Recently while browsing i stumbled across a new penny auction site called Wellbid.com. I say new, but they have been operating for a few years and with increasing popularity they are now compatible with most European countries.
I have played many penny auctions before and have a good idea how they work so i decided to give Wellbid a try.
First impressions. A very neat, professional looking site with full explanations and information needed to get you started.
The Auctions . Lots and lots of prizes and a great variation too from expensive high end items to toys and gift cards.
My experience. I made a deposit of €15 and received a first time bonus of 600 bids (normally €20 for 500)
I decided to target some lower price auctions so i bid on a €15 Amazon gift card +200 free bids. I used the autobid and result, i won the auction using about 150 bids. I also went on to win 2 more gift cards worth €15 each so for a first time member on Wellbid i did great. Naturally i lost a couple of more auctions i bid in, but for a €15 stake i was thrilled.
Auction wins. Now here is where Wellbid have a great advantage over other penny auctions. You have the choice to receive your item, exchange it for bids or accept a proposed cash value ( about 80%) paid to your pay pal account.
There is a verification process when you first win so you must submit id proof and proof of address.
I am from Ireland so i also received a phone call for verification, but the lady from support was extremely helpful and once verified i had my money paid to my pay pal within 20 minutes.
Overall i would highly recommend Wellbid.com penny auctions and hopefully they will go from strength to strength..

No matter if it i is a small priced item or large priced item, you are wasting your money on WELLBID!. A good example is: today i was on an auction that unusually had no Smart Bid Feature, so no one can be waiting in the wings. the person i was battling with, on his last bid a new bidder appeared. This sequence happened several times! Over 2000 bids later, i gave up. GUESS WHAT? the item ended straight away. In the meantime, one particular bidder had won 3 large items and i still could not win a bottle of aftershave. It is a blatant rip off

I played this today and I agree that it uses robots/shill bidders. I do know what I am talking about as I learned the hard way on other sites. I was number one on a certain site even surpassing the shill bidders. You soon learn who or what is not genuine and learn to avoid them. There are ways to win but sooner or later you will realise that you are not actually winning anything. The site went bump owing me and my family tens of thousands of pounds worth of items.
On this Wellbid site you can buy the items but they are usually 50% more expensive than you can get them on Amazon or ebay. Then you have shipping on top. On some sites where you can buy the items the amount you have spent on bids comes off the total. Example £10 on bids spent on £100 item leaves you £90 to pay plus shipping. This is still a rip off but they need to make money somehow. On Wellbid £16 worth of bids only knocks around £6 off. AVOID THESE SITES!!!

I have used well bid for a while but today I have been paying attention and have an amazing awareness that, on 1 item some gloves I noticed 5 bots bidding. This became more noticeable when I saw that all their bids never overlapped once!! When one disappeared another auto bid would appear. Took a few photos when I noticed this happening for the 5th and 6th time all only in for 5 bids or 15 max. I must warn if you do use and see the pattern remove your auto bid your not going to win that auction.

They use massive amounts of bots - EVERY USER WITH NUMBERS IN THEIR NAME IS A BOT!!!
Weird user names with random letters and 2 or 3 digits in the end are bots - easy to track!
    U've been warned
    Use your money wisely.

Wholeheartedly disagree with the comment bidrival1 left about wellbid. It's a blatant rip off site that will keep you hanging on to bidding wars against bots. I learned this the hard way. DO NOT TOUCH THEM, YOU WILL LOSE

I want you to warn about wellbid.co.uk website. This company is specializing on auction bids. You can come and take part. Then if your bid was the highest you become a winner. But the problem is that you’ll never receive the product. I think someone should close this company down.
