Wells Fargo we lost our home!!

We lost our home due to my illness. We tried to contact the CEO and even sent him a letter along with pictures my daughters had drawn of our home.. They wanted to do a forebearance but who can come up with all the back payments.. We were told we couldn't afford it anymore. To make a long story short I would not suggest this company as a mortgage provider. We are down to one income and they wouldn't lower the payments for us to stay.. To all of you who are losing your homes I pray you have the strenghth to get through it and when you have exausted all your options and they still won't help you keep your home.. Walk away knowing you did all you could to save your home...

We explained to them over months and months about our son having several medical problems plus the loss of hours at work. We requested help several times, finally they just sold our home out from under us prior to any requested help could be given. We have down sized to a town house with payments of half the high ones that WF gave us. They should hang their heads in shame. I am a vet and they would rather keep dead beats in homes rather than someone who served in war. I know of a woman that is recently divorced and doles not even have a job that has been in her house 20 months w/o making a payment. We got two months behind and they sold ours that quick. SHAMEFUL!

After paying $1222 a month for my mortgage for 20 months, I was informed that my payment would increase to $1950 due to a $7500 shortage in my escrow account. I have a fixed interest rate and neither my insurance or taxes went up. They said I could pay them the $7500 to keep the payments the same as before. Unfortunately, I do not have anywhere close to...

Wells Fargo auto loan pay-off quote rip-off

Our first dealings with Wells Fargo Auto began in 2003 when my husband's truck loan was sold to WF from Capital One. So we had no choice but to deal with them at a 16.9% interest rate. For 3 years, we paid on time, every month, and decided to try to refinance for a better interest rate. Went through the whole loan process with them, only to be told "you don't qualify for a loan with us" ?@@!? HELLO! We have a loan with you! They just didn't want to drop the interest rate. Any way, paid for one more year and in 2006, they decided we were worthy and refinanced for 16.25% interest rate. Woohoo...whoopdie do... We paid on that for several months, than traded the truck in on a new vehicle with a different lender. Used that lender for 3 months, than WF local branch called and called repeatedly telling us they could get us a better loan. We tried with them several times in the past only to be told we didn't qualify, but were stupid again and tried. Well, they gave us a loan all right at 16.25% and talked us into $4000 more than we owed in the first place and again, we are stupid and took it. We paid on the car for a year, and in 2007, got an offer from Wachovia to do the loan with a 11.5% interest rate. So we jumped at it! Wachovia did it for just what was owed and didn't try to ever make us take more. They sent a pay-0ff request on 9-5, sent a check overnight on 9-6, and WF waited until 9/10 to apply the funds, leaving a $74 balance on the loan. I called Wachovia to tell them this, seeing as WF would not release the title to Wachovia until zer balance, and the rep at Wachovia called WF right then on a 3-way call. She told the girl we spoke to (who acted dumber than a box of rocks) that she had a signature and time someone at WF signed for the check on the 6th, and that the quote was valid. Please remove the balance and send the title. The girl put us on hold, than came back and said that WF erroneously applied the funds and she would talk to her "supervisor" and this would be taken care of in the next 10 business days. She gave a name and phone # to call back and verify. In 10 days, I checked online, and nothing had been done, so I called the number, ... and guess what...it just rang and rang. I called Wachovia back for some help, and the rep I dealt with before called again, and asked for the Mamanger. The lady said she couldn't get the manager, but gave us to her "supervisor". The supervisor told us she would have to look into it and gave us a phone number to call back. In the meantime, I am getting a paper bill that says I have a past due principle balance of $74 and than adding another $74 to that for a total of $148 due. Somehow, $74 was credited back, but it still showed a $74 balance. And guess what?! They have reported it on both mine and my husband's credit report! We are meticulous about paying our bills on time, and feel we have no recourse to get this resolved. We call and call and are told repeatedly that it have to go higher up, and repeatedly have to explain the situation like there are no notes being kept. It's so frustrating that no one will help us there! And my question is, if we ever pay off the loan with Wachovia, how will we ever get our title free and clear? My husband absolutely refuses to pay WF for the principle of it all, but I am so tempted just to pay the damn money to get rid of them in our lives!

Wells Fargo is the worst financial company I have ever dealt with. The things they due are truly unscrupulous and borderline criminal. I have a similar story, which I will post at a later date.

This problem all comes back to Wachovia not getting the correct 10-Day payoff amount like all responsible lenders routinely do. This must be why Wachovia is a failing company and Wells Fargo is the only financial institution still increasing in revenue and still hiring employees instead of laying off hundreds at a time. Wachovia most likely took the loan balance amount straight from the credit report which is only reported once a month and is not the amount that accrues interest all month long. Another angry person that doesn't understand the way loans work, but is always blaming everybody else. Nothing new.

Wells Fargo scam charges!

Well Fargo Bank is making money by putting levies on your checking account from credit card companies. when they do this they are making your account $0 (zero) so all these overdraft fees will come in for $34 each. I had Wells Fargo do a levy for $ 16.05 and they made $170 from five overdrafts fees. They are making lot of money putting levies of people's checking accounts. They could have least called me and let me know they were going to do it so I could have put the money in the bank to cover my checks that balanced after they took the money. They didn't offer to credit the overdraft fees either.

Wells Fargo Bank Covington Georgia has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I take my business to those who at least act as if they appreciate it.
I have had to personally do business with this location between 6 or 8 times, I think 7 came with some type of drama.
Each time it seemed that the service and capabilities of each representative I came in contact with were quite different thus is part of my frustrations. I was married 3 yrs. ago and my wife is with this bank, we kept separate accounts but have each other signed on as co signers. Today I encountered Yvonne who tried to make me sit in a corner and wait for the manager, rather than fulfill my request that she cash my check, under the guise "you are obviously upset and would better be served by the manager". Yes I was upset but I didn't ask to see a D@#@ manager. I asked her to cash a check, that they required me to go inside the bank from the drive thru, to get out in the rain and come in to be printed and to produce another form of ID and a TRUE statement I made "It isn't my fault yall put it in the system wrong", hit Yvonne's aggravation button.

YOu don't need a court to order a levy, it is a lein . You just fill out the paper work and take it to the clerk of court, pay a fee to register and then it is done

Wells Fargo, took a direct withdrawl from my account causing an overdraft. It was a different account number than mine and a completely different name than mine. Whomever alloud this can't read. I got it straightened out after I told them I filed a complaint with the Federal Banking commission. Now we are having problems with the other checking account. It is 3, 000 less than what it should be and of course they have no idea what happened. They are far too busy doing their job than to help me.

I believe if my memory serves me right that a levy is placed on a person account only by a cort order. So Wells Fargo put the levy on you account because a cort ordered then too. As for the overdraft fee did you try all areas to get those fees waived. Go into you local branch or talk to managers? Also, I know that if a bank won't waive ANY of your Overdraft fees your relationship with the bank might not be on the best terms.

Wells Fargo wells fargo disapearing transactions

Looking for more people who are having this same problem. I booked a wedding chapel for me and my fiancée’s wedding using my wells Fargo check card. Ok. I checked the balance a few minutes later, and it was on my account, taken out and all, for like 3 days. Then today I checked my balance, and the transaction is no where on the site. I’m willing to bet it would be on here in a day or two, whole point is they are hiding transactions to confuse consumers, therefore racking up unfair overdraft charges, (lol) in the order, largest to smallest. Nothing about the time or date of transactions. Just trying to find out if there is more people with the same problem, how many there are, and what we can do about it...class action lawsuit anyone?

Identical situation here in Las Vegas.
Transactions appear as pending for maybe a day, and then just simply vanish, only to reappear days later, sometimes as still pending, and sometimes not.
In this day and age, with the technology we have that can pinpoint a person's exact location on the planet and with the instant communication we have today, this is unacceptable for 'online' banking. (I use that term VERY loosely)
The Federal government needs to take a close look into the business practices of this institution.

Wells Fargo do not bank with wells fargo

Do not bank with Wells Fargo! In the last couple of years I have had a few bad experiences with Wells Fargo. My credit account has been closed few times for no reason and without a notice (phone, email, mail, etc.).

Today, for the 3rd time in two years, Wells Fargo has closed my account without a notice and for no reason. I've been a Wells Fargo customer for over 5 years and I will be terminating any business with Wells Fargo. I have had enough with their worst than poor business and customer service.

Please, DO NOT BANK WITH WELLS FARGO, unless you want to waste your time, energy and money.

Wells Fargo harassing calls!

Wells Fargo is my last choice for future mortgages. I currently have two mortgages with them, one is a rental property. I’ve had the rental loan for 7 years now. I’ve never had to pay a late fee. The tenants have until the 5th to pay, so I send out the payment to WF on the 8th. I have until the 15th according to the loan docs. Since last year they call my home at all hours, weekdays and weekends to harass me until they get the payment. They wake up my toddler and interrupt our family dinners. Whenever I talk to a rep, they are rude and condescending. I am outraged!

I have had my current loan with Wells Fargo for 4 years and for the 4 years every month i paid in advance and never had an issue. I changed because i lost my job to pay in the month it is due. I was never late over the grace period, never had a late charge. YET i receive 11 calls a day or more starting on the 2nd every month. I used to answer them and say the payment will be made by the 16th as always. The customer service people are down right NASTY. They even called my neighbors and asked them if i live in my home and what i drive. If i have problems. OMG really what right do they have. They told them they were trying to collect a debt from me and that they should tell me to pay my bills. OMG Lawsuit on the way because my neighbor got it on TAPE. Ever since that i don't take their phone calls and i pay my bill every month, they tired to get me for 3 late payments when the auto payment was already make on time. I refuse to pay late charges when they get the payment on time. I told them to take me to court and i will win and they will have to pay off my loan. They dropped it and took off the late charges. Listen They stink, i will never have them again i don't care what i have to do. Wells Fargo is the worst company around, their customer service stinks, their practices are shoddy and they should be ashamed of themselves.

My husband and I have been in our home for 3 and a half years. At first eveything was going great. We never had a problem with Wachovia, but as soon as Wells Fargo took over we have been miserable. The worst customer service and rude. We were late for the first time in November. We sent the payment along wth the late fee. December's payment has been made on time howeverer the phone calls and threatening letters won't stop coming in. And forget trying to refinance with them. They just don't want to help. We are currently paying 6.5%. Wells Fargo states they do not feel we are eligible for a refinance. Sounds to me like bulls*** to me.

A Grace period is a GRACE PERIOD...it means you have a time given to pay - it does not mean to contact and harass for payment. The only reason you are fdoing this now is because corporate said so... you've never done this before and Ive been with you for over 10 years. STOP HARASSING YOUR CUSTOMERS! 2 freaking days after. You are unbelievable.

I have the same problem, my mortgage was with Wachovia, and when Wells Fargo took it over the nightmare began. They call not once, but 5 to 6 times a day and keep calling even after I've paid it! I have had the bank call on my behalf, and the bank manager got no where with them. Three times they have promised to send me a cease and desist letter, which has never arrived. my statement date is the 21st it says I have till usually the between the 4th or 7th of every month to make my payment. I pay at the bank in person, they have checked my records for the last 5 years and there has never been a late fee assessed so why the heck am I being hassled? when I ask they say your payment is due on the 21st and anything after that is late! I JUST WANT TO REACH OUT AND TOUCH SOMEONE... with a TWO BY FOUR! I pray they sell my mortgage quickly!

We are having the same problem. Our Mortgage was with Wachovia and got bought by Wells Fargo in October and this has been the WORST experience that we have ever had. We have never been late with a mortgage payment since we bought this house. We have until the 16th to pay the payment and depending on the way our bills fall we have to wait until the next pay period to pay it. The thing that has us mad is that we never were notified that our mortgage was switching to Wells Fargo we only recieved a statement in the mail. Two months later when one of the customer service reps called her comment to me was "we did not ask for you business", not to mention how rude she was from the very beginning. So I rudely explained to her that it was us that did not ask for their business. It clearly has on the the statement "pay this amount after the 16th" so if there is an issue with me paying my mortgage in between that time then maybe they shouldn't have a grace period. This morning they called AGAIN and I was told that the contract I signed with them states, So I had to explain to him that we never signed a contract with Wells Fargo only with Wachovia. So his statement to me was that we need to pay our mortgage on the 1st to stop recieving the phone calls. Who the hell are these people. Then he wanted to take the payment over the phone. Sorry I make my payments online and then I explained to him that I will wait for their phone calls every month b/c I will wait until the VERY LAST MINUTED to pay my mortgage payment.

Yes I am having the same problem. They are harassing me with phone calls when I am not late until the 15th of the month. I have been paying them 1/2 my mortgage payments every two weeks when we get paid. This helps with our budget. I have all my receipts and have gone to the bank locations to get help communicating with the mortgage customer service. once we are done with the call everything sounds like it is a okay and they will be fixed. Oh no, next month comes around and it starts all over again. Wells Fargo is posting my payments incorrectly and I am receiving harassing phones stating I am behind and if I am planning on staying in the house. I am sick of them threatening me when I am not behind on my payments until the 15th of the month. This has got to stop.

Wells Fargo service charges

I closed my account(s) with Wells Fargo over two years ago. Last year, I received a call from a collection agency trying to collect on $55 service charges from Wells Fargo. After further investigation, it turned out that the banker didn't close the accounts correctly and I had incurred $55 on my account. After a two-month ordeal, Wells Fargo credited my account and worked out the details with the collection agency.
A year later, I received another call from the collection agency with another $55 negative balance that I need to pay. Having gone through this before, I called the branch asking to speak with the manager. The teller (Lara ?) hung up on me. On my second attempt, she gave me the number for the overdraft department. So I called the overdraft department (Denis; extremly rude) who refused to even listen to me. He said that I need to talk to the branch manager because the charge is over $50. So I called Lara again. She said that her manager was at a meeting and that she was going to call me ASAP, if I left my number with her. I did.
No call. So I called the branch again and asked to speak with the manager. Megan (same manager as the one from last year) answered and said that there is nothing she can do to help. She said that I needed to pay the $55. I asked if she could check my account and she said no. Her excuse was that there is no history and I should contact the overdraft department.
Reluctantly, she looked up my SS# and said that it was my savings account that was not closed correctly. When I asked her what she was going to do to help me correct this, she said "nothing, I don't want to discuss this with you. I told you ... just pay the $55, there is nothing you can do." I asked her if there was another department that I could speak with. She said no ...it is just me and there is nothing you can do but pay the amount.

I cannot believe this. Should I set aside $55 every year to pay to Wells Fargo for one of the accounts that I closed several years ago. The problem is thatthere is not where to go. There is no one that can help. I should just pay whatever it is and shut up. There is no regualtion of any sort and firms like wells Fargo are given every opportunity to exploit customers in order to make money.
Can anyone help?

Funny... Not sure if other banks do this... But I got hit up on a "Cash backed/withdrawl" credit card I had opened 20 years ago w/ First Union. I made one payment on it of $211 and never used it again. Supposedly they saw where it had been supposedly "closed". Though I will have to say, They did take care of it... hopefully... And made sure it was "closed" out properly. The CS rep I dealt w/ already had 3 other similar complaints he was having to deal w/ that day also.

This happened to my son today. We closed the account in January and in Feb we get harassing collection calls for overdrafts on the account.

We went to the branch in Bothell WA and were rudely treated, and our complaints fell on deaf ears.

The lady (manager) would not even listen nor would she take my check from an account with another bank I have had for 15 years to settle the account.

She stood up an announced that we should co get cash for an atm and then come back.

I feel just like I was robbed today

I have just experienced the exact same thing with the Debt agency haressing me about $25.72 service charges on an account with Wells Fargo which I closed in Jan 06 (leaving $80.00) but they didn't close (Nov 06) until my money had ran out and then I owed them money?
No letters, phone calls just haressment from a debt agency called ERC.
I want to know how to file a complaint about this company.

Wells Fargo harassing, bullying customer service & phone calls

I have been late on my payment due to personal issues and have tried over and over again to try to find a resolution to this. I've spoken to several customer service rep's, none of who would help me. They were only concerned with getting a payment over the phone. They continually called my house...8 -10 a day until I stopped answering because they wouldn't help me. When I did speak to them they were rude, bullying, be-littling and condescending. On Saturday, March 29, 2008 I spoke to Duane from Wells Fargo. Once again...rude and mistreated me. I started to read about them online and this seems to be a common practice of their tactics on how they treat their customers. Duane told me I was irresponsible and needed to get my act together. At this point I became angry and told him the phone call was now ended because of the way he was treating me. My girlfriend stayed on the other end after I hung up and Duane continued to say Valjean if you want to keep the car don't hang up. Wells Fargo has continually harassed me for 3 months straight. The phone calls start at 8am and do not stop until 9pm...7 days a week. I tried to work with them on this...asking them to refinance me or come take the car. They wouldn't do either. I couldn't afford to get any more upside down in this car at 17.75% interest...I couldn't afford the payments anymore. So my girlfriend on 3/29 made a credit card transfer through Citibank because she wanted to help me because of the stress its been causing our home.
It takes a few business days for it to go through. On Monday, March 31, 2008 I received another call from WFAF. I tried to explain to the guy 3 times that we called for the payoff and paid the loan off. They would not take this answer and kept harassing me for another payment. He asked me where the car was and that I needed to clear my personal possessions out of the car. Then he got a "supervisor" on the phone...who also started to be-little me. So my girlfriend got on the phone upset and let them have it and they got rude back with her and hung up. Now anytime I've ever asked to speak to a supervisor they would never put one on.
Wells Fargo has never sent me by mail any letters regarding this account being past due...even though I've asked them to stop calling my house. They continued to call, call, call, call, call, call call. Quite a few times I've answered and said hello 5 times to no answer so I hung up. I've had it with this company and there has to be some recourse for this type of harassment isn't there?

I purchased a truck in 07 and the loan was under Wells Fargo Auto Finance. It was not until I was 30 day lag-time on payments when the calls started to pour in. I understand the process of collections and even though they call 40-60 times a day, it's their job to collect their money. Here is my problem with Wells Fargo, I worked out a plan to to get payments (including outstanding) within a 2 month window. I gave them whatever I could to make good. I was broke and barely able to eat. 2 days later the calls started again, whatever plan that was created was verbal and it was not noted anywhere in their system. The collections specialists want to scare you into thinking the vehicle will be repossessed, any day now.
I went to another lender to refinance but I am right at the wire of defaulting on this loan. I called "tammy and nicki" in collections to explain my situation but they have ZERO patience for these kind of stories. All they want is the money for Hells Cargo.

So the refi is happening and tammy and nicki are calling me with threats. I have by Friday or else, I am hoping that is the day my new lender cuts a payoff check. If they start the repo process and charge me 5, 000 dollars while they know a payoff is on the way in a matter of hours, I will hire an attorney. WF sucks, they all suck pretty much but WF is the worst, especially if you hit hard times. Explore your options. Peace out.

I have a loan with this company and I go 2 days past the due date and they call me non stop all day long. There has to be something that can be done about this. I understand wanting to collect the money, but I have a 30 day grace period on my loan! Why do I get called 2 days after it is late? STOP THE CALLS!

There is no way to call to speak to an actual human being who can help me. I have been out of work for 2 months and need to speak to someone...ANYONE about payment options for my car loan. Who can help me? There sure are humans who work there to call when you are ONE DAY late with a payment though.

I have requested repeatedly, both verbally and in writing that I NOT be called at work, period. I know I'm behind, I've made arrangements, the calls need to stop or I'm going to lose my job. I've made that abundantly clear.

Wells Fargo Made me accept a Bank Cashiers check in lieu of straight cash, the amt was 20, 000.00
The Check was acidently thrown away, as the Reciept looked exactly like a check and was on top.
In small print it said customers copy
AXX Backwards to start with, and they prob have made a lot of money by making this easy to mix up.
I went to the Bank and ask Wells fargo to place a stop payment on the cashiers check and reissue me a replacement.
First Wells fargo said no problem, we can do it immediatly for .02 percent fee.
Then after 2 hours of paper work and waits, that changed to a 2 percent fee 400.00
I was PO about this out landish fee, and Wells fargo inisted they get this fee up front.
I paid it, and they said I would have a replacement check in a couple days.
A day later they called and said they were refunding my 400.00 and I would have to wait 90 days to get my money back.
Wells fargo then refused to put anything in writing, or provide me a copy of the cashiers check.
I filed on line complaints with the Federal reserve.
After that Wells fargo Fraud dept has shut off my ATM Cards on a dailey basis, they leave only one on
Of course its the one that does not have any funds in that account.
So I am forced to use a card with no funds and get whacked over and over again with 35.00 over draft fees.
I called Wells fargo and complained and ask that these over draft charges be removed, as they were making me use a accout with no funds.
They refused becuase I filed complaints with te FEDS
Is there anyone out there who will assist, I want to file a class action law suit.
This has to be a clear violation of the RICO LAW

Wells Fargo are Loan Sharks! They refuse to give me the title to my car after I've paid the over $22, 000 and faster than what I was suppose to. My contract was for 72months and I paid it in 36months. The dealer where I purchased the car from (brand new) made some major mistakes as far the vin and color of the car. When I tried to explain it to WF they then charged me for both the correct and wrong vehicle by adding this extra insurance on my car note for a car I didn't & never had. They then faxed me this bogus cut and paste contract saying that it was the correct contract like my name was boo boo the fool (as if I didn't have the original copies at home). And tried to say the problem was fixed and resolved meanwhile I was till being billed for insurance for a car I never had! & the money that I paid was never applied to my account. They then had the nerve to tell me that a dealer wouldn't make such a mistake and wouldn't provide me with a registration & vin that didn't belong to me. which is exactly what they did & the dealer is now closed for making such crazy mistakes. Needless to say I stopped paying on the car a little over $22, 000 they even told me that they reported the car stolen. I basically told them I was not giving over a car that I paid over 22, 000 for and that they needed to give me my title and if they wanted the car they would have to take me to court which they refuse to do. (because of their bogus cut &paste contract) It has been about 6yrs since I pulled off the car lot and about 3 years since I made a payment. Most lawyers act like they are afraid to go up against such a huge corporation especially since I'm not trying to kick out a lot of money on one with times being so hard (economy) .Wells Fargo are Loan Sharks! In 2010 my ex husband became unemployed and the truck he drove had my name also on it. In our divorce, it stated he was to get the truck and was signed by a judge. There were several months that he would get behind, but on the due date of each month if not 2-3 days prior, the calls would start from 8am till almost 9pm. He borrowed against everything possible to get the loan paid each month even if they were a little late. They refused to listen about our divorce papers. They harassed me till I would go pay a note for him. They constantly made rude comments and threatened to pickup the vehicle and garnish my wages. They wouldn't work with us on removing my name without having it refinanced. When he requested to refinance the truck, he was told they no longer did vehicle refinancing. On top of that they have ruined my credit even though I was told they would remove the late payments from my name which was a bold face lie! I have called the better business bureau to complain but havent gotten very far with that. My ex finally was able to refinance the vehicle but the emotional stress is still there. There is a law protecting us from this type of harassment. Log every call with times and who you spoke with. Get a copy of cell phone logs. It's time they stop harrassing and show some consideration or understanding. No one deserves this treatment. No one asked for the situation they are in, we are all trying to survive.

Wells Fargo poor customer service!

It all started with me trying to use my debit at target I had ordered food and brought up some groceries to buy. I did not have any cash so I had to use my card. All of sudden when I am purchasing I am told my card is declined. So there I am with the food sitting there and I have no way to pay for it. So I leave Target embarrassed and immediately call the 1-800 number because it was around eight and the bank was closed. The operator tells me that my card has had a hold put on it by the branch manager in hillsboro. So, I ask if she or any of her supervisors there can take the block off the account right now because I need to buy some food. She tells me only the branch manager can take the hold off my account so I need to call the hillsboro branch tomorrow. So I waited till the next day to call the 1-800 number again. When I called I told the lady my situation so she said she would get the branch manger of the hillsboro Wells Fargo on the line for me. When she connected me to the hillsboro branch a manager answered saying that the branch manager would not be in until 2:00. So I told him my situation and told him to tell the branch manager to take the hold off my account once he gets there and if he has any problems doing so call me. Three o' clock comes around and I figure my card is good to use so I use it and guess what it's declined;again. So I call the 1-800 number again and the person who answers the phone says his name and thats it. So I ask him who am I calling and he says Wells Fargo. So I say why couldn't you say "Thanks for calling Wells Fargo this is so an so, how can I help you today." So he then says to me well I figured you knew who you were calling, so why would I say it. I could not believe he could say something like that to me I was shocked; something so simple as a greeting and he thinks I am the one in the wrong. After that fiasco I told him my situation and he attempts to patch me through to the branch manager once again. What do you know he is not there son the service manager at the hillsboro branch answers my call. I tell her my situation and she tells me there is nothing she can do and that she will take a message for the branch manger for me regarding my situation. I must of told her a hundred times I want to take care of this now not two hours from now or the next day. She keeps telling me there is nothing she can do about it. So I ask her well can the district manager do something about this or someone above him because I need to eat something now I have ate nothing for the past day and I should be able to use my card. This whole time The service manager and I are talking she is being very condescending and flat out rude. She even said to me well why is it so important that you have your eleven dollars. So I ended the conversation with her because I was fed up with her rude remarks about my financial situation. In the two minutes it took me to drive from my work Craft Warehouse to the Tanasborne Wells Fargo location the hold was miraculously taken off my account. Even though I was told by the service manager that the branch manager was at a meeting away from the branch. When I get into the Tanasborne branch I close my account. About an hour later after I closed my account the branch manager Bob finally calls me on my cell phone and tells me that he put the hold on my account because I used my DEBIT at a lottery facility four times in a short period of time. SO I say why would you put a hold on my card if I used my debit. He tells me in his experience there has been alot of fraudulent charges revolving around lottery facilities. So I say I do not care I used my debit no one else knows my pin accept me; I could understand if it was a bunch of credit charges. If he would of taken the time to scroll down the page more;while he was looking at my account he would have seen that I have pulled out 4 amounts out of an ATM at a lottery facility numerous times before. So I asked why all a sudden are you going this know and he had no answer to my question just like all the rest of the people I dealt with at Wells Fargo. I can't tell you how many times I called Wells Fargo and the person answering could not give me a proper greeting. It is so simple at my work I never answer the phone saying "Justin". That was what one of the ladies who answered the phone at the hillsboro branch said; "Marilou". That was all she said when she answered the phone. All in all Wells Fargo has the worst customer service I have ever seen anywhere. I have never been so poorly treated as a consumer. What do you know the hold could have probably been taken off the first night I called the 1-800 number. Please take any action possible against Wells Fargo. They should not be messing with peoples accounts like that and they definitely should not be treating their customers like that.

*If anyone who reads this knows anyone in the media please pass it along to them too or maybe even perhaps the FDIC would like to hear about this. Thank you for your time and concern.

Wells Fargo sat on my 7 short sale offers for 3.5 months forcing foreclosure!

Wells Fargo intially miss-calculated my escrow account -- when they corrected it, it raised my mortgage by 1/3 without warning. After a year and a half of trying to keep up with the new mortgage plus escrow, I was forced to try and sell my house.

I found seven (7!) buyers -- one with CASH for my house -- and Wells Fargo sat on the offers for 3.5 months. By the time they finally responded, all of the buyers had gone -- and the their foreclosure department had started the foreclosure process even though it was their own namesake's negligence that caused the delay.

More than three months we contacted them endlessly for a response to our offers on the house, and no response. Even the department dealing with banking is inept -- depositing checks of mine int the wrong account then charging me overdraft fees for their error... to name one instance.

Wells Fargo is simply too big for it's own good and it's us that has to pay for it.

They are doing the exact same thing to me, slowrolling the process, and have been for 9 months! I have has 2 buyers, the first ones dropped out after several months, but the current ones have hung in there since April, or 7 months! Wells Fargo has scheduled 4 foreclosure sales, the latest one for TODAY, and my real estate agent has managed to get them postponed each time; she may not be successful this time, despite the fact we have met all of Un-Well Fargo's criteria for the sale! They operate internally via email, no one can call anyone else, and things get dropped in the process (if you can call it that). We are now at the mercy of some inept account manager who doesn't make it a priority to close a deal! They (Hells Fargo) are making $45000 over the Broker Price Opinion on the house, yet they are only offering the second mortgage lender $3000, when the second only asked for $7900! The real estate agents are offering to make up the difference in order to close the deal! What madness is this? No wonder the loan industry is in crisis, they are run by idiots! The only bailout that should occur is that these idiots bail out and let someone with common sense take over!

working with wells fargo mortgage is a joke. It has been 4 months since we have submitted an offer to buy a short sale home. The price originally was 799K, we bid 650K. The appraisal came in at 675K. Still no response. With the declining market and local trends the price will drop another 50 - 75K. The house is for trustee sale on 9/15. Then it will take 2-3 months to get on the market. It will be november or december which are the slowest part of the year to sell a house. Maybe we should waite and save some money.

Wells Fargo gouging business tactics!

My complaint deals with my small business. I own a restaurant and I accept credit cards. My credit card processing company WAS Wells Fargo. When I got my statement it showed an extra charge of $338.00 for (POS not qualified). I called Wells Fargo to find out what this charge was. The women I talked to was very rude. All she told me was it was an Interchange charge. That when a person uses a Business card or a cooperate card that I get charged more. I could see on my statement where I was charged a different rate for a few interchange cards. So I asked her why I just recently started getting these huge charges and she couldn't answer me. She told me that it had to do with Visa & Master card. I asked her for a phone number to contact someone who could tell me about it. She told me that I would need to send a letter or a fax and gave me the number. At that time I canceled my account.

The next day I was dealing with a company called First National Solutions of Omaha. A women named Tina (One of the nicest, helpful people I have ever talked to) she was helping me get set up for a New Processing Account. I asked her about these charges from Wells Fargo and I faxed her statement from them. Nobody in her company could figure out why I was charged that huge amount. So after I very quickly had my new card machine in place I wrote and sent a Fax to Wells Fargo.
Three days later I received a call from a very rude lady. She stated that I had an $11000.00 dollar charge that was ran through my machine and then voided off. I told her that it had to be a mistake because if I have a charge of $100.00 it is a huge one. She told me it should not have been voided that we needed to call the company and have it deleted off. I couldn't believe it. What in the world would the void button be for. I told her that I was going to check in to it and got her phone number.

One of my employees handled a credit card and made a mistake of putting through a wrong amount of $11000.00 dollars. Immediately the employee voided it off and put through the correct amount. (As it had been this had happened twice within 3 months) and cost me over $600.00. When I talked to my new processing company again and told Tina what the huge charge was and made sure this would not be the case if one of my employees made this mistake again, she said it would not be the case and that Well Fargo could take those charges off if they were a respectful kind of company. With my new processing company when setting up the account they asked what my largest sale could possibly be. Tina told me that if an $11000.00 charge would come in they would be calling me because it would be way over the limit that was set up on my account. She said if I was still a customer of Wells Fargo I might have a chance of getting them to credit me but because I quit them I may have a problem because it is solely up to them to do what they want to do.

I forgot to mention that my fee charge through my new processing company (First National Solutions) is 1.69% or 2.59 % if it is a business type card. My fee from Wells Fargo was 3.79% and more if it was a business card. Also I have just received a letter from Wells Fargo informing me of an increase in my rate.
Wells Fargo has got to be Tooo Big and are gauging their customers. They need to be knocked down a little and start caring about the little guy.

I was sold by a wells fargo sales person to switch to using them for credit card processing It was one of the absolute WORST business decisions I have ever made. They are over three times more expensive as who I was using and they are very hard to deal with. This after they promised they would be the same or cheaper. They also mis led me on several other items. I absolutely CAN NOT stand to deal with Wells Fargo and will never intentionally use them for ANYTHING again. I hate that so many loans get sold to them that you almost have to eal with them if you do very much credit business. They are a bunch of shifty scammers in my opinion.

Wells Fargo's zero percent loan was only zero percent if you paid off the origingal purchase within one year. If you didn't/don't the loan becomes a retroactive 27.99 percent interest! I now owe them $700 in interest on a $1500 dollar loan. So much for zero percent interest! The store that signed me up for this card didn't inform me of this expensive penalty.

The application for the loan (the Wells Fargo credit card) took about five minutes with nothing explained or read. Of course people should read all the fine print all of the time. Or should they be required to?

Something needs to be done with rotton CEOs that encourage this type of fraud.

Just an FYI. Please know banking procedures prior to posting idiotic comments. Your bank CANNOT credit your account if another company owes you money. The credit comes from the company's bank and not wells fargo. And for everyone else, if you paid your bills on time you will avoid the REQUIRED fees and finance charges. If the bank would not charge fees then people would just use their credit cards and never pay. Granted, it is not my favorite bank but knowing banking procedures is necessary. Another thing to keep in mind is who services the credit/debit cards: MASTER CARD, VISA, DISCOVER, ETC. The regulations are actually coming from those companies.

The worst bank in America, a total rip off. I forgot to make a payment on my credit card so they called me. I gladly decided to arrange a payment on a specific date. I asked the customer representative at least 5 times about the available balance after I make the payment. She assured me that once I make the payment, the very next I'd be able to use the card again. Guess what? The payment went through last night and today my credit card account has been closed. I called the customer service and the representative said he could only apologize for misinforming me. Not just one but 2 more reps lied to me and fooled me to make a payment and never disclosed the fact that my account would be closed once the payment goes through.
That's not it. They have charged me at least $5000 in fines and charges since I have opened an account with them. Isn't there any law that could teach them a lesson? Does Wells Fargo only serve rich people? Is it not a bank for middle class or middle-lower class?
Shame on you Wells Fargo, I pity your business ethics. How many more people will have to suffer to get this freaking bank closed? So glad they lost the law suit last year for the over draft fees case.
A request to all the readers: Please do not bank with them. Close your Wells Fargo Accounts. Let them go bankrupt, let them suffer too.

Thanks

I agree wells fargo is a rip off, There was a charge to my account by a merchant, The charge was voided out by the merchant because I cancelled my order, the merchant voided it out imediatly, but wells fargo wil not credit my account untill 3 bussiness days, they didnt wait 3 bussiness days to take the money out of my account, so why do I need to wait 3 bussiness days to get it back? I no because my money is sitting in one of their accounts drawing intrest and they want to get as much as they can from my money. I spoke to 3 customer service agents, and 2 supervisors, the first supervisor gave me the number to their merchants dept and said if the vendor calls the merchant number and speaks to them that my money would be credited imediataly, he did and said they would credit my account imediatly, I waited 40 mins still no credit, Icalled and spoke to another supervisor and he said that the first supervisor gave me incorrect information, and that I would have to wait the 3 busssiness days to get my money back, I dont understand we jump through hoops and do what they say still to end up back in the same place we were when we started. unexceptable ! I will be checking into diffrent banks, my money and time is to important to me to have to deal with poor customer service, bad managment, and a bank that holds your money for their own personal gain, No wonder the world is the way it is, with companies like this the american people dont have a chance !

i also am realizing the carpenters approach (hammered or screwed ever how you look it) to this i have had a wells Fargo merchant accunt
for a few months now.
And ever month it something else i was being charge over $49.00 for a rental machine while waiting on them to reprogram my nurrit machine after 3 mouths they finally told me they do not use that machine any more but look at there web sit they offer the same machine they just wanted to sell me something i didn't need.so i purchased a new machine from them for 250.00 (discounted) so they say if i bought private i would pay 250.00 to have it programed so they got me again the final straw is that they charge my account 3 times for the machine and i have to wait for my money in return i just bought new checks, deposit slips and stamp if not for that i would be gone from that institution. Wells Fargo auto loan payments!

I have been paying on time with in the 10 days grace period that you have when you purchase any auto loan. Well I am taken it now that Wells Fargo does not honor this. I have a auto loan through another company and I do not get harassed like I do with Wells Fargo. The most recent incident happened on 3-14-08 when they called my husbands work demanding that he set up an automatic payment right now even though the check was already in the mail heading to them. The lady was very rude and pushy. I only get paid twice a month so it is not like I can always pay them in advance but I always pay them at least 5 days before my grace period would be considered up. I have to juggle this payment and the other auto payment by paying one before the other. I have never had a late payment on my vehicles! Well after my husband decided to get just as rude and pushy with the lady... he then hung up on her. Now they are calling today which is a SUNDAY only 2 days after they talked with my husband... they are calling my in-laws looking for us. I have had about enough with Wells Fargo! I can understand if we were always the ones with the delinquent account but we are not... never once have we been late with this company... so why are we the ones being harassed here...

i aagree Wells fargo is not a great company that hides things from us. I bought a car 5 years ago. My last payment is july 25 2008, so I call them to day to ask how much is left, they said 2160.00. I said what. they said I have to pay administration fees 500.00 and a buy back thingy at 1000.00. can you imagine my face when she told me that. Here I am thinking I have 500 left to pay and now they say 2000.00. I said what are the adminstration fees for, she said for all the paper work, I said for what sending me my paper of payment each month. wow.
I had to buy it second credit because my first hubby screwed me over, and now they are screwing me over. the car dealership told me I would have to pay only 500 and now she said what you did not read your contract. boy I am mad

Wells Fargo rude customer service representatives!

I call Wells Fargo and tell them that I have a payment on the way to them with bill pay from my bank account. I just called to let them know so they wouldn't have to call to inquire about it. It was Thursday morning. They call me Friday twice and Saturday 3 times to inquire about the payment, which I called them already to let them know. They have different representatives who call all hours of the day and night regardless of the information I give them. To top it off the representatives are extremely rude, will not listen to anything you say, interrupt by raising their voice and drowning my words out. They insist that I make a payment over the phone when I already made one through the bank. Then they threatened to repossess my car when I am only one payment behind. Argumentative when I tell them I kindly I already gave you the information that payment was taken from my bank yesterday, and it should post to Well Fargo the next business day. They want me to stop everything I am doing, go to my bank on line, and give them a confirmation number, know when my next payment is going to be made. etc. They are rude and totally harassing me when I called earlier to kindly inform them of the payment arrangements I have made. I will NEVER answer the phone when they call me again. I know they probably just hired some uneducated people off the street to work for commission on payments posted. But the business ethics they hold is TOTALLY non-existent.

I WILL NEVER USE WELLS FARGO AGAIN FOR ANYTHING, AND I WILL GO OUT OF MY WAY TO WARN EVERYONE I AM AQUANTED WITH THAT THIS IS THE WORST FINANCE COMPANY ON THE PLANET.

SINCERELY,

Wendy Ruth Wyatt

I have never dealt with them for a loan, but, the person who had the phone number I have now must have. They gave me so much information about this woman and told me about her deceased husband and how they believed was a lie. So I went to city hall to vital stats and found out that this gentleman was deceased. I obtained a copy of his death certificate, took my phone bill, along with a recorded conversation with one of their representatives, went to a local office with an attorney and told them to stop calling me with other peoples private information, to stop harassing me, and told them here is this man's death certificate. The women there were appalled at how their own customer service representatives were putting out their clients personal and sensitive identification. My attorney located the woman they were calling my home for, and gave her all info recorded convo as well as the confrontation video of me in the office telling them what harassing ###s they were.

I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH WELLS FARGO FOR THIS REASON ALONE...

I, Vicki McKenna, am 2 months behind on my 2004 Beetle VW payment. I have struggled financially since moving from Atlanta to Sevierville, TN. I called customer service on 3/4/08 and told them I would be making the payments on March 14, 2008 and March 31, 2008. That was fine with them. Today, I get a phone call from Wells Fargo Auto Finance in...

Wells Fargo scam and cheating!

Bought a car in Sept/07 and made every payment to date. Provided my insurance the day of purchase and even followed up with agent. I have been with state farm for 20 plus years. Now in Jan/08 I get a letter from Wells Fargo that I am soon to be charged 1826.00 for insurance. I made contact with agent information was again sent. Then 2 weeks later another letter stating that it was sent to the wrong address. How can that be when it was indeed sent to the address and fax number on their letter? This is my first and last business with this company. I plan to file many complaints and/or lawsuit due to these improper actions. If they are too damn large to find something its sure not my fault. They should never send letters providing addresses and fax numbers that are incorrect. I think it is a way of them making extra money by way of consumer fraud! I place some of the blame on the dealership that arranged the finance because they should know a companies reputation. However they have been notified making them aware of these illegal practices. I want to warn everyone to avoid this company at all costs. As well as any dealer that endorses them as a client. And please fight back to prevent more victims in the future.

I despise Wells Fargo, and everything that it stands for. They are a group of degenerates. After my divorce I took over my X-wife car note, on various occasions I have tried to refinance the vehicle. I was told that the vehicle is worth less than the loan, so i could not refinance vehicle which was fine. But every other month they would call me for my bank information. After giving this information time and time again, they were never able to get it right in so much that they would call me and tell me that I am 3 months behi, and that I had to pay the full amount in order to get out of repo status. Well this happened about 3 times, and they have one more time to screw with me, and it’s a rap. They don’t even have to come pick it up. I would gladly leave on the side of the highway. People-people beware of those parasites. P.S.Cox

I had the same problem with Wells Fargo on more than one occassion. It didn't seem to matter whether it was me or the Insurance Company who faxed them the information they just claimed they never received it. I had numerous problems with them regarding the insurance and twice they added the insurance charge to my loan and then charged me interest on it. After fighting with them for weeks they removed the insurance charge but never removed the interest from the loan. It went on and on. They financed my truck for 17, 900 and after 2 and 1/2 years of payments of $393.00 a month according to their records I still owed them $15, 000. My father was a co-signer on the loan with me and about 2 years in he was killed in a vehicle accident. After that they required we send them a copy of the death certificate to have him removed from the loan. After being out of work for 4 months with my father in a coma and eventually passing away, I was behind on some payments but working dilligently with them to catch up. I was just about caught up when the repo company showed up at my house with an order for my truck. Now mind you just the previous day I had made an electronic check payment to Wells Fargo over the phone and they had assured me that my account was no longer delinquent and I was fine until 15 days later when the next payment was due. I cooperated with the repo company and surrendered my truck to them. Even the repo company said that Wells Fargo was the absolute worst finance company out there and that I should avoid them at all costs and tell my friends the same. Wells fargo took my truck and sold it at an auction i'm sure for roughly $5, 000 and then sent me and my deceased father a bill for balance of $10, 000. They are the most ignorant disresputable company I have ever dealt with. They will never see another penny out of me, so I hope they enjoyed the thousands of dollars they suckered out of me. Thanks Wells Fargo!

i had the same thing happen to my husband and i twice on our account. i phoned wells fargo and told them to come pick up the truck. they have called us 273 times in two months. we are both firefighters and are required to keep full coverage on our vehicles and are inspected by the fire boards. they are so rude and do not know how to speak to a customer. when im on the phone with them they are calling my husbands phone and telling him im lying and i haven't talk to them. now mind you heis next to me and wells fargo is on speaker phone on my phone. never, never, never, again will i deal with them or ever refer anyone or anything to wells fargo. they are a rip off and do not deserve to be in business. and they can read everyones complaints and comments and say whatever they want to try and make a logical reason why the cusomers are at fault, but the truth of the matter is, they are the sad worthless pathedic money hungry trash digging sorry dogs that are starving animals. they are one of the reasons this society is is such an economical turmoil. sorry dogs.

I whole heartedly agree and I have followed your link and submitted my information as well. Because of Wells Fargo and the amounts that they charged and refused to take off even after repeated attempts to show them that we had the insurance they asked for we had the vehicle voluntarily reposessed because we were so far behind with their extra insurance charges and late fee's because we refused to pay the insurance. And of course they couldn't get what they financed the car for. It almost seems as though they do this on purpose and in the long run make more money in charges and fee's because of it. They need to be stopped!
