agent a voicemail...no callback. I then called their main service number and spoke to another agent about the problem. She gave me the same response, which was that she would submit the request and they would take care of it in five business days.

Five business days later - logged in, account still the same.

Called back today and spoke to ANOTHER agent and was told that the two requests were denied because they cannot reverse bi-weekly payments, only monthly payments. She then got a bit of an attitude and told me that I should have sent the refund to Wells Fargo because it was Wells Fargo's money. This set me off because that's exactly what I called to do in the first place, and TWO of their ###ic agents misinformed me. On top of that, they had access to my customer notes and information and never contacted me to tell me the reversals could not be processed, nor did they check their notes and inform me of this on either of the previous calls I placed to them.

All in all, I will be glad when we sell our house in a couple of years and end this relationship. I will not be doing business with these jokers again.

Part of letter I mailed the President of the United States today.

I wrote this letter after reading the speech you gave in Ohio where you said "And I can promise you, there will be more fights in the days ahead. We're having one of them right now, because I want to charge Wall Street a modest fee to repay taxpayers in full for saving their skin in a time of need. You can rest assured, we're going to get that money -- your money -- back, each and every dime."
Obama concluded, "I didn't run for president to turn away from these challenges. I didn't run for president to kick them down the road. I ran for president to confront them, once and for all."

My TIME OF NEED is NOW I need some of the stimulus money that was handed to the banks to SAVE MY SKIN. REDUCE my interest rate, SAVE my house that I’ve lived in since 1979.

One company you need to confront is Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. My current mortgage rate is 8.62%. My mortgage is $54, 000 but with escrows, taxes my payment is $1, 027 per month. My mortgage problems started in Dec 2008 when I fell behind in my payments. It’s been a horror show since then. I provided all the paperwork Wells Fargo required for a loan modification, they lied, everytime I spoke to someone it was a different story. I spoke to Wells Fargo 2-3 times weekly from Dec 2008- Jan 2010.

On Jan 19, 2010 I received a foreclosure letter from xxxxx Law Offices. Saying I was behind 4 months. I called Wells Fargo the Loss Mitigation specialist looked at my payments history, agreed there were mistakes. Said talk to Customer Service and get a payment history print out.
Which I never received.

In 30 days I could be foreclosed on, what am I supposed to do .

I’m not asking for a handout or anything for free. I just need HELP.
I’m looking for what was promised lower interest rates, my house not going into foreclosure.
That is what the stimulus money was for, not for mega bonuses, lavish parties.

I’ve called a counselor numerous times at HOPE NOW but never got a return call.
As I was typing this letter to you I received a fax from xxxxx Law Offices if I want to reinstate my loan I need to give them $6, 625.25 ($1, 410.54 in legal fees) before Feb 3rd after that date the fees get higher.

Please HELP me, thank you.

Elaine

Wells Fargo failure to meet closing date

In March 2009, with a preliminary pre-approval letter from Wells Fargo in hand, I made an offer on an investment property. The closing was set for 45 days later. I went with Wells Fargo home mortgage because of previous positive transactions with this bank. Wow - what a mistake. More than 90 days later, the seller sold the property to another buyer because Wells Fargo was still dragging their feet. I'm out over $3, 000 in earnest money and fees paid to Wells Fargo.

In my case, the problem was a total lack of follow-up by the loan officer and supervisors. E-mails, phone calls and letters went unanswered I began dropping into the bank every few days to determine whether anything was required on my part and make sure the loan request was being processed. The customer service from this individual was HORRIBLE. In July, I sent a formal letter of complaint to the loan agent and supervisor requesting a response within 30 days. To date, I still haven't received anything - no thanks for your application, no sorry for your inconvenience - NOTHING.

I have a friend trying to buy a house at this time and is going through the same crap. He was suppose to close Nov 19, 45 days after putting the contract on the house and has still not closed because of Wells Fargo Mortgage incompitence. The loan officer and her manager are both idiots. I will never recommend Wells Fargo to anyone. He is ready to walk away from the house and tell Wells Fargo to go to hell.

Wells Fargo fraud/misrepresentation

I was eligible and filed the paperwork for a loan modification due to harship of my wife losing her job. Wells Fargo after processing the application and assigning a negotiator for five months they just close the file with no restructuring offer. In fact the loan mitigation department says they can't re-open the file and I would have to re-file from the begining since my wife is on unemployment and once that runs out I need to re-file. Unemployment as I understand is not to be used as a factor of income in these modifications. Wells Fargo has shown no intention of restructuring these loans eventhough we (the taxpayers) have given them bilions of our tax dollars for this program they are just sitting fat and happy paying their corporate bonuses as the rest of us suffer. The complete lack of accountability and oversight is exactly how we ended up in this financial mess in the first place.
Shame on you Wells Fargo! I want to file or join a class-action lawsuit aginast Wells Fargo Mortgage, anyone started one yet? Who is with me?

I am going through the same thing and I am definately in, I actually had a forbearance agreement with them until this month 1/6/10 to be exact where I was to pay a decreased amount until they did the figures to see if I qualified for the Obama act...I just received a summons to court for foreclosure scheduled the beginning of February. They are sheisters because I have representatives through Home Rescue LLC who has been working with them on my behalf since Sept 09. A few weeks ago they sent me a letter stating that they sold my account to another Wells Fargo division and have been trying to contact me, they know that if we make arrangements over the phone that I breach my contract with Home Rescue and they will no longer represent me..they are sneaky, sneaky, sneaky..and have no regard in the lives and well being of their clients and I do plan to be a voice in this matter!

I agree as well, we have been in the Loan Modification process and only have phone interaction, you are completely vulnerable, not one supervisor has returned a call to us and now although I have a tracking # to prove they received our signatures and documents they are saying they never received it. Where does someone go to fight this type of service, we are good people trying to resolve our problem and the treatment is unacceptable and demeaning.
Who can help us?

I agree 100%! My wife collasped while teaching in her classroom and the subsequent medical bills were more than we could handle. They were not willing to negotiate at ALL. We had to short sale and paid $3000 dollars of our savings just for them to allow us to short sale. The money was never even applied to the remaing balance. There is a special place where its HOT for the people who work there.

Wells Fargo has wasted almost 4 1/2 months of my time and most importantly it closed
the door on the hope it gave me to make my house affordable. I too, qualified for the modification according to government regulations and they denied the case. When asked how this could be possible, they gave me endless excuses and reasons, none of which make any sense at all. I would not only be part of a class action suit, I would also like to see their mask of "concern" pulled off of their face.
WELLS FARGO IS PLAYING GAMES WITH PEOPLES LIVES. Their is no excuse for such insensitive practices.

Wells Fargo repayment plan, did not disclose facts

Take responsibility Wells Fargo! I had gone through 2 layoffs and a total of 14 months of unemployment without missing a payment with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Then in November of 2007 I had to make a decision, either pay the mortgage or monthly bills, there was not enough cash for both and if I were to pay the mortgage I would have to over night the payment to get it there on time. I called wells fargo and told the seemingly "nice" customer service person my dilema who proceeded to tell me about a repayment plan where my payment would be divided up over 10 months at at the end I would be current. Sounded good to me so I hung up and proceeded to take all the cash I had and pay my monthly household bills. A week and a half later I get paperwork from wells fargo reconfirming my conversation which looked ok, so I signed it and mailed it back. Fast forward 5 months, I go to trade in my wifes car and am told my credit is so bad I couldn't finance an apple. I checked and sure enough, wells fargo was showing me dilinquent each and every month. I checked the paperwork and it said I would be reported "late" which I took to mean the payment did not arrive on the 1st of the month.

My credit has been destroyed. At this very moment I am scrambling to keep my son in college because I cannot qualify to cosign a student loan. I have contacted State Representatives, Senators, the Attorney General and my complaint even found it's way to the Comptroller of the Currency who agreed like others I have a legitimate complaint but not their jurisdiction. I finally got somebody from the executive complaint department at wells fargo on the phone last week and after I made it clear I want nothing from wells fargo but my credit restored I was told it was my responsibility to ask the question as to whether it would hurt my credit or not. Wells Fargo has gone back and listened to the conversation and has reported everything that was said during the conversation accurately but they continue to convienently leave out the part of whether it was disclosed to me that it would destroy my credit.

I am looking for help here anyone have any ideas on how to fight this battle. I just want my credit restored.

Pete

Wells Fargo will continue to report you late even if you are on a repayment program and stay current with the payments until the whole amount is paid up. They report you late each month because they apply the payment to the oldest month's bill.

OMG! I have a credit card through Wells Fargo and I got behind on the payments, so they also got me to agree to a repayment program that is directly taken from my checking account each month. My husband and I are also going through unemployment/layoff issues! We are just trying to hold out and try to keep our credit decent incase things do start looking better in this economy! I hope they are not screwing us too! Chapter 11 may be our only way out! I do have one complaint about Wells Fargo, their customer sevice people are rude as hell! One lady actually hung up on our husband when he said he could not make a payment by a certain time and then after that is when they called about the repayment plan! Come to think about it, we are probably getting screwed!

We are going thru the same thing. I am so pissed after seeing a story today on CNN about others dealing with the same thing we are, Mtg companies try to get you to do a repayment plan, you do everything to the dime as they asked, then a week or 2 passes and they state we were not cooperative or returning their calls. BS! So we go and redo everything and they say the same crap 2 weeks later, or we get some dumba** employee that doesnt have a single clue how to handle it .
there HAS TO BE something done about this, they are screwing us over!
We go with Wells Fargo and I would never recommend them to anyone EVER!
I hope they go under with no bailout at all.
