Virgin Active South Africa poor service from start and i'm still being debited

I have had an absolute nightmare signing up with Virgin Active, from the sales rep Elvis Qudedalele, to his manager Muneeb Osman, to Anthony Plaatjies - Customer Service Multimedia Agent, and even to a manager Kay Johnson who promised to get back to me beginning of December and did not. I have been debited again this month!

I initially joined the gym with good intensions in February, the service was so pathetic I stopped using the gym in April. The transaction had not been completed with the back and forth of Elvis and Muneeb, and therefore decided to stop using the gym. Due to the pathetic service and incomplete transaction, i requested cancellation of membership in June, I had made no mention of seeing the club manager, but yet Anthony responded to me saying ''As discussed, I will await your email with the email thread between yourself and the club manager.''

I have been debited every month even though I had sent numerous emails to cancel as this service was not complete. Kay Johnson mentioned that she will speak to the club manager and arrange for the cancellation... and i am still waiting for feedback with another debit going off yesterday.

Virgin active steals money from individuals. The transaction was not satisfied between both parties therefore the contract should be null and void. I even told Kay Johnson that I dont want to be refunded just cancel the premiums, but this is fraud. The contract was not satisfied!

I will be opening a case at the police station and will go viral if my cancellation does not get processed, and my December premium refunded as KAY JOHNSON was the MANAGER that did not get back to me as promised.

Pathetic SERVICE virgin active!

Virgin Active South Africa nudity

Sexual offences act 32 of 2007 art. 22. A person (‘‘A'') who unlawfully and intentionally, whether for the sexual gratification of A or of a third person (‘‘C'') or not, exposes or displays or causes the exposure or display of the genital organs, anus or female breasts of A or C to a child complainant(‘‘B''), with or without the consent of B, is guilty of the offence of exposing or displaying or causing the exposure or display of genital organs, anus or female breasts to a child.
I am a member of Virgin Active .I have a great concern about adult males parading in total nude in front of children in the change room of the club, these men will shave in the nude, walk around in the nude and will make no effort in covering themselves up with a towel. Also there are no signs to warn children of the nudity.Pls see above act, i feel that Virgin Active, by allowing this, is making it very easy for pedophiles to parade nude in front of children.

Virgin Active South Africa legal account

We received a random call earlier this year from legal team confirming that MR E W COETZEE owes money to VIRGIN ACTIVE.

We cancelled per phone after 1 year as the member only went to the gym +-2 times in the year. We confirmed if all is in order and was confirmed that membership is cancelled. We should only check that the debit is also cancelled on our bank account. Now after 7 years whe get demands for payment on 2 different reference numbers and no matter how many emails that is sent to confirm please provide accounts no response. We gave our PO BOX address when we started the gym and have up to date not received any correspondence with regard to account.

the debit order was cancelled by VIRGIN Active and we can get proof of needed.

I am really disappointed that after discussing with your employees and getting confirmation we are at wrong and owe money.

Could somebody please look into this matter as it is not good customer service.

Virgin Active South Africa payment over charged deducted wrongly, wrong information given,

I was wrongly deducted on my account after freezing it for a month.
Half has been deducted as confirmed on the phone but the second half, I got my full fee of R750 deducted. In other words its useless to freeze my account for one month.

Also, I was mis informed about the peak times, being from 05h-08h in the morning and then after 16h-21:30h
Peak time in the afternoon has always been between 16h-19h. NOW they changed the off peak suddenly from 08h to 16h only.

Even if I come at 20h at night when peak time is long over, this doesn't make sense and no info of this was given.

Virgin Active South Africa service

Joined virgin active beginning of october - october special if you join october
Month is for free, excl. Joining fees. And incl. A wonderful voucher.

I signed up end of september, made arrangements to pay the joining fee in 2
Months, it was agreed, next week received a call to advise me the rest of the fee
Amount will be debited from my account on the 1st of october (not what was
Agreed) they asked me to go in to discuss, I went in and they confirmed in order
To qualify for the voucher I need to let the debit order go through for the remaining
Fees (which I didn't have) however to get the voucher I paid the remaining, my first
Debit order was unsuccessful as I requested the debit date to be the 25th, I immediately arranged to be re debited which was successful, however I didn't received my voucher, I was only advised after all this that the debit order can't be on the 25th only the 1st, I feel this was unfair practice. I would like to get my voucher, alternatively cancel my subscription

Virgin Active South Africa virgin active south africa promo's are a hoax!!!

I recently joined Discovery Vitality and opened a Virgin Active premium membership. I qualified for the September Promo where you get a R1200 take-a-lot voucher or R750 Woolies voucher. The sales guy did not give me any terms and conditions of the promo but distinctively advised that I would only get the voucher once the first payment is made. At month end I went to my branch and made the payment, now I apparently no longer qualify for the voucher as there is an apparent terms & conditions clause that states the payment must be made via debit order. This is complete bull crap and the worst part is the sales guy and the call centre manager are too busy arguing about who needs to take responsibility for the matter and it's been a week since either one has gotten back to me! I WANT MY VOUCHER I AM ENTITLED TOO!

Virgin Active South Africa hidden amounts

I am Zikhona, I have signed a contract to Kelvin from Beacon Bay branch. Kelvin phoned me in previous months and approched me about he took my number from virgin active system I have him a chance to visit me at my work he came I kept in making stories because I once signed virgin active contract with another sales lady who was Sinazo Binta I was not happy with the contract I payed more than I was expecting, I explained myself to Kelvin his first question was do i have discovery medical aid and vitality and I was under discovery and vitality then Kelvin offered me a gym of R200 monthly because ones under vitality and he told me that i will be paying once off few of R915 to activate my vitality of which that time I didn't have the R915, I told him I am not going to sign the contract yet because I don't have the activation fee. He said no I must sign now he is giving me a big discount of gyming free for a month for me and my spouse I must only R50 I told him I will be having the R915 end of the month which was going to be August 2019 I payed the R50 but I never had the chance to go to the Gym due to work . 26 August debit order of R650 went out of my account debited by virgin active I quickly contacted head office doing Enquire I was told that this is my monthly fee and I was surprised I told the consultant know but I am under vitality my contract that i thought I am signing for is for R200 monthly they told me that i must first do the link off which I didn't know anything about that the only thing I knew was R915 to activate my vitality which I was suppose to pay and if August 2019. I was advised to call the main branch beacon bay I did so they gave me appointment on the same day I went there and I was told to wait for the manager off which the manager was with Kelvin by the time I was signing the contract. The manager told me I must sort the issue with Kelvin, I had to wait for Kelvin he came I wanted to know about the R650 that was debited on my account he said to me because I didn't have the R915 to activate the vitality this what I was supposed to be paying at the moment so I must come and if the month and pay R915 once off, I never argued with him I said okay I went out of the office and I phoned the head office again my only option was to cancel the contract once and for all because the man who made me to sign the contract did not give a damn about me about how I feel he could care my R650 that i was not aware off was taken away from I could have bought my children food for that R650 but he did not give a damn and on top of that he is expecting me to pay R915 once off . I went to my bank and reversed my money after not receiving any help, I phoned again head office to cancel the contract I was told to pay R1300 +R2600 for cancellation fee and then the last that was assisting me advised me to go to another branch instead of doing cancellation and pay the once off fee R915 and activate my vitality then negotiate the R1300 than loosing my money on cancellation, I went to virgin active in Quigney I explained my matter then I was told that they can't assist me there because their once off fee is less than what I supposed to paying in beacon bay. I emmediately gave up, I have done my research on the internet for complaints I have lodged my complaints and I recieved nothing, I do not know anymore the steps that i must take now must I pay the months that i ma behind with which they cost me R650 per month and pay cancellation fee and pretend that nothing happened where's a man who have hidden the monthly premiums is recieving his salary full salary month by month is free and does not give a damn about me and I must loose the money that I am working for my children's money and pretend nothing happened, this is for the second time now it happens once and I payes the cancellation fee and moved on, I trusted a man who was convincing me a R200 monthly gym fee an signed the contract what must I do now can someone there help and tell me what steps must I take now

Virgin Active South Africa promotion not honored

Good day I am email to express my disappointment with the club . I did sign a member few months ago and was promised to get one month free (which was the month of September 2019). But strangely this has never been effective. I still get my monthly debits.
Kindly do fix this and allocate me with my 1 month free, because it's due to me since the new member was signed during a promotion period of : when you sign a member you get 1 month free.

Virgin Active South Africa I am complaining about the emails I have been sent for outstanding payments

Hi,

I regret to say that my experience with virgin active has been very bad. People handling branches are very unprofessional and they just sell the product no matter what cost the member.

The time i joined the virgin active, i did asked for 3 months subscription (on monthly basis) and i was told that there is no subscription for that, which was wrong, i came to knoe later.

Me and my friend were contracted for 12 months, despite of knowing very well that we were on visitors visa 11 (2) which was for 3 months. The sales person get us signed some documents and we did that, he said if your visa doesn't extend, you may leave and you will have to pay nothing. I was not even sent the contract, so that i could check the duration of the contract. We were duped, as were new in the country.

Later on, in the first week of may only, i informed virgin office (grayston branch) that i will not be able to come to gym due to financial situation, but no one listenend and they continued my subscription despite of several reminders. I think there is a provision that if someone is not coming physically to gym and if they are not Able to pay fee, their subscription will be cancelled, but it was not done for me.

On many occasions, i visited and paid fee but said that i am not using your services so cancel my subscription but it was also not done. How can you ask someone for money if they are not using your services, and if they are not satisfied? This is unacceptable.

I request you to please value my time and money, and cancel the subscription and waive off all the dues as i am not supposed to pay for that. No service no pay. Also, on few occasions, when i Phoned virgin active to request for the same, people disconnected the call and literally shouted, which is unbelievable as no one can expect the same from such a big service provider.

Virgin Active South Africa prescribed debt - illegal claim

I signed up through the call centre on 21.10.2019 then get told I owe moneys from old 2006 contract, which I knew nothing about until now.
I even signed up between 2012 - 2014 with no hassles and was never told about any old debts then either.
Now the agent took me through the sign up process, I even went to the gym to pay initiation fee etc.
Now head office is using bullying tactics to get me to pay old amount from 2006 which I informed them is Prescribed, so it is illegal for them to try claim now.
Then I get a call stating their Legal team say I must pay 50% or I cannot have access to their facilities - yet I've already signed up and paid start up fee!
This is a grossly illegal bullying tactic, a huge error on their part for not doing their work back in 2006 so why come to me now? When I never had this when I signed up in 2012. I have asked them to come back with some form of proof, or show on my contract where it says I can't have access. Still waiting.
I should not be getting bullied into their illegal claims!

Virgin Active South Africa package & other

I am a member at Virgin Constantia Kloof In Jhb. Im not able to go as often as I'd like therefore I'm being penalised for that - for the past 2 months an extra R200 has been deducted from my account of which I understand BUT my daughter goes to the gym everyday & sometimes twice a day, why don't I get some sort of discount for that ?

My membership also does not allow me to go to any other gym - WHY ?

Recently a close friend joined one of your other branches in Jhb, his monthly fee is R230/R260 can't remember the exact amount & his able to go to any other Virgin Active Gym & this is not even with Vitality.

On another note - a few months back the gym was closed due to new equipment being installed & some changes been made - WHAT A JOKE ! there's now less machines than there was before, which means people are waiting, getting frustrated. The new equipment is already broken or out of order.
When there's load shedding, everyone basically leaves the gym as there's not much you can do - why are there insufficient generators ?
On another note - "Inappropriate Dressing" -Management at the gym need to do something about this situation - either place notices or approach the people concerned. There are young ladies training practically naked, not leaving much to the imagination. They wearing extremely skimpy outfits, making other women feeling very embarrassed, this is very WRONG. However, this been said, I really feel like cancelling my gym membership.

Virgin Active South Africa membership

I joined VA Southgate in March 2019 and was advised my 2 year old would be able to access the gym with me at no additional cost. VA then made the decision to close the Southgate branch and gave us access to premier clubs. I chose to go to the next closest gym being Glenvista branch. When trying to access Glenvista with my son - I am being advised it will incur an additional charge of R205 as I did not provide his birth certificate. At no point did any VA staff member advise me that they need his birth cert to add him onto the system. I do think it is fair to penalize me due to the fact that VA had to close a branch due to rental issues. And did not advise me properly. I should of been advised that he will not be added until they receive his birth certificate. Nobody told me this until now! I would like my son to be added with no additional charges to cancel my membership immediately with no cancellation costs. I have had to change my gym - I did not choose to be a premier club - this was due to VA's changes and now I must pay more for my son? This is not good service. If they cannot help me - then cancel my membership and I will find another gym but I am not paying cancellation fees or any other additional charge.

Virgin Active South Africa poor customer service

On the 20th of October while on my way to Virgin active Germiston I notice that the roads were closed due to an event that was taking place at Germiston lake. A 5mins drive ended up being a 30mins drive to access the club. When I got to the club there was no parking for us members because the club parking was full with cars that belongs to people who were attending the event.

After my gym session, boom there was no water. Steam room was off because there was no water.
Tried to enquire with the receptionist who did not have customer ethics at all and rudely said "How are they suppose to know that the water will be cut off".

I found that very rude. I tried to suggest in one of the Whatsapp group that i'm I that if they can just give us the heads up when there'll be events so that we can use other clubs. The group exercise manager in that group told me that I should respect that whe does not work on weekends.

Mind you, the aerobics studio aircons have been broken for a while. On Friday we had load shedding and back up speakers were not charged.

In a nut shell I was told to go jump from mount Everest.

Can this behaviour be addressed.

Virgin Active South Africa lost items found but not returned to the member

On 13/10/2019 at appr. 09H00 I visited Virgin Active Kings Park and forgot my running shoes (blue asics ladies) which are fitted with specialise orthotics. I went three times in the following week and I was told that they are not found in the lost and found area. However the records at the reception shows that my running shoes were found that day and returned to the Manager (her name is Charmaine ) who signed for them. That means that the staff somehow misplaced my running shoes. Due to this I will be able to participate in upcoming marathon because I need the orthotic to run with because I am cripple.

Virgin Active South Africa unauthorised debit order charges

To whom it may Cocern;
I'm reaching for your assistance regarding unjustice marketing strategy Mr Elvis of Virgin Active Century City branch has done to my son who is merely a student with no earning power. After so many calls Elvis made he decided to go and see what promotion Virgin Active is offering whether it will suit his pocket. My son made him aware that he is just a student and he can't afford a premium membership as he will only use his allowance to pay.
after a long discussion, he still can't decide so Elvis convinced him to pay R99 for him to be loaded on the system, asked him to sign electronically, assured him that what he is signing is just for the R99 to load him on the system and that no debit order will go through not until he decides to finally join and to which option to choose. Elvis advised my son to bring his father along before the end of September to help him sign up or he will fall out of the system if he doesn't decide by September end.
But that's not what happens, on the 1st Oct my son received a notification from FNB for debit order and that he has insufficient money in the account only then we realised that the debit order is from Virgin active.
My point is Elvis knows that my son is mere as a student and he knew for a fact that he is not prepared to pay for high debit order. how did he do this to my son, isn't it heartless?. is this the kind of morale your marketing representative carries, he fooled a student just to have a sale. this is totally wrong. if what he is claiming is true that the system automatically charged my son the premium fee since he didn't get back before Sept, why he couldn't make a call to remind him and why he didn't make him aware of the consequences my son may face. He has been bugging my son to come and check out what the latest offers when he havent signed up but he can't call to remind him after he paid to load on the system and where is that statement he made that no debit order will go through till he decides, is that how he gets his sales. and we went to him on the day the debit went through and he didn't even show any concern or tried to help him he simply said if he wants to cancel my son needs to pay 2 months fee. Really?
we as a family of 3 pays lesser membership fee than what my son was charged for and Elvis also knew that he is also on Discovery medical aid he could have done something but he refused.
I would like to seek your assistance these constant calls from Virgin Active is really disturbing his studies, he simply can't afford to pay.

I would highly appreciate your understanding and prompt action regarding my complaint and to my request.

Virgin Active South Africa contract rip off

On the 19th of August 2019 I joined Virgin Active with the promise that my first installment will be 1st October 2019 as there was a promo for 1 month free. On the 1st of September 2019 my account was debited and when I enquired I was told it was a mistake and I will not be charged for October 2019. On the 1st of October 2019 my account was debited again, and when I asked for the money to be returned to my account I was told this was not possible. I have decided that I really do not want this contract anymore because it was full of false advertising and poor costumer service. They can keep the money they have already stolen from me it's OK. I will be changing my account just incase they try to steal from my account again.

Virgin Active South Africa incorrect debits on my account

I opened my virgin active membership with the guy called bongani, and tge agreemwnt was to pay R200, i was shocked when a debit of R400 was made by virgin active, i reversed my money and notified virgin actin but they never assist me, instead they told me i need to call the person i sign to, 2nd debit was made still it was R400 i called again they told me am in arears, i told them that they made an incorrect debit on my account they never assisted instead they told me that i need to make payment, my problem is as a company why couldn't they trace my debits and fixed them instead of telling me to call the person that i signed to, i once worked as customer agent i would assist a client with everything they need NOT to direct them to another person, now they saying my account its with mbd and i need to pay R2000 something,

Virgin Active South Africa security and safety

Good Evening Dear Sir/Madam.

I am writing to you as a loyal member of the Virgin Active Group of Gyms. Our gym visit this pm turned into a bloody nightmare at the Cascades branch in Pietermaritzburg. My partner and I entered the facility separately and our intention was to train together and have a good sweat session with each other.

He recently terminated his vitality membership and today I referred him to the Sales Consultant to sign up a open roaming membership, so we can roam while we travel. Jose was very helpful as usual and he sorted his membership in less than 30 minutes.

We proceeded to the upper level to train and walked together and laughed and chatted all the way up. To our dismay we were encountered by a white gentlemen who is identified by Tristen Edmunds. This was my first time in contact with this man. He abruptly halted us with a loud voice and aggressive tone. I whispered to my partner and said let's ignore him. This man alleged that my partner had posted something about him on Facebook. My partners response "was i dont know what you talking about boss and further more i deleted Facebook" as we continued walking to our favorite spot to train biceps and arms. This man was challenging my partner Nadeem Osman to meet him outside in the parking lot after he was done. I intervened and said leave Nadeem alone. And as we started walking away, he jumped up from the Leg press machine and proceeded towards us. I went in between the two men. My intention was to cause a separation between the two and no body contact as I sensed the temper flaring from Tristin especially. Tristin tried to push himself unto me to get to Nadeem. I am still shocked and surprised that he would have no respect for a woman who pleaded to him to stop. He pushed me and wrestle to get to Nadeem. I tried my best to keep Nadeem away from this gentleman. But he head butted Nadeem and I lost my balance and Nadeem fell.

The next moment he was kicking Nadeem in the face and head. And the next thing blood was squirting and Nadeem was on the floor. I screamed for help and everyone just stood by as spectators. I even asked the gym staff on site to help. Because my fear was that he could hemerage and this man was not stopping. I could not stop this man as he was so violent and vulgar. I took Nadeems towel bag to hit him off him and distract him as I didn't know how to get him off my man. Thank goodness for that because that warded him off Nadeem.

Security came after a few minutes and they still failed to act. My concern is that the accused was still entertained by them and no form of action was taken to remove him. Until I made a noise to escort him out. You have a member bleeding profously from the mouth head and nose area and no one sees the seriousness. I fail to understand how the wellness of your members are managed in a case of emergency.

No one came with any first aid kit to the scene or anything. In fact the security asked us to be escorted out by him. I refused as my partner was bleeding and feeling weak and dizzy. I called the police and his parents to the scene of the assault. The manager on duty Lungisani was the only one that had some sense of customer service skills and care towards us. He moved us to a private office downstairs as we waited. The blood fell all over the floor as we walked down.

Subsequently to this. A white gentleman who was not involved in the altercation came up to the security while Nadeem was rinsing the blood as it was literally pouring in the sink. He was rude and arrogant insisting we be removed for what reasons I don't understand. I responded and said to him that we are leaving to wait for the police but it's not his prerogative to tell the security to remove us as we are victims to this barbaric act and my partner is hurt. He swore at me in front of those staff members and security and i firmly told him I don't care what you think because you jumping for your friend Tristen as they were all training in the same vicinity.

This man who someone identified him as Andrew Nicholson came to me again downstairs while I was talking in isizulu to Lungisani about the police that were outside. He rudely came and pointed to my face and said i want her name and Surname. I said to him what is your issue with me. He said I used vulgar language and said he is a racist. This I don't take likely because I am a born again Christian I never use any derogatory words or vulgar language. I understand the importance of communication as i am in the customer services industry and we are well groomed in how we conduct ourselves in public and at home.

He threatened to get me banned from the gym. I will not be bullied by any one. As I am a paying member and I have never had any incidents or complaints about anything prior to today.

Jose will also confirm that I have referred clients to this facility and just today after signing up said I will send more members through. But Today I felt unsafe and had to swallow my pride on bragging rights as a proud member when the safety and security of the members were compromised

Virgin Active South Africa disgusting service

Good day

I attended an open class (zumba with fawaaz and faldielah who rocks by the way definately assests to your virgin active team) on heritage day 25 september 2019 @ 8.15am.

Everything was going amazingly I was sooo impressed by the atmosphere the instructors the capacity of the class the the entire feel was just unexplainable I had myself considering joining the quite a few times during class right up until 9am everything just went downhill from there!

Please bare in mind I do not know any of the attendees nor do I know the instructors of the step class which was to follow after the zumba so there is no possible way anyone can say I am byass.

At 9 possibly a minute or 2 after people started entering the class with their steps which are huge in between us bear in mind our class was already packed (which I thought was extremely rude and disrespectful to everyone in the class as well as the instructors) they started putting down their belongings my immediate reaction was to get our things at the back because their was a lot of new people entering but I thought I will continue I overhead one of the instructor tell someone from the class if they can please just wait until we finish the class as our things are there and the lady response was soo rude and she went to stand in the corner never the less I saw our instructor have a word with another lady and a few people left.

When it was time to do our cool down which is the best part of the class it's normally so relaxing and we do breathing and stuff but there was 2 ladies that stood a arms length behind me and they kept on talking extremely loud and laughing and for the remainder rod the class they kept at it non stop the studios door was left open and in turn everyone waiting to use the class was standing there laughing at us all the time I was sooo dissapointed my entire experience tainted.

I'm not sure what the times of your classes are or how your schedule works but from what I gathered it seemed as though their class was suppose to start at 9 and they were getting pretty cheesed off that they had to wait as some people arrived before 9 and because of that they just decided to be nasty and spiteful and make a joke out of our class.

Once the lesson was over they entered I immediately went to one of the ladies that were laughing so loud and screaming the entire time I remembered her face as I kept looking to the back to see who was being so disruptive and disrespectful. I went over to her and said very politely (yes politely believe it or not even though I was pretty pissed off I was raised to be very respectful and she was older than me)

"excuse me aunty but what u did I think was very rude and disrespectful immediately she took a defensive approach and said what? (looking at me like who the hell do u think u are to tell me) i'm not sure what it was but it could possibly have been the fact that I called her aunty and prob made her feel her age I said aunty was so noisy and disruptive during our cool off session and it wasn't a nice thing for me. She then replied do u go here? With a attitude of course I answered this was an open class and they have open classes for people so that they can get a feel of the place and possibly join and she said again but by this time a lot of the step class attendees were making their way to the front of the stage and when she saw it was clear she was now wanting to put a show on infront of them..

And she continues do u attend this gym (looking at me from head to toe right in my face)

As I answered believe it or not she reckons to me and I quote"this is not how roll here girl huh uh we don't to this kind of stuff and I said how we roll? And she says ja and walks off while I was talking what completely blew me away was when she got on the stage? (whaaaaaaaaat she is an instructor? Are u kidding me is this a joke?

My immediate reaction was you an instructor and this is the manner in which you behave and speak to people you are suppose to be an example to the attendees u are their leader for the next hour? Disgusting!

I mean am I wrong? Am I over reacting? [censored] no i'm not! I have every right to be pissed off and angry and feel embarrassed not to mention dissapointed and disrespected.

Correct me if i'm wrong but to my understanding any staff or instructor working or teaching at virgin active is meant to be a respresentation of the brand itself so they should be expected to behave in a certain manner and carry themselves a certain way right (even independent contractors as they using your facilities?)

What is your screening process for hiring instructors? What do u actually factor in? Their looks? Their bodies? Their hair? How old they are? Which areas they reside in? What cars they drive? What's their social media status? How popular they are? What clothes they wear? I'm baffling to understand or identify the qualities in her which made you guys decide "this was the right candidate to lead a class... And yes I said lead because to me and instructor or a teacher is someone that is a leader... Someone that is not only able to lead that particular class but someone that is going to lead by example in any aspect for that matter which is why I firmly believe these qualities are crucial!

Patience (complete lack there of as she couldn't wait a few mins for our class to end. If anything I fear the new comers to that class as I know it's not easy to do that so I can only imagine her approach to a situation like that from the experience I had with her I think her first reaction to that would be oh no not another idiot this person is going to make me and my class look stupid)

Respect (none what so ever that much was effident none for me zero for the current instructors at the time none for herself clearly proven by the manner in which she she carried herself and retaliated towards me when I simply just wanted to make her aware of what she has done)

Confidence (and no not confidence as in i'm the [censored] and no one will tell me confidence as in someone... Confident in what they are teaching)

Positivity, good motivational skills, understanding, disciplined, good communication skills, be approachable, be a peoples person.

These are qualities I believe u should have in a role like that and none of those I saw its in her today extremely saddening.

I am completely and utterly disgusted by the manner in which I was treated and even more disappointed by how 2 instructors that showed nothing but professionalism and dedication to the class fantastic attitude how do I know this because every single time I looked around at any given time there wasn't 1 person that wasn't smiling hell I smiled even when I was making a complete fool of myself not knowing all the moves? But was I singled out no I was not was I made to made to feel like I didn't belong no... Howcome? Because throughout the class from start to finish there was this level of reassurance u got from those instructors that's its ok to make mistakes we will just be right there waiting to show u the right way they never laughed at me like the other people did right there behind me loud making me feel embarrassed as a result of that encouragement from fawaaz and faldielah I felt secure and safe enough to make those errors so its not fair to them one bit that that entire experience they set out to give to the class the preparation the hard work the determination the positive drive the dedication that goes into having a successful outcome all their hard work just taken away like that just by 1 bad apple 1 bad apple that will forever stand out to me as my experience at your gym i'm hoping someone will see to it that they get an official apology from the instructor and the gym for having to give and complete a class under those conditions.

Virgin active gatesville is one of the worst branches you guys have truly gone to the dogs it's as clear as daylight that all u worried about is numbers and not quality... Your membership fees are totally overpriced and not worth a single cent the only way I would feel that the price is justifiable was if u said to me those 2 instructors gives a class everyday or even better all of your instructors are like that... Then I would've been sold on the idea.

Fitness is a mindset it's a lifestyle something you want people to maintain and let's be real it's not easy it's tough as hell and the reality is not everyone is able to do it for whatever reasons everyone's situations are different but what I am pretty sure of is that time is the most precious thing ever and there are millions of people out there that doesn't doesn't have a extra minute to spare yet we make time we set aside all our responsibilities for that hour or few minutes because when u leave the gym/workout/class u leave feeling good about yourself each and every time u feel more confident than u did the previous time and with confidence comes strength fulfillment and happiness you leave feeling proud because u did something for you and only you...

Virgin Active South Africa contract

I'm from the Uk working in SA for 10 weeks. I walked into virgin active foreshore on 27th August 2019 and asked what would be my cheapest option to join for the period of time I'm here. I was advise if I paid for 2 months 1st September and 1st October and called to cancel at the end of the September then they will do my cancellation fee at a reduced rate of 400 rand. I called to cancel yesterday to be told this wasn't the case and I would need to pay another 1900 rand? I contacted the person I signed the contract with by email who advise he doesn't recall telling me that even though I confirmed back to him what we agreed and asked if he would put this in the contract which he hasn't. I leave SA in 5 weeks and I would like this resolving but I go. I have no intentions of using the gym now I don't even have a copy of my contract and I feel like I have been missold!
