I have used TurboTax on and off for several years. I filed, got my acknowledgement emails, received a letter from teh IRS my refund was corrected, that's fine. Filed March 17, accepted in April 6, still no deposit.

Finally went and did further review, my direct deposit number was completely wrong.

The routing number is some bank in Texas, I am in California.

Now that this has been filed and accepted, I have to figure out how to get my correct refund.

The service provides no further assistance but for me to call the IRS directly.

There is no reason why I would have entered completely. different information with a bank I have been with for years.

Also, no assistance on how to see my original filing and what I entered. even thought I know this was not my error. So a misfiling, and lost refund, this is not the service I paid for.

Turbo Tax long term strategy was to get you hooked in and complacent with using their tax service over the last 10 years. Congress originally tasked them with making the tax filing process easy and free, like it should it be, in the mid 2000’s. Turbo tax made a free online tax service but buried it in the Google search algorithms, thanks to paying off Google, and if you did find it, they purposely made it non User friendly. Pushing you to ads that read free tax filing, to their real product… the fix was in from the star as Intuit has spent more than $41 million on lobbying since 1998 with nearly $3.3 million in 2021 and about $3.4 million in 2020, OpenSecrets’ lobbying data shows. Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Elec­tion Commis­sion, a contro­ver­sial decision that reversed century-old campaign finance restric­tions and enabled corpor­a­tions and other outside groups to spend unlim­ited funds on elec­tions. And what that means for the customer is that good intentions like Congress tasking Intuit to do the Job, of making tax filing simple, but they took advantage of it, and did not create a free service but instead monopolized the market and they pay Congress now to not do anything about it, and they pay them a lot of money,

TurboTax or Intuit company has enlisted dozens of “revolving door” lobbyists who previously held government positions, including multiple former members of Congress. They include former Reps. Randy Forbes (R-Va.), Charles Boustany (R-La.) and Albert Wynn (D-Md.), as well as former Sen. Tim Hutchinson (R-Ark.).

The top 2020 beneficiary of individual contributions from Intuit affiliates, which includes donors who have listed Intuit or TurboTax as their employer and their families, was President Joe Biden with more than $146,000 in contributions.

The tax prep company’s corporate PAC, the Intuit Inc. 21st Century Leadership Fund, has given to political groups and candidates on both sides of the aisle. The Intuit corporate PAC’s biggest contributions of 2021 include $15,000 each to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee. The corporate PAC gave another $37,500 to federal candidates in 2021 with $25,000 going to Democrats and $12,500 going to Republicans.

Over the years their customer base has grown exponentially, and you become complacent and think they are they only game in town. Nothing has changed in their product service in terms of holding your hand and walking you thru the easy online “Do it yourself” process. Yet for those who own a home, and want to claim deductions, the deluxe has jumped from $91 to $199 in 5 years. Your filing your own taxes paying more than what you would pay someone to do them for you, who’d be using the same software. I always use the deluxe. I own a home, and I claim deductions. I file Fed and State

TurboTax your not the only game in town, and your just greedy, and it’s gonna cost you. You cut in to peoples tax returns and you suck!

Turbo tax made me pay Virginia state tax, where I don’t live was visiting my daughter when she helped me complete my taxes. I live in California where I did work and paid taxes. But because I put current address my daughters in Virginia I was made to pay state filing taxes. When I noticed it I notified turbo tax within a few minutes and they said to bad. I have used turbo tax in past few years I will no longer use them.

When in fact IRS said via letter dated May 9 2022 that $1600 was due them.

TurboTax charged me for State tax filing service that I didn't use.  I called the customer service and was directed to de-select the service first, then filed a refund request with detailed reason under the customer representative's supervision, but the case was closed without any given reason.  I filed again today and also submit a dispute through my credit card company.  Where else can I complain?  It shouldn't be this hard.  I couldn't find the button letting me select Federal only (used to do it previous years) and paid everything by accident.  I called the next second and talked to the customer service and she can serve as a witness that I didn't use the State filing service at all, not even having a peek at the forms.  It's the system's fraud to mislead and force people to pay for both Federal and State.  Is there any place outside of Turbotax where we can have more legal power to demand Turbox for a refund?  It technically is not a refund.  It is to return the money robbed from me.

I bought Turbotax premier this year on CD, but was not able to get the disc to load. I went on-line and using the license code downloaded it. I was not able to complete the installation so could not actually use it. Did some digging, which was tough to do on the Intuit site, but finally figured out that it was some sort of compatibility issue with Windows 10 Home. A feature within the Windows software called NET, I currently have NET 4.6 but Turbotax uses 4.5.2. The Intuit site was pointing me toward resolving it with Microsoft, but the Microsoft site warned of possible problems if I tried to download the older version. Based on the various independent posts I read, this has been a known problem since at least July of 2021, but it appears that Intuit has not addressed it.

After what was now several days of searching etc, I decided to just do my taxes myself then ask for a refund of my purchase. I have not been able to find anywhere on their site to complaint or ask for my money back. I found one link to connect to an "expert" and typed in the nature of my issue and it brought up a credit card input window so I could pay for the expert advise. That really got me annoyed.

Turbotax has been sending me reminders that I have not filed my taxes, so their system knows I have not actually used their product. How do I request my money back?

I want my refund check I been using turbo tax for years now all of a sudden I've been waiting almost 4 months for my return the even made me flie an imendity form..did that and got it notorized and that was a month ago this is some fraud goin on it should never take longer than 30 days to recieve your return now they don't Wana answer any phone calls I want my 6000 refund now

When I put all my info in Turbo Tax, it said I owed money due to making more money than I guessed I would make for the year to get the tax credit on a medical plan through the Marketplace. I guessed I would make about $20,000. I actually made less than $15,000 so I am still not understanding how I guessed more than what I made. It is obvious that is not the case. I also missed 2 months of work recovering from surgery, 3 weeks in August for Covid, 1 week in November for the flu, and another 2 weeks in December for Covid again. Anyway...I decided to try Tax Act. I put all the same information in there and received a $126 refund. That isn't as much as I am used to because all my kids are grown now and don't count as dependents, even though one of them still lives with me and I still support him with shelter, electricity, water, and food sometimes (when he doesn't buy his own). I don't know what Turbo Tax is doing but this is not what you do when you want to keep customers. Do better!

What good is it to me if I can't find my file that I started but not finished. I've got no shortcut, can't find anything on my computer and why should I have to pay for an online program that I can't seem to connect with. I'm not liking it at all. If I can't have it the way it was I may as well not purchase it again.

The program was purchased from London Drugs Limited Spall Plaza Kelowna 400-1950 Harvey Avenue for $35.99 before taxes. There is a P/N 702454 on the bottom of the activation card. How much more do you need. I do not like saving files to the "Cloud", I do not pay to use the "Cloud" and I don't trust the "Cloud"! No where do I see how to access this account once I've activated it. It seems to be a ripe off to me. Every time I try all I get is a free thing with no access to my files, that should save to my computer and not the "Cloud". What ever happened to "Downloading a Program that you pay for, this is crap! I don't have time in my busy life without trying to track down a program with my files that I need in a hurry. I have to deal with a wife with cancer, a 94 year old mother with dementia and trying to a restore a house that had serious flood damage so that we can return home and still go to work for a living!

I received over $4,000 less than what TurboTax said I would receive for my tax refund. I wasn’t given any good explanation and I entered in all my information in correctly. I filed my taxes on March 22nd. TurboTax said my refund would be 9,617 on the federal and it turned out to be 5,417. We filed everything correctly.

The IRS sent me a letter informing me that my Rebate Credit refund was in error

and my adjusted Refund was $1,310.00. Turbo Tax said it was $4110.00. I called Turbo Tax of this issue, and I sent them a copy of the IRS letter and my tax form as requested.

They informed me that I would need to contract the IRS to correct the problem.

This is unacceptable as I paid for full service including the $50.00 league service fee and get a full max refund.

Therefore, I feel I should get a full refund as I didn't get the service as stated.

Total of 554.98 including tax on 22Feb,2022. But I haven't received any support from TurboTax to file my taxes. However, I file my taxes in march with the help of some professional and received my tax refund from the government.

But these guys are still providing me a new ref no. every time I call them. I am still waiting for my money and they don't have any clue about the refund. Its almost eight weeks waiting to get my refund.

Please help me to fix this.

April 26, 2022 credit karma brought it to my attention that someone filed taxes in my name. And they were waiting on $8,400 i am so pissed off about it. I am on SSi and also disabled so. If i wouldnt have seen what i saw i would be in trouble. God is good i am still paying off cars etc. I would have lost my housing and social security woud have put my benifites on hold until they got to the bottom of it. Me and my family would have been homeless.The person who hasbeen pretending to be for more than 5yrs. Who ever is using my identy. Has really [censored]ed up my credit history. And turno tax says that your identity would be safe.Thats not right. Im going to the newspaper im also going to channel 13 news and let every know thar yor company does fraudulat returns.

I was talked into purchasing deluxe for tax filing of 2021 taxes speaking to agent with him stating being on unemployment in last year he said best to get deluxe with a coupon code for Money off. all this time fees being paid due to my banking acct info listed to where I want my taxes deposit to so I filled out my bank dep information as requested only to be told if my taxes reject & have to paper file I get no refund no agents made me aware of any of this til today nor were they helpful to helping me it isnt fair nothing was honors bye turbo tax & after entering in 0 on my AgI as requested by turbo agent my tax amount change without no given reason this is unfair & unjust I want my complaint filed asap this isn't rite

I filed my taxes through Turbo Tax like I've been doing for years, but this year my refund was short $150.45. I paid my usual fees to Turbo Tax, but now some company called Santa Barbara Tax Products Group deposit the refund, LESS THEIR FEE! Apparently, this is happening to hundreds of people. I did not authorize this company to send my refund and I want my money owed for my federal refund. This is complete fraud and I will never do business with Turbo Tax again.

Turbo Tax has terrible customer services. I will never use them again. They make you pay for the software but could care less is your return actually goes through. I just want a refund! To talk to a specialist it cost another 114 which they recommend? Im not paying 114 on top of the 152 I already payed. I talked to someone who said I won't get a refund because I have already used there service and I don't know how to prepare my taxes.

I filed my 2021 taxes federal and state on 1/26/22 and my state tax return still isn’t available to print. I get the message “these returns aren’t available to print or download yet.” My statement return was accepted and my refund already paid out. So when it says these forms aren’t final that can’t be accurate. I’ve never had this issue before but would love for it to be fixed.

There is a bug just before filing: It keeps asking me to fix "Other parent will claim" in dependent information worksheet "check this entry" then when I check this box it won't save it, and asks me to fix it again, and again, and again, and again. Due to this bug, it won't let me efile, I now have to print and go to the post office.

I tried fixing this in Windows10, Windows7, Max OSX (Safari), and Linux Ubuntu 20.04, its definitely not the browser or the OS.

It is now the day before filing day and there is no phone support.

This bug is so 1980s, it is completely unacceptable in 2022. I paid for convenience, but it is wasting hours of my time

I filed my original 2021 state return with TurboTax and owed the state of Georgia $440. I elected to pay the $440 via direct deposit from my checking account. I then filed an amended return, which the state of Georgia accepted, and my new amount owed the state of Georgia was $235. TurboTax software did not gather payment information when I processed the amended return; however, I was directed to print a document and send it to the state of Georgia which I did. I assumed the $440 direct debit would be replaced by the $235 direct debit. To ensure this was the case, I subsequently followed up with TurboTax via on-line chat. I was never informed that the state of Georgia would debit my checking account for both the $440 and the $235 on 4/18. When I checked my checking account on-line on 4/17, I see that both amounts are scheduled to be withdrawn on 4/18. This is causing me an undue financial hardship.

Turbo tax took almost $200 of my tax refund which was lower than described and has not given it back, I received my refund March 16 and it was way smaller than described by turbo tax and I have had no help from customer service as they usually pretend there is nothing they can do to help. This is concerning in these times as the pandemic has hurt us all in the future me or my family will not be using turbo tax
