Walgreens refilling a prescription

I have been getting my prescriptions filled at this Walgreens for awhile, never had any problems but today I was appalled at the professionalism and customer service I received. I have lupus, my doctor called in a refill for some pain medicine I needed and had run out of, I had went yesterday and spoke to a pharmacist tech and she had told me to wait til today so my insurance would cover it and I wouldnt have to come out of pocket. I called this morning to check to see if it was ready and the person I spoke to was very rude, unprofessional and unsympathetic to my situation, instead of good customer service I was questioned about why I needed it and so very rude, I was told she didnt care what the tech from the previous day said, nor any regards to my doctors request. I am now going to take my business elsewhere and let my friends and family know not to do business there. The person I spoke to today was Dorothy and she said she was the lead pharmacist. I am so upset over the situation and how it was handled, has caused my anxiety to flare up. I

Walgreens pharmacy

Horrible customer service. The head pharmacist Patel is the problem. Her lack of customer service and racism is unreal.
Waited 25 mins to be asked, what do you need? Really what do I need.
Not a hello, we will be right with you, Thanks for waiting...
Then it is was the extra 10 minuets of questions about me when I have been going to Walgreens for the last 15 years...

Just horrible- the entire staff is useless and now I know why, the attitude of the Patel is the problem. When the manager is treating people like crap waiting to get helped --how do you think she treats her own staff.

The staff lacks any knowledge of customer service.

Please Walgreen you need to look into this and understand you are not the only Drug store on the block...

Walgreens Double charged and no merchandise

This morning on 2/28/20, I went to Walgreen's to purchase items totaling $72.01. When I was checking out at the register, I used my debit card. The transaction was denied, I tried again denied; therefore the 3rd time I used it as a credit, denied again. I was embarrassed, humiliated, and frustrated, because I know that I had funds in my bank to cover my transaction. I had to leave my items and apologize for the inconvenience that I have caused. I came back to my office to look at my transactions and noticed that Walgreens debited my account more than once and I don't even have my items. I spoked to my bank and was told that the funds were in my account, and that was the Merchant Walgreens error. I tried twenty times this morning trying to call Walgreens Pharmacy and the Store, and no one answered the phones. An hour later I was forced to go back to Walgreens Store # 5658, located at 408 East Michigan Street, Orlando, Florida 32806 to get this matter resolved. I asked to speak to the Manager. I spoke with him, and he knew my frustration and still he was not understanding and still my problem was not resolved. The money was still deducted from my account and I have no merchandise

Walgreens Astoundingly rude cashier

Stopping to purchase pain reliever because it's Sunday & I live across the street & in pain, I was loudly and rudely accused of breaking in line at cash register. I'm 71 years old, I don't break in line.
Cashier was SO LOUD THE OTHER CASHIER WAS ABLE TELL HER I DID NOT JUMP IN FRONT OF ANYONE AND THAT I WAS THE NEXT ONE IN LINE. Cashier was so angry for being called out, I guess she could not realize she needed to apologize.
Walgreens, 3 years ago I moved my prescriptions to the locally owned neighborhood store when I was no longer required use this store by my insurance.
It's been a store that likes to hire lethargic rude people for as long as it has been open.
From now on, I hope I can go to my local drugstore or at least the CVS
which is a far better operation.

Walgreens Pharmacy incompetence, rudeness and lack of concern for patients

I am reporting a problem with the McMinnville Walgreens at 1210 Smithville Highway in McMinnville TN.

Today, I refilled my prescription online with Walgreens.com. When my Husband called them to see when the prescription would be ready to pick-up, they said it would be ready at 11 AM CST. We have repetitive problems with Walgreens pharmacy in filling my prescriptions. Every single time my Husband tries to pick up my medication, there is a problem. I had a prescription that was supposed to be ready for refill yesterday and the web site allowed me to fill it. My Husband was treating rudely and disrespectfully as usual, and was simply told that the prescription "was not ready and that there was nothing to refill." This was a bold-faced lie. I am now going to be relocating outside of the State in order to be closer to family and hopefully receive better care from medical providers in another area. I am sick and tired of being treated with such blatant disrespect.

I will be following-up with the Joint Commission and the FDA on furthering this complaint against Walgreens pharmacy. I have been a loyal shopper at its many locations since I was a young adult. I spend thousands of dollars at Walgreens each year on prescriptions alone. Just because I am on Medicare doesn't mean I am a social pariah. I have been employed full-time since I was a college student at San Francisco State University and hold two degrees. I send my husband to pick-up my prescriptions out of necessity because I am disabled and often do not feel well.

I will bombard Walgreens with negative criticism on each and every website and social media site I get my hands on. I am very skilled in this area and am a key influencer.

Walgreens should be ashamed of their deplorable service and behavior and for making the lives of the less fortunate even more troubled.

Sincerely,

Sara Smithart

Walgreens Prescription

I am going to Africa today February 21, 2020 and my doctor called in my vyvanse early since i will be away while it is short. I confirmed with my insurance and pharmacist (at Walgreens 33 East 23rd Street) on Monday, February 17, 2020 that they would fill My medicine this morning Friday February 21, 2020 if I bring in my travel documents as proof of where I am going and for how long. I just spoke to the pharmacist and she is now refusing to refill my vyvanse early and told me she would only do it today if my doctor calls in a prescription for seven days with seven at 50mg and seven at 10mg to equal the 60mg i need. She also suggested to go to another pharmacy (which does not even make sense). I reached out to my doctor, and their office is closed today because they are moving to a new floor. So not only can i not have them call in a new prescription but i cannot even have them call a new pharmacy to get it filled. I am leaving in a couple of hours. If I had known they would have this issue I would have dealt with it earlier this week. This puts me as a patient in the position to be out of my medicine I've been on every single day for 15 years. The pharmacist i spoke with Monday looked up my information and when it was due. This is a very serious issue. I will be in a country where I cannot have this medicine shipped. Additionally, both the CDC and the South African embassy told me to not have my medicine shipped as it could get lost or stolen or never make it to me especially if I am traveling a lot in the country. I will never use Walgreens again for my medicine or Duane Reade. There are plenty of CVS pharmacies in this city. I am disgusted and feel both violated and abused. To be told two different things on an issue vital to my health to the point of hurting and affecting me is wrong. Again - if I was told this five days ago I would've dealt with it at that time. Not hours before I am leaving. Pharmacists at one location should agree to one conduct. Not multiple. The fact that the pharmacist i spoke with earlier in the week confirmed no other action was needed should've been enough.

I will be reporting this issue to the pharmacy board I found online as well as to all other review sites online.

Walgreens injection from pharmacist

On 06/14/19 I received a pneumonia shot(RX# [protected]) from the Walgreens pharmacist (30 Golden Gate Blvd W, Naples) [protected]) who improperly injected me too high on my shoulder causing severe pain. An MRI proved that the injection caused a tear in my rotator cuff and frozen shoulder. I had severe pain and a very limited range of motion in my right arm (dominant). After six months of physical therapy I still have discomfort especially at night causing interruption of sleep throughout the evening. I am a 70 year old woman living alone so I have a difficult time with daily functions including dressing, grooming and driving. This injury has definitely affected my quality of life. I may have to have cortisone shots and/or surgery to get me back to normal

Walgreens testosterone cypionate / syringes for testosterone / hydrocodone

Today I am having a maintenance prescription filled for testosterone cypionate 200mg per ml. I have had this prescription filled here for years. Lately when it is time to be filled it is held up "because of an insurance issue". I have to call back in after a couple of days and file a complaint in order to finally get this filled although the moment I do there is no longer any problem filling the prescription. I have also been treated like a drug addict when I try to buy the syringes in the appropriate quantity necessary to inject my testosterone prescription. That is ridiculous!
On september 12, 2020 I was on my way home from having had a full shoulder replacement on september 11. I had a pain prescription for hydrocodone. This same pharmacy held up filling this prescription for "an insurance issue" for 2 days until I filed a complaint again. Once I filed it was filled within 5 minutes. Can you imagine not having pain medication following a shoulder replacement for the first 2 days? Certainly my surgeon could not believe it! Even if they were trying to see if the prescription was valid they never called my surgeon's office to confirm.
Since I ran pharmacies for 35 years I know that these actions are ridiculous. While I recognize the need for caution it is irresponsible for any pharmacist to simply withhold a patient's prescription and ignore it until they complain.in the case of testosterone it is as simple as looking at the patient history and seeing that it is a maintenance drug being filled at the appropriate refill intervals. The same with the number of syringes being purchased. As to post major surgery withholding of pain medication the pharmacist should potentially have their license revoked. There is no acceptable reason why any pharmacist should not care about the legitimate pain of a patient. It is simply completely irresponsible and since I have filed complaints previously directly with walgreens it is apparent that they do not care enough to take any action to correct this issue on a permanent basis. Certainly I should never be placed in a position where I must make repeated phone calls in order to have appropriate, legally prescribed medications filled.

I am on automated refills. Last week I received a text stating that 2 of my refills were due and they could fill them if I liked. I said yes. The 2 medications were Pravastatin and Metformin. They had each been filled and picked up at the same time the prior month. This time however I received the follow up text that Pravastatin had been filled but my Metformin was too soon. Obviously that was impossible since the previous 30 day prescriptions were both filled and picked up at the same time. Either they should have both been able to be picked up or neither should. When I picked up the one that was ready I asked about the one that was not ready. I was told that it incorrectly showed that it had been filled 6 days earlier. This was why it would not fill it. That issue could only have been a mistake by this Walgreens when they tried to fill both prescriptions after sending me the text stating that they were due. This is not the first time that this has occurred. It is in fact at least the 5th time that I have had this same issue at this same pharmacy. What it does because they created an issue 6 days ago and rather than correct it simply did not fill it is force me to make an additional trip to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription. At one point I had all of my monthly prescriptions synced up to one day to get refilled. Now every single one is on a different day. Now I make five additional, previously unnecessary trips to Walgreens every month. They do not even care. It is not costing them any time.
I have resolved this one once again but no thanks to Walgreens now all of my prescriptions have to be picked up on a different day of the month all because their staff is inadequately trained to resolve issues at the time that they occur or that they create them.

Sorry but the date of my shoulder replacement was September 11, 2019 obviously not 2020.
The cause for my need for 23 surgeries was that as a long distance runner who raised money for charities thru my running I was struck on August 21, 1986 by a drunk driver who ran me over at 65MPH. His car struck only me and it was totaled. The police interviewed the witness at the site of the accident. Their report states that the driver crossed over 2 lanes and was off the road when he hit me. The report states that he was drunk. The police let him go without even a ticket!
My need for testosterone is tied to the damage done to my pituitary gland during the accident. The surgeries are ongoing joint replacements for joints that are so full of arthritis and failing after all these years that they have to be replaced. This was my 4th joint replacement. Since the driver had no insurance and no money I have had to bear all of the expense and insurance issues myself all these years. There is no good, valid reason that I should have to also bear the insufferable actions of Walgreens pharmacy which only adds insult to injury!

Walgreens pharmacy

I have been going to the 24 hour pharmacy walgreen's in chicago at the address listed above for many, many years. For the past 3+ years it has become a literal nightmare for me and my disabled husband. No matter what day & what time I go there, there is a line through the aisles of the store, always! On top of that, there is typically 1, maybe 2 people working the registers. There's no way to do a drop off even without waiting on line. I was severely injured a few years back, and i've had dozens & dozens of surgeries, and I am in constant extreme pain. However, I have no choice but to wait in this insane line repeatedly, over & over & over. The drive-thru is an absolute joke because they just never help you. Two or three cars will literally wait at least an hour or two. Last time I was here, it was 2+ hours. Now, I am currently waiting in an absurd line. There is one register going! I am beyond irate! In addition to my own hardship, my husband is disabled, and he cannot go anywhere. So, I have to go through this same ordeal for his scripts, one being insulin, something he cannot continue his life without! They never have the items I need at other local walgreen's, and their hours are very difficult for me as I have issues with being out in the sunlight. You guys are just bring disgusting & greedy! This is appalling, and I am sickened by this. I have talked to employees here. They just say they are understaffed. So, get them some staff for goodness sakes! What is the matter with you people. You see the sales, the number of transactions, etc. So, what is wrong with you? I doubt everyone there is completely incompetent. I realize i'm being rude, but I have had it! I have talked to corporate, the store managers, the techs, pharmacists, etc. To no avail. Please address this issue asap! This is not fair. Some prescriptions are controlled, so I have to wait in line to drop those off for an hour +, and then again back in the line to pick it up, even if I wait. This is unacceptable. I would absolutely like a response. I deserve one, even though nobody has ever responded to any of my other pleas, and they were much more polite, understanding & reasonable. I realize it's all about making money, but is customer service really this far gone? Shame on you walgreen's pharmacy! Shame on you!

Walgreens living solutions electric kettle

To Whom It May Concern, I bought the Living Solutions brand electric kettle about a month ago at Walgreens. While pressing the lid opening button it snapped and now it's hard to open it. It says it's under 2 year warranty. How can I claim it please? It looks like the kettle is very cheaply made of plastic that doesn't last long. Thank you, Regards, Justyna.

Walgreens prescription refills/error

Walgreens Has A Serious Discrimination Issue Regarding Pain Medication
I had my normal monthly prescriptions filled last on 1/4/20 at Crain Highway Glen Burnie Maryland. There is one prescription "Levothyroxine" that is filled every three months. I picked up all of my monthly prescriptions which includes a narcotic pain medicine. I pick them all up the same day 1/5/20 so I don't have to make multiple trips. I received a text stating one prescription was due for refill. Of course the only refill I needed was the Levothyroxine. I received a call of 1/15/20 asking about my pain medication refill. I told the pharmacist Robbie I had already received that refill and that the only refill I was waiting on was my thyroid. She said apparently the guy who rung me up for my 1/5/20 prescriptions somehow didn't close out the pain medicine (which I already received), so she said she fixed it and filled my thyroid medicine. I called this morning for my normal refills and was told it was too early to fill my pain medicine because my last prescription was 1/14/20 so they can't fill it until 2/14/20. I explained AND REMINDED her of the mix up we spoke on the phone about (same pharmacist Robbie) and she refused to acknowledge it even though I have the documents, date on my bottle when filled (1/4/20) and my bank transaction showing the date I picked up on 1/5/20. She refused to hear any of it and was beyond rude and unprofessional. She remembered CLEARLY our conversation but refuses to fill it until 2/14/20 because they made the error of confusing when the pain medicine was filled (1/4/20) to when my thyroid medicine was filled (1/14/20). I will be out of my pain medicine tomorrow 1/5/20 due to THEIR ERROR! It's an opioid (that I've been getting for years there) so I believe she just doesn't care to look into or fill it. This happens EVERY month with only this prescription out of the 5-6 prescriptions every month. I'm tired of being treated like a drug abuser when I have legitimate medical issues you can see via x-rays, MRI's and CT scans. My entire spine is titanium (half of which is broke and clearly visible on the films), and I live with debilitating pain every single day. I leave my home only to travel to the doctors or the pharmacy. The way this pharmacist treated me was absolutely uncalled for, unprofessional, unethical, non-compassionate and discriminatory. She expects me to go without my pain medication because THEY made an error. If I were abusing the medication I could have stated I never received my medication. I have contacted corporate and the Better Business Bureau. NO ONE should have to endure additional pain and mental anguish due to a pharmacist's own error, as well as false assumptions, judgement and discrimination toward a long time patient/customer. It's wrong and this pharmacist should be terminated in my opinion. She should not be allowed to work personally with customers. I see Walgreens has taken a severe turn for the worse.

Hello, I am curious is they reached out to you to rectify this problem. It was totally un-necessary for them to make you feel you had to upload your personal information, as it shouldnt have been needed as "proof". As a technician at Walgreens, we are obviously not perfect. This situation you explained, though not a common situation, is far from unheard of, even with a control medciation. It's a shame nobody "remembered" or made an atempt to make this right. I will tell you, the pharmacist should have called the Walgreens helpdesk and had them "backdate" the charge. That is generally never done on controls, but in this case that is not only the the way to fix the "refill too soon" but it would be changed to the date the prescription actually left the pharmacy. I hope they made this right.

Walgreens poor customer service rude and slow!

I have been filling Prescriptions at this pharmacy for 10 years and my family and I spend a lot of money at this location. I started coming here when it was Rite Aide. The pharmacist were so wonderful and all staff so helpful. Then in the past year Walgreens has taken over and just to be frank this place has went to hell. I used to wait not over 10 mins for anything. Now it takes 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge I'm in the store at the pharmacy. Two of the employees is the only reason we still shop there. But if they aren't there it is pathetic customer service. Alicia (one of the pharmacists) is rude as she could be and hateful every time we are in. My family and I spend way too much money in this store to be treated this way.

Walgreens wait time

Consistently 4 pharmacy technicians working. The numerous times I've been there I see them "chatting" before I am even greeted at the window when I am the only customer. Some times I am in the drive thru. At those times, the pharmacist will pick up the phone, and say "we will be right with you." At that time it is still 3-5 minutes before I am helped. I have noticed that when I am still the only customer present. Granted they are working on other items, I should not be waiting upwards 7-8 minutes when I am the only one there. Also, I am not asked if I have any questions for the pharmacist. I have worked in private pharmacy before. This is horrible customer service. I wish you never purchased Rite Aid.

Walgreens pharmacy department

I was out of my 2 prescriptions so had them transferred down to gulf Shores from my regular Pharmacy in TN. They continually told me that all my insurance card numbers were incorrect. I verified with my husband, he verified with his work and after the weekend we verified with our pharmacy and they all said my numbers were correct. I had now been without my medications for 5-6 days. They were also very rude in the process. I finally got the pharmacist on the line on Monday and he was not very friendly and said my insurance numbers were still wrong. I insisted he call my home pharmacy to get this straightened out. He then called me back to tell me the whole problem is that Walgreens does not take my insurance (express scripts). I have been without my medications for almost a week and feel that they should have known they do not take my insurance from the first running of my prescription 6 days ago. This is unacceptable and on top of that they were very rude and not at all helpful. I have gone with another pharmacy and will never use Walgreens again down here...not even to go in and grab some sunscreen. I hope you will take measures to ensure that other potential customers have a much better experience with your company. The pharmacist was (Jeff) and the pharmacy tech was a man(don't know his name) at your Gulf Shores Walgreens location at Hwy 59 and Hwy 180. Thank you.
