Volkswagen vw gti

Hello, I leased a 2015 GTI and I went so over the mileage I financed the car. Now I find myself with 38 payments left to go at over 500 dollars a month. Basically I'll have bought the car almost twice when Im done. I don't want to spend over 500 dollars a month for the next 3 and a half years. Do I have any options to maybe get rid of the car and buy something with lower monthly payments. Curran VW in Stratford has not been helpful at all with this problem. Any suggestions? Because I feel completely robbed by VW and the chances of me ever buying another VW are zero if you guys can't come up with some creative idea to help me out.

Thank you,
Jeff Sheehan

Volkswagen battery flat

I have taken my car to VW claremont more than a month but they cannot replace my key battery as they said that they waiting on Germany. Both my key batteries says the same thing . Replace battery. if the battery is flat i wont be able to use my vehicle. They said I can have it done at a car dealer but then my warranty will fall away . So how is it that you cannot send the battery and if you go to another dealer you dont keep the warranty. For such a huge enterprise it is really a degree of surprise that you can't replace a battery of the key.

Volkswagen complaint regarding car service

My car, Vento TDI Highline Auto was sent for service to Mehasana Volkswagen Service station in Mehsana, Gujarat, India on the 27th of April, 2019. The service station said that the car would be returned in a period of 15 days as there were some issues with the gear-box. After the said period, when we contacted them for the return of the car, they delayed it by a week again and to this day, they are keeping on delaying the delivery of the car. It's been more than a month since we received the car. Please help.

Volkswagen melting seats

I have had nothing but hassle with the VW and trying to talk to the new CEO, Mr. Scott Keogh.
My seats, the front passenger and rear passenger back seats have burn marks that are flowing out and VW OinonCreek, and now the team is telling to solve the issue lets try another dealership.
Sorry, this will not do. I have had three VW two Jetta, and now a Tiguan and I have yet to any VW asking why these seats are melting and wanted to get a corrective action report to deal with his this issue.

My emails to the VWExecutiveMail@VW.com have fallen ad deaf ears.

I find it increasingly hard to be a loyal supporter when, as you will see below that I am told to see different dealerships to fix a defect in the materials.

Dear Mr. Cardamone,

I apologize you feel we are not gaining ground, but I can assure you I am taking the appropriate steps to resolve your concern. My goal is for you and your wife to be fully satisfied with your Tiguan.

With Onion Creek VW determining the seat concerns were caused by an "outside source" and "denied by the factory", we would stand behind their decision. This is why I recommended a second opinion, as I did not want to leave you with no other options.

This other dealership (Charles Maund VW) may have another answer for you, but if you choose to return to Onion Creek VW, their answer will remain the same and the repairs would be at your expense as they are not warrantable.

In addition, I understand you do not want your wife to wait at the dealership and I completely understand that. I will happily reach out and do my absolute best to schedule an appointment with a loaner vehicle. Please keep in mind the loaner vehicles are property of the dealership and it does depend on the dealership's availability.

Lastly, the executive email address is the only email we have for our CEO. I apologize I cannot provide you with any alternative contact information.

Please let me know if you would like to move forward. If so, I will happily assist with scheduling you an appointment, and I will do my best to get you a loaner vehicle.

Sincerely,

Customer CARE Advocate

Dear Mr. Cardamone,

I am very sorry to hear of this most recent experience at Onion Creek VW regarding the seats in your 2018 Tiguan. Also, I apologize for the response you've received from the service manager.

Did you have an official diagnosis completed at Onion Creek VW? Were you provided with any documentation when someone checked out the vehicle? If so, when and can you please send me any of the documents you've received?

If you have not had an official diagnosis, I would like to have you return to the dealership, as we have a special team here at VWoA called our Region Case Management (RCM) team. I would like to engage this team, as I hope that with the involvement of this team we can determine the cause of your seat concerns.

To move forward and engage this team, we need you to schedule an appointment at a VW dealership, as we need a recent diagnosis to follow up on. You can work with any authorized VW dealership.

With that being said, I can assist you with scheduling an appointment or you can schedule the appointment yourself. Whichever is easier for you is fine with me. If you would like me to schedule this appointment, please respond back with what days and times work best for you.

Please let me know if you have had an appointment, if you have any documents, or if you need an appointment.

I want these concerns to be resolved so that you and your family can enjoy all that your Tiguan has to offer.

Thank you for your time Mr. Cardamone.

Have a great day!

Sincerely,

Volkswagen bigger discount offered when dealer do a finance deal vs cash offer

The Sales Person, Elana Pretorius made us clearly understand that she will give a better discount if we make use of Branch Finance, versus a cash offer. On cash offer discount of R7333.04 were extended whilst discount of R14, 666.09 was extended on car if we make use of Branch Finance. She was also not keen to share Finance cost projections. She also used same Quotation Number 14965, to issue four quotes with different prices. Surely if there are price differences between 4 quotes then she should have offered different Quotations

Volkswagen vw golf

Hello VW customer service,

I am writing to you on behalf of my father who owns a VW Golf that was bought in December 2016 in Israel (IL driving plate ID 5171538). It should be noted that my father is the only one driving this car and that all periodic services were performed on time. My father is 75 years old and drives VW/AUDI cars in the last 40 years, his previous car before the Golf was a VW Passat. The VW Golf mileage at present is 6700 kilometers (six thousand seven hundred km), so practically this is a new car with a very little mileage.
Last week my father encountered a problem: when shifting the gear to reverse the vehicle did not go backwards and an orange warning light appeared in the dashboard. He turned off the engine, waited for few minutes, and managed to start the engine and shift to reverse normally. The following morning he went to ZENI garage in Jerusalem /Israel, they checked the vehicle (the fee for the check was NIS 340, 85 EURUs). The check result was that a computer component is malfunctioning and should be replaced. The cost of this component is nearly 9000 shekels (~2200 EURO). Because of the special circumstances they were willing to give my father a discount of 70%, thus the new sum was 3200 Shekels (~800 EURO). Well, in normal circumstances we would appreciate such discount and would be willing to pay 800 EUROs for the fix, but it is not reasonable that such important component broke in a car with mileage of 6, 700 km (a car that is 2.5 years old). I talked to Champion motors' customer service but they refused to take responsibility and fix the car on their own expense. As I said, my father drives VW cars in the last 40 years with zero problems, up until now. I truly believe problems can happen, after all it is a complicated product, but I expect the company to take responsibility for unreasonable problems such as this one and fix the problem on their own expense. I appreciate your help is resolving this issue as soon as possible, and am available for a phone call if need be, or to provide you with additional information. Here below are my contact details.

Best regards,

Volkswagen defective key barrel, steering wheel lock

In 2012 I was shopping around to buy a new, reliable SUV vehicle and my choice fell on Volkswagen Tiguan. Convinced of my choice, I proceeded to purchase the vehicle from Messrs Continental Cars Ltd, Malta
I must say I have been very pleased with my choice since then but some shortcomings have somewhat started to raise my doubts. During the warranty period (5 years) I have had 2 parking sensors, the wiring of the sensor system, the hatchback motorised lock and the battery replaced due to spontaneous faults.
Only some 2 weeks ago, upon leaving my office, I introduced the key in the barrel but this would simply not turn in any direction. The problem persisted with the spare key. I had the car towed to Continental cars, where I was informed that I needed to replace the barrel and steering wheel lock.
The parts were ordered and arrived in Malta within a week. However I was informed that the steering lock sent was defective and had to be re-ordered. Presently I am waiting for the new lock to be delivered.
In the meantime I have had to hire another car at a daily expense. I am quite surprised that a new car costing €38000 should give me such problems in such a short period of time, besides being disappointed at having to wait further for the new part to be delivered.
Is it possible for your company to compensate in any way to this inconvenience?
Thank you in anticipation
Mark Grima

Volkswagen car service at lindsay saker vereeniging

I took my white Jetta 14.0 TSI in for a service on 06/05/2019. I asked that they service my car and informed the lady at the service reception that car has a heavy fuel consumption which she replied they can do nothing about it. Then I told her that the catalytic converter light comes on and the car misfires. All she said was that it was a normal problem with these cars and that I had to ride it hard for a long distance.
I was asked by two separate people if I needed transport to and fro from my workplace which I did. There was a friendly driver who took me to my workplace and told me that a driver would come and pick me up as soon as my car was done. I got an sms at about 13h52 and was told the amount for the service would be R4092.00. I was told that the driver would phone me when they would leave the workshop. Just after 17h00 I received a phonecall from the service department and was asked when I was going to fetch my car. I told the lady that they were supposed to send somebody to come and fetch me. I was informed that the drivers had left and there was nobody to fetch me. I was asked if she could bring my car to my workplace which I agreed to as everyone else at my workplace had left already. When I got my car back I was informed that if the car misfired I must take it back to the service department and they would fix it for R15000.00. When I was driving home the catalytic converter light came on and it felt as if the car lost power. The next morning it was misfiring and kept cutting out while idling. I am angry because I paid a lot of money to have my car serviced and this is the end result. Nobody even phoned me from the branch the next day to say sorry that they forgot to come and fetch me or if I was having any problems. I would never go back to that place again as it was a waste of money. This morning (09/05/2019) the car was misfiring and cutting out many times while driving to work. I could have caused an accident. I think I should get a refund so that I can take it to a place that knows how to service cars.

Volkswagen car service complaint

I am writing this email with a huge disappointment and frustration.

I am driving a 2.0 GTI DSG Edition 35 2013 model.
I booked my car as normal for service in VW Kimberly for 120 000km's. The car was serviced and it was the last car to be done on that day. Collected the car just after 19:00, as I had to travel 2 days after that day. The car has full service history at VW and never had any issues. This time around to my surprise, 2 days after the service my car started showing an orange engine light. Contacted VW Kimberly to report this and they requested me to bring the car back after a very long call trying to explain. I informed them that i am not comfortable to drive the car back to Kimberly, as I am residing 200km's away from Kimberly. Then eventually the service Manager contacted VW Barons in Postmasburg to check the car for me after i reported the matter to VW SA.
VW Barons wanted to charge me for diagnosing the car of which i refused to pay because i felt it is not fair.
We came to an agreement they booked the car in for checkup, called me later during the day to collect the car. The Engine light was off, took the car drove it with a smile then i travelled as planned. During my trip to PTA (730km's away), the engine light came on again. I continued with my trip and on my return to Postmasburg i reported the matter to VW SA again. They promised to contact both dealerships to gather the case info then give feedback. The promise was not kept and i had to call and follow up.
I was again promised that VW Barons will call me to arrange for the car to be booked again. VW Postmasburg as we speak has moved to Kuruman 130km's away and my engine light is still on. Whatever the cause for the light to be on has started to affect the idling of the car as it idles up and down (high and low revs).
My worry is clearly, there is a problem with the car after this service and it is busy getting worse. In addition, i feel it is extremely unfair how I am treated as a loyal VW driver owning my third VW. This is a high performance car and i cannot take risk of driving the car in such a condition keeping in mind that i am travelling a lot. I am being compromised to enjoy my car in a good state, driving in worry always, as I do not know what is wrong with the car. I am not a mechanic by profession but this is evident enough that the fault on my car is a snowball. I have been driving this car for 4yrs now without any engine faulty lights being on. Now after this service i am experiencing such. Moreover, I know should anything happen to the engine or any mechanical damages on the car i will be required to pay huge amount of money to repair without any assistance from this VW dealer. All i want is assistance and my car to be repaired to its normal state. Hope to hear from you soon.

Your assistance will be much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Tebogo

Volkswagen purchased new 2018 e golf dec 2018.

5545 miles on the odometer.

Driver seat in area of upper right back has defective internal support. Characterized by seat back popping as driver shifts weight or moves in seat during acceleration or executing turns. This problem has been present since i took delivery

Santa Cruz Dealer service manager states that I need to take to 3rd party service company. The service company says they need to disassemble seat to trouble shoot. Dealer tells me that they (VW) will not cover until bill is confirmed as valid repair.

This should be a warranty repair, for which I should NOT be required to execute on dealers service/ repair responsibility.

Volkswagen service with my car

my 2015 jetta that i purchased brand new, suddenly began skipping gears and jerking,
i took it to the dealership and i got this bullcrap line that said ."well our transmission fluid is clear"
so we will not honor your warrenty
this car has not been touched by anyone
i spoke to another volkswagon dealer and he said the transmission fluid is not clear and reaching the transmission fluid is not a easy task
I also spoke with repair facility and they also said the fluid is not clear and that we are getting the run around period,
and that this car should not be having any transmission issues.I contacted volkswagon before and was treated poorly by the person who contacted me.My car is still not running and i have gotten no service, The fluid that is in that car was in it when the car was brought.Noone has touched or topped the transmission fluid off at anytime,
And from what the other dealership told me, it's something that cannot even be done during a routine oil change, You sold us a bum car and are failing to honor your warrenty over a bogus fluid issue
how can several dealerships and repair facilities be wrong and the dealership where we brought the car be right ?
we feel very mislead and decieved by volkwagon on this issue.
honor your warrenty,
don't just give me the bull about clear fluid

there was still no written explanation to what the exact problem is with the transmission.
The idiots were too busy telling us
Their fluid is clear that they use, and when they drained our fluid the color is wrong so thefore they will not honor the warrenty.
Its a bumm deal and bumm warrenty that was never intended to be honored

Volkswagen 2009 passat

Good Morning,

I have a 2009 Passat Vehicle Identification No.: Wvwzzz3cz9p042793. I bought it from the dealership in Cairo brand new. I used it for three years then traveled and left it unused for another three years. I did all the required maintenance at the authorized dealers and on time. Now the odometer reads 68771 KM only. After I came back and started to used the car, the transmission started to make noises and vibrations then stopped completely to shift gears higher than the 2nd gear. I took it to Egyptian Automotive (Abou Rawash) in Cairo on the 4th of April 2019. They informed me that my car is experiencing the well known issue of a mechatronic unit that has to be replaced. That will probably be followed by thee gearbox replacement. That will cost about 70, 000.00 LE. I can not accept that a VW German car, that only traveled less than 70000 KM, would need a new gearbox and mechatronic. I was informed that this is a very common issue in my car model. In addition their has been recalls based on previous complaints regarding this issue in Egypt. The authorized local dealer refused to fix my car based on a goodwill because it has been more than 3 years as it is out of warranty. I feel that a VW car should be good for more than 70000KG without this major repair needed. If something like that happens I feel that VW should support their products and solve the problem not at this significant cost.
Please investigate this issue with the local dealer in Cairo, Egypt and let me know what should I do.
Thanks and best regards

But when today i approached them they said it's just add on warranty and for the very next time i have to pay more like 21000 INR approx. They did fraud with me . We went to the dealership for the first oil changes, The others were done at jiffy lube, Not once has anyone ever topped off or touched the transmission on that car.Last year we did have a collission with a Deer which cause major damage, However the repair place swears they had no need to touch the transmission, ON march 1 we took our jetta to the dealership because the transmission suddenly started jerking and making a grinding noise.
Thier response was,
"the transmission fluid is not clear"
This isnt our fluid and volkswagon is not going to honor the warrenty
As of today I spoke with another volkswagon dealership and they stated, that Thier fluid is no clear, And that you cannot even acess the transmission fluid without a breakdown of the car,
So we have a car thats almost 4 years old we cannot get our warrent honored, And the transmission is totally gone !
The oil changes were done regularly and noone at the facilities ever touched or topped off the transmission fluid, so volkswagon wants thier money monthly for the cost of the car but you cannot honor your warrenty?
Knowing that the car cannot be just topped off at any time it requires a breakdown,
And the car has never been touched by anyone but yet the transmission has gone to dogs.I work everyday and and not having my car is not a option,
I guess court is our next recourse, Because we need our car repaired and our warrenty honored, So if one place has clear fluid and another dealership doesn't
Why are we being punished, and we never touched the transmission fluid and neither has anyone else, The fluid in the car is what was in the car apparently.
Or it that we are punished for not using the dealership for oil changes etc,
I'm sure everyone who purchases a volkswagon doesnot go to the dealer for every single oil change on thier cars, For a all day wait for that service.
We were told that the fluid should be synthetic,
But just because it's not clear does not mean that someone has added the wrong fluid,
My dealer stated that their fluid is not clear,
I purchased my v.w beetle at different volkswagon dealership,
and they have told me, That they have not heard of clear transmission fluid,
their fluid is not clear.
I really feel i'm being robbed and basically screwed over, for something I have no knowledge of at all,
And hat my warrenty on my car should be used for this faulty transmission, Am I being punished because I don't go to the dealership for everything?

I will seek a attorney for this matter, Because I feel that I am being treated poorly on this matter.I have checked where my oil changes were done I checked where my repair was done for the wreck.Noone touched the transmission at anytime at all,
or topped off the fluids.

have gone to several repair places and even went to other volkswagon dealships
everyone says we are being done improperly on this situation,
and to just keep it at the wrong fluid is in the car,
never even said exactly what happened to the darn transmission,
"Well our fluid we us is clear is what we are being told and with that volkswagon willnot honor your warrenty because you let someone top off your transmission fluid, "
and that has never happened!

We have spread the word about the treatment we have gotten on this matter.
and it is wrong period.
I have a beetle that I will sell because I no longer feel volkswagon is a good company at all.

2015 jetta purchased new
Transmission suddenly started jumping and making noise,
Never had any work done to transmission never had it topped off, Backtracked at all places where oil changes were done on the car.
My warrenty is not being honored because The dealership states that thier fluid is clear,
We have a second volkswagon that is a beetle purchased at another dealership and they stated that thier transmission fluid is not clear,
and that if we have not had trans mission work done on the car ever that you cannot just acess the transmission fluid on the jetta like you can on other cars, The car would have to be broken down and in the shop.
So basically I am being punished for not having my oil changes done at the dealership ?
Never had the chance to be without my car allday to drop it at dealer for just a oil change.
It was a new car I didnt need any other work done on the car.
But out of the blue the transmission just started jumping jerking and making noise, And my warrenty will not be honored over the color of the transmission fluid that is in the car?
Volkswagon charges too much for these cars to not want to honor the warrenties,
I think we will trade in our second volkswagon and will never buy again and want people to know you will be held liable even if you have never had the items touched on your car, Don't think volkswagon will help with thier cars they sell .
It stinks !
I need my car repaired but i am suppossed to keep paying for a car that cannot be honored by the warrenty when I know I have never had the transmission touched by anyone ever,
this is a real bad way to handle customers who think that the warranties on their cars are any good, My car cannot even be driven to and from work without it jumping all over, But yet my car with 51000 miles just sits now my warrenty not honored because of fluid color !
this is a discrace !
never ever will we buy volkswagon again or recommend anyone to buy one.
I will be contacting my lawyer to take this to court, Maybe even the news so other owners are aware, if your not using your dealership,
Don't expect your warrenty to be honored on your car

I am not a loyal volks wagon fan,
I was but I will never purchase another and will be selling my beetle that I purchased, I think that we have been given a very rotten treatment and treated like we are idiots,
I know exactly what we were told and they said the color of their fluid was clear at thie dealership of bob penkhus volkswagon,
Kept the car almost 2 weeks and all we got was crap about the color of the transmission fluid.and then saying the warrenty will not be honored because it has the wrong fluid in the car.
if the wrong fluid is in the car they sold it to us that way.
I have also been told that a person cannot just go and top off the fluids in those cars like you can a checy or other cars,
volks wagon just doesn't want to honor their warrenty

Hi Adrienne.

With respect, when a service tech states that, "the fluid isn't clear, " he/she is likely referring to the fluid having debris in it. This isn't referring to the oil changes, but more than likely refers to the concern of how the repairs to a damaged vehicle was handled. Was the repairs done by an AUTHORIZED VOLKSWAGEN SERVICE CENTER?

no we were told very clearly that the fluid COLOR is supposed to be clear
and we also went to another volkswagon dealership and were told that is not correct,
And also that no one can just top off the fluid during a routine oil change. That we are just being pushed aside for something that is not our fault and the car should be taken care of.
We have never had any transmission work done to the car.
I also went to a reputal foreign car repair who only works on audi, volkswagon etc
and he told me that the fluid is not clear in color it has a reddish tint,
and it sounds to them that our car was defective and no one wants to own up to it

Shaun R,
What repairs are you specifically asking about?
the front end repairs done to car were done through a body shop the auto ins comp sent us too.
We have not had any other repairs done to the car prior to that, The car was taken to dealership when transmission began skipping.
The transmission n just started choking and skipping all of a sudden,
there were no other signs the car was starting to have issues,
So now it sits because the warrenty is failing to be honored.
the body work was done at service king, after the car had a run in head on with a deer.
That has nothing to do with the warrenty we were under the impression we had with the car.
We never had any transmission work ever done on the car, the car has only 5100 miles on it.
It was never neglected or driven hard,
And contrary to your post,
They specifically stated the transmission fluid was the wrong color for that vehicle, and that the fluid they use is clear in color,
so the car sits and no one wants to handle the obvious problem, So it remains unsolved
We have made sure we spread the word to others donot purchase volkswagon,
And my wife will be selling her recently purchased beetle, She did not purchase brand new and fears that if her car should begin acting up, she has no idea what the previous owner has done to that car.
it's just rotten to pay for something that you cannot even use

Volkswagen Dealer and car problem

Dear sir/madam,

My name is yasar siser from kayseri/ turkey. I had a problem with my year 2015 vw polo. My car is now 5750 km and when I was driving 10.10.2018 (car was 4000km) car showed up a "pull the car and change the the shift to p". I have purchased this car on 2015 to my wife and we trusted vw brand. We have opened a case in turkey "aykon motor" and they told us to wait until germany headquarter to return our problem. But it has been 6 months from that date. They have given me a call from general distributor "doğus oto", they said on the phone, this is not important problem and you can keep drive your car. Also, they were angry because this is the 4th email and phone call to you. 4000 km vw shift giving a error and no one accept the problem. Please I am very angry and sad about the stuation. Also, I am afraid to drive the car last 6 months. I am waiting for reasonable return to my problem.

For more information please do not hesitate to contact.

Best regards,

Yasar siser

Volkswagen Volkswagen 2015 certified pre-owned windshield wipers

I purchased a certified pre-owned beetle on february 10, 2019. I am in los angeles, california.
When I was test driving the car, I turned the wipers on and they made a very loud noise.

The sales representative told me it was because there wasn't enough rain on the window so I thought nothing of it.

The next day, we had a rain storm the windshield wipers were making the same extremely loud highly distracting noise when turned on even with a lot of rain pouring down.

I took my new certified pre-owned beetle car back to the dealership feb. 19th.
They could not reproduce the noise.

Then I took a video of the horrible loud distracting noise the wipers make every day when I get into my car and wipe water off of my windshield. I sent the video to pacific volkswagen where I bought the car in hawthorne, california.

They said all volkswagen windshield wipers make that horrible distracting loud noise. I used to sell cars. I have never heard windshield wipers make that loud noise unless they were broken or defective.

I was wondering if this is true? And what can be done with the defective wipers on my new certified pre-owned beetle.
