Turkish Airlines turkish airlines service

My flight from Riyadh was delayed for almost 2 hours. Never once did the few or captain apologized. There was no communication. Upon landing I had already missed my connecting flight and the Turkish airlines staff couldn't care less. They were rude and refused to provide any hotel or compensation and booked me on a next flight - 12 hours later. New airport has no trams and one has to walk 45 mins just to get to the gate. I am never ever flying Turkish again.

It gets worst. The flight that I was rescheduled TK1045 is now delayed by 1 and half hours. They claim to be the best airline with a so-called business airport. It is the worst airport and airline that I have dealt with. And, THY never bothered to return my communication. Nice way to win business!

Turkish Airlines flight delayed staying hotel money refund

My flight from NEW DELHI india was to porto on 25th april with a connecting flight with a hault at istanbul airport . The flight name was TK0717. There services are really bad as they dont cope up with the english speaking people. There services are really bad. I am getting problem in getting my money which was wasted in transportation services. My flight which was to be completed in one day at 25th april only was delayed to 26th. my connecting flight was delayed to the next day on 26th april in morning at 7:15. The main reason for the complaint is to get a compensation for the money i spent in istanbul for one day! They told me to also take e visa for one day and i spent money on that and told me that i will get a refund on that.! but there services are so bad ! I got no refund

Turkish Airlines bad behavior of ground floor turkish airline staff (especially ladies staff)

Dear Sir,

I was travelling back home to Oman on 3rd May 2019 in Istanbul Airport (Flight Time 18:25). I arrived at the airport two hours before my flight. The first rude check in clerk advise me to go to the tax free counter for my tax free luggage but she dont know where it is. She just pointed to go there and i have to ask somebody else she told me. When I went to the tax free counter, they said they wont alloiw small baggages for tax free to be checked in and I can carry my luggage through the immigration. I told them this is a tennis racket. They said its ok. When I went to the immigration and pass through the xray, the police officer stopped me and said that tennis rackets are not allowed. Then I told them that I was informed that for tax free items i have to bring it along with me. I asked further help and they endorse me to another police officer. The Police Officer told me to ask support from the Turkish Airline Customer care. I was running to the hallway until I reached customer care. This mean lady told me i cannot help you at all. The Police is just asking for 1 Turkish Airline staff to talk to them. And Turkish Airline staff ignored me at all. And told me go talk to someone else. What? I had this worst experience with the Ground Floor Turkish Airline Staff. And i wont ever ride with turkish airlines anymore. The staff have the worst behavior I have ever imagined. They are so arrogant and some of them are just sitting there doing nothing and they are not willing to help.

Turkish Airlines flight delay

Good morning,

I was travelling with Turkish Airlines on April 24th, 2019 from Skopje - Istanbul - Bucharest.
I received no information about the reason of the flight delay to Instanbul. The flight was delayed about 1 hour and 20 minutes, therefore I lost the connexion flight to Bucharest.
In Skopje I was informed at the Turkish Airlines counter that a hotel room will be available. I received a completely different information in Istanbul (no hotel). I had to stay in the airport the entire night, as the flight to Bucharest was early in the morning.
Please let me know why was the flight delayed and why did I received completely different information from your staff.

Turkish Airlines stopover program

Hi. I am dr. Shah. From malaysia. I use to travel on average 4-5 times in a year for conference. Since I has a conference in france this sepetember, for the first time as I heard turkish airline has stopover program, I choose the turkish airline and stopped at instabul. The issue is. I cant contact the freehotelmalaysia@thy.com. That supposed to facilitate me. All the email fail. Evertime I email. The reply from mail service is their email is full. This upset me. This is my first time using turkish airline.. I hope not the last.

Turkish Airlines flight cancellations and delays

Hi my booking number is sy45ju. I had booked a 3 stop holiday in turkey from april 7 2019 to apr 19 2019. Even before I flew my flights were changed (most only 5 minutes) but my flight from keyseri to antalya was changed such that my second connecting was about 5 hours before my first flight. After spending many hours trying to solve my issues and being told that I had to go to the airport to solve issue it was csolved but after I had to change flights and lose out on a night at my all inclusive hotel. Meaning I lost out on my already paid for hotel. When actually on the holiday most flights were delayed without any explanation or apologies. Whilst in keyseri (sunday 14 apr) my flight was cancelled once boarded and delayed over 12 hours. Meaning I lost a further day on my hotel booking. Once we reached antalya half our luggage was in international arrivals and half in domestic, the luggage was also broken and one 1 the lock was missing. Overall the staff were unhelpful and would make us feel like we where asking for too much. No explanations given. I have traveled on many airlines including other star alliances and this has been my worst experience to date. Travelling with children and staying in airports whilst sorting out issues has been a nightmare. I have also messaged turkish airlines as I expect some form of compensation for all my issues for an airport that was opened to early due to political reasons.

Turkish Airlines luggage lost

Dear Turkish Airline,

I recently travelled to Haiti from Karachi (24 April 2019), via Istanbul(flight# TK709), havana (flight# TK183), which arrived (25/04/2019) around 8:15 AM at Havana, I took Sunrise Air from Havana to Port Au prince. My luggage, which was supposed to be checked all the way through to my final destination, baggage tag No. (TK359561) has apparently been completely miss-placed and I need to know if it arrived in Havana?. I find it completely unprofessional how in our world today with the security and technology available to you as a large airline can completely miss-place baggage. I have certain items inside which are completely irreplaceable. I hope that the bag will be located and sent back but should it never turn up and be reported missing indefinitely. Turkish Airlines unethical behavior open ticket no. 235 237 65 61 946

Dear representative,
April 18, 2019,

I booked a round trip flight from houston to new delhi, from april 9 to april 25, from turkish airlines. For this flight I paid $784.33 with charge to my american express card.

Due to a family emergency I had to postpone my trip on april 7, two days before my departure date, I call american express to cancel my flight and the service representative connected me directly to turkish airlines. The outcome of this phone conference is that I was given an open ticket no. 235 237 65 61 946 to new delhi. I was explained that I was going to be penalized at the time of reissuing my ticket and pay the difference.

On april 16, I called turkish airlines to book again my ticket to india from april 26 to may 14 and provided the open ticket number given to me and pay the difference to book my flight. Nick, the turkish airlines representative, and i, exchanged information and I even provided my american express info to pay for this flight. At the end I was told that I had to pay for the whole ticket because I was a "no show" which was not the case and he didn't want to honor my open ticket. I refused to pay for the whole amount. I requested to talk to his supervisor and he refused to let me do it. I explained to him that I had the policy displayed on my computer screen in front of me. As per turkish airlines policy:

Reissue refund / cancellation baggage allowance miles to be earned for miles&smiles members
With 135 usd penalty
With 405 usd penalty - (in the case of a no-show)

I would like to have your assistance to resolve this issue with turkish airlines if possible.

Turkish Airlines bad behaviour of the ticket counter staff and manager

We are travelling on Turkish flight TK2511 from Bodrum to Istanbul on 16th April 2019. Our check-in luggage weight was exceeding limit by 4 kgs. We requested the counter team to kindly accommodate since we didn't have any hand luggage.

However, the check-in team didn't agree for the same. Therefore we removed some of the stuff from the luggage to make it in-line with the prescribed norms.

However, what was quite disturbing was the rude behaviour of the check-in team including the manager. The name of the team members are enclosed in snap.

Request you to ensure that your team has professional behaviour. It was very unpleasing to deal with your team in Bodrum airport.

1. Rude.
"Rude" is personal, non proved prescription (impression) in 99 % of cases related to the service of air passengers everywhere. In practice, only ugly judges, when they have no arguments, use word "rude".

2. Rule sof the transportation of baggage.
The Turkish Airlines show the weight in KG for checked bagage and uncheked baggage in the e-ticket and/ or the massage, which comes alomg with the e-ticket

may not be combined.

Turkish Airlines boarding denial

On 12th of April I was denied to board on TK4626 from new Istanbul airport gate B12 I arrived early and the airline employee kept me waiting for 90 minutes to get my boarding, as advised from Totonto Turkish airlines check in desk, until boarding started! Then he denies me to board because my flight was supposed to. be operated by Egypt air and they changed their schedule! and ask me to go to the information desk almost 20 minutes walking from the gate! I went and kept waiting with no clear answers for another 20 minutes and I was shouted at from one of the employees when I complained about being mistreated! They said it is Egypt air mistake and they blamed me for booking with them! Although my ticket was issued from Turkish airlines site and I didn't book on Egypt air! They asked me to go to transfer desk who refused to help too! Then after figuring out what my flight was! Which I was not informed about before! The flight was already leaving! Unfortunately I fainted due to all the stress and after a 10 hour flight arrived from Toronto and walking fir hours in the new Istanbul airport!
I was told to go get a visa, look for my luggage at the lost and found and book a new ticket!
I kept trying asked for help from the Turkish airlines desk until finally the only professional employee booked me a place for next day! To arrive in Cairo with my luggage missing and no idea where it is until now!
I want a full refund for my two way ticket! I will never fly on this airways ever again!

Turkish Airlines flight cancellation without consent

I planned and bought this trip long in advance back in January 3rd 2019 (Confirmed tickets TK (Turkish Airlines): TYT2SK) for Doha to Istanbul on Apr 3rd and 2 days stopover in Istanbul and onwards to Birmingham, UK on Apr 5th. Just 21 days before our scheduled departure to Istanbul, I received a text message through my travel agent that our flight to Birmingham got cancelled for Apr 5th and automatically we are reserved for a day earlier flight to Birmingham on Apr 4th. This totally devastated my plans as we planned 2 days visit in Istanbul and I couldn't afford to cut it short to 1 day and also we had to reach to an important family gathering on Apr 5th in Birmingham, UK. I immediately contacted my travel agent as to how this can happen without my consent as I had paid for the tickets well in advance for Apr 5th departure to Birmingham and I cannot go 1 day earlier. After going back and forth with my travel agent, he informed me that Birmingham flight for Apr 5th got cancelled so Turkish Airlines scheduled us for Apr 4th instead without even asking us. Anyways, since I had to reach Birmingham in any case on Apr 5th, I agreed to take the London flight on Apr 5th from Istanbul and booked a private taxi in advance to take us to Birmingham right away by road soonest we arrive in London as I had to arrive to an important family gathering. I have attached Taxi confirmation email (paid 152 British Pound Sterling by credit card), also credit card statement attached. This caused big inconvenience for me especially at the last moment. I am the kind of person who plan well in advance to avoid any last minute surprises. I can understand this flight cancellation could happen due to some genuine reason but being Turkish Airlines customer, I expect some kind of compensation for causing this inconvenience and reason for stress on the last minute. Though I expect the maximum compensation for this inconvenience but the least I would expect is the reimbursement of 152 British Pound sterling for the taxi fare I paid from London Heathrow to Birmingham. I would appreciate a prompt and positive response and in case of no response, I reserve my right to take up this matter to social media and raise my concerns. Mahmood +974-[protected]

Turkish Airlines delayed luggage

First let me congratulate on the airport in Istanbul. Very impressed.
However I have an issue with my small case that did not make the interconnection EDI-IST then IST-EBL on 12th April
My case is relatively small weighing in at only 10kg. As a business class pax I could have taken this on board and in retrospect should have done so.
I had a 6 hour layover in Istanbul so there is absolutely no excuse for my baggage not being transferred to the Erbil flight but it wasn't.
It did eventually arrive Erbil 36 hours later.
At that time I received a notification of its arrival and that I should collect.
Why was a service not offered to deliver to me. I would have though that the extra monies paid for business class would allow for this to minimise inconvenience to me and the use of resources to revisit the airport.
I leave the level of compensation to you to decide but expect much better service in the future.

Turkish Airlines mistreating customer in the lounge

14th April 7:10 AM in front of gate(elevator) of Turkish airline lounge next to the Gyvenche duty free shop

I was stopped by a man in the desk saying 'you are not allowed to enter here, this is only for disabled person' and shouted to me to go away to the corner over the duty free shop
It was very offensive the way he treated me in front of other people,
1. there was no sign of disable or baby in the gate
2. other people came in to the door
3. he could have explained me in nice way instead of yelling in front of other people

I visited again the gate to talk to him, he was gone
I want sincere apologies from him

my family have flight from egypt to japan through turkish airlines because of delay of firist trip they cannot get the other trip my wife and 2 childern have to stay 24 hours in chair and other nationality getting ahotel room

Turkish Airlines Poor ignorant unprofessional

I used Turkish airlines for my travel. Our connecting flight was missed due to delay with security check. The airport and ALL THE EMPLOYEES are so wrong and so UNPROFESSIONAL and couldn't even guide us on anything and where to go. I and my wife had to argue to get the tickets and it took us more then 1 hour to find the desk to help us out.

Still they made us wait 1 hour in line and then they said you can go to the lounge. We went upstairs and they told us to get permission from CARE POINT DESK.

Again it took 45 mins to find another desk. Then at the desk lady SCREAMED AND SAID go to the lounge.

FYI, I am a CEO of my Compang. There is no lack of service ever seen for 20 plus employees. They all do not know and do not care to help. Teach your employees some ENGLISH so communication can get better.

I will be filing a legal action for the damages done with my time and Essesne of services you could have provided but chose not to. This is beyond unprofessional from EVERYONE. No body gives a [censored] about their work here. All of them on smartphones.

Turkish Airlines Entertainment system not working throughout the flight

Hello,
This is in reference to my recent flight TK0585 from Dakar to Istanbul on 27th March Seat 06D.
Entertainment system was not working throughout the flight. Your crew including captain tried to reboot the system but it didn't work. It was so long flight and that too boring without entertainment
I requested them to either make the entertainment system operational or shift me to business class. But, unfortunately they could not repair the system and refused to shift me to business class.
I was very disappointed with the same and felt very stressed during the whole journey. I have decided not to fly with turkish airline in future as you don't care about passengers comfort. Good bye turkish 👎👎😡😡😡

Turkish Airlines refund for the second leg

I have an international ticket with a refund policy, which allows refunds and cancellation with a $345 penalty. After flying the first leg, I wanted to cancel the second leg. The call center told me they won't refund anything since, according to their calculations, the first leg is more expensive than the round trip I paid (they only refund tax portion, which is only $25. Had I known this earlier, I would not have purchased this ticket in the first place. I purchased it because it has a refund policy. Sorry Turkish airlines but this is cheating.

Turkish Airlines flight forgot flight to fuel up

Flight TK97 from Jeddah to instanbu delayed because they forgot to fuel up. More than 1 hour late departure, I repeat, because they forgot to fuel up. How is that possible?
So I'm going to miss my connection flight.
I do not even expect a reply or explanation from them. Turkish airlines' reputation is worsening.
I will avoid this airline for my frequent business trips from now on, and will recommend the same to my network. They pretend to be foray class, when in fact they have can't even fuel up on time and risk a tragedy.
I will send as many complaints about that as possible.

Turkish Airlines customer service desk - istanbul

To Whom it May Concern,

On my recent return back from Israel to Melbourne, the first leg of my flight from Tel Aviv to Istanbul was delayed by 1.5 hours. I was told to board the flight regardless and if I was to miss my connecting flight from Istanbul to Singapore, to speak with Turkish Airline support in re-arranging a new flight. When I arrived in Istanbul my connecting flight to Singapore gate had already closed so I proceeded to the Customer Service desk to arrange a new connecting flight home with Turkish Airlines. I was greeted at the desk and immediately told it was my fault that I missed my flight as I should have run straight to the gate (even though it had closed 30 mins ago). I was then asked to take a seat and told my issue would be resolved. 3 hours later I still hadn't gotten any word from the service desk, when I approached them they told me they were working on a flight to Bangkok for me so I sat back down. 2 hours later I still hadn't gotten any news. When I approached the desk I was told that I had a seat on the Bangkok flight and was told to sit back down. A staff change-over occurred and no member of staff relayed my information onto the new staff, even though I was the only customer remaining after 6 hours. An hour before this new flight was boarding they still hadn't produced a ticket for me and I ended up missing this flight to Bangkok. I reproached the desk calmly and was told that I was going to be put on a flight to Singapore in a further 24 hours. I was told that no hotel accomodation was available in the airport and that I wasn't allowed access to the lounge. When I commented that their customer service was poor, they replied saying it wasn't their job to provide customer service and continued to play video games on their phones. I then left the desk after 7 hours of waiting, still without a boarding pass, to find food upstairs past airport security. I returned to the desk some hours later and was finally given a boarding pass to Singapore by a new set of staff. I proceeded to wait at the airport for a total of 29 hours with next to no sleep on airport chairs before finally arriving at Singapore, where I was to switch to Qantas airlines, who swiftly arranged a flight home for me. When I finally arrived home, it was discovered that Turkish Airlines had sent my baggage to Bangkok, which Qantas delivered to me a few days later.

I am completely understanding of the difficulties it can take to arrange flights home for customers, both of my parents are in aviation. However, my complaint lies with the customer service I received from the staff at the Istanbul help desk. It was by far the most horrific service I have ever received. I have never lodged a complaint with any business but I feel it necessary that you know that your staff roll eyes, play games, sit on benches and do next to nothing to aid their customers and claim no responsibility or duty of respect. This experience caused me a lot of distress and inconvenience. I would greatly appreciate a letter of apology and compensation for my flights from Istanbul to Singapore and more for the time lost I could have been at my job as well as having to extend my travel insurance till I arrived home.

I have attached all tickets I can find relating to my flight home both original and delayed flight tickets as well as my baggage claim receipt from qantas.

Turkish Airlines e-visa date validity

I want to get my visa refund or you do me a new one for my Son as due to the new Istanbul Airport me and my son flight got changed to other day. However during this period there was no notification or anything regarding these changes and I did the visa for my son on the arrival date which is 6th April and now they told me you can't use it because it should be valid from the day written in the application. Please refund my money to do a new one or ask your team to do something and change the date of my son evisa to 5th April

My son name is Rakan Nader Zein my application e-visa number is MB2-JMJE, I am American citizen. However we are traveling tomorrow if there is availability to do the e-visa or allow me to use the one available will be better for me it's just a matter of one day different the website I paid from is https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/status/
