UEI does nothing but lie to there students. They promise you success in writing and verbally, but nothing is honored. I took the pharmacy technician course there in 2009 and graduated with high honors and still don't have a EI job. I took CPR training in june 2009 and still do not have my CPR card. Every time I ask about it my instructor tells me it should be here any day now. They weren't that relax about getting my tuition payment. Every single day they had no problem interrupting class to harass students about there tuition payments. Why has it been 8 months and I still do not have my CPR card. I am still waiting to be registered to take the PTCB exam that was included in my tuition. I filled out the application in October 2009, and still have not been registered dby the school. I went to check on the reason why, and Found that my application was sitting in the desk of one of the instructors for 4 months! Then they invited students who were not yet employed to come to a job fair that would have employers from all fields, but when we arrived there were no employers at all! They gave us some cookies and soda and asked us why we think we haven't got a job. Then they took down our phone numbers (like they don't have that info already) then told us, " Thank you for coming". They wasted my time and my gas. Career services does nothing to help students find jobs. I tried to utilize my counselor, and all I got was a list of outdated job leads that she had given to other students 3 months before. All their information was on the job leads including the dates she faxed their resumes months before. I found my own externship site because my coordinator said she did not have any sites. I am not the only one who feels this way. I have over 20 classmates that attended school with me as well as previous students who all share similar issues. I found out that this has been going on for years. If anyone is planning a lawsuit I would like to join in. Please don't be fooled. These are the type of services you receive when you attend UEI College. What a waste of time and money.

Hahaha I had the worst experience at that school f*** the lousy ### teacher who was trying to hook up with all the students passing students on missed tests and letting others retake when there was no retakes allowed just to try and get in their pants. That's school has the material to learn but employs some loser ### teachers with only 3 years exp without credentials... I passed that lousy program with a 4.0 having to correct the "professor" what a [censored] bag always trying to find a way to weasel his way through class only to play like he gave a ### for the students education. Even when I went to the "director " he couldn't find any substantial evidence linking this clown to any of this. I even seen emails from this loser stating he was in love with his student hahaha what a bunch of losers and after I graduated one of my certificates said KAPLAN college Hahahaha WTF! Printing other college certificates? A competitor college? I didn't even care to go to the graduation, I received my AA from a community college the same month. These recruiter manipulate young kids by selling dreams please that school is a lingering fart!

I'm thinking of bringing up a case . Im looking into lawyers. Im going to bring a case in the UEI, El Monte. Im really tired of paying something that it not benefiting me. I found a job on my own and completely out of the field. I was able to pay a couple months worth, but now I'm unemployed. I graduated on Oct of 2011, and was told that there would new job openings in 2012. Such lies! They don't ever answer their phones, nor do they return my calls. Anyone want to jump into the bandwagon and have their voice heard?

I recently graduated from UEI 2012 for my LVN imnot going to lie it suck! teachers were not good... We went to do our clinicals only to SNF and not hospitals like they said.. what cani say i dnt like the school but it was the only one that accepted me to get into the nursing program... so i decided to go again... to make story short, i graduated and i study my assss offffff bymyself to get my nursing license and of course know i work as a nurse without needing the help of UEI... If you want to be succesful and you want a career you will do what ever you can to do that! harder

@ Car_pool Man, unless you have attended UEI as a student, you have nothing to say.
Yes you may know some people who work for UEI and those limited few may care for their students, but it's obvious that those were not the people we experienced. If it were you or a love one or your going to what we are going through you would have a totally different tune. You don't have to believe the facts if you don't want to, if you choose keep your blinders on if you wish. But but isn't it funny how everyone stories are the same almost, if not exact? Different areas same methods, fuctions an operation.
I hate to be the 1 to tell you but the people that you know who work for UEI, if they got over on us you better be careful to the dumb as you are they will take you for everything you've got

What everyone is saying here is true, luckly I graduated from uei and landed a job, but that's cause I worked hard finding it, uei didn't help look for it, I had to go nd look, all they gaved me where stupid leads, I could of found those on craigslist, when they laid me off my job I went back to uei to help me find one, I havent heard from them since, luckily I got my job back, they really dnt give a crap, the only thing they care about is the money, every dam time Maria would go nd get me out of class to pay up the monthly fee, when I was there they building the whole new rooms, so we where stuck not doing any labs or any hands on training, so I missed half of what we where supposed to be learning. If there is a lawsuit going on let me get in it, because uei is a bunch of lies, so let me noe I support it 100%.

I was told that I was going to be put into a job with in the first month of graduating from UEI and I was sent on a huge run around to just fail at interviews that where why more informational than what I was taught at that school. I have also not heard or have been called back from my adviser that was suppose to keep in touch with me, I called and left a message to call me back in regards to finding a job and got nothing but a voice mail and no returned call, so I decided to try the front approach and go to the school. Well, when I got there, he was no wheres to be found whats so ever. Also, the intern site that I was sent too was a complete joke, no one is going to learn anything from San Diego PC help what's so ever. Well to get straight to the point, I have been lied too, ran around worse than the army recruiters, send too a very bad intern site, no calls back, Adviser never to be found when need to talked too him/her, Teachers never there... this is a very terrible school and I would not send any one there and I just graduated from that school.

Look at commonsense233...yes folks, another shill...Hey commonsense233 quit hiding behind all the losers and prove your so called, " quite a few are working in their field of study "success stories. My experience is hardly anyone is working in their field of study after attending UEI. The truth is even the ones who are not "busy screwing around, smoking weed or thinking of new ways to manipulate the welfare system" are not able to find work in their field. Like I said before UEI is a joke and employers know it that's why you need experience...at least two years to be accurate. You might as well have the experience and you wont have to pay a bulls*** student loan back. Whats the matter UEI ? Instead of lying to your students, sending out shills to protect your name and those bulls*** commercials(which you don't see lately... I bet they are scrambling to find more ways to scam people into their system with some new TV or radio ad)...you do the right thing and screen the students that attend these schools, kick out the non hackers and actually back up the line of lies you handed everyone(including the ones who never missed a day of class and received excellent grades)...Lies, lies and more lies piled on top! Looks like UEI will be hitting rock bottom...look at all the complaints! UEI cannot provide you the opportunity to do something with yourself. Even If you do make the most of it you will be on here complaining about how you were lied to and scammed... they are not miracle workers or educators... They are schemers and scammers...period!

I don't think UEI is even accredited with the the right accreditation centers for the AAMA. That means even if I graduated with 4, 0 and wanted a good job at a hospital and tried to get certified with the American Association for Medical Assistants I can't because of the school I payed 10 grand for isn't accredited. OMG I'm so bummed I don't have the money to do it again so I can get the right certification. I made the best of the worthless classes full of drama, put my head in the books studied my butt off. I put it all aside and told myself you'll get what you put into it and now this! I can't be a CMA only a NCMA? Generic version of a CMA? So upset!

Yes I agree. I had to teach myself in class. It was a joke. I graduated then went to get my certification from a center recommended by UEI and come to find out my certification isn't really what employers want. What ever you do don't get certified by ncct only aama. Super sad I have to pay for my test again and re test with the right place. I would never recommend UEI to anyone. UEI YOU SUCK!

UEI is a vocational college. In order to be successful here or in any trade school you need to attend class daily and on time, pay attention in class and make your education and training a priority. Check all the baby daddy and baby mama drama at the door and be a mature, responsible adult. If you do these things you can be successful! I know alot of people that have gone there and quite a few are working in their field of study. I also know some that did not do well and are unemployed. This school can only provide you the opportunity to do something with yourself. If you do not make the most of it you will be on here complaining about how you were lied to and scammed... they are not miracle workers. And as of particular note, the people i know that did not do well are usually to busy screwing around, smoking weed or thinking of new ways to manipulate the welfare system to have ever had a chance.

hey sombody that cares,
You obviously did not read what alot of these people are talking about ...the school is responsible for an environment you can actually learn in... dont make this a race thing...there's always people that are willing to work hard and there are going to be lazy people. Uei is the problem...They accept anyone they can rail into thier scam, so they can recieve the gov. grant from everyone that can not afford it(which happens to be most peoples problem these days).
Uei scammed us, the goverment and taxpayers alike...Yes if you have a legal job, you are paying for this scam and helping line the pockets of these finacial terrorists. Forget your roots and do whats right for you and this country.

Grad of March 2012 MBIC course. The course cost 15 to 17 thousand dollars WOW! i only paid 2, 000 dollars if i had to pay 15 to 17 thousand dollars i would not have attended or joined. The course is great but the problem is to much ghetto people, what i mean is felons, cholos, cholas, drugies, and the list goes on. To many youngsters bad mouthing each other in the hall ways to much drama. El Monte is were i attended UEI when i walked in for the first time it seemed ok but once you enter into class its a whole different story. Todays youngsters dont have respect for anyone or anything all they do is cuss all day long. To all my young latinos stop being so ghetto and lazy, you want everything giving to you on a silver platter, remember your roots cabrones when your parents or grandparents came here to give us a better life but do you applie to it hell no all you do is lie and act negative. To the ones with good mind and heart echale ganas carnal and dont give up. What im trying to say is life is to short to waste on puro pinche chismes, stop bad mouthing and start applying your skills get out and look for work dont expect carreer services to find you a job get your lazy ### out and find it yourself get off the ###ing internet and start walking in to companies and fill out apps. dont just sit there in your room and send out resumes all pinche day long WTF todays technology CHINGADO and dont worry about the school accepting felons ect... worry about yourself and apply your skills not te agas pendejo. Remember this
A QUITTER NEVER WINS AND A WINNER NEVER QUITS
P.S. ThankYou to all the teachers that tried to help
and thanks to all the students that smoked weed and drank beer in the parking lots while healthworks was observing us and the other company, because of your ignorance and ghetto mentality the companies wont give us the benefit of applying.
Maybe its not UEI maybe it the latinos and all the other races that failed to been professional you be the judge.

I attended UEI Recently in Greater Los Angeles Area. I am a service member and was scheduled to attend A.T(Annual Training). I asked the Educational Department if A.T was going to be a problem so i can contact my Chain of Command. I was Told that it was going to be fine. I had to Miss 5 days of school for A.T. They claimed that i had to take the whole month off because after 5 days you absent you will fail the MOD. When i returned from Leave(A.T) 30 days later i was told that I had to see Financial Aid Department. The Female at financial Aid claimed i had to submit a Fasfa Form for Financial Aid because my Leave was pushing me into another calendar year and they had to return funds to Depart of Education. I asked her if i can call the Feds and expain the situation and was told There was nothing i can do. I filled out another Fasfa form as qualified for less funding. I submitted forms as requested by her. I requested to transfer campuses and so she didn't submit my financial aid forms. The other school told me the same thing after the first day, I submitted the forms to the again and when i complaint about the order they put me back on leave and returned me back to my original campus.. I was told by the second campus i had a balance of 800.00 and so i made a big deal about it. They put me back on leave and set me up for night school at my old campus. I finished my courses and extern site training and they are refusing my diploma unless i pay $2700.00. my A.T paid me 600.00 and due to my 3 Voluntary leaves they couldn't secure funding.
I tried to avoid this...I asked first before going on leave. They kept doping the ball and when you leave messages they NEVER return the called, Not Financial Aid or their Muscle in the educational Department. They leave demanding messages, it seems no one wants to dirty their hands. when you get someone they promise to have someone call you and never do. The only one that contact me was the Placing department to see if im working or to sign a form clearing them so i won't be a statistic damaging their ratings. I been patient and waited for 5 months for a friendly call but non received. I just missed out in graduation a week ago.
If there is another service member out there with issues. contact me and we can use the New Obama "Schools for profit

Hello, I would like to know how to file a class action law suit against UEI. UEI is the huge Scam, they do and say anything just to sign you up, and all that said is out the window. I would love to start a class action suit against UEI for misrepresenting them selves, When I first went to UEI, I told them my situation regarding how i want to get in, but it would be kind of hard since i am a single mom of two. They told me not to worry, they offer financial assistant. I asked them what if i only attend school for 2 or 3 weeks and quit due to circumstances, they said no problem, i would only pay for the time i went there and not the whole amount which was about 5, 000. They even gave me a form in case i wanted to drop, they said that i had two weeks to chance my mind, and i Will not be charged at all, as if i did not go in at all. I said OK sound good, i will give it a try. LIES! I went for the two weeks, then i had to leave, what happened! they send me the whole bill amount. All what they told me was nothing but lies just so i sing up to meet there quota. For over 3 years now, and the collection agency harasses me everyday on my cell phone. I called UEI and told them the situation about 16 times, to find my paperwork to see that i should not have to pay according to what they told me, know one calls me back, nor reply to my emails. If there is a Class action law suit out there please add me to it.
Thank you Halla Elsineit

If uei was so good...how come there are so many complaints. Use your comon sense and look back at anything that is a sham...there will be mostly complaints and one or two that are conected with the scam itself defending it and putting anyone down who exposes them.
I am personally starting blogs that tell the truth about these so called schools...I will enjoy these guys going down...Join the fight Start a blog ...I can show you how...message me here...we can take these crooks down by exposing them to the world...

UEI has been having problems in placing students with jobs let alone externship positions. The career service department will only assist you in finding a job after graduation. I stress the word "assist." There is no guarantee by the company or the school that a graduated student will have one but the people in their admissions department use that as a selling point to get you in the door. Essentially it is a lie from the beginning. The company is more interested in collecting the tuition money than the benefits of the student. Each campus must have a certain number of placements of students to meet accreditation criteria for each program offered. This required number will determine if the school will be able to accept more enrollments. At this moment, the majority and eventually all the UEI campuses will slow or stop enrollment because these numbers are not being met. In addition to the stoppage in enrollment, a vast majority of staff members and instructors company wide have been laid off with multiple classes combined into larger ones. The current students enrolled at some of their campuses now are being forced to go on a leave of absence so that they can resolve the placement issue to get back on track. Each student that enrolls with UEI signs an agreement of 8 months or whatever time frame for program completion that is stated by their representative, the students affected can sue UEI for a breach in contract where the company has failed in that regards. Therefore, a reimbursement of tuition can be a possibility so check with a lawyer on this. A class action is possible if more than 60 students pursue this. Another problem that this company has is the level of training and education of the so called instructors. The majority of the instructors do not know their right hand from their left. Either the instructors have not worked in the field they teach for years or they hire instructors that are purely ignorant. Yes there are "good' instructors but not many. When a prospective student takes a tour of a campus, the person providing the product knowledge of the program in question is usually the "smartest" one there or the person would repeat a memorized cheat sheet of the "spectacular" things the program would offer. Well, it is a load of misinformation because the severely entry level of education of their instructors. Just because an instructor says I have been doing whatever it is for so many years does not make you an expert or even knowledgeable. You may wondering how I would know all of this. Well, I will not disclose my current job position with UEI but I hope this will shed some light on how bad this company is. LIES, DECEPTIONS, POOR EDUCATIONAL CURRICULUM, IGNORANT INSTRUCTORS, AND UNCARING STAFF MEMBERS AND DIRECTORS WILL PRODUCE THE LOWEST QUALITY STUDENTS YOU CAN IMAGINE. If you are guessing I have some bad blood with the company, well I do if they are going to produce a poor quality student from the moment they enroll to the day they graduate. After hearing from some employers who have hired recent graduates of UEI, these employers have let these graduates go because of the poor level of training and education received by them. I have been an educator for 15 years teaching post secondary to collegiate courses. I have never seen such a dysfunctional company that has so much financial greed at the cost of the students they enroll. You can do the math. $16, 000 roughly for tuition and multiply that by 1000 to 4500 students (depending on the campus) every 8 months to a year. That is a lot of money that each campus would receive gross wise. You can imagine where UEI's priorities are. Well, I hope this sheds a little light on how bad UEI is and not to consider any of their vocational programs.

I am planning to file a lawsuit against uei. They send me to collection for not paying 3605 but and added an extra 1500 making it 5000 to pay them. How do they expect me to pay when they never helped me find a job. They career service personnel were rude and not helpful. I graduated 2010 its 2012 and still havent heard from them. went many times to the school and they were always rude they would take long periods of time to attend me and would send all the school to the same interviews they send me too. I live in the inland empire so if you would like to get together and make a complain even put in the news this is my email nm_Avalos@yahoo. I paid them over 10 gran out of my pocket since they told me i didnt qualify for financial aid. I think it isnt fair that they do this to us.

I am planning to file a lawsuit against UEi pretty soon. They sent me to collection for 3605 but raised it to almost 5 thousand dollars because i did not pay the remainning balance but it was impossible to pay that much when they i have no job and did not do anything. The career service ladies were very rude. The president from the school called me telling me that the collection agency was charging the extra 1500 and i called the agency and told me the school was cheaging me that which is ridiculous when they didnt find me a job and still expect me to pay more. i payed them 10 gran out of my pocket since they told me i didnt qualify for financial aid. I think we should all make a complain on the news and get our money fake for fraud. because they promise all these things but they do not even help you at all. if you are interested in the lawsuit i live in california this is my email address nm_Avalos@yahoo

I attended the BOA program at UEI CHULA VISTA. Everyone is entilted to their own opinions! I absolutely had a great experience at this school and I learned so much. They got me an externship as an Executive Assistant at a Real Estate Firm and I am now employed there. If it wasn't for my Teacher and my training I received I would have been stuck in the food service hating my job. I now sit behind a desk in a comfortable chair and do something I love. My experience was great at UEI, everyone is entitled to their own opinons. I feel for those who didn't have such a great experience, but not all experience at UEI are bad. Mine is one of the many sucess stories from UEI. My husband is now attending for his Criminal Justice Diploma and he loves it. I would recommend this school if you can dedicate everyday to your studies and are prepared for a fast track course, because it is very fast paced. If you aren't, then I recommended a regular community college.

UEI is having serious accreditation problems because of this issue of placement. they have done mass layoffs at all of their schools and they are only concerned with keeping their accreditation so they can continue taking our tuition money. They are NOT compassionate and are top heavy with too many bosses that know didly ### about education. Its more about Who you know at UEI! And some of the corporate [censored]s know that this is absolutely the truth! be wary, be very wary and do not enroll here for at least one year. At that time see if they are still in operation. No accreditation = no funding! No funding = no school!

I completely agree UEI College was a waste of my time! I am currently working in a Private Aerospace Company but its not thanks to them. I was working there before i decided to attend this school. My Verbal skills suck which means they didn't do anything to make me talk better. i had very good grades. I Worked an 8 to 3 Shift and would go to school from 530 to 10. Please im 18 years old and I was expecting success. My Boyfriend, My friend, My Cousin, and People they know did not get a job either. They got sent to places that weren't hiring to do their internships. i would like to start a lawsuit. Anyone know of a lawyer i can afford. I dont make much and i have a lot of debts and that school loan is KILLING me im so stressed over it.

well me and my friend went to UEI campus for information and tour today. felt a little weird to me, like something about it was off. So I decided to do some research about the school before I made my choice. GLAD I READ THE REVIEWS about this school before deciding to join or not. I actually been online looking through MANY DIFFERENT review sites about UEI, and I can honestly say. OUT of the 1000's of reviews I read. ONLY 3 where good. while the other's where BAD. I had the feeling that it was kinda a scam school. its to much money for just a diploma. Thank you for your input. I think I'll go to city college instead. I rather go to a two year college than a 8 month scam.
