Venture Data review: Business spoofs phone number 1

I received a phone call on 1/5/16 from a local number. I answered it and heard clicking sounds like an auto dialer. I called the number and it was answered by venture data, a company that takes surveys from the people they call. I sent them an email telling them I thought they were breaking the law by spoofing me so I would answer the call. they emailed me back telling me it was not spoofing because when I dialed the number back it went to their company. the email states they use local call presence to increase our response rates so it is legal. the 2010 spoofing law states that spoofing (changing the real number they are calling you from) is illegal to do if it is to defraud someone. I think it is obvious they do this because people will answer a local call but not answer if they see a company number. I believe they spoofed me to get me to answer the call that they get paid by their clients to get these surveys so that is something of value they deceived me for. They did it again on 01/06/2016 after I told them not to call me again. I also believe that they because I pay for caller id and they tampered with it is theft of services. Of course they say they are right but I think pretty soon a small claims court judge will determine who is right
