Wegmans Food Markets Cucumbers

On August 12th I purchased cucumbers for pickling. The next day I woke up to nasty mold covered cucumbers! The gherkin cucumbers that I purchased were fine; the the mini cucks @ $2.99 per pound where AWFUL! They were too nasty to even pick up to return to the store.

Wegmans Food Markets Pricing

I am so disgusted with the price increase at Wegmans since Covid and especially ordering delivery through Instacart. I have complained to Instacart and told that Wegmans inflates their prices for delivery. I am semi-disabled and some days, I have a difficult time getting to the store. Shame on Wegmans for taking advantage of the elderly, disabled and using Covid to raise their prices!

Wegmans Food Markets Coffee

Please don't take this personal and I want nothing. I just wanted to let you no someone fell asleep at the wheel, I shop every week at Wegmans and have recommend it to all my friends, At 74 the one;s I have left. Back to the subsect, I bought a can of Wegmans 100% Arabica ground coffee French roast and it was only half full . Don't no is if was a machine malfunction of someone asleep at the wheel.

Wegmans Food Markets HR Department Chili Ave for overnights in Chili NY

Hello,
the HR department had me in an interview and was asking me questions that I did not feel comfortable answering and had denied my application rudely within 12 hours of my interview and was wondering if they were being bias towards me because of the questions that they had been asking me..

I did not feel comfortable answering this information but felt as if I was forced to do so and this happened 5/13/2021 and today is 5/14/2021 so they had rudely denied my application after intruding on private information that I didn't feel comfortable with anyone knowing so I am wondering if we can speak on "shredding" this information or if we can have a discussion on how we can settle this dispute because I don't even feel comfortable shopping at your store until this is resolved. I feel like the HR department was very rude and I didn't get a fair interview for the position, also that they were bias towards me with the information that they wrongfully gathered.

I feel violated, upset and want answers going forward.

Wegmans Food Markets Check out

I have a medical condition that does not allow me to wear a mask. I shopped and had all my groceries ready to check out and Carole at the emmaus Wegmans in Pa started freaking out while putting my groceries on the belt. My friend was with me. She spoke down to my friend bc she was loading groceries. She yelled at her to stop. Carole then got her manager involved bc she was so scared of my friend. The manager came over with an attitude and started talking down to my friend telling her to stand behind the yellow line. She was behind it. I told them both to not get heated. The manager ignored me and told me friend to stand further away. I said it's fine we can leave. I just thought we could checkout without any problems. The manager said that it's her right to tell us what to do and we can leave. I said we can just leave I guess you don't want our $1000 worth of sales today. She said not a problem. I'm just shocked at the attitude and belittling that went on. We had a wonderful time at the store. I didn't want to get into it but these 2 women had it out for us. Disgusting Wegmans do better!

Wegmans Food Markets Ridgemont Pharmacy employee Merissa

Went there yesterday after surgery for medication That they filled before on 3-16-21. I explain everything to Merissa and showed her a type list of medications I take and that I didn't need refilled. Yet she chose to request a medication I just had refilled 13 days before. I then told it would take 7 to 10 days to recieve my medication yet your instant card is within 2 hours. I am suppose to my medication now. The one she had filled is for 120 pills verus the one I need is 10 pills.

Wegmans Food Markets Frozen lobster tails

Purchased on 03/06/21 at jamestown location 2 lobster tails supposed to be 4 to 6 ounces each.
First they were approximately 6 ounces combined.
The shell was cut which opened the intestinal track and the contents smeared through the clean meat. (spent excess time to thaw and clean properly)
After proper preparation and cooking not only was there unusual smell but poor "lobster" flavor.
Bottom line... At twelve dollars each (figuring weight to cost, over 30 dollars a pound, and only a couple edible ounces) they were the worst lobster tails i've delt with... Ever!
As a chef I must recommend against any such purchase.

Across the street is an aldi's store... Better quality for a fraction of the price!

Desired outcome: Wegmans to take responsibility for over priced poor quality product.

Wegmans Food Markets Himalayan pink salt grinder

Bought this salt in a 10oz. The grinder part works well. You want to know the not-so-great? It doesn't seem to be re-useable.

If it's not, and I have to toss this out, that's a real shame. I bought a Wegmans Coarse Himalayan Salt Refill, and I can't use it. Great.

We all need to be more environmentally conscious, and I don't want to have to buy a separate salt grinder for this. It really is the small things, guys, that makes a difference.

Wegmans Food Markets Fees charged

I ordered 32 items but only 24 were delivered! This is a common occurrence.
Nevertheless, they have the gumption to charge outrageous fees! For the order delivered that came to $123 THEY ADD A TIP OF $7.19, A SERVICE FEE OF 7.19 AND A DELIVERY CHARGE OF 3.99. That means I was charged $19.81 for an incomplete order of $123.

I want a refund of 19.81!

How do these companies get away with this?

Wegmans Food Markets Pork chops and chicken

I was happy to shop at your new location in Harrison N Y,

'Beautiful store with poor quality meat.

Very disappointed in your own brand pork chops and chicken.

I was in your new location on Monday bought marinated chicken breast honey mustard, with all the marinating they tasted like rubber. I also bought center cut pork chops that I had to throw away tonight, the smell was pungent had to sanitize my kitchen counter.The expiration was Sept 17. Two nights dinner in the garbage.

I will never buy meat in your store again. Very over rated meat department.

Wegmans Food Markets Lack of enforcing customer to wear a mask

I viewed a customer at the deli counter ordering I turned because of loud coughing..this man was not wearing a mask...He continued to cough and turned his head into his arm...
I went to the front of the store and asked for a manager as I had seen the person make his way through the vegetable displays and was still coughing..

I was told they could not ask him to leave...I think this is inappropriate and puts healthy people at risk for the corona-virus...I was extremely upset and think you should correct this issue.

Wegmans Food Markets Cashier named Donna

Cashier at lancaster location (donna) freaking out initially because my wife was just over the red line while loading groceries on belt. This kept up till we started to fight back not going to be humiliated by this nut. She walked away and some guy came over with walkie talkie and we complained he insisted he did not appreciate us arguing and stated to ban us from store they started it like we were 5 yr olds who were going to get kicked off the playground... What are you suppose to do stand behind red line till they call you foward like a drill sargeant then what come foward to pay ; you still have to pass by cashier she was just looking for trouble and the guy with the walkie talkie was right on top of us social distancing? Double standard date may 3

Wegmans Food Markets Employees

Some of the employees are hardworking, polite, and professional. I notice no one is sanitizing the carts anymore. Some of the employees are being rude to customers and Instacart shoppers. Some are packing heavy groceries using single paper bags. Some of the employees are trashing the bathrooms. This is taking place at the Wegman's in Brooklyn, New York.

Wegmans Food Markets Pharmacy

I am writing on behalf of my Father, he is 87 years of age. He regularly uses the Wegmans Pharmacy located in Newark New York. (I believe he was there today 04/24/2020) He has asked the pharmacist and their assistants to refrain from putting his change (potentially germ infested currency) in with his and his wife's prescription.

He would like the workers to stop putting money in his prescription bag.

Wegmans Food Markets Rude cashier

I realize that in these trying times we are trying to keep people safe. However, there are always different ways to approach things. This exact treatment happened to myself and my wife last night at the Wegmans on Ridge Road East in Rochester, NY.
My wife 'crossed' the line and the cashier began to berate her like she was a criminal. When we backed up the cashier continued to yell at us to read the signs. Now, I would have liked to know who we were dealing with however, I wasn't able to obtain the name of the rude cashier because she had her nametag hidden under her clothing. We have never experienced such rude treatment from an employee of Wegmans before.
Again, a pleasant tone of voice or a kind, "Excuse me, but in order to keep yourself and myself safe could you please stand behind the line until I call you. Thank you." or is that too much to ask?
Customer service is a difficult task, we know (we're in customer service fields ourselves) however, if you don't have 'it' you shouldn't be in that position.
We are considering never going back to that Wegmans even though it is convenient and in our neighborhood.
Perhaps some employee 'sensitivity' training would be in line or maybe she is beyond training.
One thing is for certain, however: we will NOT go to her line ever again. She was in the first line (which is usually the 7 items or less) and was working at 7pm that night.

I called wegmans on lyell ave in Rochester ny an it was at 11PM . I got off work late .I tried to place an order of a cake the guy that ans phone the just said called back in morning when they opened .I stated to him, I was told that I couldn't do that same day order. I ask him can he put someone on phone that can help me he hung . I ask in the most polite way as possible. All customer the ones on phone are just as important as the ones that come in person. This at person behavior I never experienced at wegmans before until tonight if he having a rough night I pray for him .I suggest he stay away from phone. I called back and said I will be reporting bad behavior which was just hanging up on customer that wanted instructions on how to get service in bakery department wow this pandemic have people rude, more than a little

I had the same type of thing happen to me today in the Canandaigua location with an employee looking at a sheet of paper in front of the dairy products. She wasn't in my way or anything, but when I picked up product that was close to her she scolded me saying, "You really need to say 'excuse me' when you are within arm's reach, so we can get out of the way!"

Wegmans Food Markets Very rude cashier

I realize things are incredibly stressful right now and Wegmans is doing everything possible to maintain safety while still remaining efficient and convenient, but the experience I had today was deeply disturbing.

My wife and I shop every Sunday at the Dick Road Wegmans in Depew, NY. On average we purchase about $250 worth of groceries each week. We were directed to register 8. As instructed, we stood behind the line and loaded the conveyor with our groceries. We had a very large package of paper towels. The cashier, Tonya, barked some order at me to put them on the floor. I stepped forward to set them on the floor so she could scan them. She said something else to me but I wear hearing aids. Since she had a mask on and was looking down to scan items, I couldn't hear anything else she said. I pulled out my card to pay and she literally screamed at me that I was to move back behind the line and step forward to pay when she was finished. Everyone in the lanes on either side of us turned and glared at me. I felt SO EMBARRASED!

My wife asked her to put our ground hamburger in a separate bag. Tonya ignored her, stepped away from the register and was replaced by another girl who proceeded to place the hamburger in the same bag as the groceries Tonya had just scanned. My wife had to tell the new girl FOUR TIMES to put the hamburger in a separate bag before she did so. I was cashed out and stepped out in front of the register to wait for my wife. She was making a purchase for work and had to use a separate business card.

In the meantime, Tonya came back and replaced the new girl. She gave my wife her bag and receipt never saying a word to her.

I have never had an experience at Wegmans like that one and hope I never do again. At the very least, that girl should be written up. At a time when stress levels are high and everyone is frightened behavior like hers only adds to the hysteria. The first thing my wife said to me when we got to the car was "That girl just made everyone around us think you have the virus." Indeed, that's how she made me feel.

While we will continue to shop at Wegmans, we noted her name and if we are asked to use her checkout line in the future we will politely refuse.

This exact treatment happened to myself and my wife last night at the Wegmans on Ridge Road East in Rochester, NY. Wegmans Food Markets buyer beware: the team wegmans-instacart overcharges delivered items (+72.4%)

Wegmans, in association with Instacart, is supercharging their prices. I am a 79 years old, under mandatory home confinement due to Covid 19. I placed an order online with Wegmans-Instacart on 3/30/20 for groceries to be shopped at the Wegmans in Germantown, MD. Instacart delivered on 4/1. They charged $130.64 before tax, where the receipt from Wegmans shows $89.80 for the exact same items. The totals after tax, respectively, are $90.88 for Wegmans, and $156.64 on the Instacart receipt after they added delivery fee, service fee, and tip. These numbers reveal that Wegmans delivery prices are about 45% higher than in-store prices, before any of the Instacart additions. Overall, using Wegmans-Instacart delivery meant a surcharge of 72.4% ($65.76 added to $90.88)!
Note that on its website at https://www.wegmans.com/groceries-online/, Wegmans states "We add a small price increase to cover the cost of shopping your order."
I don't think that a 45% surcharge could ever be considered as a "small price increase" especially if bottom line, the overall additional cost is 72.4% higher than the prices offered in-store.
This is not, technically, gouging but with the ongoing Covid crisis and in an emergency situation, such overcharging is at least chocking, if not illegal.
Buyers staying at home, beware!

You have the most ridiculously absurd policy I have ever encountered at a grocery story, or any store for that matter, relative to sales of alcoholic beverages. My wife and I, who are both in our 60s, witnessed an 80-plus-year-old woman get carded last week. She was purchasing a single bottle of wine, along with $135 worth of groceries. We watched as she fumbled through her cards trying to find her identification. The question is, for what logical reason would you card someone whose 21st birthday was quite obviously a good 60 years in the past... I don't expect an answer to that question because there is NO logical reason to card anyone when there is absolutely no doubt they are much, MUCH older than 21. We too were carded... Somebody might guess my wife and I to be in our mid to late 50s, but no one old enough to sell alcoholic beverages is going to guess us to be younger than 50. First and foremost, your policy inconveniences customers for NO GOOD REASON. It is time not at all well spent, which is definitely not a good model for any business. Carding people who are obviously much older than the legal age to buy alcoholic beverages serves only one purpose: it unites us older folks in the realization that Wegmans is willing to piss off and inconvenience its customers for the sake of a harebrained policy. Try making an effort to be reasonable, like only carding people who look to be under 40, or even 35. The chance of someone looking 20 at age 40 is slim to none. The chance of someone looking 50 to 80 plus and being 20 is zero. Please, step up your game and stop this absurdity. The elderly woman in front of us wasn't happy and nor were we... Is that your goal?

Wegmans Food Markets employees parking in wegman's brooklyn ny location parking lot for customers

I visited your new Brooklyn store and was very pleased with the selection and quality of your products as usual.

However, I was at the store at approximately 6:45 am this morning (before opening time) and observed a few employees parking in the rather small parking lot close to the store entrance.

One employee vehicle was parked in a spot next to the handicap parking and was an old PICKUP TRUCK with TEXAS LICENSE plates LPD 1973.

I have shopped at dozens of Wegmans store due to my daughter being a graduate from the University of Rochester NY.

As you are aware, this location has a small parking lot adjacent to the entrance.

I would like the employees to have the courtesy to let the customers park here not employees. Please inform management.

Wegmans Food Markets snow removal

I have been told that wegmans really takes pride in being a good neighbor to its surrounding residents... I have complained several times about the blowing of snow into a retention pond at night... Now it hasnt snowed in 4 days yet your crew is basically in my backyard blowing snow into a retention pond at 8 at night... Its very loud my wife works nights and is finding it difficult to sleep... Ive never had a problem with wegmans until this year... You really dont seem to give a damn about the people that live by your store... What the hell is so important about blowing snow into this pond anyway... How would danny wegman like to hear loaders in his backyard all night...
