Volkswagen vw toureg gps

Just wanted to let you know that the GPS system on our new Toureg is frustratingly poor. We recently drove from Calais to Denmark and back and the number of main roads and even motorways that were not on the GPS system were so many it suggested that the mapping was years out of date. The GPS also makes the most ridiculous route choices where we live so who knows what choices it makes in areas we are not familiar with. VW apparently doesn't believe a good GPS system is important. To some of us it is, even to the point of effecting our decision making process when selecting a new car.

Volkswagen 2011 tiguan engine oil leak

I first bought this 2011 Tiguan from VW dealer in 2011. Ant it was maintained yearly and used as a family car. Its mileage is 49, 227 now but started to leak oil from its 2.0 TSI engine. The VW dealer told me the repair cost is $1, 730.61 on me. In my humble opinion, this is VW Engine design defect. Should VW cover that cost? How come a Engine start to leak oil at such a low mileage? By googling, it seems to be common issue to VW TSI engine. Should VW recall that car? Thank you!

Volkswagen volkswagen hk tech crew member openly insulted customer on fb

My Touran GT 1.4 was inspected and serviced by VW HK @ less than 12000km. Then the gearbox has vibration issue and needs to be taken out for repair.

I complained to VW HK. Its tech crew member insulted me openly on a local VW owner Facebook forum, saying that I am a defective human driver that needs fixing, and that I should drive my car directly from Hong Kong to Germany for better inspection by the VW HQ.

Volkswagen vw jetta 2012 manual 2.5 se

10/29/18

To whom it may concern,

In 2012, I leased new and then bought the VW Jetta 2012 in Delray Beach, FL with vin/hull ID 3VWBP7AJ5CM040822.

Unfortunately, this vehicle has been in and out of the dealership since 2012 with multiple issues. I am disappointed because it is still a new car and I take good care of the vehicle. Yet, any time that I brought it in for an issue, experienced mechanics stated that they had never seen issues like mine before and determined it was not caused by user error. The product does not work properly and currently the compressor is out and I have been driving without A/C for a long time. I have brought my car a minimum of 8 times over the last 3 years for major repairs. It has been costly and I am frustrated. This car has cost me over 5, 000 dollars minimum just in the last 3 years.

To resolve the problem, I would appreciate a free repair of my vehicle or compensation in order to purchase a different vehicle. I have multiple records that I would be willing to send if requested, but didn't want to bombard this form with all of the receipts.

I will look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem. I will wait until 11/5/18 before seeking assistance from a consumer protection agency or BBB. Please contact me by mail or phone.

Sincerely,

Lucas DeMonte

Volkswagen motor vehicle

My 2015 VW vivo, 48 000km, Full service at the VW agents, stock standard from the factory, still under factory warranty, caught alight after starting. Car completely burnt out. Was reported to VWSA on the 3/09/2018. Still no compensation from them, instead I get a rehearsed answer about "waiting feedback from VW Germany" I've been in communication with VWSA and absolutely no feedback as to where they are in resolving this matter, instead I get the same rehearsed response. Why is it so difficult to finalize this matter, I've been affected financially as my car was my means of earning an income to support my family.

Volkswagen miss diagnosis on touareg in spain

Our Touareg 2016 developed a fault and went to limp mode, It was driven to Sala Marina Alicante. The diagnosis's was new turbo and inlet manifolds at 3250 euros. (I do have a quotation for this repair)The vehicle was repatriated back to the UK to VW Stafford.upon inspection it found no faults and nothing wrong with the vehicle. Reg no. T20VEN. The Spanish dealership also deleted the fault information from the vehicle
The car was in its third yr of warranty and that would mean the payment would have to be paid by myself and reclaimed on my return to the uk.
This dealership does not deserve to be associated with the VW network and I would like it to be investigated.

Volkswagen vw golf sportwagen tsi rotors

Worst and surprising problem with the 2016 Golf Sportwagen TSI when our brand new vehicle in less than a year needed new rotors. They pulsate when used on a steep downhill interstate; but not on a level road or at a stop sign when used?! VW and dealer provided (?) new rotors at 13000 as a good will problem with no explanation as to why...I knew this would occur again due to the apparent thin and cheap rotors. It did 25000+ miles later at around 40000. No help or support from dealership, Cutrubus, Layton, UT or from VW customer advocate? & Regional Case Mgr. They call it a wear item?! so no coverage after 12, 000 miles. Now the vehicle with warped rotors and glazed pads need $550 replacement. I believe I will have an independent service company do it rather than VW dealership. This was the absolute lack of integrity from dealer and VW Company and even unethical and I am too tired to continue with a battle. Who knows of any other vehicle that needs new rotors at 13000 miles and now the third set at 40, 000?VW rotors known to be thin but why cheap?! We do not ride the break ever and do not slam on brakes. I shift down much of the time

Volkswagen 2011 tiguan

I don't even know where to start...We purchased this vehicle because we thought "German engineering" how could we go wrong, right?
Well how wrong were we.
The vehicle has had problems ever since we bought it.
6 months after purchasing the vehicle brand new, the fuse box melted. Fuel injectors have been changed, alternator replaced, melted hoses and fittings, power steering has gone out (Twice!), coolant leaks and coolant reservoir replaced, oil leaks, fan belts replaced, interior lining completely falling down, engine always running hot, sensors not working properly, etc.
The local dealership's service department is always booked and very expensive to get things fixed.
I would expect at least to have some of these issues resolved at no cost to me.
I will never purchase another Volkswagen again and I advise all my friends and family to do the same.

Volkswagen peeling and bad quality paint

I bought a Passat 2012 from 'Egyptian Automotive & Trading Company S.A.E " Obour branch -the official agent for volkswagen in Egypt, and had used to make maintenance there in that branch.
In October 2016 there were many scratches in the body of the car, and I went to the same branch and they renewed this paints which was in the majority of car sites, front, back doors ... except the roof.
After about one year and half some parts the newly painted parts of the car peeled and the new paint removed!
and till now the paint is still removing and peeling from many parts in the car, which make the car very shaming in appearance.
Actually I'm sending this mail to you to find the suitable solution for that deteriorating situation which is not matching with such company which I like it.
NB: some photos for peeling parts are attached
appreciate your prompt action.

Volkswagen service and lies

Hi I'm an owner of vw tiguan 2018 2.0 tdi high line R line. My car went in for its first service on 31 August 2018 at vw Newcastle BRANCH my kilometres 15000. On 22 September 2018 I was on my way to Gauteng before I reached my destination I heard a loud soun when braking. I stopped n noticed my rear brakes were metal to metal. I called vw assist Lash a from vw Kempton park came to have a look on my vehicle n was amazed to hear that my car was serviced only 3 week ago n I have done by now 3000km he said I can't use the vehicle n it had to towed in the dealership in kemtem park on Tuesday morning as it was a long weekend. we got a hired car n went back home to Newcastle on Monday. Tuesday morning I went to be Newcastle and spoke to a service adviser Marlin and asked him wat was the procedure when a vehicle is booked in for service and he explained that a minor service is done n braking checked he then callledthe mechanic that serviced my vehicle and he told us that the rest pads looked fine with his eyes. (he said he never measured the thickness but judged with his eyes) Marlin then took me up stairs to c the workshop manager he pulled the job card which was already filed away and asked the mechanic if he checked the brakes n he said the same thing yes only visually Boyce work shop for man began to use valger language on the mechanic as on the check sheet brakes was ticked checked but no measurement written down I seen this with my own eyes. Boyce words to mechanic (y the [censored] u did not measure the pads with a tool or even a viniar n then told him you willpayfor the cost) this was all in front of me. I then laid an official complaint customer care. Lash the the mechanic from Kempton Park guaranteed me that it was complete negligence on Newcastle vw. I then phoned Newcastle vw Marlin service adviser and asked him if they had Any feed back on this matter and he explained to me that it was normal ware n they have done nothing wrong.
I was shocked just the day before they had a problem in the way the mechanic checked my car n now everything is right. Customer care has sent a cic feedback report to lash from Kempton Park the last time I called him at 1600 today 26th he said usually with a cic u must respond within 6 hours of my complaint n he can not give a report till he has the cic. he even asked me to check if the complaint has been lodged.
I feel vw Newcastle have done us wrong put my family and I lives in danger it could of been worst (no brakes an accident) spolit our whole weekend. N all they can say it's not their fault. I am a witness to check sheet that was shown to me by Boyce Newcastle vw n no measurement were taken. If Newcastle vw sends a report with measurement I am willing to swear under oat n even take a lie detecter test. I have no trust in them.
Please advise as I want to take this to highest authority. Kempton Park has made it clear to me of their negligence.
Thanks Ahmed Cassim

Volkswagen passat 2010

Dear Sir

i owe a Volkswagen Passat model 2010 TOP Version.

from day one i bought the car - all maintenance are being done by the agent in Egypt.

suddenly i faced the common problem of the gear and the car stopped in the street and did not move.

on 10.08.2018 i put the car on a truck and deliver it to the agent who advise the there is a problem in the gear box ( mecatronic part ) and within 6- 8 weeks your car will be repaired.

they advised that i will bear 40% of the part cost and 50 % of the manpower cost .

now is almost 6 weeks and no one called me from the agent to know what happened with the spare parts.

needless to tell you how much i suffer without my own car and using every day taxis in my transportation and daily work.

appreciate your help and quick feedback.

Volkswagen dogus oto - vimsa

Hello,
I have had an traffic accident with my car on June 30, 2018 just a few months after buying it. After traffic accident i left my car to the nearest authorized service (Vimsa Otomotiv-Şanlıurfa). They predicted repair time as 15 days but they did not complete. I asked for another car instead of mine to use but they did not provide. I also informed Turkey distributor (Doğuş Otomotiv). No one informed me enough about repair process. Although they specified repair time as 15 days, they delivered my car on August 7, 2018 (39 days after accident). And because of a voice that not exist before i left it again to the same authorized service on August 9, 2018 and informed Turkey distributor. At this point they provided a car instead of mine for the first time. They did not inform me about the process during 5 days and after that i sent a notary public to both institution to protest. The repair took 10 days more and they delivered my car to me on August 18, 2018. On August 27, 2018 when i was in my hometown, because of low level water alarm i applied to an authorized service (Beşer-Mardin). They filled water and told me there is no problem. On August 30, 2018 low level water alarm repeated. It is investigated and then they told me that there is a hole in the water hose. I asked for a car instead of mine to use. They did not provide again. Repair time took 6 days. And yesterday on September 17, 2018 i again took my car to authorized service (Vimsa Otomotiv-Şanlıurfa). There was an asymmetry in the front part of car, a problem with opening of engine bonnet properly and unpainted areas. I have left my car again for repair and i have been waiting for repair process again. Finally, because of lack of quality, they left me in a very difficult situation during repair process and it is still going on. They did not repair on time and did not provide car instead of mine during the process. I have nothing else to do but i am going to use my legal right. So, because of disturbing you, i am so sorry. I just wanted to inform you and i wonder if you have any sanctions against institutions in Turkey?
Thanks in advance...

Volkswagen service

My vehicle Volkswagen Vento KL 54 F 6600 is found to have rust on its running board.[protected]
This is not expected from a German brand and I need immediate attention from service team to resolve this issue ASAP.
With respect to yesterdays discussion, my vehicle was taken to service centre by 11.20 am by my driver.
After 10 mints, body shop manager attended my vehicle.
He said the rust was because of improper painting done.
Informed him, painting was not done on the rusted side of running board.
But he kept on saying that it is because of the painting. I asked him to give in writing that the painting was done on the rusted running board.
After 10 mints he informed driver that this can be painted in warranty and asked to bring the vehicle on Monday

I callled the CRM to know the details of service update on Monday, but she did not pick call.
2nd time I called again. She answered the call and said she does not have proper updates. Since she has no clarity, she is not in a position to update me.
I asked for the contact number of Body shop manager. She shared number.

I called the Body shop manager. 1st time number busy for 10 mints. I called again after few mints, he didnot pick up.

I called CRM again to inform the same, but now she is also not answering any calls.

Just now service manager contacted me and he told they will send the details to Volkswagen after that they will confirm the updated status.
Last 6 days i didn't get any calls from dealer side

Pls involve this case and do the best ASAP.

Volkswagen sales experience at vw of elgin, il

Hi,

I'd like to submit a formal complaint regarding the sales tactics that I was subjected to at the VW of Eglin, IL dealership.

On Friday 9/21/2018 I was looking at their website and others because I was looking for a 2018 VW Alltrack. They had a new Alltrack come up. I used the get price button. I received 3 calls immediately and a online response. The online person was very nice and answered all my questions. We discussed a deal they had on Labor Day on a 2017 VW Alltrack with a $8, 000 discount and she did a nice job of explaining the details. When I asked for the price on the 2018 VW Alltrack they just listed she said the Manager, Marco, would not provide a price unless I came into the dealership because he needed to know I was serious. Despite it being late on a Friday and I had already made dinner plans I agreed to meet Marco because he would just take 10 mins and give me a price. I agreed to meet at 8:00PM. When I got there he was busy so a sales rep went to get the car so I could look at it. The car just got their and had not been checked in so I could not drive it which is fine since I just wanted the price.

When Marco freed up he came by. When I asked for a price he said he could provide a discount of $1, 500 off MSRP and perhaps a little more depending on what financing I needed. Obviously I was surprised about how little of a discount he was offering. I mentioned that VW of Crystal Lake was offering at $5, 000 discount on their site for the same vehicle. The Sales Associate said, " This must be VW of Libertyville because he had an experience where the advertised price on the internet
and they took him through a process that ended up jacking the price up. I said that is what they have on the internet. Marco said, "They put a lot of things on the internet"... I found that to be offensive as it suggests that their competition is dishonest. Now mind you, on VW of Elgin's website they have discount on the Jetta wagon starting at $6, 000. Marco, says "Oh that is for the Sport Wagon and that VW has no incentives for the Alltrack at this time". I said to Marco, "why couldn't you have just told me that your discount was $1, 500"? He looked at me with a stupid grin as if this was somehow amusing to him.

Now logically I would have expected a offer that would have been somewhere around $5, 000 that other dealerships had or because I made the effort to come because they insisted and Maria said "Marco will work with you", maybe some where closer to what they were offering on the other models. Maybe my logic was off but not that far off.

So to test out the theory I was to VW of Fox Valley in St. Charles. I was greeted by a Sales Rep, Fernando Rodriguez. He asked me what I was looking for. I told him. He showed me the cars. I asked for the price and told him that I saw these on the internet. I asked if there was any room on that price and he said there might be some. The discounts they were advertising were between $5, 000 and $6, 000. Just as advertised. If it were not for the color of the vehicle, they only had blue. I took his card and he treated me with the kind of respect and intelligence that I would expect. I will be checking their site for new arrivals as I have been doing and I will be contacting Fernando when I see the car I want. This is HOW YOU SHOULD DO BUSINESS.

Bottom line, I made it clear where I was in terms of price. I made it clear that I did NOT want to come into the dealership without knowing the price so as to NOT waste time. Especially on a Friday evening after a week of work and having cut my dinner out with my wife short just to come in at their request. I was NOT treated with respect and certainly NOT as an intelligent consumer who had done their research which unless your are a complete IDIOT you should have know. They disparage their competition but don't practice a ethical approach. IF YOU HAVE A PRICE REQUEST TOOL ON YOUR WEBSITE THEN PROVIDE THE PRICE! This would have eliminated all of this. I feel this dealership uses deceptive practices and is still stuck in the OLD AGES where consumers have to come to prove "They are serious". A $1, 500 discount where your competition has a starting point at $5, 000 discount and having me come in requiring me to adjust my personal time IS NOT SERIOUS, NOT RESPECTFUL, and a COMPLETE FARCE.

I am a long time VW customer. I can tell you that this is now in serious question for me, my family and my friends. I will be sharing my wonderful customer experience on social media so that everyone can be WARNED of this dealership.

I hope that VW has some sort of oversight on dealership practices. If not, you will lose customers.

Volkswagen defects on a new car

I purchased a new polo tsi, after driving it for 30km I felt a brake shudder, rear tailgate rattle and a light came on for an airbag malfunction.

I sent the car back to the dealers, I am now without my car for more than 2 weeks.

It is totally unacceptable that I should be paying insurance and interest on finance for a car that is at a dealership getting fixed.

I purachsed a new Car and I am experiencing this issues, I would make sure none of my friend, family members or myself ever purchase a VW in future.

Volkswagen bad service

I have a VW Tiguan I took it in for service. No one phoned me the whole day to tell me the progress on the car. I had to catch a lift to the dealership. When I got there the service lady Sahira told me she couldn't get ahold of me coz she had the wrong number and this is after I gave them my number when I dropped my car off. While I was standing there the dealership driver called me to ask where must he fetch me from. Then I took the keys to get my car and my car was not parked properly. When I reversed my front bumper scraped from the pavement. Then the service manager Barry Sirmon was called and he came around but did not bother to greet me, introduce himself to me and didnt apologize at all... I was very disgusted with the service provided by VW fourways.
