United Dairy Farmers Lack of care for employees/patrons

During this time with all the hype about the corona virus and how damaging it is to peoples health I cannot believe that udf has not taken precautions against this virus being spread among employees and patrons. They are not getting temperatures read before the start of their shift and there is no barrier between the clerks and patrons. This is something that can be easily accomplished with plexi glass. Iam very dissapointed in the lack of care that udf has for its customers and employees.

United Dairy Farmers Pricing

Went to purchase 2 gallons of milk. Banners on door 2/$5. Handwritten star signage 2/$6 or $3.69 each. Register - $7.38. Pointed out signage but cashiers shows me register screen $6.78. Advised me price must have changed. No milk for me. Bad reputation for you. Price gouging and fraud during this time does not go over well. I will pass over UDF going forward.

Been going to this udf for many years. I'm there at least twice a week. I always get a fudge nut sundae shake. The staff has always been amazing, but today was different. I'm guessing the woman who was there today was a corporate employee or at least some kind of manager. I told her I'd like a large fudge nut sundae shake. She proceeded to tell me no, that...

United Dairy Farmers cookies & cream frozen yogurt

I am writing this complaint because the last 3 cartons of Cookies & Cream frozen yogurt have had hardly no cookies in the entire carton. If I wanted vanilla yogurt I would buy vanilla yogurt. I have been buying this for over 3 years and if the quality doesn't improve and the cookies don't appear... I will find another brand that actually has cookies in it. I pay 5.99 a carton, I expect to get what the carton says is inside.

United Dairy Farmers parking /deliveries

I visit my local UDF every morning on my way to work to fill my coffee. I have been going there every weekday morning for years. Staff and managers are all friendly and helpful. It is a smaller UDF and doesn't have much parking with a street on one side. My issues stems from the delivery drivers blocking the parking and access at least 3 days a week making it hazardous to access the parking lot and taking up at least half of the area designated. Over the years of visiting I have been blocked in and forced to wait, forced to shimmy back and forth until I am able to leave the lot, almost in accidents with other vehicles who are having the same problem, or just not able to enter because the lot is full from 6 people visiting. The lot is to small for a full sized semi and trailer but they force them into the lot anyway leaving a minimum amount of space for patrons. This morning 10-14-2019 the UDF Delivery driver pulled into the lot from the residential side street (Aurora) and blocked it (because the truck is to large for entering from that side and barriers are present blocking half the lot entrance for signage) while I was pulling in from the other side (Bridgetown Road Entrance) He blocked cars on the side street and did not stop in the parking lot turning in my direction so he didn't hit the barriers, forcing me to slam on my breaks and stop halfway into the lot. Leaving half of my vehicle in the street. Luckily no one was behind me or I would have been hit. I was forced to back up and go another way. With both the entrance and side street blocked for the delivery I decided to continue on to work. I have lost my patience with an almost daily hindrance in my schedule and will not be visiting anymore. Shameful that it is more important for delivery drivers convenience to be able to park next to the building than it is t be able to have long term customers enter the (convenience) store.

United Dairy Farmers product

We wanted a peanut butter malt on our way to the casino so we stopped at the UDF about 5 or 10 miles from the casino that is right on the corner of an 4 way road and it also had a PNC atm inside and we got 2 peanut butter malts and they was not malts at all, they was flavored milk. A malt should be hard to suck thru a straw these where so runny it was like drinking flavored milk. This has been happening a lot lately I am tired of wasting my money for something and not getting what I paid for, these things are not cheap. You need to start retraining these people, they do not want to put a lot of ice cream in it because it is to hard to scoop so they get stingy on the ice cream and pour a bunch of milk in it instead. Not happy at all.

United Dairy Farmers the young man working

I went to UDF on 7/25/2019 @ 5:40pm . The donut I went in for was out of stock so I asked the gentleman working if they had them in the back, I'd like one. He said "they're not checked in yet, I don't know what to tell you".
That was rude and no type of customer service anyone would appreciate. I think he may need more customer service training. In the future, I'll visit a different store. Thank you.

United Dairy Farmers homemade brand

I want to let Cincinnati really know about this so called family business. At one time this was a great place to work, not only were the employees treated fantastic, they actually cared about their product. I personally know many people that worked in the manufacturing plant from the 1980s to present day. Around the cookies and cream big hit UDF had they started down a mudslide. New management came in as Robert Lindner began to exit and his sons Robert Jr., Bradley and David began to take over. If you remember Robert Jr had a run in with drug possession in the mid to late 90s. He was removed to "get help" and Bradley pretty much took over. David took control of the advertising and store end of the business. From here on out the company began to cut back on employee benefits, pay and the quality of employee they hired. The cookies and cream went from "REAL OREOS" to some knock off that looked like oreos. They began using lesser quality ingredients and using cheaper ones instead. After UDF quit producing its own label milk and began to purchase milk from other suppliers and slap their label on it. Sure many companies do this, however the "fresh" cream they produced was not available and began to purchase from cheaper places. No big deal? Well cream as in most dairy items has a shelf life (a time before it becomes rancid. The practice was to use ALL high dollar items such as cream and others... nothing was to be wasted. I mean that can cut into someones bonus for the year and result in company $ lost. Now I know people are thinking, "The FDA checks and evaluates this stuff!". They sure do, however (again) there are ways to play magic tricks and make old items look like they have been used before x amount of time or not even used at all. This happens all the time. Chocolate Icecream has a very dark color and defined flavor.. able to concel many "off" items. I was told this personally "Do not eat Chocolate Icecream from anywhere especially UDF". Now can this make you or your family ill or cause health issues? More than likely not, but do you really wanna pay $5.89 for a less than half gallon of homemade like icecream? Would you go to a restaurant and pay big money for a steak only to find out it was a piece of meat that was not only steak but other stuff that couldn't be sold or was beyond the recommended shelf life? Besides expired products I was told items that couldn't be used or miscolored or misflavored items were "burried" into the chocolate hole. Sub par items that you think are just as good but really rent. Your paying big $ for a name a hometown name and really your not getting anything better than the 2 for 5 at Kroger. Atleast Kroger runs such a high volume that they dont have to use expired or near expired items. Your thinking to yourself.. this is just a disgruntled employee that is making up stuff to make them look bad. I challenge you to contact an employee from there. Since the 80s they have gone through 100s of employees and someone always knows a friend of a friend. Im not saying do not buy their products nor have I seen this 1st hand. I do feel the source that told me is very valid, trust worthy and has no reason to lie. Now your thinking why doesn't this person tell this story him/her self? Well its simple, if you talk bad about your employer in Ohio.. then can fire you just for any reason. They may not like your hair or say they just flat out don't need you any more. The whole reason for this is to open peoples eyes, in toady's time its rough making enough money to pay bills, buy cars, clothes, feed your children and if you have money left over for the "good things in life" wouldn't you want what your paying for? This is your hard earned money, the Lindners own almost all of Cincinnati and their icecream is only a drop in the bucket. Make them accountable to produce good QUALITY icecream. Now sure they donate to soooo many organizations and are so giving.. and this is true and a "major" tax write off. Businesses have to shed x amount of monies at the end of a year to cover tax write offs and receive credits other wise bat money goes to the government. Now if you had your chance would you rather donate your taxes and make you look like a kind hearted person or just give your money to the government. Each dollar donated puts them at a tax advantage, thus decreasing the taxes actually paid. I personally am fed up with any of these big business they say they are caring Christians and care more about people than money. Are people that blind? Until people stand up and see past the smoke and mirrors these type of business will only get bigger and richer. Now your thinking.. but there has to come a time that they have enough money! Untrue, to them its a game of Monopoly. Using us as the opponent's. To them its all about how much, how many and how do I get more. Its like a heroin addict, you get your fix and you cant wait until the next one. God Bless You all. I do not hate the Lindners or their products, I'm just saying at one time they were the best company and had the best products.. people and products do matter. I know they wouldn't buy a car that had poor materials in it.

United Dairy Farmers a unimaginable experience at store no. 310

I decided to stop by the Lakewood, Ohio store, which is Number 310.

I know they break the Ice Cream down early twice a week on Sunday and Wednesday in order to deep clean freezer cases.

It was 10:55 and I thought I would stop by and see if I could buy a Sundae before 11:00 P.M.

There were three employees working, and all taking part in breaking down the Ice Cream counter freezers.

The two female employees I recognized, but I do not recall their names.

The male employee had his back turned, but I think it could be Joe.

This store has an issue making a Sundae the way the customer requests it to be made.

I like going to UDF for the Sundaes, but I would rather pay more for the extra toppings on a King Size Sundae, then having a cup with nothing but Ice Cream.

The employees at this store that know how to make a Sundae the way they are requested to are:

Matt, Jim, Maegan, and John.

I have had all the above make Sundaes for me and I am satisfied and get my money's worth.

Well tonight these female employees seemed to enjoy the fact that I stopped in and they already had the Ice Cream broke down, and the Orangish/Red Haired employee stated that Matt's not even here, so come back tomorrow.

This employee knows that I will not let her serve me because of the number of older females in this store with terrible attitudes and customer service.

They are grouchy, not genuine, and seem to not like their jobs.

It is well known that I have complained to Matt, an excellent CSR about my experiences at this store.

I have sent compliments and complaints via email to the Consumer Affairs at this company. I have never received a phone call regarding my emails, just robo email responses.

I am a CSR at a local Pizza Shop not far from this store and I live right down the street.

I also spend volunteer time as a Consumer and Community Advocate.

I am truly disappointed and may have to spend my money elsewhere or just visit this store when some of the more competent employees are working.

United Dairy Farmers unprofessional cashier | sexual harrasment

Last week (7/18/2009) my Fiancee went to UDF to purchase some items. When she was checking out, the cashier, whom is named Dave (about 19 or 20), insisted that she take UDF's free matches, she refused (she doesn't need them), he insisted again, and again, until finally she took them. Once she arrived home she went to throw out the matches but used them to light a candle first. She flipped the match book open and there was this "Dave" persons phone number.

As a senior sales person and a person educated in well, simple communication this is totally unacceptable. I would also think that this "Dave" would have seen her engagement ring... maybe he is diamond blind. :)

So, for now, I am boycotting UDF Gas and all retail locations.

I wonder what his closing ratio is on this match scheme... maybe a good idea for sales.

Went to UDF June 20th at 9:30 pm with my family. (6yr old and 3yr old) I was 3rd in line and there were at least 10 or more people behind me. The store manager came to help and started taking all the people behind me instead of taking the next in line. At first, I was annoyed, didn't say anything. Then a lady pointed my family out to him telling him I wa...

At 7:220 pm on 10/11/2008 I was at your store and ordered the 5 oz. frozen yogurt in a cup which was on sale for $1.49. When I went to the register the girl informed me it was $2.29. I told her I had pointed to the sign and asked for the $1.49 size. She said the guy who made it had given me too much and proceeded to sit it on the back counter and make me...

United Dairy Farmers water in gas

Did anyone get any bad gas from UDF in Blanchester on Thursday June 26, 2008. After getting gas, my van hesitated like I was running out of gas. Then it started running fine. Got home went out a few hours later, put it in reverse, backed up just a little then it died on me. Couldn't keep it running. I emailed company and they said they had no complaints. But when I called the store the guy working said he already had a couple of calls about the gas. If you got gas there and your car isn't running right could you please contact me at [protected]@aol.com. If I have a few more people then we can do something about it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

It is disgusting how dirty United Dairy Farmers freezers are. I cannot believe they would put food in those freezers. This is sad. I go to the Dairy on Cleves and Warsaw Cincinnati, Ohio 45238. The company needs to clean their store up.

I am a huge fan of the ice cream you produce but this last time i bought four half gallons i threw three in the garbage. The ice cream box looked like someone carved out a fourth of the ice cream and it was frozen over with ice crystals through it and tasted funny.
