This 'energy' company calls it's operation "direct marketing" but true to form it's looking for the most vulnerable segment of society such as the elderly and unknowing and exploits them. I have been on their tail for over one year now and have interacted with many people scammed by their deceptive quick-hired-much promissed uneducated GOON sales force.

The scam is first 'scaring' people into signing for bulk five [5] year term for power which always ends up costing much more than their current utility provider and when it's finally too much to pay they add on a hefty cancellation fee.

They have already had many run-ins with regulatory authorities but continue to operate since they sub-contract their goon-sales force.

They have another scam. If the subscriber moves they maintain that even if no gas is being delivered the subscriber still has to pay for the full term of the 5 year period. In other words the agreement is not for them to deliver Natural Gas at a certain price for 5 years, but rather for the subscriber to pay for 5 years wether or not gas is being delivered. Also, if a subscriber passes away - there appears to be no exit provision and the heir (usually aged widow) will receive a daunting letter from A1 Collection Agency to pay up or else.
