Village Inn Restaurants chocolate silk pie

Stopped in and bought a chocolate silk pie at Village Inn in Parker Co. on Thanksgiving Day. Great folks and service. The pie, not so good. I've purchased several over the years for the family. It's always been a favorite. or the. Not this time. Pie was soupy. Would rename it to chocolate silk soup. Tried to report this on the Corp site. Not very user friendly.

Village Inn Restaurants complement

I was trying to find a "kudos" or "comment" section on your website and unfortunately this is the only form I found to submit a positive comment regarding one of your employees at Village Inn restaurant located at 2340 Yale Blvd S.E. Albuquerque, NM 87106.
On Thursday, November 14th my family (5) and I had an extremely long day and agreed on having dinner at a local Village Inn. Reluctantly, I agreed to have dinner at the above mentioned location. Previously we encountered horrible customer service, extremely long wait times and unsatisfactory food.
It was a little past dinner time for our younger kids who are 8 and 9 and have a recently turned 16 year old (on 11/13) so they were grumpy and ready to eat.
Annette was our waitress and approached our table with an upbeat, yet not annoying or fake personality and dealt with our not so pleasant and tired and "ready to have dinner" attitudes with grace. I've had so many horrible experiences here that I was ready to have another one but tried to have a positive outlook.
Annette was so patient, kind, genuine and was so pleasant to deal with. She was sweet to our kids and the family. She talked about the menu, the food, and made recommendations for each of us. She was confident when she spoke and didn't hesitate to make suggestions as I am so indecisive. (Haha)
Near the end of our visit, my kiddos asked if we can go back for pie day when Annette is there. (Only when Annette is there) We were saddened to hear you need to buy an entree plate to get the free pie. (It gets pricey for a large family) (Even just for pie) However, we will make it work so we can go visit Annette.
I know the restaurant business is extremely difficult to work in and you often hear the negative and not the positive. I hope Annette gets recognition for her hard work, her knowledge, her dedication and for the compassion she has for her job. It shows through her serving not only her customers but her community as well. I hope she realizes that she turned our night into a great one with her positive attitude. I know keeping a smile on your face while dealing with customers isn't always easy.
THANK YOU Annette! We hope one day soon we can go back!
Keep that beautiful personality up because you never know what someone is going through and how much you can impact someone's life just by being kind.
You love your job and it shows by your actions.

Village Inn Restaurants poor service

We frequent this restaurant regularly. There is one server there that just drives my family crazy. We went there tonight nd was placed in her area. We asked for a different server but was told that it could not be arranged. We ordered and one of us ordered pumpkin pancakes. These came out with the center still runny. We asked our server to take these back and credit our ticket as everyone else was nearly done eating and we did not want to wait for new pancakes. We had to tell her 5 times that we did not want replacements and we finally handed her the place and told her to take it away. She left in a huff, throwing things and cussing. She was serving the table next to us shortly after this and felt it was necessary to tell this table that we rude and were the cause of her distress. This was totally inappropriate. I will find it hard to return to this restaurant as long as she is still employed there

Village Inn Restaurants manager inappropriate behavior

Today, 11/4/19, my husband and I ate at the VI located at 15395 E. Colfax Ave. After we received our food, we noticed our food was on the verge of cold. It was barely warm. We notified the server, who notified the manager. She came to our table and we reiterated the issue. She apologized and asked if there was something she could do to make it better.Then she said obviously it was fine since we had ate half of it. We let her know the food tasted just fine and that we were not pleased with receiving food almost cold. She again apologized and said she would check into it. She came back later to say that the lamp was turned down lower that it usually is and she raised the temperature on it. She did not offer to compensate us for our meal or anything. Although we were not looking to be compensated, she nonetheless, did not offer any compensation.

It wasn't five minutes later we saw a couple two tables away from us very disappointed with their order. The woman at the table asked to speak to the same manager. She poliety let the manager know she did not received what she asked for. She had made a change to her order and was discussing it with the manage. The manager's tone in her voice became stern about what was on the menu and the customer stated again the change she requested to the order and that was not what she received. The manager again became stern and aggressive in her tone and became very loud. You can only imagine the attention that was drawn to the table. The manager was very rude to the customer and her husband as she walked away talking louder. My husband said let's go!

I felt very bad for the customers because the manager did not provide good customer service. All she had to do was comply with the customer's request instead of arguing with the customer. This was the worst manager customer service I have ever seen. It was totally so inappropriate of her. As a black woman to another black woman, I was embarrassed. As we say about our own folks, "she was showing her color." Not to mention, the customers were black. I know personally many black managers who have awesome customer service. But this lady is not customer service material.

My husband and I vowed not to go back to this VI again!

Village Inn Restaurants customer service

My family and I wanted to order Village Inn because of the good food and the pies. We have ordered from this location several times and had the understanding that Wednesdays your order came with a slice of pie. We ordered online for the convenience and when we arrived to pick it up we were greeted by a less than friendly cashier. He explained that pies don't come with to-go orders (which we were surprised by since we've always had to-go orders come with pie) but then he added "especially, not with online orders". It was so rude and made us feel almost ashamed to have ordered online.
He didn't offer us a receipt, so we don't have the purchase details. The food was great, but the service left us with a bad taste in our mouth.

Village Inn Restaurants huge matt of hair in food

On 10/24/2019 my wife ordered your strawberry crepes she cut into her crepes to take the first bite and there was a huge matt of hair inside, it looked as if someone had just cleaned out a hair brush. I understand having a stray hair once in a awhile but this was ridiculous. She contacted the manager who offered to remove the cost of the one meal, however my daughter's list their appetite over it as well a d all three left with no further eating. My wife still paid for three meals not eaten. This was my wife's birthday and a very disturbing way to celebrate what should of been a joyous occasion. The other issue when looking back in the kitchen, no one had hair nets on. This was by far the worst experience ever at a resteraunt. Very disgusting.

Village Inn Restaurants management and being served dirty dish with meal

We went into village inn on Army Post Road in Des Moines Iowa for supper and we where served dirty silverware with our meal and we complained to the store manager and he was very rude and ask what we wanted him to do about it and after the waitress got in trouble she became very snooty and short with us. Village Inn Restaurants food quality

We went in on WED free pie day
there was 4 of us we were seated right away ordered then waited about 35 min for are food when it came out my Turkey Avocado and Bacon sandwich had no bacon and wheat bread was burnt. My moms bowl of veg beef was cold . My son got old cold fries and greasy. Soup was spilled all over plate. The second time around as we sent Soup back twice. We were forced to buy side salad that we had to buy in order to get the free pie .
Free pie was old and hard as a brick on entire back side of crust I spent 47.56 I have always went to this location as it is the only one in Apache Junction, now it has become dirty employees had dirty hair hanging down and just dirty shirts and the service was poor I will not be going again .New Manger is not running this Village Inn to standards
i was use too as a matter of fact the last 2 Mangers have been poor there seems to be a high turn over as I said I come all the time or use too.

Village Inn Restaurants failure to transfer employee correctly resulting in job loss / failure to notify employees of shut down of location resulting in job loss

I worked at the Village Inn on San Mateo and requested for a transfer to a different location. I showed up to the secondary location to talk to the manager about being put on the schedule. From my understanding that's all that had to be done. All the paperwork was done by the managers. When I showed up for work the manager Tanya couldn't find me in the system. They tried multiple times to get me in and tried reaching out to corporate but couldn't get an answer. They stopped contacting me and left me without a job. I have things I need to pay too. I'm living on my own in Albuquerque and have rent i need to get in. / At the Village Inn on Menaul, management failed to inform us employees that the establishment was being shut down therefore resulting in me losing my job. Village Inn Restaurants jessica manager

I just went in to order a to go order and had 2 coupons. For buy one entree get one free and miss jessica said she could not honor either of the coupons. I asked her why and she said it wasn't her problem. She was a complete [censored] to us. She is supposed to be representing her company. She then proceeded to tell us as we were leaving that we couldnt afford to eat there. Really. We just are staying at the motel next door and were hungry. I am appalled at her behavior.

Village Inn Restaurants management

My manager Linda hattrick on power in Maine in Arizona. Has been extremely mentally abusive towards me and my coworkers . I have just spent the last 30 minutes looking for your corporate number. Which unfortunately doesn't pop up on any of the website. I will still be putting in a call to corporate and into Hr. She has cussed out on many occasion's because she was upset. She has taken hot pies out of the oven and thrown them at our cooks because they had all burst. It's pie was still probably about a 350 degress. She Strong servers and cooks that they are extremely weak and worthless. In these last couple months I had a cook going to the mental hospital. Has on more than one occasion he was placed in the kitchen alone when it was busy and couldn't keep up on his own. My manger ractions yelling at him. He was told that he was worthless everyday and now it's starting to believe it. Never she's mad at us she cuts are days from being 5 or 4 days a week down to 2. I'm one of those people that she is done this to, Is my only job this is how I make rent how I feed my family and I keep the air in Arizona. She has a cook on that has touched many of our female staff in inappropriate ways and is aware that he has done this. But she still has done nothing about this. Many of her staff are looking for a new job because they cannot take this abuse anymore. Some of the staff who have been doing this since they were about 16 are now in their twenties and want to leave. Everyday we all feel like we're walking on eggshells and aren't sure if we're going to upset her . I have seen Some of our happiest stuff turn angry and cold because of this abuse. I am sick and tired of this we have all put in calls to cooperate and hr and still nothing done about this. I will be reaching out to a lawyer seeing that it feels corporate and hr dont seem to wanna fix this. I will be getting statements from all of my staff as well to be put into the case. This is my last complaint .

Village Inn Restaurants manager - terra or taura?

So my complaint is about a manager at this village inn and she cusses out her employees and makes them work 8 to 10 hour shifts and does not compensate any free lunch or a break AT ALL. I've heard the way that she talks to some of her employees and she is super irregardless to the fact that she is a manager and that she should be the one to fill in for people when they don't come in and she can't find a cover she has no idea how to run this business but yet she's here, not running it right. She has no respect for her employees and she is LAZY trying to make everyone else do all the work while she hardly does anything all day. She makes workers cover other workers shift and spots in the kitchen when someone calls out or quits on short notice, does not ask nicely, and you will NEVER catch her jumping in to help out herself and if you do, she talks back to her employees and has a big attitude problem. She should not be a manager, she is irresponsible and does not care about your company.

Village Inn Restaurants management

They don't hire the right amount of managers, they don't seat fairly. They schedule you on your days off and make other people work doubles to cover your managing shifts. They don't make people who have been there for a while do sidework and they make the first night shift person make salads when they get on, be there until 11/12 every other day and give them literally half of the side work. This place is not ran okay and everyone is focusing on things that don't even matter. Very hard place to work at because of the way it's ran.

Village Inn Restaurants steve berry the assistant manager

He talks down to his employees and asks them personal questions . He asked me why I moved to Iowa and what relationship I have with my mom . He also told me I need to take the buss to Uber to work knowing I do summer school and I'm not available to work days he told me I need to have more independence and find a way to work . A costumer came in for a to go order and Steve was supposed to make shakes and 20 minutes later the guest asked me for a refund and left without the shakes saying she could of gone somewhere else she asked for his name so she could file a complaint

Village Inn Restaurants dishonest business

The food may be good for breakfast but definitely not for dinner. As I can tell the business was very slow with two tables served when I came in at 6:00 PM. I give 2 stars to their food but 0 star for your reputation. They had promotion in Jun, 2019 with two $5 bonus cards when purchasing $30 gift card. I was told that bonus cards can be used like gift card or cash in any village inns when purchasing it. When I come back with bonus card but was told another way - it cannot be used with any offers such as kids meal free on Monday / Tuesday or free pie on Wednesday. So bonus cards are really treated as coupon that you can readily get or receive it all the time. That would be OK if they should make it clear upfront. I don't like this dishonest way to do business. Do you?

Village Inn Restaurants long wait rude employees food order wrong, food items not available

VILLAGE INN #110845 Goodyear Az 07 04 19 12 06 pm received bill, table 24/1 server Elaine. Its the 4th of July rest very busy long wait time understandable, about 40 minutes. Employees arguing with each other about seating customers and warning us that the kitchen staff is short handed and orders will take longer then usual. We where seated 8 people in our party total. Elaine was very nice but could not keep up us and other tables, everything including drinks and taking our order very slowww. Elaine was good at making sure the food items we placed where correct on the order, before she left for the kitchen. Smaller parties of 2 and 4 got there food before us. The manager came and spoke to us, we thought to tell us sorry for the wait, but no they where out of Hollindiase (sp) sauce for the Green mountain breakfast bowl, he asked can we substitute something else, my daughter said yes lots of cheese please, he said ok. Food finally arrived, half the orders where wrong, 2 orders did not arrive with the food. My daughters cheese instead of hollandaise sauce, nope no cheese. My order arrived wrong, they had to re do it. Another order skillet ultimate with scrambled eggs, nope eggs where sunny side up. My wifes 2 eggs where hard not over medium as requested, there is more i cant remember everything right now. The orders on the receipt (which i kept) are all written correctly the kitchen just got it all wrong. No apologies where given or discounts offered. We love the Village Inn, but this was really awful, what i would like is someone in management to call me to discuss my families less then steller experience, you did not meet our expectations. Village Inn Restaurants wait time

We sat at our table for an hour after ordering a salad and half a sandwich. My mom complained to the hostess/manager (I guess) who in turn went to the kitchen only to come back and tell us there were still three tickets before ours. Then she tried to give some excuse about kids and being busy. There were people who arrived after us yet got their food while we waited. The waitress only stopped by once to say our food would be up soon, no offer of refills on our drinks or any explanation for the delay. This is unacceptable service and very unprofessional. We left and went somewhere else to eat!

Village Inn Restaurants leaving me on schedule but not giving any hours for work

i am a employee of the Palmer park village inn and was not given any hours but name remained on schedule i've made calls to the appropiate people and nothing was resolved, was hired as a cook, ended up taking prep cook position was not properly trained and was left to figure things out, i have bills and the fact of not being professional is the problem

Village Inn Restaurants food and code violations, unprofessionally and biased managers, employees, treating other employees unfairly and issues not being taken care of

I will like to remain anonymous because I work at one of the village inn. I am reporting the issues at the Village Inn Surprise AZ. Address 14539 West Grand Ave zip code is 85374. Im a long time employe and i'm adressing the issues that they have and are not being taken care of. They have cleaning sheets that we have to checked offf but they are never used and are just hanging there without proper information. They never clean the walls in the kitchen and the walls next to the booth. The restaurant only cleans when someone important comes to visit. cooks are not using gloves and not washing hands every time they get done with the food. Improper beverage and food placements. Broken down equipment that barely gets fixed. Pipes below the restrauant are not working correctly so it lets out a foul smell in the restrauant. We have biased managers who let certain people do want they want and treat other workers unfairly. Workers treating each other unfairly and causing problems that are not getting resloved by the managers because of favoritism. Servers giving free food to their families and discounting food to their friends. Employes are not being team members and managers letting employes leave early. No fairness, consistency, and accuracy in the work enviroment. Health Department has been there multiple times and village inn is not taking the health department seriously. Other employes have left the the restaurant because of the situation that the other employees and managers have caused. Managers changed employees set schedules that they have without any notice. Managers distribuating unfairly hours among the employees. Food and beverage debri under the bevergae and food counters next to the wall. Managers letting workers do want they want. Managers are not taking control of the situation with employees who are causing problems with other employees. I watch two servers not tip the bussers that work there and the servers say that do not have to because they make minimum wage required by law. These issues haven been going on for a long time even before I started working there. Managers know one person that is higher up in the village inn corporate. This higher up doesn't give penalties because all they care about is this false image that they are showing to the people. When village inn corporate gives important emails that need to be sign by employees and managers. Not everyone signs these emails given by village inn corporate. There is one host that works at village inn and helps look out for the health department and uses a mic to tell the managers and the managers tell us to dump stuff out and throw stuff away in the trash before the health department walks in especially when a customer complains to the health department. I'm reporting these issues because these are getting out of control and nothing is being done. People have brought it up multiple times to management and higher ups but nothing is being corrected. Poor management. The more we bring it up the more unfairly we are treated and given unfairly punishments. Thank you for taking your time and reading these concerns and issues that I'm bringing to your attention. I hope in the future that these issues will be address for a better working environment.
