Walgreens waiting to speak with a pharmacist

the auto system did not recongize my prescription refill #. Held on the phone for 1:15:45 & hold. No one should have to hold when the system tells you that you are the next caller. So you hold. What use to work doesn't this store service is beyond poor.

Hang up and call back. The customers in the pharmacy are more important at the moment than those on the phone. If you held for over an hour then you are crazy.

Walgreens harrassment

I have been an employee at walgreens for 3 months. Most of the employees are black. I am the only white male there. The only other guy is a homosexual black guy who is offended at anything I say. During the first two months there I was very thankful for my job and proud of everyone there. I viewwed everyone as intelligent successful people with goals and such. A black girl there decided to file a complaint against me because I said I was "superior." Darryl and Charmaine were in the breakroom talking about life and I am just walking in acting silly trying to get to know them. I am a goofy silly person and I like myself and I was in a good mood so I said i was a superior individual i dont remember why probably because i felt that i was capable of making accomplishments but i was no means comparing myself to them, however, they felt different. We did not even know each other. So one day I am called into the office with this black girl charmaine. she is scared to come in the room. im surprised im like why is she acting funny? so she finally comes in. im like are you ok charmaine? she just looks so hurt. so i feel bad about that . but then the manager is like go ahead charmaine. so charmaine starts spewing out a bag full of lies like didnt you say you were superior to black people, didnt you say you like that movie hancock because you said he would be a good role bodel for black people, and you are always rude to the customers, and it really hurts that you have been making fun of the way i walk. wow when i saw that i was shocked- here i was looking up to her she is a student at tsu ready to graduate she is engaged, holds a full time job 4 years at walgreens, ive looked up to her as a role model-UNTIL NOW-they actually wrote me up for harassment. the manager said darryl the other guy was there and heard it and kevia the black manager also said that i admitted it. ofcourse i admitted it!-i did not mean anything rude! kevia the black manager frequently tells me to get to work and reminds me to straighten things up and put tags up and to stock the shelves. i never slack at work i stay busy and never take breaks i have never missed a day of work never clocked in late nothing. yet kevia consistently harrasses me for being a bad worker. i was promoted to pharmacy technician and when i am back there kevia is back there my first day counting the controlled prescription pills. i felt harrassed i was hurt. everyone in the pharmacy is a female most of the techs are black the only senior tech is black. during my training i was taught that if i had a question dont hesitate to ask anyone especially the senior tech. however they do not go by the rules the senior tech kept saying what i dont understand you, and "i need my space" and the techs back there spent most of the time making fun of the patients (customers of pharmacy). The own pharmacist lina kept complaining and harrassing customers only to take breaks to call herself superior to the customers. i was in awe. my whole reason to go in the pharamcy was to go around good people-good role models-people i could learn from on how to be successful. this was when lina the pharmacist has just finished reading financial peace by dave ramsey. the other pharmacist consistently reminded me that i need to do my work myself and stop asking questions. they made me nervous. so the senior tech larisa said i was too nervous so i was demoted back to front cash register. i could not go to photo because darryl and charmaine were back there. i try to make peace with charmaine however she just grunts and says whatever, you need to do your job. darryl the gay black guy i saw in the break room and im complimenting him trying to make peace and so we go back out to work, and hes criticizing me in front of customers and putting me down. i compliment him again and he says whatever and raises his voice and puts me down some more. so the next day darryl is over in cosmetics talking to two other black girls bree and aja. they are just back there talking for like 30 mins. im shocked how im always being reminded to stay busy even when im already working hard. so i take a lunch and tell a manager to remind them to get to work and tell another manager that i was having trouble getting along with darryl. i also had told the manager that they always had their cell phones on them. so the next day the three black people darryl aja and bree are back in cosmetics talking, on the job just talking for hours, when someone needs photo help i have to page darryl to go to photo. black girl bree leaves the store only to give me an evil dirty loook on the way out which later i learned was because she was questioned about having a cell phone. so i go to the black girl aja and say can i have a 4 minute break i just have ro run to the restroom. she gives me a dirty look and says NO i have to finish these boxes in 45 minutes which would have been 5:30. i felt bad and expected her to act like that. i was too scared to ask darryl for a break. so after helping a customer darryl came back to cosmetics to talk with aja again and i had to pee real bad so i went back to cosmetics and asked darryl for 4 minute break he said go ahead. i went to pee and came back and saw darryl AND aja ringing out customers at the front register where i was. immediately they started being confrontational saying you should know not to leave the front register. and aja said "when these customers leave we are going to have a talk" -immediately i was hurt by her wickedness and stupidity-darryls too and their sheer lack of the ability to respect someone who is not black-i mean jesus. i never have trouble accepting black people-yet there are like 5 black workers at that walgreens who would rather talk to another black person-not white-any day. the black people there support each other and joke and talk together with disgust for me and make fun of me. im the only white guy there. i mean jesus im not even racist. so now with these black peopl meaner than hell to me im too scared to file a complaint-because stupid walgreens policy is if an employee files a complaint and the second employee files a complaint at the first employee it is a felony and considered retaliation. -first off i never did anything for them to file a complaint now it looks like i have to put up with their unethical dishonest low life practices and not able to complain. THANK YOU WALGREENS

All I have to say is if they have security cameras, go file a suit for discrimination AFTER you file your complaint. You're going to have to in order to get you dignity back. If they terminate you based on there backward policy on retaliation then involve a lawyer and have them subpoena security footage to prove your work ethics against theirs and definitely just in case they deny unemployment make sure you get unemployment agency involved by notifying of your legal actions with a lawyer and labor board. I'm just saying this as a black female. That crap isn't right at all! ORRRRRRR Just find another job. I think this last suggestion is the less stressful and really, the better idea. GOOD LUCK!

Walgreens prescriptions

Pharmacy is inconsistent. One asian pharmacist named Ann told me my prescription would be ready on Friday, I show up on Saturday and was told by Kevin that. my prescription could not be filled. I even had the last bottle showing the date the previous prescription was filled. Not only that, I called to fill the prescription in the first place and the person that answered the phone told me it was ready, they did not tell me that it was a call center picking up the phone, I wasted 30+ miles on my car and still have not got my prescription filled. They told me that they are reluctant to fill it because other people that take the same meds as I do don't end up picking up their full prescription. This is discrimination based on the medication I take! I'm sick of it! I expect it from Public, I expect it from Winn Dixie (who threw it back in my face), but you would think Agrees of all places would be happy to have a customer that has insurance. What will Agrees do after pharmacy legislation is passed in Florida. I won't feel sorry for you all when you lose your jobs, when you could have been better to the customer who is not on Oxycontin and the Hillbilly heroin. To Walgreens, goodbye! You lost my business, and my prescription sells for over $600 and up, how much profit did you just lose?

Since January 2013 I have had lost prescriptions of Flexeril. Pharmacy says must make doctor appointment call doctors office and find out the faxed the prescription to the pharmacy 2 weeks ago. When you call the pharmacist they say they didn't receive the script it's the doctors fault. This has happened three time this year.

I have almost the same problem I been going to the same Walgreens store and getting my prescription there for at least three year then all over sudden starting In November 2011 I would go to my Dr's office and once I was done I would go to Walgreens to get my prescriptions filled they would resuse to fill one of my medications which is roxicodone 30 mg 180 tablets I am a senior citizen and can barely get out of bed some mornings until afternoon I'm not you young person that is abusing these medications another thing is the pharmacist treat you really rude and non courteous this Walgreens is at 7610 4th st north St Petersburg Fl so as I'm leaving the store I purchased a few items and pass back by the pharmacy bumped into a friend of mines that they were filling her prescription same roxicodone 30mg I just was told they didn't have but she was paying cash has no insurance her totall for just that one bottle of medication they charged her $650.00 they are descriminating, price gouging and profile who they feel like filling their prescription I've emailed cooperate office also and they basically had the pharmacy manager at Walgreens in question and all he did was explain to me the reason they don't fill my prescription there is because what they have in stock is for regular customers and it is up to the pharmacist on duties descretion whether or not they wanna fill my prescriptions so I explained to him that I am a regular customer for about four going on five years so they are basically profileling and descriminating then once again he said it's up to the pharmacist discretion so I told him that's just your way of wording profileling and descriminating he then told me to check back the following month and they might be able to fill my medications I asked him so what am I suppose to do wait a whole month and go thru being in pain then after a few days I would start to withdrawal which is dangerous and people have died while going thru withdrawal I thought there slogan is get your prescriptions filled in minutes with our professional and courteous staff when they are really rude and if they do fill your prescriptions they tell you come back in hour and a half as I said earlier in email my mother is also been a regular customer at that Walgreens since we live few blocks away from that location she is a senior citizen walks with a walker and they also refuse to fill her prescriptions to I'm telling you it's discrimination so we leave pharmacy and go check at a pharmacy called G&H at 82nd ave and 66th st and they really need to get investigates or audited cause they had the medication in stock told her have a seat then the young pharmacy technition talks with pharmacist he makes technition give my mother back her prescriptions and said they don't accept Medicaid medipass for that medication and quoted her $990.00 in cash and he will fill prescription now as I said my mother is a senior citizen on fixed income there's no way she can pay that much for a bottle of just one prescription of four medications which he said other medications he would fill with her Medicaid this is also discriminating and price gouging now if you go into a gasoline station and they are price gouging it's against the law but when it comes to your health and a pharmacy is not accepting your insurance and charging you four to five times the average price and get away with it this pharmacy G&H has been shut down once before and under investigation for dealing with pill mill that got closed down cause all their patients would get reffererd there for cash only patients and dea had closed them down temporarily now they just moved location but still doing the same thing we the state are paying for these other things but is not looking into these pharmacies not accepting insurance for your pain killers and price gouging how can a single prescription cost you up to $1.200 dollars and no red flags go up my mother can not take this any more every month has to check couple of pharmacies that don't accept insurance and leave patient in pain she has tried everything cortisone shots in her back, eperdoral shots and steroid shots in her back but it only would work for the most a month if there is nothing you can do or look into this please contact me my name is Carlos my email address is armani0312@me.com and my phone number is [protected] can someone help or steer me in the right direction where I can speak to someone that can help these pharmacies are Drug peddlers themselves charging $7-$8 dollars per tablet on a prescription of 180 roxicodone 30mg by them not accepting insurance and taking care their community and they are suppose to be health care providers greed has turned them into drug peddlers themselves thank you and wish and pray to the lord someone can help me or solve this situation don't know what else to do next I guess I will start a protest and try to get news involved showing state and government are not doing their jobs or protecting their senior citizens I got a list of pharmacies that are doing the same thing it's a common practice now..

I found on Walgreens that decided to cut my prescription. Is that legal? It is on Auvers and Semoran Blvd in Orlando. My prescription says 150 ct. and they only will fill 120 ct. The automated message even states that my other medication is ready for a 28-day supply, but my other prescription is ready for a 20-day supply. So they are making the intial decision to cut my dose and I am not sure keep my other amoutn, which is a 8-day supply. Is that legal. That is not what my doctor wrote. Does that mean I can have my doctor call them back to have them not alter a prescription written by a doctor? How is tha legal that a phamacy can cut your does? I do not have a problem if I am able to come back to pick up my last 8-day dose when I need it. Do anyone know if Walgreen will give me my 8-day dose after 20-days, if they are only despensing a 20-day dose as noted on the automated IVR. I am planning to contact theExecutive Director of the Florida Board of Pharmacy, to get answers or contact Corporate. I do not want to go back ot pick up my prescriptions or ask questions, because I do not want them to embarrass me by asking. They are the ones that are the only pharmacy making decisions like that. I only want to know if the last 8-day supply will be release to me after 20-days. But, under law you can only pick up after 28 days. So what will this do for me. I have been on the same prescription for over 3 years for a bad car accident that left me with me with serious permanent injuries. I am not sure what is going on.

Walgreens overcharging of advertised sale items

It's happened three times that I've caught it, who knows how many times I've been ripped off though - go through the check out line and they over charge for an item on sale. I usually don't catch it until after I'm done paying which means I have to go through the whole process of returning and re-buying. 3 times! Which to me means that they are either incredibly incompetent or purposely screwing us. The last item was last night - Nair pump was on sale - I was charged full retail, the sale price was ~ $ 2.50 less. I got the cash back but what if you bought a lot of things and didn't notice?

It seems to be common practice for Walgreens to "forget" an item was advertised on sale; it happened to both me and my spouse at different stores in different states. They must find this deceptive practice profitable because they have gotten to the point when you discover their "error" they never even apologize for it. If they really wanted to treat the customers fairly they'd pre program their registers to give the customer the sale price. Bandits.

There is something that you are not doing. It is not the cashiers job to baby you through every transaction. They have a long line of customers behind you, so take 5 mins to look at the ad. First off, make sure you have the right item. Just because it is the same brand does NOT mean its the one on sale. They have quantities restrictions for everything that is on sale, or it would not be a SALE. Two, make sure you give the coupon to the cashier, whether that be from the easy saver or the ad, or if you live in the states that have a rewards card, SIGN UP. Pretty sure every place you shop at has a rewards card. You can complain about it, but its not changing anytime soon. Three, pay attention! All the prices are based from a computer and computer software is faulty or there is a thing called human error. Make sure its ringing up the right price. If not, say so, but you do not have to be rude about it. You may not realize, but the cashier has no control over the prices, why the prices aren't ringing correctly and its NOT their job to make sure you are paying attention to the SALES you are trying to get. A sale- - - is not meant for everyone, so yes, you have to do a little work. 5 minutes tops and you wouldn't be on this complaint board. Finally, this is all about 2.50? Really? You got your money back, so I see no reason for you to complain unless you are just one of those unhappy people to always find something to make a WAR.
P.S. Walgreens doesn't want your business. We are doing just fine without you. Hell, it might free up the lines a little and give us more business! So thank you!

You won't get anything. If the item is on sale there is probably something you are not doing to ensure you get the item on sale. For example, have them ring up the coupon or give them your rewards card. Simple as that. Just takes a little effort on your part.

Walgreens wouldn't fill my rx until 8am same day

i have a rx from my doctor who I've been going to since 2003 and using walgreen most of those years. I went after midnight to fill an controlled rx that I have been out of for days due to an error in the date ON the rx (I know, they never make mistakes) but this is a mistake. So I waited until 4/30 date, rx says it's ok to fill and went to walgreens to fill it. I was told walgreeen's policy is NOT TO FILL controlled drugs/ RX'S until 8 am on whatever the refill date is (their policy..they now believe they know what doctors are thinking. and walgreens pharmcy thinks docotrs wants rx's filled at 8 am). It's bad enough being injured with a spinal cord/ syrinx, intractable pain, unable to work at a great career I had now for the last 8 years. I know what it is like to be treated like a illegal, criminal, supposed drug seeking person. THEY HAVE NO REASON TO TREAT ME THIS WAY. I'VE NEVER DONE ANYTHING WRONG .I've never asked for medicine early . There is no just cause to be discriminated in the damn town, just because there is a drug problem and people in this town don't have real lives, they do these things to make themsleves feel powerful and undercontrol..I pity them!
I moved back to help mom, but I would NEVER live her for any other reason. I have nothing nice to say, I guess I will just stop. from: I'VE HAD IT with WF, TX

It's total nonsense I agree. The real problem is we have allowed LE and the media to turn addicts into something evil, twisted and "different". That label justifies treating them like animals and is why your average citizen will go on and on about evil druggies. One of the side effects of this labeling is that pain patients fall right into the trap as well and get treated poorly, with suspicion and without compassion.

The problem is prohibition. If they were no longer controlled substances and instead legalized you wouldn't be facing this problem. No one suffering from chronic pain should have to suffer more just to try and reduce access to addicts. I would rather see 10'000 addicts get their "fix" than a single pain patient suffer needlessly from failed prohibition. When will people learn? We are supposed to be a first world nation yet we let our government act like a 3rd world police state. Foolishness. The 20s and 30s should have taught us how much of a failure prohibition is.

The Walgreens Store in Aransas Pass, Texas, has a female manager that is in serious need of sensitivity training. The way she speaks to customers and her employees is rude and embarrassing.
If I need help in the store and an employee says they are going to call a manager, I ask will it be the "snippy" lady. Every employee ALWAYS knows who I am speaking about. That is an indication of her reputation with employees. It is amazing to me that Walgreens would employee someone with the type of attitude this person has.

If you misunderstood the advertisement, then you should have to wait. However, if it was a mis-print on their end they should have helped you sooner (though they are welcome to help others if you are busy picking out product or something similar).

And you do have a choice to go to another Walgreens or another store. You just choose not to because the cons do not outweigh the pros.

That would be because Walgreens doesn't have a very good idea of how to hire/promote appropriate people for management. If you have a degree then you are automatically qualified. If you don't then you have to struggle to show your worthiness. Outside hires find it much easier to get into management than do inside hires. Qualified people who already work for walgreens find there to be many hoops to jump through to "prove" yourself. They blindly hire strangers to go straight into management and make an imposition to be promoted to management from within. During the hiring process many decisions are made by a computer--the applicant takes a battery of tests to qualify. Then they sit with a store manager or a DM and get an interview. As long as they are available to work anytime at all then they are hired. Although, just note, since 2009 walgreens has not been hiring many managers at all due to a massive slow down in store growth and a massive program to reduce management in the stores in favor of non-management supervisors. These new non-management team leaders may or may not be qualified at all for the job. Most of the team leaders were folks whose job was eliminated (SIMS coordinator-an inventory clerk of sorts) in 2009 and they were offered an automatic "promotion" to the store team lead. And their job is essentially to do every thing the assistant managers did, but without the pay or recognition. Walgreens is trying to broaden their focus on the whole healthcare market right now and trying to cut expenses. It may just be so the new and current CEO, Greg Wasson can make a name for himself. All the changes are making morale very low and no improvements are foreseeable in the near future. The company has several more plans to implement that are sure to further reduce morale and make things slower and less customer oriented in the stores, even if the goal is to become more consumer centric. I wouldn't expect any improvements soon if I were you. The old dependable Walgreens is gone for now.

Walgreens rude employees

I went inside Walgreens today (April 23, 2011) with my friend to look around the Easter section to see what they had that would be good to use tomorrow. As me and my friend are walking threw a store we see a 2 lb. chocolate bunny. So we are walking threw the make up section, there was a check out stand in the middle of the store which had a employee who heard our conversation. We were talking about a guy who stole a 10 lb. chocolate bunny from Target and how it took them 2 months before they noticed that it was gone. The employee immediatly called security from the employees only section, telling them " There is 2 stupid, young, little girls who are causing problems in the make up section. Please guard all isles." And then a African-American lady who had nothing to do with the issue between my friend, me, and the employee decided she should butt in. The lady and employee both began telling us, " We dont provide services to minors here. Dont come back without an adult." (my friend and i are 12 & 13 years old.) So as we are walking torwards the entrance some old lady looking threw a bucket of hand sanatizers had finally spoken up " Unbelevable." is all she had to say then she stared at the employee and lady standing at the register like they should be ashamed. I told my friend as we walked out that i thought the whole event is ###ed. so the black lady yells at me to stop sassing her and that i shouldnt be sassy. I sware to everybody nobody in the Sims family(me) and the Muniz family (my friend) will ever shop at any Walgreens ever again! All of this happened at the Walgreens of of Ming Ave. And Stine Rd. Whether im friends with you or not if u ever asked me if Walgreens was a good store or not i would tell you yhat i feel that it has; the rudist employees, not fully sealed food, and from time to time you will find that some of the make up will be half empty. I will NEVER enter that store again.

My family and I spend a lot of money at this particular store but now everytime my mom, sister or I try to shop there, we get harrassed, followed, or lectured from a rude employee. More than once we attempt to take make-up off the shelf with intent to purchase it when the other items are collected first, only to be followed or pressured to pay at the cosmetic counter no matter what. The most recent incident was when my sister was waiting behind another customer that was using the photo machine. She was waiting patiently and wasn't doing anything wrong. The woman behind photo who has been there years (Kellee or Kelly?) asked if she was with the woman. My sister stated no, that she was just waiting for her turn. The employee then stated rudely and outloud so others could hear, "Well then you need to BACK-UP and give her space and wait your turn. There is another machine to use too (it was also taken up by another customer), or YOU CAN JUST go home and do it online instead." When all of this was said, I was waiting in line for a long time in pharmacy to try to save time to pick up my grandmothers prescription while my sister was waiting for a machine. When I walked back to her, she was very embarrassed and her feelings were hurt when she told me what just happened. Now being an employee at Safeway, we take pride in treating customers kind and it really made me mad to hear that she said to my sister. I almost felt like telling her off but instead being the quite person I am (don't like causing scenes). When the customer left the machine, the screen was black. I asked the employee if it was free and she snapped at me, "NO, it has to be rebooted." Then she puts a little sign on it (for just us I assume) that said, 'Do not touch'. Then ended up taking it down 30 seconds later when the machine came back on. Talk about insulting! I'm 26, not 6! So finally we were able to get done what we needed and left.

But thats not all... so a few hours later I came back with my boyfriend to pick up the printed photos. The same employee helped me and while I was taking my wallet out to pay, my cell phone started to ring. Being polite I ignored it because I feel its rude to talk on a phone while your at the counter paying. She said to me, "You better answer that phone before I beat it." That was the last straw. I took my merchandise and left. I will no longer shop at this store if I can avoid it. This employee is very rude and unprofessional. Apparantly she has been working there TOO long.

Yeah. A store doesn't have to cater to a couple of children. And I'm sure your threats of "never coming here again" didn't phase them. Grow up, learn some respect, and stop being a spoiled child. You'll go a little farther in life.

Why would you speak about unnoticed theft when you're wandering through a store? It's pretty suspicious. They didn't handle it properly, but they were right to be weary of you.

Working for Walgreens as a photo specialist I feel embarrassed that a fellow photo tech acted that way. I would never treat a customer like that. On a side note cosmetics is the only department that can actually be terminated if their sales are not kept at a certain percentage. They didn't mean any harm by pressuring you into ringing out with them it's just because their jobs literally rely on every piece of product they sell.

You seriously need to speak to a manager the next time you go in; photo techs are NOT irreplaceable, but customers are priceless. I'd go in before 5pm monday through friday and ask to speak to the store manager. If the store manager isn't there then ask for the district office's phone number. There is no reason for you to ever be treated like that at walgreens.

Walgreens 3000 cash drawing

I enter into this drawing regularly, and although i havnt won, I wonder does anyone win and who and where are they. If this is a national contest are the winners located anywhere in the USA, or are they locally it would be nice to see picture of these winners. Im believing this is truly a hoaz just to get people to anwser there survey questions. Walgreens although a very good place for medication, not there clear at all regarding the cash sweepstake, I want to know if there is and end date, i want to know if sweepstakes are for each and every state. but if this is a national 1time drawing, then im out who wants to enter a sweepstakes knowing they are 1 in 6 million drawing.

It's a national drawing. I know I'm late, but to answer the question for anyone else who's wondering, it's not state-by-state. It's national. If you go into a Walgreens location, they should have a list of winners.

Walgreens survey website inoperable

Almost every week I enter the Walgreens feedback survey website and complete the survey. But today, April 13, 2011, the www.walgreensfeedback.com is not available. When you type in the address, you are re-directed to another page that has a list of other websites, but not the survey site listed on the walgreens receipt. This is very deceiving. If Walgreens is no longer offering the survey, then remove the information off your receipts.

Walgreens wrong prescription

After refilling a prescription, I saw that there were two different pills in my bottle. One was the muscle relaxant I was familiar with, the other was larger and a different color. My husband took the bottle back immediately. The pharmacy manager told my husband that it was a different generic for my prescription and that is was safe to take. I had looked it up online and it appeared to be a drug for diabetes (which I don't have), but figured I should trust my pharmacist rather than the internet. After a week they called and asked us to bring the bottle back, saying they would refill it with all the same pills. They told me I could be experiencing low blood sugar, and dizziness. (Later I was able to confirm with a different pharmacy that they were Metformin, not my prescribed Metaxalone) The phamacist kept saying these things happen, and they are doing their best. I had taken a few of the wrong pills and was very sick for 3 days. I complained to the corporate office but haven't heard anything so far.

Also, you can always use the internet to find out what pills you have. There are a lot of sites where all you have to do is put in the shape, color and the markings and they will tell you what the pills are.. Just do a google...

Walgreens moving pharmacist to another location

We have just been informed that Walgreens plans on moving Charlie Margaritis from the pharmacy in the Southborough, MA (rte 9) store to one in Maynard, MA. What Walgreen's needs to understand is that Charlie built his business, Southborough Drug Store, within the local community for a reason. He wanted to serve the people of Southborough. People came to his store to see the friendly face, check out which bow tie he was wearing today, and get their medications or ask a question about something. He was a Southborough institution. When the "BIG" companies started to take over the area, the little guy just couldn't compete, so Charlie sold his book of business to Osco drug - because he agreed with their philosophy of being there for the customer. People follow Charlie, they want him to be the one filling their scripts, they trust him. When he moved over to Walgreens, many of his original customers came with him...look at the numbers, see how many people came from Osco (which was bought by Brooks and then Rite Aid) to Walgreen's. They come for the local feel, their neighborhood pharmacist, who calls everyone by name, serving his community. He wants to stay in his hometown, but due to corporate numbers they want to move him? What about being part of the local community? Walgreen's website states "A history of our company: How a neighborhood drugstore became America's most trusted pharmacy... and changed the shopping habits of a nation.". Well that is what Charlie is to Southborough. He is the neighborhood drugstore...SO LET'S KEEP HIM IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD! Don't move Charlie Margaritis to Maynard, MA. KEEP CHARLIE MARGARITIS IN SOUTHBOROUGH!

Thank you!
-Holly Margaritis

Walgreens racist

I have been to this walgreens four times. All four they have been rude and tried to charge for medications my insurance pays for. I seem to get one tech all the time. Which seems to be very rude. I was over charged and was told that my insurance would not pay for the perscription and I could pay for it myself. Which I did not pay for it we went to family dollar and only payed only $2.13 when walgreens tried to get $4.75 from us. I want to warn people not to go to this walgreens because these people are racist. Another time I tried to get medication it took me two hours to get it. We will never use walgreens again for anything. We complained to the corporate office and they did nothing. They appear to be trying to make a quick buck on questionable medical practices.

You never actually explain what they did that was racist. I think that excuse has been over used for far too long. We do the best we can as far as prices. Drug stores all have to compete with each other and we cannot always have the cheapest prices.

Walgreens customer service

I have had several issues with Walgreens and them filling my presicriptions and they have over-charged several times. I just called in a refill today and spoke to a representative, I told him the refill that I needed and he said ok, then I called many hours later to check on the refills and it said I had 3, that is incorrect I should only have 2. I spoke to another Representative who told me that I olny had 2 for the same medication, that is also incorrect! I should have 2 different refills under 2 different medicines, she was very rude to me. This is not the 1st time this had happened. I have also been called several times that my prescription was ready but when I went to pick it up it was only a partial fill and they told me I would have to pay for the rest when it is ready, ummmm I don't think so that is what a co-pay is and it is not my fault they are not stocked, also they should have informed me it was a partial before I drove all the way there, this has been an inconvenience to keep driving back to get the rest of my meds. The Service is awful, they are very rude and most locations and also on the phone and who knows who you are talking to half the time the people on the phone are not even in the same state! I will no longer use Walgreen's, in fact I went to my Dr. the other day and there was a note that said they will no longer send orders thru Walgreens please select a different pharmacy. That is sad when a Dr.'s office will no longer use them.

Walgreens rx issues every time

Every month, twice a month, I have to fill 8 prescriptions. These are the SAME medications I have taken for years with the exception of 2 that were started about 6 months ago if that. Needless to say, there ALWAYS has to be an issue with at least one or more...

Since I fill 5 of them mid-month and 3 of them at the end of the month, you would think that it would be pretty cut & dry. Well, not with Walgreens. The ONLY REASON I started going to Walgreens was due to my local "mom & pop" store not being able to carry 3 of the RX's due to the cost and strength. They're expensive, they do not stock it, and it takes about 3-5 days for them to get them. SO, with reluctance, I moved everything over to Walgreens. As of today, they're all MOVED BACK and I'll wait the 3-5 days - will just ensure I get the RX's ordered ahead of time and get paper RX's earlier if need be.

At any rate, the whole "ordeal" is over the inability to properly get Medicaid to authorize the claim. 3 or 4 medications need PA's (Prior Authorizations) and as a customer, I should NOT have to help them know which codes go where; however I've had to deal with it so much, I've "learned". Then there is the issue of NEVER having the right amount. For 2 of these medications, you can either get the partial fill and lose the rest or have to hunt down another store that has the full amount. Generally, the tech/pharmacist must call at least 5 other Walgreens to find out which one A) Has it, B) Has enough, and C) Provide instructions on "how" to get the claim to go through.

Then, I will arrive at the location that has it, and I can barely walk as-is even with my cane at age 33 but I have to come in since heaven-forbid I "hold" the Drive-Thru lane. They have the EVERY MONTH issue with getting it to process, and I offer my help to her and get snapped at to "You don't work here, I do, and I know what I'm doing so let me figure it out somehow." I state that I have dealt with and will continue to deal with this EVERY month, this isn't about "working here or not", it's about me HELPING YOU to make YOUR JOB EASIER! Oh no no no - cannot have ANY of that. SO - a struggling away she goes until I'm told it is NOT covered as "too soon". Really? It couldn't possibly be too soon given a NEW paper prescription is required EACH time and it is now the 30th day on a 30 day supply. Then I'm told I 'just filled it today' - again, obviously not, but you don't want nor need my help right? She still keeps stating it was filled today - so I asked her "Where might I have filled the SAME RX that is in your hands?" and she snaps back with you filled it (paused); ummm; OK this don't make sense as it says you just filled it here - I must've gotten all messed up with you talking".. NOW I find it a bit comical.

I tell her that she's obviously "started" the claim, it's now in "suspense" as it is waiting for the Pharmacist to clear-out the alert(s) and/or to apply the PA (Prior Authorization), and here comes the "looks" again - only THIS time, they're looks of "ahhh I think this customer may be on to something"... She begins to digress and "sort-of" apologizes by saying "Oh yeah yeah yeah I see I see what you were talking about with that PA # and all that... Now I gotta call Medicaid to clear it and then I can re-do it again". I started to say "If you have not sent the" - and that's when I got cut-off AGAIN and bi-polar woman turned back into evil-pharmacist! And here I thought I made some headway...

No longer, every month, will I have to deal with attempting to drive long distances (hard to drive as-is due to all the physical issues), no longer have to deal with "the looks" over the type(s) of medications, be lied to about insurance not covering a 30-day supply medication until the 32nd day (since they can't do basic math with the 31-day months - LOL), no longer will I have to be subjected to rude people who do NOT want advice from one who has the answers since EVERY month I have to deal with the same issues and have learned "how" to get it to work.

MOST importantly, I am once again able to support an 80 year old family-business, that has been struggling, with around $7, 000 in Prescriptions a month! That "3-5 day wait" is worth keeping a family-business 'in business' as being known by my NAME, what I NEED, filled automatically when it's time since they look everyday as to "who is getting close", be called when it's ready, or even have them delivered at NO CHARGE! I will no longer be looked at as an irritation, idiot, number, or worse, a 'drug-seeker' due to 3 of the medications I am on..

Funny though that between my $7, 000 in medications and the rest of my family who is ALSO leaving Walgreens, close to $20, 000 in meds are now OFF their revenue! That's fine though - we have to keep our Small Businesses alive instead of letting the corporate capitalist chains take over.

What no complaint about your insurance company. You'll allow the independent pharmacy 5 days to fill your rx but not walgreens. Get real. I'm sure the medications your filling to soon are narcotics. You probable overuse them.

Walgreens long red haired employee rude and inappropriate

I was waiting on a script for an hour and went outside to sit and read a newspaper. This employee came out and demanded that I leave, that I looked bad sitting there. I was wearing a Ralph Lauren button down with a wool blazer. He, however, was wearing his extremely long hair unrestrained, in an old t-shirt and worn out baggy jeans. I looked much better than he. I informed him that I was a customer waiting on a script for an hour. He never apologized; but insisted that I leave. I went to the pharmacy where he was checking to see if I was telling the truth. Even after, he said "I thought you were a homeless person". I will not repeat all he said to me; but he was discriminating against me for having a cane and a disability. I usually bring a rolling case to transport my items since I am disabled. He told me it looked bad as well. To my dismay, I discover today that he still works there. He refused to tell me his name then because he knew his behavior was wrong and that I was trying to maker an official complaint. I hope this is official enough. Walgreens can do better. Maybe, if he had no job, he would be more understanding towards the homeless. No one should be treated that way, homeless or otherwise. I assure you that my rents and house payments far exceed his entire living expenses. He should not be allowed to work with people at all. Keep him in the back and out of the way, please, if you keep him there at all.
