Waffle House wait staff out smoking and ally need a raise

I'm complaining about the cook ally not getting paid her worth. Somebody give her a raise. She up this morning at 4:36am serving myself and partner as well as another couple when she is the cook. While the serving staff is outside smoking she's doing work double time. Promote her for her dedication to this Company or else ur going to loose an assest

Waffle House management

On Tuesday, August 6, 2019. My granddaughter & I visited this location for breakfast. We waited there only to see the manager not managing "there were 6 tables" not cleaned, neither did they plan on cleaning any of them as we waited for 10 minutes.
While waiting I asked my 12th grader that is planning to major in "business management" what or how would she rate this type of management, it wasn't a good review. Loosing customers, is loosing money, isn't what a 16 year old would do or allow it to happened, she said "grand mama I would have cleaned the tables & got my helper to make it happen, in stead of loosing money. We want be financing you locations.

Waffle House server appeared to be heavily under the influence of some type of drug.

I stopped for lunch with my 17 year old son. The server approached to take our order. She had a difficult time getting her words out and she was struggling to open her eyes, and to make a noticeable effort to open her eyes after she blinked. I told my son" that lady is on either heroine or fentanyl. During our 30 minute visit we noticed her scratching herself and her hands were very abnormally swollen. My son and I placed our order including our beverages. Our food came before our drinks, then she couldn't remember what we had ordered. Apparently it was shift change so she struggled to count the till, then she sat down to add up the tips from all the receipts. After about two minutes she passed out on top of the receipts, completely motioneless, i started to worry about her. She stayed that way, about five minutes, until a co-worker came out from the back and made her wake up. Then we went to pay and apparently our server through our ticket away because she couldn't remember who she wrote it for, and we were sitting right there. The new server, from the next shift, had to go get our ticket out of the garbage. Our servers name was Renee. Also it was pretty noticeable that Renee's co-workers were not happy with her condition. Renee could barely function. I would normally not turn anyone in like this but I'm concerned that this Renee person will be dead soon if she doesn't get help. A job doesn't matter when you are dead. I took 3 different pictures while she was passed out.

Waffle House cook

My husband and I go to this Waffle House regularly. usually around 6 or 7 in the afternoon. On or around the 29th of July, upon arriving to this location the blond girl who was cooking for us I do believe her name was Darci, was out front taking a break I think and on the phone when we first pulled up we just thought she was smoking a cigarette but when we got out of the car a heavy aroma of marijuana was in the air we just thought it was someone near by. When we got to the door Darci holds the door open for us. once inside we sit and order our meal our waitress has to go get Darci from outside who is still talking on the phone and smoking, when Darci comes inside that same aroma I had smelt when first arriving at this Waffle House was now very strong inside the store. The little girl had no hair net on or a hat like everyone else. In the middle of making our food The was usning her phone and She had to remake my food twice before I got tired of having to send my food back and once she was done cooking she went right back outside. Why is this young girl allowed to work there and do drugs while working. This was the worst experience I've ever had at this Waffle House. Something should be done about this, Waffle House should not have their employees do drugs at work or allow them to get away with it.

Waffle House cleanliness of entire service area

on august 7th at approximately 9pm we went to eat, upon walking in and seeing the total mess, dirty dishes, knives/forks and food scraps i decided to do a take out. Once order was taken, reluctantly if i must say so, i had to move some of the dirty dishes from the counter when i found the stores PRINTED OUT X REPORT waffle house 674 device #WH00674.1 8/6/2019 (bus date) printed at 12:51pm 8/7/19...showing all card details and an end reading of $1, 890, 463.76. My order was ready and as i was paying the server 3 more customers walked in took one look around and walked out...i told the server they walked out because there were no clean tables available. She made no attempt to reachout to these customers, all she did was hand me my food and walked away. If anyone from WAFFLE HOUSE wants to contact me they can send me an email to [protected]@AOL.COM...i tried for over an hour to find the wafflehouse website to send this complaint to them but it like looking for a needle in a haystack

Waffle House co - worker

A cook named masonthat I work with this night was repeatedly harassing me told me to clock out and leave and when I started to do that he called the manager saying I was making a scene causing a ruckus. I don't have a problem with any of the cooks but he won't leave me alone and prefers to have me leave but won't let me by making a call that forces me to stay and work with him

Waffle House server

I am in no way looking for apologies, discounts or for people to loose a job just a fyi moment. i frequently take my granddaughter to breakfast at a different wafflehouse but today we decided to try this one closest to hospital l. The staff was friendly but one lady maby named shay? A small lady.While clearing the table She was beating the plates on the table yelling that it was her birthday so loud screaming multiple times repetitive sentences that i couldnt understand and it is her birthday. This went on for maby 10 minutes with no one saying a word as she continued to beat plates and silverware on the table and sink. We love waffle house but will never ever return to this one. I rarely fuss bout things but when you cannot eat for a person being so sadly excessive on demanding attention, its not worth wasting my money.As with us, most of the customers starred and seemed to be irritated . Way below WH standards.

Waffle House theft/fraud

I frequent Waffle House here in Jacksonville Florida. I've always been a big supporter and customer of this franchise for 40 years now. Last Friday I stopped into a location that I come to regularly and purchased my order. I learned after the bill which should have been 12 dollars posted that someone dishonestly filled in a 40 dollar tip. I can't tell how angry this level of dishonesty makes me. My grandfather took me to Waffle Houses throughout my childhood and I wouldn't have thought someone from that establishment would rip me off like that. Unfortunately I'm going through the dispute process to try to recover my funds. I'm a working man and I need that 40 dollars. IHOP is now close by and open 24 hours so as much as it upsets me, i will be eating there from now on, while doing my best to discourage anyone locally not support Waffle House...thanks for ruining something I've enjoyed my entire life

Waffle House waffle house cook

I was eating breakfast at 4 AM July 30 2019. The location was 300 Ag Village Blvd Perry, GA 31069.
Only one waiter in restaurant. She was very nice and took my order. I asked her if she was the cook also. She said she could cook. I saw another Waffle House employee in the parking lot talking to a man. This turned out to be the cook. She finally came in store and the waitress asked her to finish cooking my meal. Cook acted like she did not want to take over and cook. She finally did and headed back to the parking lot and resumed her conversation. This is ridiculous. She was not paid to carry on a conversation in the parking lot. I hope she gets fired for this. Very disappointed.

Waffle House questionable name tag

I recently went to my local Waffle house. I don't go there often so I had not realized some workers were allowed to put nicknames on their tags. I was with my boyfriend and I hadn't looked at the name tags until he noticed one that he thought I should see. One of the younger girls had "Pocahontas Savage" on her tag. Now I do realize Pocahontas is in fact a Disney character but, she is Disney's depiction of a Native American. I don't know if she was referring to Pocahontas being a "savage" in the sense she stood up to her tribe or in the sense that she is a Native American and it is historically accurate to refer to natives as "savages".
I myself am Native American and I didn't appreciate what was on this persons tag. This worker was obviously white but of course I am unaware of her ethnic history. I found her name tag tasteless and offensive. I don't understand how in 2019 a young adult could put the name of a Native American character and the word savage together and not see how that could be upsetting or offensive.

Waffle House service

We visited this Waffle House this morning, July 26 at 5:30 am. Upon entering we were not greeted. And sat for 10 minutes until waitress said oh I'll be with you in a minute... and she continues to wash dishes. When she is done she walks to the food station, we sit 5 more minutes. We ended up getting up and leaving. There was one table with 5 men who had been served, one at the counter who was also served, and no one else in the restaurant. Very disappointed in this experience... negative rating on service.

Waffle House the manager on duty 7/21/19 at night.

After a long ride at outback four wheeler park. My husband, our two friends and I wanted to enjoy some good waffles. We decided to come to this location over others. However, if I knew what would have took place at this waffle house we would have went somewhere else. Of course we had trucks and long trailers, to not cause others problems we rode by the grass and then got into a parking space. Trying to not take up so many parking spaces. As we are parking threw the glass all the employees including the manager pointing. Meanwhile, the rest of the customers are turning around looking as well. A few others walked in front of us. They where greeted by "welcome to waffle house", "hello, how are you?". Soon as we walk through the door the manager yells across the room filled with customers and employees. Hey are yall the people that rode on the grass? Well you can't do that. Everyone in the room looking directly at us. Then proceeds to call law enforcement, as if signs had been posted not to do so. We have done this for years and to be yelled at by a manager seemed a bit uncalled for. She could have simply spoken to us at the table we sat down at. However, she insisted to be rude.

Waffle House harassment

I am black male, a commercial pilot for 26 years. My son is a college graduate from Saint Johns University in New York in Sports Management and works for the NBA in New York. We had driven from New York all night and we were at Waffle house on July 11th 2019 at around 6 am with my son for breakfast. I felt ill and I did not want to throw up in the Waffle House bathroom, so I went outside on grass area in the back, out of sight from customers, and threw up. As I was walking back to meet my son, a white lady waitress accosted me and started harassing me for no reason and gave me the middle finger. She then went forward to get the manager to call the police. The manager called the police on me for nothing because the white waitress lady asked him to. The police came and continued to harass me for no reason. The manager now changed the story that I was trespassing, while I was there with my son spending money and I felt unwell went to comfort myself. This is a case of what I see on videos of a black man being victimized as a criminal even though he is a professional. After the police let me go, one other white waitress came outside looking at my son and I with bad gestures.

I got a call from Anthony the district manager. He was very adamant that the employee was not racially profiling and that they felt they were threatened by my presences and called the police. Lucky for me the police that responded was black and he brushed it aside. Otherwise there are innocent people in prison or dead.

I have video of the incident and if you with to see it I can have my lawyer show it to you.

Waffle House customer service and hygiene

I called to place a 'to-go' order on 7/14/19 and was put on hold for over 5 min by the manager. I hung up and called back over 5x and got vm. I was dealing with a major headache so I was trying to eliminate the wait time at pick-up. I went into the restaurant to place the order and there were at least 10 people behind the counter and on the floor. One person could have been assigned to address pick up orders. While I and others waited for orders or to be seated the manager never apologized for the wait, asked if we were assisted, or showed any sign of proper customer service.
The staff cleaning the tables used the same cloth to wipe down the seating as they did the tables. Gross! Flies swarm around the food without any efforts to keep ones food protected.

I will not be dining at this location again.

Waffle House customer service

We had ordered. It took 20 minutes before we even got our drinks. She took 10 minutes to get a refill. The water cup was dirty. She took 20 minutes before she turned our tickets into the cook. They wiped the gravy off of our plate that didn't have gravy. Instead of simply replacing the plate. The jelly was served on my plate covered in gravy. Very POOR service. Worse service ever!

Waffle House manager on site - wayne

My husband and I went to this location to grab some breakfast after I got off work at 6 am. We were probably there a total of 30 minutes altogether. We weren't even outside 5 minutes when the manager approached us asking if he could help us (we were smoking a cigarette towards the back of the building away from door out of respect of other customers who might not smoke) We answered no, we're waiting on Julie to get back from the store right now (sister in law, rockstar there). Well I was sitting on a milk crate because I have been running around at work all night and my back was killing me. We weren't bothering customers by being obnoxious or asking for money. Rather than approach us nicely to inform us that it's a safety hazard for me to be sitting on the crate (if it even is) he said we should of walked to the store with her instead of loitering. Excuse me we were paying customers less than 10 minutes ago. There were about 3 homeless people hanging out on the sidewalk between the waffle house and store who weren't approached for loitering and didn't buy anything. I wasn't aware of the fact that we couldn't enjoy a cigarette after we were JUST inside being a PAYING CUSTOMER! I've never heard of such a thing at all before. NEVER had any issues before he was just being rude and petty because Julie's 2 weeks are almost over and they don't want her to leave.

Waffle House an employee

I visited this location on 07/07 at approximately 7pm. Normally, I have a wonderful experience at ANY Waffle House I visit. This particular visit was very disturbing. I have never seen management treat an employee so disrespectfully! The employees informed me he is in a new position. He would not provide his last name but his name tag says "King James". He needs a "How to be a Manager" training and to apologize to that young lady for how he talked to her. I wish I could get his schedule so that I'd know when NOT to visit. This store is #2329. All of us (customers) just looked at each other in shock. PLEASE don't let your managers treat your employees disrespectfully. That really made me lose my appetite and I'm most certain the other customers present at that time as well.

Waffle House everything

Sevice was bad, the waitress scratch a food practical off a plate sat it down and proceeded to put food on it. She buttered the toast and wasn't wearing gloves after scrapping the food off plate. and the floors were nasty. there was a bucket of water setting in the booth. Only 3 customers and we had to wait to be seated cause all tables were dirty.

Waffle House cleanliness and speed of service

I an sitting here waiting in my food after Waiting 11 minutes to be acknowledged.
Counter was dirty and not wiped clean.
Dorsey, my server was good, but the rest ignored me. The big girl seems more interested in not doing anything than helping customers. The older gal did no work except cook kn waffle and bark at the rest of the crew. Worst Waffle House experience ever!

Waffle House I was terminated for calling the waffle house complaint line.

I was not receiving the pay or hours I was told I would get I was being verbally harassed at work and when I complained I was told that I would not be retaliated against and I was fired today and my district manager said it was because I complained. I have called all my Supervisors text been to the stores tried to get a transfer and I'm not getting anywhere. Please call me or have someone contact me
