Unlimited Vacation Club Silver Membership

I just recently go a membership to UVC. I was told things during the presentation that were too good to be true. At the presentation I was pressured the whole time to drink alcohol (which I did). was told things that I would not be able to verify until my membership was past their 4 day cancellation period. After about a month later, I realized how bad this vacation club is. Completely different than what I was told and when I call and get rude agents. Recently called to get a refund since I haven’t used any of the benefits and they refused. Why won’t they refund me for something I haven’t used yet?! On top of that they made an unauthorized payment for the whole balance of my membership and won’t fix it. How is this company affiliated with Hyatt. Disgraceful. Done with Hyatt, secrets, etc.

Desired outcome: Full refund of my money, $21,000 and to cancel my membership.

I already emailed you. I got a call from Elizabeth Ramirez. She told me the only way I will see any of my money is to dispute it with my credit card company and that since I signed a contract they will probably side with the UVC. So there is no way to cancel and get my money back, even though I haven’t even used any of the services yet.

Unlimited Vacation Club Request to extend our 21 Premier Nights and 7 VIP weeks were denied.

We have not been able to travel due to COVID and requested and extension on our 21 Premier Nights and 7 VIP weeks that we have not been able to use since COVID. An initial extension was granted until March 31,2022.

I called on or about In February to have it extended as I was diagnosed with Auto immune disorder in January, but was denied. I called again on or about March 21 with same request and due to war in Europe and COVID, my husband and I did not want to travel out of the country. Told a supervisor would call me back, but no word. Sent an email on March 23, no response, called on March 26 and Carlos, a supervisor denied my request to extend to December 2022 to book. They have all of our money and we cannot use any of the 21 premier nights or VIP weeks that we paid for. Can you help us please?

Desired outcome: Extend our bookings, not our travel dates from March 31, 2022 to December 31,2022.

Unlimited Vacation Club Lies and fraudulent activity

My family and I were vacationing in Mexico. We were approached by the people from your company we have been to dreams and loved it. The rep said a lot of things to us that we found out later were lies. I was not sure about signing the contract my kids were getting restless and I was going to leave the guy told was that if we sign the contract we can always cancel. After we left not worrying about it. He was like sure you 50% price match and off hotels and such which was a lie. they even lower price to find out he lied through he teeth for 3 hours. it is staed you have 5 days following the date of signing - we signed on 3/16 and cancelled on 3/22 - in addition on 3/23 with an email - I called the customer service line @[protected] just to speak to customer service rep to ask me what was lied about - doesn't matter I am within the timeframe and means, refund my money and he was like, i am customer serivce lead and I will forward to corporate to get your refund and rcvd a call in 48 hours - sir refund my money the same way you took it. He was like did you write it down, sir its a sell pitch and I had 7 witnesses in my party

Desired outcome: Please fund my amount of $5,155.50 that I paid.

Unlimited Vacation Club MY Membership is put on Hold

I had a dispute during on our vacation in 2021 June. It was resolved since November 2021. American express has credited GBS VELTREX DEL CIBAO but UVC is giving me the runaround even I have provided proof(s) from AMEX regarding the payment and have a block on my account.

Unlimited Vacation Club unethical sales/theft

My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon in Los Cabos and were " sold another members membership". We put $10,000 down and were advised that we would only lose 10% of our deposit. We are now 4 months later and unable to use the services and we were told that we will lose our entire deposit! we spoke to Nathan "a junior team leader" and Gabriel" a member services team leader" -- he would not disclose his last name and advised that corporate office would email us. I was told that I could not email, call, or write corporate directly about my complaint. I am asking that we lose our 10% as we were told and we all go our separate ways from this lie.

Desired outcome: refund of 90% of my deposit

Unlimited Vacation Club harassment over a bill that we paid in full back in August!

We went on vacation in Cabo in 2018, and unfortunately chose to sign up for Unlimited Vacation Club. In August of 2021, we were notified that we were behind on our renewal fees. My husband called back on August 23rd of 2021 to find out what happened, he opted to not only pay for the 2020/2021 year, but to also pay for 2021/2022. We paid $317.75 on August 25th, 2021. Yet, since Jan 1st, their system decided to have their employees call me every single day, to tell me that our account is past due. IT IS NOT PAST DUE, WE PAID!

I finally called back yesterday, to find out what is going on. I told them that we paid, and the person on the phone told me that they will put a note in there to have them show the bill is paid. I was told that it will take 24 hours for that to show up as taken care of. Why would it take 24 hours for someone to mark this bill as paid? Click on the "PAID" button, and get on with your day, right? Nope. I get an email this morning, informing me that that my bill is past due. So, I called and firmly told that that I need to speak to a supervisor, to get this resolved. I was never patched to a supervisor but was assured that my account was flagged as "do not call," so I would no longer get annoying calls, and that it will take at least 24 hours for my account to show up as paid up to date. I said that I better not get another phone call, or that I will be filing a complaint. Guess who just got a phone call from UVC for a past due bill! Yup, you guessed it, I did! Not only am I getting harassed daily on my phone, but we are locked out of our account over a bill THAT WE PAID.

Desired outcome: A full refund, and cancellation of membership without any further obligations or bad marks on our credit score.

Unlimited Vacation Club Unlimited Vacation Club membership

On April 17, 2021 I participated in a presentation for UVC. I’m requesting a full refund due to product misrepresentation and deceptive sales practices.

That day I spoke to at least 3 sales reps as they did not want to take no for an answer. The third guy offered me a membership that came with 24 one week vacations for $500 each week. He intentionally misled me when I continually questioned the benefits. He stated that $500 is all I need to pay. I even questioned the verbiage in the contract that stated only lodging is covered. He again assured me all I have to pay is $500 lodging cost for the week.

After accepting offer I requested to utilize the benefits and was told I can not use them because it will take 30 days to activate online access.

Later when I finally was able to activate online access, I called to get a quote and I was told there is a mandatory fee on top of the lodging cost.

Nowhere in the contract does it state there is a mandatory fee for all inclusive food/drinks and I was specifically told otherwise.

I realized I was lied to and called to report it and request a refund. A phone rep said he would escalate it to a supervisor.

I get a call from Fabiola and I reported the event to her. She laughed at me and said I am confused and I don’t know what I’m talking about. She insulted my intelligence and said I was ridiculous for believing I would get one week vacation for only $500.

I explained that the UVC sales specifically told me that and that it’s not right to mislead customers.

She said I can’t do anything about it because legally I am bound to the contract. And said she is only able to cancel membership and not provide refund. She Refused to acknowledge the deceptive sales practices I was reporting.

My Membership number is SVX 00193

Unlimited Vacation Club Unlimited Vacation club membership- Candace Gier

I purchased this with the u set standing that we had to earn our free weeks- as in after we were done paying off the “timeshare” however then informed that I lost them as my perk for not using them within 2 years. That wouldn’t go hand in hand with pay off.

I informed them that for the last 2 years I have been in divorce proceedings and we were unable to touch assets, this included until our judges decision in splitting of assets. I also informed them that I was pregnant the 9 months ahead of that as well as a flood taking out home during my pregnancy. There was no way to be able to use our time. I was awarded the time share in our divorce and was told there was nothing they would do and to “accept” the loss. The customer service was rude and completely unsympathetic to anything I had to say as if I had any control over the entirety of the situation. I was then passed to a manager who was beyond rude. I deal in the wonderful world of business and treating my clients with dignity and respect. I would never have not found a solution to help and accommodate a client in hopes that my efforts had then retained business. I don’t know what to do here but I few at a loss of $5000 and that is really hard for me to swallow. The discounts don’t equate to $5000 when my weeks are removed. They especially do not equate in a pandemic. If this does not find resolution I would have be out thousands of dollars which I would deem incredibly unfair and bad business practice.

Desired outcome: I am asking for the return of my free week(s) and an a tension to use them. I am asking to be treated fairly while I was at the mercy of our courts. I am asking that some pride be taken in what you do and how you treat your customers.

Unlimited Vacation Club Delay in processing refund

In the summer of 2021 I purchased an "all inclusive" package ($700) for my grand daughter and husband's honeymoon at the Sunscape Puerto Vallarta Resort through "Unlimited Vacation Club".

They arrived on Oct 10th 2021 for their honeymoon flying in from Idaho in the US. The hotel was a mess. Complete disarray, rude staff, broken air-conditioning and very poor food choices. This could have been due to the Pandemic but just the same it was felt this was not a safe place to stay.

They checked out the next morning (instead of staying a week as planned) and went to a different hotel in the same town.

I was told by Unlimited Vacation Club I'd get a full refund as soon as the hotel returned requested information confirming their having checked out after one night. This could take up to 90 days but should of course take less time.

Upon the 90 days I began calling Unlimited Vacation Club's payment dept number every 10 days or so. EVERY time I'm told they are waiting on the hotel to answer their info request. It's now 127 days and today I was told again they are waiting for the hotel to answer their request. They refuse to give me a corporate contact so I can try and contact them.

Desired outcome: Full refund of deposit.

Unlimited Vacation Club Bait and Switch

I am so disapointed by this company and their inability to offer anything. I am sorry to say I was taken by a company that actually offers nothing. Thousands of dollars down the drain and no products are available. All things promised to us and written in contract are a lie and are unable to be redeemed. Our weeks of vacations cannot be redeemed without paying double or more. The "lowest prices" are also never the lowest. The RCI weeks are actually a day or two maybe. I just cannot possibly explain that I feel like I was uterly and completely robbed by this business and the lack of anything they actually provide.

Desired outcome: I would like the "weeks" I was promised to be provided. Through Unlimited and RCI.

Unlimited Vacation Club Purchase Fraud re: Unlimited Vacation Club

On February 8, 2022 my wife and I attended a sales presentation for Unlimited Vacation Club at Secrets Resort in Jan Jose del Cabo, Mexico. We were impressed by the presentation which presented fixed price weeks (1 bedroom @ $509 U.S. and 2 bedroom @ $628 U.S.) plus $160 U.S. per year and $20 per booking fees but no monthly maintenance (like timeshares) since the two weekly rate quotes ($509 and $628 in writing) were what our pay-as-you-go membership included. Our membership number was SP1-004342.

When we arrived home on February 18, 2022 and I attempted to book online our first potential trip, I found that NOTHING LIKE what we had been PRESENTED AND SOLD was available. I called their [protected] customer service phone and Christian, the representative I spoke with, confirmed that those rates were NOT available and that he had never heard of them.

Today, February 19, 2022, I have tried to talk with someone (including phoning Jorge the original Unlimited Vacation Club salesman at Secrets in Mexico) who can hopefully explain this new information that is radically different from what we were presented and agreed to when we signed the contract.

Desired outcome: At this point, I would like to cancel the contract and receive a refund since it does not remotely resemble what we were sold.

Bait and switch, aggresive sales tactics, misrepresentation and fraud. This company should not allowed to do fake business. Wont even cancel my contract, I haven't used them once since buying and paid fees and downpayment for nothing, even offered to take a loss and not even ask for a refund but to simply cancel my contract since I have NEVER used it but keep getting run around and now threatening with collections. STAY AWAY

Unlimited Vacation Club Cancellation

Due to the current climate of COVID and no longer traveling freely, I have tried repeatedly to cancel this contract. After just receiving a notice of additional membership fees on top of what I currently pay, I have had enough. I no longer want to do business with this company. The bait and switch tactics that you use to get people to sign up are terrible. I cannot believe I fell prey to this.

Does UVC have an out clause? Don't just ignore the billing. You may find you're obligated to pay. You'd be wise to consult an attorney.

Unlimited Vacation Club Scam

In April 2019 we purchased this membership. We were at onyx punts Cana. The gentleman assured us we could combine both certificates once we were paid in full to use our seven premier nights with upgrade to preferred. I have literally spent six hours on the phone, being disconnected, promise of calls back from supervisors which never happen, rudeness and absolutely no resolution. We have been paid in full for over a year and totally getting screwed on a vacation we really need. I have sent emails. Letters. Calls. Nothing. We will be going on the crappy version they are saying is only thing we can do or not get anything for our 5000 we spent on this scam. Horrible customer service. I can guarantee on our vacation I will be walking by the place they give these presentations for and making sure everyone knows of the scam and don’t fall for it. Beyond livid. Going to post on every social media platform as well

Desired outcome: Getting the vacation I was guaranteed. Seven premier nights preferred. And now it probably too late been waiting for three weeks to get this booked

Unlimited Vacation Club Membership

UVC has proven to be a total scam! We were misled using high pressure and unethical business practices with promises of free weeks and greatly discounted rates. Our advisor showed us specific prices as low as $50 per night at specific resorts and hotels and yet as we try to find or book a vacation the prices they offer are always much higher than I can find on any common travel sites not to mention that no dates are available through them. We were scammed out of nearly $12,000 and are receiving no benefits whatsoever with our “White Pearl” membership. In addition every time we speak to them about our benefits promised to us we receive nothing but “word soup” and more lies and conflicting information. We are seeking a total refund of our investment and are interested in any class action lawsuits currently in process or will pursue legal action on our own!

Unlimited Vacation Club Pay Off

Started our membership in June 2021, in August of 2021 upgraded to silver and on December 26 we complete the 120 days as members and there was a promotion that if you pay off you get 10% off, well we never got the email or were informed about it, we got an email on Feb 4/2022 about a cashOut offer discount of 5% and extra 1% if use my bank account, So we talked about it and called your number and talked to a costumer service and asked her if was possible to have the 10% off that they never offer us while we were entitled to, she told me no, I asked to speak with her supervisor and she connected me with her supervisor, who told me she will call me back that same day she said she escalated my case, well the day passed and nobody called us, so I called back and the new lady told me the same again I asked for a supervisor and she put me trough this supervisor name was Sheila and she told me she will escalate my case (AGAIN) and she will call us back in between two days, she said Monday or Tuesday, well nobody called again, we had spend a lot of money with your company and have travel since June 2021 4 times to your resorts, pay our bills on time so its very disrespectful no to have the courtesy of a call back specialty when you are telling me you will.

Desired outcome: Get my 10% off so we can pay off and we can be able to upgrade our membership in our next trip.

Unlimited Vacation Club Cruise Lines

In Nov/Dec of 2020, I booked an Alaskan Cruise through the UVC website/hotline. The cruise was slated for May 2021. I paid my non-refundable down payment of $630.

Due to Canadian COVID measures the cruise was cancelled in Jan/Feb of 2021, and a seemingly helpful associate, Bryan Slade, walked me through my options and helped me move the cruise to 2022. Bryan stated there would be no additional payments until January 2022, and that he would call me prior to making final arrangements. With all the upheaval in travel plans world wide, this seemed to make total sense. A few weeks later my card was still charged the full amount for the cruise, but Bryan helped cancel that charge.

January 2022 rolls around, and I have multiple charge pop up on my credit card. One from Princess cruises, and two from "Our Vacation Club Subscription" for a total of $4000. I never received the call from UVC to discuss the route of the cruise or the potential need to move it farther out. If UVC had called, I would have moved it farther out and changed the route as I did not want to have to enter Canada due to their COVID rules regarding testing, vaccine passports etc.

Unfortunately, UVC is attempting to charge me a cancellation fee in addition to the subscription fees. This is ridiculous.

Desired outcome: Please cancel all fees and Princess fees. I already paid my non-refundable down payment. Please do not steal any more money.

Unlimited Vacation Club Fraudulent Predatory Practice

I know it says not to use generic terms like "scam" "lies" "fraud", but that's exactly what this has been from the start. I've tried to use the membership, after multiple failed attempts at canceling and being told we would have to pay 50%, receive nothing and then they would let us out of the contract. Sadly, I'm actually considering that. Losing $10k is better than losing $19k I suppose. Anyway, I've tried to use the membership only to be told we couldn't combine certificates (something our sales person told us would be the best way to get the most out of the program). I've tried to bring guests, only to be told they would be subject to different pricing and there would be fees - -something again that was told to us differently during the sales process (you can bring up to 20 rooms). The ENTIRE thing has been a scam and a loss from the beginning and amounts to nothing more than a mediocre discount club that I have to pay $19, 000 in advance for?

Desired outcome: CANCEL AND REFUND MY MEMBERSHIP!

So far, your membership has promised so many things that you haven't provided it's virtually impossible to list: pricing is nowhere near the 25-40% they promise over mimosas and they find some excuse, "Well, the one you're seeing online includes air, ours does not, so we can't match that" -- like the airfare makes it LESS expensive? No black out dates? Bullcrap. Already been told twice my dates wouldn't work. Share with you my member id, email and phone number? I've been on with your group of thieves already multiple times and they can't even live up to what they promise on the phone. The last lady promised she would send me an email contact (for some reason she was unable to provide it on the phone) so my legal council could send the list of areas where this contract is complete garbage because of failures on your side -- no email. And the sales tactics used where things are promised and then when it's pointed out that it's not reflected in the contract and they say, "The official paperwork with all of that will be sent to you"- no new paperwork. Because that was a lie, but the buddy-buddy, let's have another drink tactic at the site after you've been there for four hours makes you gloss over it. This has completely bled over to how I feel about AMR Resorts now as well. We have taken 27 vacations across Dreams, Secrets and Breathless Resorts over the past 20 years and I don't ever want to go again because of this experience. SWINDLERS! Stay as far away as you can from this and warn others!

191 complaints -- 132 of them resolved? Are they counting the cut and paste response of "Contact Us", which we've all done and gotten nowhere, as a resolved issue?
