We're pretty sure that if Walmart showed up wayyyy more often on ComplaintsBoard and paid more attention to reviews and complaints, it would lead to better results. But for now, the resolution rate doesn't show successful interaction with customers. We advise reviewers to be careful when communicating with Walmart and be ready for the chance your problem might not get a response. It's also good to start looking for other solutions if your issues aren't fixed as you want.

Walmart reversal of transaction takes 10 days to get your money back

used my walmart moneycard to pay entergy bill, but
i keyed in incorrect zip code . the money was approved
by walmart moneycard, but the entergy matrix
payment center got a decline. when i tried to get
walmart money card to reverse transaction (i had
matrix bill pay fax a document stating they didnt get
an approval ) they said that i would have to wait
10 days for authorization to fall off before they would

Walmart lack of cashiers

They tell you on receipt to go to website and enter to win gift card due to your shopping experience there. Well there apparently is no site so this ia a scam. But I will tell you I would rather take a "beating" than go to the store here in town! It is not well stocked and the people they have working there are rude and very unhelpful when you asked for help finding something. I worked there many years ago and quit but I was trained a lot different than they are today.

Walmart charging when my card isnt being used

I purchased a walmart moneycard a few months ago. I haven't used it in awhile. But, they keep deducting from it for some reason. I had put money on it to purchase a ticket, but, ended up using it for something else. I'm afraid if I was to put money on it, it will be deducted off, because my balance is saying -$9.01, I think. It's not right that you purchase a moneycard from walmart, & you use it as needed, & yet when you don't, you get charged. Then, when you go to add money onto it, it gets taken off for not using it.

"my balance is saying -$9.01"
Guess what: You owe Green Dot money.
And they WILL send you a bill.

They charge a monthly fee of $3 whether or not you actually use the card, and whether or not you choose to load money on to it. If you don't want to deal with the fees, pay of your balance, and cancel the card. Don't just ignore your problem, and assume they'll forget about they money you owe them.

To the other commenter:
"I suggest everyone that bought one should contact their local Attorney General and report this place."
Report, to your local Attorney General, that a nationwide company is charging you a fee for allowing you to use their services, as stated on the card's packaging. Your local Attorney General would likely laugh at you.

"I will stick with the Bank card and pay a dollar more and not lose money."
I'm confused. Do you mean opening a debit account? They charge fee's too for certain services such as overdraft protection. They also tend to charge fees if you account goes below a certain amount (usually $200)

If you meant a Prepaid Visa Giftcard, like they sell at Walmart, then yes, they are about $1.50 more and don't charge fees...but they aren't re-loadable, usually can only be purchased at a fixed amount of either $50 or $100, and don't offer any protection at all if your card is lost or stolen. Oh and did I mention they charge a monthly fee after the 13th month of having the card if you haven't spent it all.

Companies charge fees for providing services, they aren't gonna be nice and let you use them for free and bankrupt their company.

Right on! This is a bad gimmick. I purchased a card and paid $3.00 at the store, came home to use it and another $3.00 was taken off. When I called about it, the man said it is maintance fees. What the hell. I will stick with the Bank card and pay a dollar more and not lose money. Money is hard to come by and this place is not helping. I suggest everyone that bought one should contact their local Attorney General and report this place.

Walmart ripped me off

I bought a 400 dollar Playstation 3 at Wal-Mart in Plymouth MA yesterday. I got it home and noticed it was scratched. I went to return it and they wouldn't accept it, accusing me of switching an old broken one for a new one and trying to return it. Not the case at all.

Not only were they rude but they acted all high and mighty and treated me like a thief, escorting me outside, where there was a police car sitting there. I left without incident and went home.

I plugged the system in when i got home and it doesn't work. So I went back with my mother and grandfather today. New managers on duty, but same result. The serial number inside the machine doesn't match the box so they will not accept the return. They were much more polite with a few middle aged people present but still turned us away.

The next step is to contact the Wal-Mart corporate office, and the Sony corporate office. My advice to all people is to not shop at Wal-Mart and whenever and wherever you buy something expensive, open the item before you buy it and don't make your purchase there if they won't let you. I might be out 400 dollars with little to no recourse.

I've returned two items to the Plymouth Walmart, and what should have been a simple return each time turned into a PITA. The bleached blond, leather faced obvious 5-pack a day smoker "woman" working each time was a miserable, mean disgusting excuse for a human being.

I received my money back each time, but c'mon. In this economy places should have their pick of decent employees.

Customer service in California Walmarts,
San Leandro, CA rated an F for failure and refusing to take merchandise back. Recommend you take a tape recorder and record what the associates says because you are SOL after you walk out of the store. They also do not match prices with store 600 feet away from them. The management and associates need an to be trained again.

Union City, CA Will not match prices with local stores after showing them sale items from the competition. Great bait and switch company.

Fremont, CA Will not match prices with local stores after showing them sale items from the competition. Great bait and switch company.

Fremont, CA prices at this Walmart average about 5% higher than the other Fremont store 5 miles away. It was explained to me that the people in this neighborhood could afford to pay higher prices.

As a business consultant and trainer to big and small companies I must now admit that my experiences over the past 2 months have shown me that WalMart should change their slogan to WHEN YOU WALK OUT OF THE STORE YOU ARE SOL. ### OUT OF LUCK.

ANY FUTURE VISITS TO WALMART WILL BE DONE WITH A VIDEO CAMERA TO RECORD EXPERIENCES BOTH GOOD AND BAD.

Sincerely

Walmart rudeness by staff member

I waited the requisite 1/2 hour, returned to the Pharmacy, and was told I needed to wait at least another 1/2 hour. I returned after the "second" 1/2 hour, only to be rudely pushed aside by a man who decided he wanted to get ahead of me.

I said, "Excuse me, I was first". The Pharmacist, although he heard what I said, went right ahead and waited on the man who had sidled up ahead of me. I interrupted, saying, "I was first in line", and the Pharmacist ignored me.

After the so-called gentleman left, I asked the Pharmacist why he been so rude. He ignored my query and said "Date of Birth". I asked his again why he had ignored me, and he said "Last name".

Deafness I can tolerate. Rudeness I cannot. I am switching all of my prescriptions to another store and will eventually not be subjected to their nonsense.

I have in the past patiently waited over 2 hours for my prescriptions. Customers waiting with me have shared their horror stories of Hamburg, NYs McKinley Park store. They all have had their share of the Pharmacy staff''s rudeness and inefficiency.

I hope never to set foot in a Wal Mart again.

Walmart letting drug addicts and dealers work in the store

After some research, I have come into some knowledge that was quite disturbing and really scary as a consumer. I would like to trust and know I am safe in the places I choose to spend my hard earned money. I found out that the Bristol Walmart is allowing drug transactions to take place in their parking lot and employees to do drugs and then go into work. I saw this with my own eyes and was horrified and never shopped there again. I am saying this as an honest citizen who would shop there. Not anymore. I saw the car that this was taken place in a tan/light grey plymouth shadow with a very skinny girl and very dirty, scary small guy fighting with each other outside the store and then smoking, I believe it was crack and then she put her apron on and went in the store. I could not make out her name but she worked third shift apparentely. I was leaving when the store was closing at 9:30-9:45 and she was going in at 10pm. I will find out her name but will never shop there again. Beware of people in Walmart because they are stealing to support their habits and may steal from you!

Walmart wal-mart automotive sucks - 2004 chevy trailblazer 4x4

Wal-Mart Automotive Sucks - 2004 Chevy Trailblazer 4x4

We took our car a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer to Walmart for it's regular oil change and vehicle checkup.During the checkup it came to our attention that the transmission dipstick had been broken off and they could not check the fluid in the transmission. They said they did not do it and that it most likely happened the oil change before which was also at a Walmart. At that time we ask Barry Byrd if it was okay to drive the vehicle and he said yes.One week later the transmission locked up and had to be towed to a transmission specialist who said the faleure was do to lack of fluid in the transmission. We feel that in fact the dipstick was broke off at the previous oil change by a walmart employee and he simply got rid of that part of the dipstick and signed off on the transmission to relieve himself of blame not telling us the the stick had been broken and unable to check the fluid. If he would have informed us of this issue it could have been solved with out the $2900 cost for a transmission rebuild. We filed a claim with CMI (Claims Management Inc.)Phone # [protected] (we dealt with a Barb there who was rude talked down to us and even called the mechanic at the transmission shop a liar and that the transmission had to have a leakage issue and she would have to deny the claim he explained to her that there were no leaks and it was a walmart topping off issue. When CMI received the statements from the walmart fluid checkers not mechanics (which barb at CMI called them) they had changed the statements made and told her that they never told us it was okay to drive the vehicle and did not recall placing blame on the previous Walmart oil change. We went to our Attorney's office on 2-27-09 and are in the process of suing Walmart and CMI.Please take our advice and never let Walmart fluid checkers touch your vehicle as the internet shows that they have more complaints than praises. This will be taken to the next level and will make it a life long goal to expose Walmart Automotive.

Consequences. Describe the economic or physical damage that resulted.

Transmission cost $2900
3 weeks without the vehicle
Treated like a idiot and lied to.

It's not they are bad mechanics cause some of them actual do know what they are doing WHICH IS AT EVERY JOB IN THE WORLD. Dont lie to yourself. But really how many people come into any auto shop and actual know about their own car? 1 in every 100 people sounds about right. How many people are so money hungry like you who have cars that they dont know about try to have a big law suit against walmart so they can buy a better car and have it treated the same so everything can break down in it again. GROW UP. Honestly if you would just have talked to them and said all you wanted was a new dipstick and transmission flush or pan then you would have got it. It's so EASY it fix stuff but yelling and screaming dont get you anything and dont say you didnt.

Sorry, Erin, it's just a pet peeve of mine. I have always said that in order to get a drivers license you should be able to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle. Checking air pressure, changing oil and filter, air filter, etc. You should also have to have a basic understanding of what makes a vehicle tick. That way no one would be able to screw you if you had to bring it somewhere to get it worked on. Every time something goes wrong with my truck I learn something new. Same with my motorcycle. Most recently on it I changed out the coolant. That was a hell of a job that took me several hours when it should have taken me one hour tops. I got the service manual, printed out the pages I needed, and went to work. Did it go smoothly? No. Did I save myself about 200 dollars in labor? Yes. Do I now know how to do it myself? Yes. Will it go smoother next time? It should.

I've been shown how to change and tighten the belts, how to change out the EGR valve, I changed my own spark plugs (a child could do that), rotated my own tires, etc etc. It can save you so much money its worth the time and effort to learn.

If you're that disabled then you shouldn't be driving because after all, it is up to YOU to keep your vehicle in top mechanical condition because when you break down and are stopped on the side of the road you are a hazard to everyone on the road. It is not Wal Marts job to make sure it's done right, its yours. And if you don't have a clue how its done, how are you going to make sure its done right?

Sure, crap breaks. I know that. You can't prevent all break downs. But you can prevent MOST with just a little bit of mechanical know-how. I'm a federally licensed airframe mechanic and so I've gone to school for years to learn how things work mechanically. However, I'm learning airplanes, not cars. I had to teach myself automotive maintenance. You could easily save enough money over a 2-3 year period doing your own basic maintenance to your car to buy yourself a brand new HD TV. Or easily an Xbox or Wii. The savings add up quick!

If you think it's ok to drive a vehicle with a broken off dipstick (where do you think it went if it broke off? unless the piece is handed to you, WHERE DO YOU THINK IT WENT?) then maybe you were treated correctly.

Learn to do your own maintenance! I do it all, and it saves me THOUSANDS! You can buy your oil and such from Wal Mart, but do your own maintenance! Do you really think the best mechanics are working at Wal Mart? Good grief!

Walmart walmart pre-paid card

I purchased a wal-mart pre-paid card and the sales clerk did not explain that we had to keep our reciept in order. To activate it. I can't find my receipt and now how do I activate it. Does this mean I lost out on $100.00? Not only that but I called the customer service and there a joke to nobody wants to help without the receipt. I want my money back. I should have just purchased it at h. E. B I would have been garunteed my money without my stupid receipt. I will never use this card again and I think it's just a scam.

Give me a break! Customers have go to to start taking responsibility for their purchases. There is no way that one could explain each and every policy with each and every purchase. I would think that a person could hold on to a receipt for a minimum of 24 hours. By the way, if you knew which register, which associate and the approximate time, they could have looked up the transaction and printed you a duplicate receipt!

I can vouch for you on that one. I too had purchased a Visa Pre-Loan card for my son, for his b'day and they did NOT tell me I had to call the phone # to activate it.

BUT...I did find out about the phone # activation, because I asked the clerk to make sure there was the $500.00 on the card and she didn't know how, because it was sealed. So I went to the customer service counter and that is where I found out about the activation number.

Your right, they should have told you about it.

Walmart poor managment

I worked for Wal Mart in Glendale for a year. My work record was great. Not one write up. Then came a old manager, but new
CSS.
They preach about integrity witch is something I have lived
my life to protect. I feel without it what do I have to offer
anyone. Well I guess this manager didn't see it that way.
She wanted employees with casher numbers to sign on to reg.
even if they were not working registers. This would make her
look good and put us on the line for theft.
To make a very long story short she along with many other
so called MANAGERS are no longer there. Now I am working
to get my job back.

I worked for Wal Mart and the procedure typically is, you go on
line place your order. Then they ship it to the store you choose.
When it gets to your store they call you. Then you pick it up and
pay there. That way everything is accounted for and no more
money chasing.

Why is it now that Wal Mart is hiring employees that cannot speak English? My wife and I are tying to shop for things and when we ask an employee, they can't speak any English? I know that there are MANY people that are applying for employment and are Americans that CAN speak English...why does Wal Mart hire them knowing that their customers are English speaking mostly. If they want to hire some that are bi-lingual, I have no problem, but do not hire non-English spkeaking employees for on the floor.

After my father and I purchased a 800 dollar computer we proceeded to speak with employees. William a sales associate was very helpfull. My father was in his U.S. Army Uniform and another employee was friendly and we gave him a recruiters card. I myself was in a suit and tye and have shopped there on many occasions. We then proceeded twoward the jewelery department to look at watches. We looked at a watch and a lady came to assist us. She had hair which would fall down to her shoulders and it was up in a pony tail. We asked her for a price on a watch because it was not labeled properly. We then asked to see the watch which was located inside the locked glass jewelery cases. She got it out and RELUCTANTLY handed it to my father. He showed it to me up close as she looked us over thouroughly and looked mad and wanted it back quickly. We hardly had enough time to look at it. It was very rude of her to insinuate that we were or are shoplifters. My father an myself were extremely upset.

I have often been in other Wal Mart stores and would like to
know how come they can be neat and clean with shelves stocked. I was at Unicity the other day and it was sorta the last straw. I counted 27 pallets down the row between womens
clothing and the nightwear. That was not the only row that
had pallets, carts, etc. there was unpacked stock, empty boxes,
all over the store. In the past when you asked for help you got
help not a point in the general direction, what staff is there is
trying to unpack so that they can get stock on the half empty
shelves. The seasonal area is a complete mess, I know it takes
awhle to change but this is too much! I don't understand why
no one checks the stores. When I worked retail we often had
visits from head office, SURPRIZE ones. I am tired of having to go to other stores because of empty shelves and no help.

I just don't understand why it is that wal-mart employees have no concept of customer service or that without the customers who come to their stores then they would not have a job.

I can not tell you how many times I have wanted to ask a question and been interupted by an employee or been walking down the isle only to have a stocker with a large cart of frieght damn near run me down to get where they are going.

I know you have a job to do and even if you are a simple stocker your very first priority should be the customers.

I wont go to another walmart as long as i live... until they get some decent training for their people.

hello target folks!here I come!

I was employed By Gainey Transport Services as an Over The Road Driver. I often stopped at Wal Marts as their parking lots tend to have parking for 18 wheelers. I went in the Wal Mart down the street from our terminal. I'm wearing a pair of mesh basketball shorts and a Sponge Bob tsirt. I buy a pint of ice cream and a rotisserie chicken. After I paid I told the cashier that I had forgotten to check the automotive clearance section. The reason I mentioned this was I thought if they wanted me to leave the bag with my purchases up front they would probably tell me. Since the cashier didn't say to leave my bag I figured it was no big deal. I went back in the store l***oked around the automotive and returned through the line 10 minutes later. When I got to the front past the registers an elderly female employee asked me if she could help me. I held up my bag and replied that 'I think I found what I wanted.' I then proceeded to the entrance and another employee asked me what register I checked out at. I remembered it was 14 as the store was not real busy early AM. I exited the store and as I began to walk past the rear of my trailer I saw an animated conversation between 3 employees in front of the store. I thought this odd at 1:30 AM and wondered if they thought I had taken something. I got in my truck, started it up and released the air brake. At this time a vehicle approached my truck from each side with a weird siren which caused me to wait and see what they wanted. One of the Wal Mart Security jumps out and yells at me'Get out of the truck'. I ask why? He repeats the request but still has not not fied me why. I let the truck roll forward 6 inches and he pulls a gun out and aims it at me. He tells me to get out of the truck again and when I comply he than yells I need to show him my hands. I told him to make up his mind since to exit the truck I needed to open the door. He then said he would open it for me. He is still pointing the gun at me and three times I tell him do not point that gun at me. I know if it goes off and I'm not guilty of anything he will have to come up with a lie or go to prison. Remember my only crime was being a wal mart customer and wearing shorts and a tshirt I have no place to conceal a firearm. I then ask him why he has pulled a gun on me and detained me and he says three people said you stole something to which I reply 'Am I under arrest?' He says no and I say I'm leaving then. He tells me I can't leave and puts handcuffs on me. He starts to go in my 18 wheeler and I tell him that this truck has a sleeper on it and he does not have my permission and needs to get a search warrant. The only reason I know this is I worked store security years before and I know there are certain laws you must follow to not violate a persons rights in order to win a conviction if they did steal something. He gets the bag withmy purchases and asks me where my receipt is. I tell him it is in the bag as it was but it was in my wallet in the bag. He then goes back into my truck and finds another Wal Mart bag with a receipt from a North Carolina Wal Mart. He looks at the N.C. receipt and is confused. Now he takes me into the store to parade me around in hand cuffs by the registers. I'm a 47 year old white male who does not steal and now I am some kinda pissed. I say in a loud voice for everyone to hear' OK which one of you said I stole something'. None of the employees will look at me and they seem to scatter like cockroaches. The officer then takes me into a room with a bunch of video recorders for store monitoring. I tell him I don't want any of these tapes erased as they are now evidence. At this poin t a youn g white man enters the room and asks me which register I checked out at. I again tell him 14 like the 1st guy. He returns in a couple of minutes and tells the Wal Mart Security Guard to remove the handcuffs. I then grab my wallet pull out my receipt show it to him and explain that I'm going to make sure this does not happen to another Wal Mart customer. False imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon and illegal detention because they imagined I took something. I contacted three lawyers in the Dallas area and they would not take the case. I figured it was a slam dunk with all the video cameras to prove my innocence. I forgot where I was. If they can murder a President in Dallas what is a little civil rights violation. The funny thing is when I tell this story people often chime in with their Wal Mart Nightmare story. Thank You for shopping at Wal Mart!

I received a Visa Wal Mart debit card as a gift and I truly could not believe what I had to go through to activate it. First of all, they never told the person who purchased the card that they needed to send me the receipt for a number that was on that receipt to activate the card - it was impossible to get a live person on the phone to help me.
She finally found her receipt and I proceeded to try again to activate the card and could not believe ALL the information they wanted from me - this was a gift and I have no intentions of adding any more money onto this card. I am spreading the word never to buy one of these cards from Wal Mart - All I know is that when I use this card will make sure I use the full amount on the card and be done with it!

I purchased a Wal-Mart gift card for my father. Fortunately I kept the receipt. When he tried to activate it on their automated system, he was asked for a lot of personal information so he hung up a brought it to me. I called the number to try and activate the card. I had the activation number and the receipt number. The automated system is a phising scheme to get you to provide all of your personal information. At no time does the system say you do not have to provide this information to activate your card. It aks for your: name, complete address, phone number, date of birth, social security number, cell phone number and provider, and email address. I kept yelling no into the phone until the automated system routed me to a person, who also tried to imply that I must provide all of this information. I was furious. They want to send a re-loadable card and try to force you to get it by providing this personal information, before they will activate your card. I was finally, after 45 minutes able to get his card activated without providing all of this information. This is a phishing scam designed to get you to rpovide enough information to have your identity stolen. I am furious, but cannot get a real person on the phone at Wal-Mart to cpmplain.

Walmart give them money you cant get yours

I needed to pay a bill on line, so I took the last 25.00 I had to walmart and added it to my RElOADABLE VISA. GUESS WHAT Walmart gave me a reciept with a beginning balance an ending balance, a reference code, an approval code, but I have no money on my Visa. I have spent a total of 6hours at this point trying to get to my money. I have talked with many different people and they all appologize and say this will be handled within the next business day. I have explained over and over that I dont need the money tomorrow I needed it last night when I as supposed to have immediate access to MY money. They will not allow me to talk with a supervisor or give me any answers on why my money is not showing on my card.I asked one of the many people I have talked to who is going to pay me for all the time I have missed from work trying to resolve this problem, the answer I got was they will credit my card the $4.95 monthly fee. I asked how they were going to add that to my account if they couldnt add the money I gave them. This is what is wrong with America today, we spent our money locally but we have to deal with people who cant speak plain english to resolve any problems. They dont know what the problem is but they are sorry and they are working on fixing it. How ARE THEY GOING TO FIX IT IF THEY CANT TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS! So I am still wasting my time sitting here waiting on my money loosing money by not being at work waiting on their supervisor to call me back. Donald Greene

this is a [censor]ing joke, all you get when trying to reach someone in customer service is a [censor]ing east indian who care barly speak english, with [censor]ing kids yelling and screeming in the background i am disappointed that walmart would associate themselves with this 3rd world trash and suggest that all frustrations be taken out on walmart in any way possible be it a terroist attack or worse.

I totally agree. I refused to hang up without talking to the supervisor. After about 8 minutes he came on the line and I will be honest with you, he didn't help anymore than the idiot lady I spoke with first.

Walmart product care plan

Purchased TV and 2yr service plan 7/29/2007. on 12/20/2008 the TV quit. I called the product care plan 24 hr service phone # listed & was told I would get a call from the repair service in a day or two. since I had not heard any thing yet, on 12/22/08 I called again only to find out my first call had not been acted on. They even had my address as Bosie, Idaho.(never been there) I then received a call on 12/23/08 that a repairman would be there the following Wed. in the A.M

(12/24/08) but none showed up. I called again that late afternoon to find out the service call was scheduled for Wed. the 31st of Dec. and I would receive a call to set up an appointment time. The repairman called that morning to let us know he would be here in 15 min.(NICE NOTICE) The repairman told us the "power supply" was bad but he would have to order it and he would be back the following week to intall it. Today is Jan 19th and still without a TV. Wal-Mart is good at giving the run-around.

We purchased a Vizio tv from walmart in June of 2007, the set quit working the 1st time around May 2008. It took approx 2 weeks for a repair shop to call and tell me what was wrong with my tv. They never came by (Pratigan Technology in Douglasville, GA), when they did finally arrive 4 weeks after service call they ordered the wrong part. They then had to take my television and they could either bring it back in 2 weeks or I could drive 2 hours and pick it up in a week. We chose to pick it up. The whole process Repair Now did not follow up or call to let us know what was happening, I had to make every call to find out the progress. Finally after 6 weeks of no TV we received our TV back in working condition.
The TV quit working again on Nov 15, 2009 still under warranty. Again called to place a service claim. I was told I would receive a box to ship my TV to a repair facility and would receive it back with 2 weeks. About a week later, I called back, and was told the process changed and they were trying to find another repair shop. After another week of waiting I called to find out progress, and was told they had given up on finding a facility and were going to send me another TV. The next day a repairman calls to see if he can come by in the afternoon to look at the TV. I agreed, and 30 minutes after he left, I received a call from Repair Now. They were letting me choose another TV, and cancelling the repair. I was then told the TV was out of stock, and would be receiving a refund check in 7 to 10 days, this was on Dec 8, 2009. It is now Dec 21, 2009 and I still don't have a TV or check to buy a new one. I called tonight and was told they had approved the check and it would be mailed after the 1st of the year, and that I needed to refuse a tv that was shipped in error. I called the girl a liar for telling mail only went out one day a week. I called a few minutes later and got a different "supervisor" who told me checks went out the day they were cut and the check would go out tomorrow, and that mail went out daily.
Anyway, I know this is a very long comment, but I want people to know the kind of service to expect from the warranty.

Nope... blame NEWCorp. They are most likely the administrator of the warranty contract. Good luck trying to talk to a human being to complain, they LOVE to play "push the number and wait" game.

Walmart unauthorized billing

I was sent a cashier's check in the amount of $1250.00 from a Woodforest National Bank located in Houston Texas. A letter was attached to the cashier's check informing that i had been hired to participate in a customer service survey at Walmart's money gram counter. I was supposed to keep $200.00 for conducting the survey, after completing a survey report and forward the remaining money to a Lola Grunden in Toronto Canada. This sounded like a scam so I immediately went online to see if other people are being scam or by this new scheme. I hate all the scams that are conducted online and desire to fightback.

Walmart ruined my hair

I went in to get my hair trimmed. The girl that cuts my hair was not there. This person comes up to me after signing in and stated that the girl that I wanted to cut my hair was off that day. Me, thinking everyone in here is a professial, let her cut my hair. She ask how do you want it cut. May I state that it had taken me over three years for my hair to grow to one length with the back a little shorter. I stated just TRIM the back, feather bangs and maybe thin it a little. Same thing I had been saying for years. She trims the back and then turns me away from the mirror. After cutting, blowing drying and putting about three different products on my hair. She turns me toward the mirror. It was horrifying. My hair was cut all over in 1 -2 inch layers, bangs cut straight across, and the back so short it looked like a guys cut. Oh, but she left the sides just about a inch shorted than when I came in. I cryed for a week. This person cannot take directions and sure cannot cut hair. And has no business working in a salon.

My daughter had a terrible experience with smart styles we go in and she tells the lady she wants a trim, make it to where its just below her shoulder, I thought that there would be people working there with experience and not getting trained, the lady cutting her hair was not experienced she had another lady helping her, I thought to myself lets give her a chance, but the more they cut the more I noticed they were using my daughter as a guinea pig, so when they called the lady I think was suppose to be the supervisor over to help, I stood up and told them I was not paying for this you ladies have cut my daughters hair shorter than what she wanted, the lady that was helping the trainee spoke up and started getting rude saying you gonna pay me, my husband said no we are not and we all left and went into wal-mart to do our shopping, they didnt have what we were looking for so as we were walking out of wal-mart the lady that was helping the trainee approached before we could get out of the store and followed us out in the parking lot threating us wanting to fight, and whats so sad this lady will still have her job cutting peoples hair and my daughter has to walk around humiliated for the way they cut her hair, needless to say she cried for hours after we got home that day.

I went to my smart style salon and asked for a pixie cut ( I came there with about 5 inches of hair ) and the woman cut all my hair at about half an inch or less in some areas. I am BALD. I am having a hard time coping with this and I am working with the manager of the salon for a refund. Anyone want to discuss this you can reach me at www.myspace.com/shannon_henson
I posted before and after pictures here, I had to dye it a dark color to make my hair look fuller...

Most salons have the practice of giving their clients a change if they are truly unhappy with their hair cut. If it hasn't been to long since the hair cut, try calling in and explaining your problem to see what they can offer you.

Walmart double charged

I mistakenly swiped the wrong card while paying for my purchase. I caught my mistake and did not sign the authorization. I was told by the CSR (who was quite rude) that the transaction could not be backed up and I would have to recheck the order on the next register.

I ended up with smashed groceries (which they did offer to replace if I drove the 12 miles back to the store) and the transaction charged to both cards with an overlimit fee assessed on one. The CSM told me that I had authorized the charge to the card as soon as I swiped it. I believe that my signature is required for the charge to be authorized.

I never signed the authorization. Should I press fraud charges against Wal-Mart? They told me it will take 2 weeks to refund my card, but it was charged on the first business day.

Once the card is swiped and the signature bar shows up, you have crossed into the land of no return. Transaction can't be stopped. Once you swiped, you petty much authorized the charge, signature or not. You don't sign online, either, but the charge goes through. By the way, reversing the charge can take 7-.10 days. That's not Walmarts policy, its the credit card company

Walmart bad service

Today on January 3 around 8 pm, I went to your store for an exchange of an gift set. Well the item I was returning, price was reduced. I told the tall male customer service person that I was willing to keep the item if I got a price adjustment. The guy said okay. Then I told him, that the rest of the items on the receipt were in my car and could I do the other items that I had bought a week earlier. He said "yes!" Well, I go to my car and come back 20 minutes later and got another customer service rep. Well, I told her I just want to do a return and buy back. She asked me who said I could do this. I pointed to the guy next to her. He told her "he did." She takes the item and goes two different people. She comes back with an female African manager. I asked "what was the problem?" She said, that I could not return the items because they were holiday items. (Vanilla Lotion & Soap gift set). I asked " Where on this receipt or on the board above me, that it said that?" She said, "It has always been that way. I told her, that I just did it 5 minutes ago, and someone else approved it, why was the process changing now. They said the other guy did not get it approved by a manager. I told the argumentative manager "Since I was getting bad customer service, then I could return the items with a receipt since she was refusing to give me price the adjustment!" She storms off, in an angry tone saying "I will not allow it!" Then I told short female customer service rep that computer allowed a price adjustment without a manager, why do we need to discuss it with the manager. She goes on and says that the guy next her was new. I told her "I didn't care, the computer allowed it. What's the problem?" I was so upset with the bad customer service, I told her to return all the items and the items I was about to purchase I left them in the store. In addition, I told her that I guess the customer isn't always right at Wal mart" I thought Wal mart and I was going to have a good relationship since, the store moved. I wanted to stop shopping at Target. I had never had this bad of service at Target. Therefore, I would like to know, what is Wal Mart's problem. Sorry, I didnot get their names, but I am pretty sure, you can just check the schedule to see who was working at that time. Wal mart needs to post their rules or stop disrespecting innocent customers.

Wal-mart took my funds as well and I am more than furious after dealing with them for hours on the phone today!

My husband and myself, recently laid off. Mother (who lives out of town and was visiting for the day) purchases pre-paid card for us to get some groceries, etc for things we needed immediately for us and our kids. I go online to activate card and am told activation was stopped and to click button for refund. Instead of clicking refund button I called the activation number on the pre-paid card. After going through the entire process again over the phone I am transferred to a call center rep @ 24/7 call center services. The rep explained to me that there was an issue because I have had 2 wal-mart prepaid cards in the past. One using my first name and the other my middle name. (I go by my middle name) On some documents, cards etc, I have to use my full name and did so for the first card. They even confirmed my full name by stating that it was on their records. I then provided her with my address, phone number, SOCIAL SECURITY Number and the activation number off of my Wal-mart receipt along with the pre-paid card number. I am then told I could have my card activated but had to fax them a copy of my DRIVERS LICENSE. This sounded absurd to my husband and myself but they had our money. So having just a few dollars to our name, we had to go pay to have my license copied and to have it faxed. I then call the company back and cannot reach a live person. I had to go through the activation process again just to reach a custoner service rep. When one finally gets on the phone, I am told my card still CANNOT be activated because I did not fax them a copy of my SOCIAL SECURITY CARD with my drivers license. I explained to her that the first rep, "Melinda" DID NOT tell me I need to provided my SS# Card and that I absolutely refused to do so anyway as this was only a pre-paid card. WE GAVE THEM MONEY! I asked if the card could be registered in my husbands name or even mothers as she purchased it and I was told NO. I explained to her that there was nothing more I could provide as they had everything except my blood. I gave them a copy of my Drivers License, they have my SS#, my current address, my previous address, phone number, activation number and card number. What more would I have to do to get MY OWN MONEY back to me. I then asked to speak with a supervisor. After 15 minutes on hold, I began to speak with a supervisor (Heidi) who pretty much sounded like the second rep (Meline) who I had just been speaking with. I explained to her that this was ridiculous, it's a pre-paid card and that I have the receipt in my hand showing where we purchased from them and they have OUR money. I told her I felt like they were stealing from us and that after sending a copy of my drivers license and now them wanting a copy of my SS# Card that I was very weary of their company. I was told it was "Federal Law" to request those items. She then informed me that at that point they wouldn't even except a copy of my SS# card if I were to send it to them. She then told me she would mail me a refund and asked the address to mail it to. I told her I (my mother) made a purchase, they had our money and I wanted the card activated today. She kept refusing and kept asking where to send the refund. I then told her I would contact her back tomorrow after speaking with my step-brother who is an attorney and she stated that she would expedite a refund check out to me via UPS (at no charge to me) and that I should receive it within 3 business days. I agreed but am very weary as to whether or not I will receive it. I find it very suspicious that so much information is need and faxed to obtain money that was GIVEN to me. It's a PRE-PAID Card! Im not applying for credit. This whole experience really has me thinking twice about the manner in which Wal-Mart operates. I even contacted the manager of the Wal-Mart where my mother purchased the card and she thought it sounded strange, yet when she went to discuss it with her manager-she told me nothing could be done on their end. Now, in the meantime...we literally have no money and will be praying UPS delivers the refund. I will never nor anyone I know purchase a card from them again.
Needing all of my personal information faxed to them for a pre-paid card is crazy not to mention still not being able to have access to my money. It's not right and I will defintely take this further. This has left us very bad off at the moment and its not only affecting me and my husband but our children as well. I just pray my personal information goes no further and we receive what is RIGHFULLY ours.

walmart prepaid visa should of been active since the time of purchase the card even so if the card is a tempory one, into you get the real one in the mail only if you got the real one in the mail and loaded it first before activating it could of cause some problem since account wasn't activated with the new card in the first place because the legit one that comes in the mail has to activated online or over the phone its possible also instead of using the the tempory card that was active already you use new real card that came in the mail that wasn't acctive or you loaded it at the store and the cashier did something wrong longest you got receipt or some type proof that it came out some account you able to get your money back. and i was trying best to figure out this mystery since there isn't enough information supplied what you say

THEY BANK ON THE FACT THAT PEOPLE WHO THEY TARGET DON'T HAVE MEANS TO FIGHT BACK AND THEY NEED TO KNOW THAT WE WON'T BE RIPPED OFF BY THEM. GO TO ANY AND EVERYPLACE TO FILE A COMPLAINT FTC, GO FEDERAL, STATE AND COUNTY GO TO THE GOVERMENT WEBSITE FOR YOUR STATE TELL ANYBODY AND EVERYBODY YOU CAN AND WITH A LITTLE LUCK WE WILL GET JUSTICE MAYBE WE WON'T SEE OUR MONEY AGAIN BUT IT WOULD BE WORTH EVERY PENNY TO SEE THEM GET WHAT THEY DESEVE.

This is common and just another fleecing of America. Wal-mart is a communist enterprise. Yes, I said it "Communist Enterprise!" They sell a majority of goods made in communist countries for up to ten times the amount it costs to produce and ship the items. Not only do they fleece America buy turning a huge volume profit on defective goods, they contribute to a large scale problem of environmental damage. They know full well that within 60 days a large percentage of their inferior products will end up in American landfills.

Walmart video game return

Approximately 1 week ago my son (he's 10) purchased a DS video game, Madden 09'. Yesterday, 2/17/09 we attempted to return the item due to it having a "glitch" causing the game to not work properly. We had the original receipt and bag. At first I was told we had to exchange the item for the exact same item. Upon checking the game area in the Electronics Section, I found that they were out of the item. Upon returning to "Customer Service", I was then informed that my son still could not have his money back to allow him to purchase the game elsewhere. We were then informed that we had to pick out another game. When I objected to this, I was informed that the stores policy was exchange only due to the item being opened. I explained that there was no way to know the item was defective without opening it. At that time I asked to speak with a manager. The associate retrieved "someone" from the back room, who had no Walmart identification, yet claimed she was the manager. She also refused to refund my 10 year old son his money. When I attempted to inform her of the issue at hand, she continually spoke over me about Walmart's Return Policy on opened electronics. I then became irate and again attempted to explain how 1st I was told the policy was exchange for same item only, when that didn't work to their favor (due to being out of stock); 2nd I was told to pick another game. When I refused the 3rd thing I was told was that they would give us store credit. They (Walmart) got their money and were refusing to give a 10 year old a refund on a defective item. After being left with no other choice, but to take the "store credit", I informed my son that I would make good to him on the money/game that he was out. It doesn't say much when a large cooperation treats a 10 year old as if he was attempting to rip them off. Some cooperate image. I personally spend $2500 OR MORE a year at Walmart. Money I used to spend there on back to school clothes/supplies, birthdays, groceries, etc. If this is how they plan on treating their customers then I WILL shop elsewhere! Short of an apology to my son and me, as well as something for my son's aggravation by the way we were treated, Walmart has lost a family of spending and we will tell our extended family, friends and my co-workers, DO NOT SHOP AT WALMART!

Get this one.. My eldest stepson was watching his six year old brother. The stupid stepson let his little brother go into WalMart with $150 by HIMSELF to buy video games. Stupid WalMart sold a six year old Call of Duty Black Ops (rated M for mature) and Star Wars The Force Unleashed II (rated T for teen). I'm not even going to go there about the stupid brother letting the six year old go into WalMart with $150, that was a rage in itself and big brother will no longer be watching little brother. So, anway, WalMart sold the six year old these games! Mom and dad find out about it and mom goes to take the brand new unopened games back to the store (as she found them under the six year olds bed). Of course I can not find a receipt because neither knucklehead knows what they did with it. So, already realizing they will NOT give me the money back as no receipt, I was thinking that they would give me a store credit for them (as I do a lot of shopping at WalMart). So, not only did the store BREAK THE LAW by selling these games to a six year old. But they told me that I would have to exchange the games for exact cost merchandise even though they were unopened! WTF? There were no age appropriate games at $59.96 for a six year old for the video game system we have. They would not let me get games that were $49.96 as they had a couple that I would have gotten and let them keep the extra $10 a game. Nope... I ended up having to exchange them for games my husband may or may not want and the $140 is coming off big brothers Christmas present to refund his little brother for 1) letting him take all his saved up money to the store and blowing it. 2) for letting him go into WalMart by himself. 3) For not immediately turning right back around and returning the games when he saw what his brother bought and 4) For loosing the receipt! I find it outrageous that since it was WalMart's error that this transpired that I couldn't get a store credit. I'm done with WalMart. There are plenty of other stores out there, that are much mor accommodating.

THE POLICY APPLIES TO THE CONSUMER, AND IF YOUR KID WAS INCLUDED, TOUGH [censor], YOU PROBABLY SPOIL HIM AND WANT HIM TO HAVE EVERYTHING DESPITE THE RULES... NOT GONNA HAPPEN, IN THE REAL WORLD, START LEARNING "10 YR OLD"

This is all a bunch of bull.. it is not a federal regulation that Wal-mart or any other store in America has to abide by. It is a federal regulation stating that for example.. Wal-mart will not be refunded for opened video games that they accept back from customers. So point blank, they can refund your money, they just choose not to. because god forbid that a 50.00 loss on a video game should put a crunch in their million dollar day. I just had the same experience and needless to say that after 20 years of patronage, I am done with that damn place. And I also am a former employee of this corporation and I do know that they rip people off with their "policies" and they schedule 12 cashiers yet only have 3 on hand at the check outs because they KNOW people will wait. no they EXPECT people to wait. they know you aren't going to leave your cart there and walk out and go to another store and have to do all of your shopping all over again. its sad really. that this is how people get treated when they CHOOSE to spend their money at a specific retailer and support this business, and then they get treated like crap. 100% customer satisfaction guaranteed. right. only if it benefits them at the same time.

As a former employee, I can say this for Wal-mart returns on electronics items -- Computer games, etc.

Because of copyright issues and policies with the company who actually distributes computer games to Wal-mart (computer games are not actually "Wal-mart products" actually owned and distributed by another company), open computer games cannot be returned for a flat-out cash refund, even if a customer paid for a game with cash...with or without a receipt or if it is past Wal-mart's refund policy guidelines.

The manager was not out-of-line in this case, offering another product or offering a gift card instead because they didn't have the item. It wasn't that the manager didn't want to refund the money. By law, they are not allowed to once any electronic game is opened...even if a customer has a receipt. What I used to tell customers is, check the title before you open it to make sure it is what you want. If it is defective, I can exchange it or the exact same title but cannot exchange for a different title unless it is out of stock. By law, any defective merchandise is not suppose to be allowed back on store shelves, though I am informed in some Wal-marts merchandise makes it back onto the shelf.

Don't be mad at management for following company policy. If you don't like a store's return policy, you don't have to shop there. Best policy is to find out a store's return policy before you ever have to return something. Then, if you do need to return an item, you know what returns the store will and will not accept. Not every store (Walgreens, Best Buy, Freddie Meyer) etc has the same return policy.

Management at Wal-mart didn't treat you unfairly by offering to exchange your game for a new unopened game of the same title. Normally, this is what happens. However, when someone learned they were out of the title you wanted, they offered to give you another title. Since you didn't want another title, they offered to give you a gift card so that you could purchase the item the next time it was on the store shelf. On rare occasions, I, myself, have witnessed times when a customer purchased a game, it was defective and the company didn't have a replacement and wasn't getting any more of that particular game. They could either choose another title or receive a gift card. They were in the same situation and they didn't complain because they could not get cash back. They understood the store policy.

In any case, I don't think customers should expect something when company policy clearly states electronic items must be unopened to get a cash refund.

Clearly, when the store couldn't help you...because of federal copyright issues, you do have other options. You can take your game, call Nintendo itself and ask what they do about defective merchandise, since it is their game. They may have been able to ship you a new game...or refunded your money, in accordance with thier policies.

I have brought food in the store before which was out of date. Instead of taking it back to Wal-mart, I simply called the company. Do you know what the company did, they reimbursed me twice the price I paid for the item...so I could go back and by two more of the same product.

Don't blame the system if you aren't happy with it. Work with it or take your rights as a shopper and go elsewhere.

First off yeah there is a copyright law in place otherwise the media market would crash...movies, games all of it. Just imagine buying one movie, watching it and bringing it back for another and another and another. How would anyone make any money? So yeah the information you were told about exchange only for the same item was right.

Now about them being out of the game and not giving you a refund. I'm a manager at a walmart and if you had a receipt and we were out I'd suggest another exchange but if not a refund should not have been a problem. The copyright police aren't going to burst in and start kicking [censor] and no one is going to get sued it's just simple customer service and I'm sure any studio or game developer would agree.

On the flip side if this is the second or third time I've seen you up there for an exchange like this and it's a short enough time frame that I actually remember you (since I don't have to go to the front that often). Then sorry youll probably be SOL cause I'm just not going to trust you and I'll have a policy to back up the decision.

Also don't listen to Neal. He sounds a little disgruntled. I have people working for me just like him and truthfully they are a pain in the [censor]. You have to watch what you say because a simple "hey we need to move this older merchandise" turns into "the managers are forcing me to push this awful merchandise on customers and I think it's wrong because I like to create drama". I've worked here eleven years in several different stores and I've never heard of half the stuff he is talking about. Now talking about customers oh yeah, you act stupid in the store or come in looking all crazy were going to talk some smack in the back with the other managers I mean who wouldn't? Some of its venting and some of it just helps the day move along. Anyway cheers!

Also don't

Don't blame Walmart, it's not their policy that's the problem. I work for a Walmart in Maine. It's not our policy that prevents us from being able to refund customers the money for an opened video game, it's federal copyright laws. If Walmart refunded you the money the associate who did it would get fired, the Manager who ok'd it would get fired and the company would be sued by federal government. I understand your frustration, but it's actually not Walmart's fault, though some would like you to think so. Not trying to defend them, but the facts are the facts. It's illegal for Walmart to refund a video game, DVD, CD, or PC software.

one thing is that if you open a game or software you cannot return unless it is defective. What happens if the game or the software suck or nice way of saying it would be not satisfied with the game or software you are stuck with it. I have had this happen with Battlefield bad company 2 for the PC the game is garbage but I cannot return it.

If you buy a TV and happy with the purchase you can return it for exchange or money back the software or games you cannot.
you pay big bucks for the games and software and cannot return it. I hate that now I'm stuck with the game battlefield bad company 2 that I don't like playing and also wasted like $80 for it.

pissed off

Walmart violation of privacy, harassment, intimidation, hostility.

Treatment of employees, and moral within the workplace.
The personnel director Carolyn has violated an issue of privacy.

An incident occurred where an associate had taken personel leave for 2 days to visit an ill family member, the notice was given to the main store manager and information was not communicated to the dept. of the associate. Therefore the associates had became concerned to the were abouts of the employee when the employee had not shown for work, one associate had went to the personnel manager "carolyn" for personel information of the missing employee, the personnel manager Carolyn had given personal information phone number and address to the associate to call and drive to the residence of the associate missing...this action violates the laws of Hepa.

Other things which happen in the store include treatment of employees with disabilities, management's emotional abuse towards these individuals such as increased work loads, neglect as in no encouragement to these employees for completed tasks, not only applying to disabled associates but also applies to hourly non-disabled employees.

Another issue is under staffing, staffing individuals with disabilities alone in one dept. to attend to customer service and overloaded work tasks to encourage the employees to resign their positions at Walmart.

Other issues are retailiation for employees which use the open door from outside sources other than the facility which they are employed, in this case Sedalia Missouri store 0219.

Policies not consistant within the facility resulting in termination of retailated employees.

My Clients would like your help to aid this situation and perhaps seek a class action lawsuit.

Walmart - tire service department

Hello, my name is Ann Collins (female). I use walmart for almost all of my shopping needs for home or work. I have had new tires put on my 3 ton truck, and had to jump thru hoops to get that done. It was a pain to wait in 2 different lines. One out side and then inside... But my biggest problem was when I need to get my trailor tire replaced. I was told I...
