A&W Restaurants - my boss has ruined a&w for me, and I am sorry.

In the last few months we got a new general manager. At first he seemed good, until I walked into work to find him cursing and screaming at a 20 girl. It has been going downhill from there. He is almost constantly cursing when talking to employees. He goes out to smoke 7-12 times in an 8hr work day. He is extremely racist, when it comes to people who struggle with English. He lies and gossips all of the time. He makes up his own procedures and throws a good portion of the company procedures out the window. He makes everything a lot more difficult. He has the viewpoint where employees are expendable. He plays on his phone way too often, going against phone policy. There was one time he went on Facebook to look up a page that he finds funny, but is completely inappropriate. It was filled with quotes with a lot of cursing, and photos that were offensive. He brought up one photo of Where's Waldo trying to escape from someone's butt crack, and he showed it to everyone working at the time, including a sixteen year old girl. I called him out on it because, as I said, it was completely inappropriate. A couple of weeks ago I saw him making sweets and treats. He was using one spoon for all of the candies, so I let him know about allergies and that he needs to use several different spoons. He got mad at me and stormed outside to smoke. At the end of the day, he confronted me and told me I was right. A few weeks ago I asked him about paid vacation, and he told me that I don't get one because I need to have 34-36 hours several months in a row. When he said that, I let someone know, just in case he denied it later. Which he did. The policy is 32 hrs. When he first became my general manager, I let him know that I was looking for a second job. Only because I wasn't making enough money to live on my own. It was supposed to just be a second job. But because of my GM's recent behavior, it is now going to be a replacement job. This past weekend my Grandpa died. So when I went to work I was already feeling very stressed and somewhat sick. They had very loud music playing in the kitchen, which wasn't helpful at all. I was in drive-thru. At first it was fine, but the longer I worked my head started hurting really bad. There was one point where it seemed as though the headset was getting louder, and my head was throbbing so bad it felt like it could explode. I said something to my boss, and he just said that headsets don't do that, and that I am fine. At around 7pm, it got to be too much. So I excused myself and had to book it to the bathroom, where I threw up. When I got back I let my boss know what happened, and he once again said I was fine. So I put the headset back on and continued to work. At around 8pm I checked labor, and saw that it was at 26%. Which is too high. I had less than 2 hrs left, and there would still be four people working. So I the assistant manager if I could go home. She told me to ask the boss. But when I did, he told me to ask the assistant, and to try to find someone to cover my shift if I want to go home. He knew that the only people available were kids that couldn't work past 8pm, so I was screwed. When I brought up the fact that labor was too high, that I had thrown up an hour before, and that the store was only open for two more hours anyways. He said, not his problem. At that point, he was making me a little mad, so I brought up CDC policy, which states that I shouldn't even be working if I am throwing up. Then my boss said very loudly B.S. When I asked him what he meant, he said that I need to show him evidence that I threw up, because as he said, I am perfectly healthy. When I asked him what makes him say that, he said that he saw me smile earlier. It's my job to smile! If I don't smile when talking to customers, they don't give good reviews. Then my boss proceeded to lie to me and say that I had called in sick 8 times in the last month. Which is not true at all. So, I called my mom to come and get me, because my head hurt so bad and I was honestly willing to face the consequences. When she got there, she asked my boss why I was so upset. He then told my mom the same lies, even claiming he had proof. When my mom asked if we could see the proof, he said that it was something that couldn't be accessed. The whole time he was talking, he would not look anyone in the eyes. At one point, he walked away, and the assistant manager even told my mom that he was lying. When he got back he said that he hasn't missed a day in 2 yrs, and that if I can't handle my duties, that I shouldn't work for A&W anymore. I have worked for A&W for almost 5yrs, and have never been treated this awful. He makes me feel like I am worthless and garbage Jamie Longsine is the most hateful boss, and I don't see good things for the University ave store in the future. I am sorry, but I honestly cannot continue working for A&W anymore.
