Unlimited Vacation Club Told a ton of lies to get us to buy

We were sold on a bunch of lies. We were told that we would only have to pay a $20 booking fee after our first reservation for all trips. Nothing else. We were told that the 25% off discount was for family and friends only. We were not told that we would have to use the discounted rate. That would not have made sense as I was already getting a 50% discount because I am a travel agent. Also was told that the rate that family and friends would receive was about $50 for the lower end brands and about $75 for secrets/Zoetry. Logged in today for the first time to see that we do have to pay anddddd that the prices are astronomically higher than what we were told. We were lied to from the moment that we sat down. Horrible horrible business practices. Business built on lies and deceit.

Desired outcome: I would like to receive what we were quoted. And the promised rates for friends/family.

Unlimited Vacation Club Hotel Rates different than what we were told when we purchased contract

I and another person purchased an Unlimited Vacation Club (UVC) contract in Mexico on 5/22/22. We are trying to use the membership for a vacation we had planned to take in September. The nightly hotel rates we were sold on was $46 per person for family resorts, $70 per person adults only resorts and $100+ for Zoetry resorts. When we go on the UVC website to book the trip we are coming up with a totally different rate $882 for 2 persons for one room. We have contacted the person who sold us the contract but she has not explained why the UVC membership is not given us the hotel rates we were told we would get when we signed the contract. We are very disappointed with the membership.

Desired outcome: We are looking for the nightly hotel rates that was promised to us when we signed the contract. We want to keep the membership but not under these circumstances.

We were told that we would only have to pay $20 to book after the first booking and that the 25% off was to be utilized by family and friends. Was also told that the rates that we would get was $59 pp/on for the lower end brands and and about $75 pp/on for secrets/Zoe try which was comparable to my rates as an AMR travel agent. That is not the truth. Just logged in for the 1st time on UVC website and prices are astronomically higher than what we were told. Based on what we were told and now what we see are the actual numbers, it made no sense to purchase considering I was already getting s discount. Pissed off! Deceived! Bamboozled!

Unlimited Vacation Club Cancel my membership

Hi My name is Million Hunde, I became a member on July 21, 2022. Today is July 22, 2022 and I want to cancel my membership and get my refund.

I agreed membership while I was in Cancun at the Secrets Rivera hotel.

My membership ID is SMX-003024. I was told I've 5days to cancel my membership and its only been 1day.

I've tried to call the toll free line as well as emails without any success. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Desired outcome: Terminate my membership and get my refund.

Unlimited Vacation Club - Unethical and false marketing practices

I totally agree that Unlimited Vacation Club is definitely a rip-off. My name is Domingo, is there any attorney in the chat. How can we sue them? They are a scam company. Every time you call them, they don't have nothing available or either too expensive or your 25% is not honored. We have gone the entire year and not a single discount or vacation with the membership. The membership, it is for them to collect monthly chargers only. I want out and my money back. From one customer service to the next, all you get is lies and excuses.

Desired outcome: Terminate my membership and get my refund.

Unlimited Vacation Club Deceptive business practices

Unlimited Vacation Club is definitely a rip-off. We signed a contract in the Dominican Republic after being lied to about all the perks that came with the membership. I asked about cancellation if we decided for any reason that the membership was not a good fit for us or became financially burdensome. We were told that we could miss 3 consecutive payments if we needed to and still keep the membership active, or we cancel whenever we wanted to and all we had to do was stop paying. We found out months later that they had lied. We decided that the membership wasn't beneficial for us, so we stopped paying. We were contacted by Ruth Asiadet Valadez Rodriguez. When I told her what we had been told, she said that it was true, but in order to cancel, the account had to be current. We would have had to pay almost $1000 and then she said she could cancel the contract. Other than that, she said that she would report us to the credit bureaus. My husband said that we should go ahead and at least give it a try since it seems that we are stuck. We were shown parts of the contract where it showed that we could cancel, but the page before said something different. They used a dishonest contractual context to make us feel at ease. We have been paying what we can to keep it off of our credit, but we really would like to cancel the contract and get our money back!

Desired outcome: We want to cancel the contract and have our money refunded since we have not used any of the services.

Unlimited Vacation Club Trip protection insurance

We made a vacation reservation and bought trip protection in Feb 2022. However, the trip protection policy was issued to the wrong travelers. I contacted the UVC Customer Service the same day and asked them to correct the names on the policy. They promised to do so. But the new corrected policy was issued to wrong persons again plus I was charged twice for the policy. I had to call UVC again. After several days I finally got the corrected travel policy and found that UVC charged me a third time for the same travel policy. I called UVC several times about returning two extra charges. UVC agreed to return my two extra payments back. After five months UVC only returned me one extra charge. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and finally got my money back. However, UVC blocked my online access to my account after that and I couldn't use my membership. That was UVC's "vendetta". I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau in June 2022 however UVC didn't even respond back to BBB. I still have no access to my online account and membership. Now it is July. Every time when I call UVC Customer Service they promise to unblock my online account but it is still blocked. UVC overcharged me three times and blocked my online account. It's ridiculous!

Desired outcome: 1.Unlock my online access ASAP;2. Return my a portion of my annual membership for the "blocked" time;3. Provide a fair compensation for five months of worries and inconvenience.

This complaint was not resolved. I one from UVC ever contacted us despite us repeatedly calling them and emailing them at the requested number and emails. Please mark “unresolved”. Someone on the phone today lied and said “Mario” contacted us by email in May (before this complaint) and said we were satisfied with our plan. We are not.

Unlimited Vacation Club Travel discounts and response

We traveled to Cozumel in March 2022 and UVC agents greeted us at the airport with promises of free excursions, dinner and a nice brunch if we promised to listen to their sales promotion. I can’t tell you how many times we said no during the sales pitch but after they offered lower prices and a “free” vacation. I sent an email as the contract states to do if there are questions as soon as we returned to our home and asked to cancel and no one responded, I them called and the customer service was very abrupt and abrasive then stated someone would contact me within 72 hours and no one did so I emailed again and still no response. The “deals” they promise are no better than the deal I got to go to Mexico in the first place and at one of the excursions someone stole cash from us which cancelled out any of the “free” they promised. Do not fall for their sales pitch, don’t take the “free” Drinks they offer. You’ll wake up and be scammed.’

Desired outcome: Full refund for requesting cancellation within 5 days of sales pitch.’

Unlimited Vacation Club 25% discount at amr resorts over publicly offered rates

We spent all day today (7/8/22) trying to get Unlimited Vacation Club to honor their 25% discount off of publicly offered rates at AMR resorts. We were trying to book a week at Dreams Cozumel for the week of 12/7/22 - 12/14/22. The UVC web site was offering the week in a Jr.Suite Pool View for $1679.00. We sent multiple screen shots from multiple sites that were offering the same room/dates for $1818.00. We were asking UVC to honor the contract guarantee of 25% discount off of publicly offered rates. The 25% discount off of the publicly offered rate of $1818.00 would be $1363.50, over $300.00 less than UVC was offering. They refused to honor the contract guarantee. The would not book the room for $1363.50 per the contract guarantee and would only offer at $1679.00 (which amounts to only about 7.5% discount).

Desired outcome: Book the requested room at the contract guaranteed (25% discounted) rate of 1363.50 or cancel our contract and refund the $8200.00 we paid for the membership.

Guíal hotel a la charla de una hora y media y terminé 6 horas después el día 24 de junio 2022. Unlimited Vacation Club Scam

This company pushed their way into our vacation with almost stalking like behavior. They do not comply with rules and regulations, as well as having a minor review the "so Call" contract with no attorney or legal representation. They said they would email the contract and never did. Cancelations are 5 days after well if you don't have the contract in front of you how do you know about cancellation. they FAILED TO STATE THAT.

The biggest scam is that you cant even get in to a hotel without paying top dollar, and on all travel sites it is cheaper. They lied about the pricing and fees. Everything that was stated in their so call contract is voided . So who do you complain to that you were promised a set price and your paying double.

Unlimited Vacation Club Unethical and false marketing practices

Like many people here, I was intercepted on my vacation in Cancun, Hotel Dreams Jade, and after many false promises and benefits, they sold me an $11,000 package, saying it was a reselling offer from a previous client. I have already paid more than $3,000 and I have not received any benefits, because whenever I have wanted to reserve something, there is never availability, or they always tell me that my category does not qualify. Since December 2021 I have been requesting the cancellation of my contract requesting the return of my $3000, but they have not listened to my request. The representative only threatens to charge me up to the last penny, and now they even scare, harass and threaten my brother saying that we owe late fees, when I had already told them in December that we did not want to continue with that service because their benefits were false, and We were no longer going to pay more than the $3,000 that had already been taken from us and that it cost us so much to work to get it.

Please stop the bullying! They already got $3000 from me without giving me anything in return, what else do they want?

Unlimited Vacation Club membership offer not as priomised

We were told that we would get 1 week anywhere we wanted for our family of 6; we are making monthly payments in our contract and today when I called, I was told I have to pay the remainder of the contract before I can use my free week. This was clearly asked the day signed the contract and was told we didn't have to wait as long as we continue doing our schedule payments.

Desired outcome: cancelation of my contract and refund of all my money since we already gave a big down payment and several monthly payments towards something that not only is useless, it also something we were promised and we can't use.

Unlimited Vacation Club Premier nights

I'm a member since 2019 and haven't use any of the so called benefits due to COVID.

I'm a nurse and have been working long hours. I finished paying my membership and when I try to book something online I see that the price on other websites are cheaper plus include the flights. During the presentation the showed me rooms @ $40 or less per night for secrets now they are + $200.

Anyways, I was naive and was scammed without knowledge.

Fast forward to December last year. I had to book my free week before it expired it and the options were limited. I booked for October 2022 for Breathless Punta Cana.

Unfortunately, my job didn't give me off that week. Two other nurses are off.

I want to change my reservation to the week after and was told that I can't move my premier nights. I had until December 27th 2021 to book any premier nights.

So al that money for nothing. I can't even use my premier night. I also asked to extend my membership for free for a year due to COVID. All the airports were closed and no one could travel. The customer service lady laughed at me and said that it wasn't their problem...

Desired outcome: I want them to change my reservation for premier nights. I haven't even used my membership. Extend my membership for a year, to see if i could finally put it to good use.

I emailed the cx@unlimitedvc.com and haven't received a reply to my email or a call back.

I decided to give my premier days to my brother. Which is useless at this point. Because the tickets to Punta Cana are over $1,000 from Newark. He found the same vacation all inclusive, $200 resort credits on Cheap Caribbean on the same dates including flight for $900.

As I mentioned before, this membership is a scam - beware.

You can book a better vacation online.

I just called again and was told that they can't help me. I had until last December to book my premier nights. So if they change the dates, I will lose them. Which doesn't matter anymore anyways, because due to my job I can't travel on the dates I booked.

I'm very disappointed at the whole experience. I paid for this membership for years, haven't use it once and I can't even use my premier nights.

I'll make sure that I can share my experience in multiple websites, so people think multiple times before they commit to this.

We purchase the package in Punta Cana and we’re told it was for 15 years. That was A LIE! ONLY THEIR RESORTS WERE 15 years not the hotels in the USA. When I tried to book the agent said, it was 2 years. How are you going to book 40 weeks in two years. I specifically told the salesperson I wanted the plan more for the nationwide hotels like Marriott, ect. Because my granddaughter was going to be 15 in 5 years and we wanted to plan a trip to a Hawaii IN 5 YEARS, so why would I buy something like that for two when her birthday is 5 years away. She said because the salesman lied she could get the plan canceled and my money refunded, however after hundreds of phone calls they never refunded my money, however they tried to bill us the second billing and I had lost the credit card, so the payment defaulted. When I called to ask why did you try to charge me again, when I requested cancellation, they said it was an error and saw that my membership was up for cancellation. They never returned my calls or money, so I disputed with my credit card for the initial partial payment and they disputed it. So long story short, I canceled and they can see I canceled and they still have not returned the money.

Desired outcome: I want my money back. Fraudulent company!!!

Unlimited Vacation Club UVC scammed us on our honey moon

We were set up for half off excursions if we toured a resort in Punta Cana. The tour guide and broker promised that this vacation club was absolutely not a time share. Showed us all the places we can travel at a discount. Showed us a very thick book that supposedly I was going to receive in the mail but never did. This was in October 2021. Promised us 7 free weeks, cruise credits, 20 rooms for family, the list goes on. Charged my card for deposit 1,199.00 and sent us on our way after knowing it was all a scam. After $5000.00 later and constantly calling us to pay a annual fee. Early pays out, deposits on RCI points, deposits to open up locked items on the websites, have to pay to even get a price match when calling to complain how much cheaper it was and affordable on Expedia then this so called vacation club. Then every time we would want to book a trip it wouldn’t be available or not in the right months. Every time you called a representative they would also scam you for more money. This is such a shame and makes me sick! Here we are in the following year and we lost was money and time. Taking from our families. I WILL figure a way to file a lawsuit! These are false and they distract you the whole time you are signing. So you can read in intervals and miss out on the importance. Just [censored]!

Unlimited Vacation Club Policy never fulfilled

I paid for a contract that was never used. I never used any of the resort stays, the benefits I was promised or anything because of my illness. I never reserved a room, I had no contact of no such after they took my $2,560 from my card. I am simply asking this mega company to issue me, a decorated combat veteran, my deposit. They have seen in there own system that there was absolutely NO activity on end. They claimed they were giving me all of these bonuses valued at XX amount well I never used any of those perks.

Desired outcome: I am requesting a full refund of my initial deposit. I think that is at minimum fair. I never even spoke to a customer service rep when I left Jamiaica.

Unlimited Vacation Club they told me I had to renew to use my Lifestyle AMR account and it is not true.

I called on sept 9th 2021 to use a free certificate for a week, which I didn't realize was with the AMR branch of Unlimited - the Lifestyle collection side of Unlimited said my term expired and I had to sign up for 2 years in order to use it. Just found out today that this is not true. There is no need for me to participate in the Lifestyle part but they say not that they have a recording I agreed to pay them, I must still pay 158 a month for next two years. Even though they verbally mislead me during my call. They got me to sign up even though I have no use for this part of the organiation - I never get to use any part of their services anymore because there are always better deals elsewhere. I am so angry - I want nothing to do with them.

They also said I would only owe $29 for an annual fee when in Feb, I got a call demanding a $150 annual fee or I couldn't get access to the website. I told them is was only $29, but they wouldn't let me use the web without paying, so I did.

Desired outcome: All payments to Lifestyle are to cease immediately. Thank you.

Unlimited Vacation Club - Misleading Club member contract - reposting as my complaint was mark resolved when I’ve never even spoke to anybody far from resolved and I have an ongoing issue, I have emailed as per your comment in my last post with no response!

Me and my husband travel to Jamaica on April 28 at the breathless resort in Montego Bay.

While visiting we were approached to visit a presentation to become a club member of vacation club in return we would receive two massages for $70.00. Just to mention this has been a third visit to this resort. We attended the presentation, they’re offering seemed attractive my husband was interested I on the other hand was hesitant as I always know these things are never what they say they are, they sold us on the a club membership which was A complete farce. It all sounds great at the time and we were told that we would receive our contract to view and as long as we didn’t use any of the perks we would be able to cancel so we didn’t think there was any risk. What attracted us to the package as we were told that we would be picked up privately at the airport and pass all immigrations and hassles every time we took a vacation, we found out that was not the case and there is an additional fee for this, We were sold on the fact that we would get discounted flights from Canada as we typically do all inclusive trips to find out that Funjet does not offer flights from Canada! Along with other things that were promised that we found out we’re not part of our package!

We did not receive our contract as promised and after arriving back home to Canada we had to make numerous phone calls to unlimited vacation club to find out why we haven’t yet received our contract by email! We were also told that when we got back home we would have a welcome call which never happened, after multiple calls we finally got a copy of our contract only to find out that we only had five days to cancel which was not disclosed to us! They informed us that we had five days to review our contract and to cancel but we never received our contract and never had the opportunity review it as promised! What we were told was completely different than what our contract was and they’re selling tactic is not to provide the contract so therefore you get stuck not being able to cancel the contract!

I’ve caught their play and how they operate and this is completely misleading as everything they told us was a lie and unlimited vacations club has been absolutely no help as they also do not stick to their promises when advising they’ll call clients back! I raised my concerns to be escalated to their Members´ Quality Assurance team who I’ve been dealing with a person who has been less them helpful or professional. I originally To be contacted by phone to have a conversation but he will only communicate through email! Communicating with him has made me even more frustrated and irritated and upset as he has not taken any responsibility and acknowledging and understanding our concerns!

Speaking with him has been a complete waste of time as he keeps falling back on the fact that we signed a contract. He will not acknowledge the fact that we could not review the contract because it was never sent to us, with constant back-and-forth from him with no resolution and no acknowledgement or empathy on our side!

He Isn’t gone by first-hand information but going by based on what the resort was telling him…. of course the resort is going to tell him that they provided us the contract so I told him to prove it. if they send it to us by email then they would have it in their sent inbox he has yet to be able to provide that to us! And continues to say that we had five days to cancel the contract.

How can we cancel the contract within five days when we never received the contract nor was advised properly. Dealing with Mr. “Quality Assurance” aka a joke has caused me so much stress and I’m completely appalled in his unprofessionalism in dealing with this matter he constantly falls back on the fact that we signed a contract and does not listen or acknowledge what I’ve been trying to advise him on the fact that we didn’t receive it and that we were misled! He has failed to acknowledge any of this and leas than understanding, he’s made no attempt to satisfy us the client and has informed me that he will not be refunding us! When me and my husband finally had the chance to look at the contract That they finally sent to us when we returned back home we immediately were like we didn’t see any of this information! I know how digital signatures work they had us digitally initial the front page of the contract which then they copied all of our initials to the rest of the contract. we were sold a contract With information in it that we never knew anything about! I don’t even know why anyone would want to be a member of this club, it’s clearly not the kind of club I want to be a member of as they do not treat their clients fairly nor do they inform their customers correctly or stand beside them when they have matters like this! Their main concern is getting your money and making you a victim of falsifying misleading information!

I definitely would not recommend family or friends to this club and after doing some current research I’ve come to find out there are many complaints on this company! I wish I would’ve known this prior………… If anyone has any additional information on the best way to get some satisfaction or who I should be reaching out to I would appreciate the information!
