Truworths fraud

i have lost a smart card ID apparently somebody found it and open an account at Truworths Mokopane using my ID, my problem is that how can a person use a smart card ID to open an account without the salesman looking at the ID if it is the person correct photo on the ID allow the customer to collect items, after the customer open an account at the store did the store ask the customer to produce the ID or they just gave the customer what he/she want without checking the records on the system, this customer use the address of Polokwane and i have never being in Polokwane. Using SMS or Online application without checking the ID is costing us at the victims of the fraud also a loss to the store please help.

Truworths chatsworth centre is going to the dogs!
Firstly Truworths times day they open at 10h00 . I was at the store at 10h15 and they still not open!
Secondly the service and tone from the employees are pathetic.

Yesterday Friday 15/2/20 I bought a red and white dress.This morning I rinsed this dress as I usually do before I were new clothes. To my surprise the color changed, red tinted all white in the dress. This is a loss to me. I concerned about quality. I don't nee this dress ruined. I need a refund or credit my account

Horrible! Service I ordered items on November the first and expected a delivery only to be told on the 5th that it has been rejected and still haven't received my money back... This is so disgusting I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy there

Good morning
i walked into a Truworths store this morning and i got a bad experience of what retail is i bought a belt and when paying for it the lady refused to go and get me a bigger size, saying that i should go and get it myself, which as a customer i feel is not adequate service as there was nobody else in the Que.

Truworths jeans

I bought a ladies Jean in Trueworths Waterfall mall in rustenburg last month towards month end while I was traveling and we go the right size but the made is too small and I lost a proof of purchase but the product is still in a good condition and it has a price tag on it which it can be sold again, the thing is i went to Trueworths Jubilee Mall and they refused to help me out as I was looking for an exchange for the right product and I was told if I had account with them they would be able to help me but if I don't have it they wouldn't help me at all, so it my money worth a thing to me because it seems I have lost it in other words and I am being treated badly because I bought the wrong size, I only needed to get a right size.

Truworths horrible service truworths randburg square

On the 09 Oct 2019 I bought a dress cash using my bank card at Truworths Creste, it turns out it's not the right size.my friend went to Cresta on Friday the 11 Oct 2019 to do an exchange however there was no fit size, she then requested a refund however she didn't have my bank card as per Truworths refund process.

I then went to Truworths Randburg Square on the 15 Oct 2019(6 days later) and also i didn't find the dress, when I asked for refund the lady at till noticed that the dress was torned on the left hand side of the dress, she asked me about it and I told I didn't even see that it has torned. She then called her supervisor(Hlaulani Nukeri) who checked the dress and asked why the dress has bit of make up on it. I told her that we didn't wear the dress but we did fit it and its possible that we bought it with maker up but we didn't analyze it when we bought it.

The store Supervisor(Hlaulani Nukeri) told me to take the dress back to Cresta as she can't sell it and it will be her stock loss, I refused and said to me Truworths is Truworths it doesn't matter where however she can call Cresta because I'm on lunch and I will not spend more money to go to Cresta.

She then called Cresta Truworths to ask the store manager if they sold a torned dirty dress to any customer on the 09 Oct 2019 as Truworths rule is that the store was suppose to indicate on the slip, and obvious the Cresta store manager refused and said it would have been marked as rejection.

She then came back to me and said she understand the torn part but she will not take the dress because of the make up part. As the lady at till gives me plastic bag I asked to speak to the store manager i was advise she is on training and Hlaulani Nukeri is in charge of the store on her absence. I then requested to speak to the Area Manager regarding my issue.

Hlaulani Nukeri(store Supervisor) said they are not allowed to give customers the Area Manager's name or contact details. I asked her to call the Area Manager as I'm not leaving the store without my refund and she must hurry as I'm on lunch break.

As store Supervisor was making a call, I asked the lady at till what is the process if the dress was the right size and it was worn then the torn part happened within 6 days and it also had the make up part as woman we do put on make up, she said they would have done the refund and there is no need for the customer to wash the dress. Then I asked them what is the difference to my situation and they couldn't answer.

Then the store Supervisor confirmed with arrogance and attitude that she will do the refund and I asked her what was her reason in the first place to waste my time and call Cresta and sending me off without my refund for something that she could have done in the first place. She then gave me an attitude and told me I first claimed its size issue but now the dress its torned with make up.

I asked her to apologize for wasting my time as now it's clear that the was no need for her to make me wait on the store for over an hour. She refused to apologize to the point I was so frustrated then I asked to speak to the store Manager regarding her attitude.

She agreed that she will call her manager as I was waiting she spoke to the store manager for like 10minutes using Shevhenda language which I dont understand. She then gave me the fone when I was complaining about my time been wasted, the Store Manager who didn't say her name told me that the store Supervisor has already told her what happened and she has made the decision to give me the refund.

Then I got more furious and more frustrated because the store manager didn't hear me out first as customer why I wanted to speak to her and she has made her decision without even speaking to me first as customer.

I told her that she is making the situation so worse as her store Supervisor already agreed to the refund but I wanted to talk to her about Hlaulani's attitude towards customers. I told her that she can call me after an hour as I was fuming and she can take my details I left on the refund process and I hang up on her.

Asked the lady at till to give me the Area Manager's name and contact details she said she is afraid as she will get into trouble.

I gave Hlaulani Nukeri so many opportunities to apologize and she refused and continued with her attitude in front her staff and other customers to the point that tbe store security apologize on her behalf and all I wanted from the store manager is someone senior to hear me out as a customer from the bad service I received.

Truworths harassment by the security guard

Yesterday I was harassed by your security guard I was getting in you new store looking for things I may like since I have an account at you store, I was holding a plastic then I passed the security guard at your door he called like saying yey buyala yey yelling and answered asking him do you want to close my plastic then he answered hayi buyalana I continued going in n he yelled hard saying yey I said come here I want to close that plastic what do you think I want from you besides that n he took my plastic n throw it down where he was standing I went in for 2 seconds n decided to go I couldn't even continue to shop by the way I was treated by that guy . I don't know why you put your clothes those detector n those this at you door while you let your guards to treat us like that infact No that's the only truworths that I have been in that do that I was so sad n angry I almost cried the way I was treated I am never going in that store

Truworths clothing return

I wanted to return a white dress. I had almost R2500 worth of new clothing that I wanted to buy, however, after this unfortunate incident I left it at the counter and returned to my vehicle with my white dress that the lady, Mabuni, working at the counter decided not to exchange for me because of a stain. I know its policy not to exchange clothing with stains, but seriously? I will attach 2 photo's of "THE STAIN" and then you can decide if it is worth treating a customer of 25 years like this. I will NEVER, EVER buy anything from this Truworths branch in Lichtenburg ever again and I will not hesitate to tell this to all of my friends to avoid this shop. When you look at the photo, "the stain" is on the left hand side on the V-line. What is was actually was a little bit of blusher the brushed off as I pulled the dress over my head to fit. The mark is so light that it is not even clearly visible to the eye?

Truworths getting sms, s for an account I do not have,

Dear Madam or Sir,

We that is my husband and I have been receiving messages to pay an account.
First my husband, then I phoned and explained that we do not have an account
with you and never had, they started to send me the smsses. I phoned again
apparently this person Letchela must have given them the wrong cell nr.

His or her reference nr is [protected]. Our name is J van Vuuren
and we live in the western cape. I would really appreciate it if you can look
into this matter, this has been going on for 2 months already and we are really
getting fed up getting harrassed for other peoples nonsens.

Truworths sizes

Hi

I bought my wife a set of underwears at your branch in Jubilee Mall on Wednesday the 2nd of October, bras and panties but when I surprised her with them in the evening the bras were fine but she realized the underwears are bigger although the tag is her size, a medium.

I went to exchange them but the stuff told me that they cannot do an exchange and they told me that I can even go complain if I want to.

Is that how you treat your customers? You need to do away with that kind of attitude seriously . A simple no would have been enough.

Truworths customer service and relations

I am really so disappointed in Truworths. Usually they are my first choice of shopping because of the quality products, but their service is totally unacceptable. In the future I will reconsider shopping at them at all. Even online.

Firstly I emailed a complaint on 24 Sep 2019, 12:27 in regards to a online order. This has not been resolved.

Secondly, I was promised that my second online order would be delivered to me by Friday 27 September 2019. I also have proof of this email. Needless to say my order is still not deliver despite my extra charge that the order be delivered to my home address and me insuring that my order be delivered by 27 September as I needed the items by 28 September. The customer service could not resolve my issue and did not even try to assist me.

The second issue have not been resolved despite my order of above R 4 000. Which I will cancel. I won't do business with a company that does not want to assist me. I am very disappointed in the staff, their attitude towards a customer and inability to even try to assist you.

I will not be doing any business with them again and advise the public to reconsider.

I purchased a few items to the value of R2528.00 from Truworths St George's Mall in Cape Town on 14th February 2020 (a leather bag, a long formal/evening dress for a wedding, a wrap to suit the dress and costume jewelry to round off the outfit).

Before the clerk rang up the items, I asked if I could return any if I wasn't happy for whatever reason ( I prefer not to fit in a store) and I was told that would not be a problem.

I was paying via my debit card (in other words cash from my account immediately) hence the question - if a store does not accept returns I don't make any purchase.

The very next week I noticed that the stitching on the leather bag was coming undone and I returned to the store to exchange the bag. I had lost my receipt somehow and the clerk then consulted with the store supervisor.

The supervisor (Aysha I think) said I needed to produce my bank statement as evidence of the transaction. I told her that I did not want a re-fund but rather an exchange as I like the bag.
I also told her that I had the transaction on my mobile banking app which she accepted and the bag was exchanged.

I had a chance to fit the dress over the past weekend but sadly it did not fit and was way too long. I returned to the store this morning and told the security at the store that I needed to make an exchange. He acknowledged and I proceeded to select two other dresses before I went to the counter as before.

The store clerk was very polite but to my horror the same supervisor (Aysha) then decided that she was not going to allow the exchange because I did not have a receipt. When I reminded her about the bag that I had exchanged just a few days before, she insisted that I would not be able to and that I would not be refunded either.

She then made a call to someone else in Truworths ( a guy) who very loudly also insisted that I could not exchange the items I had already paid for. I asked to speak with the man on the other side of the telephone who then also confirmed that Truworths would not exchange or refund the items.

By this time I was beside myself, I told the supervisor that her attitude stinks, that my money was very gladly taken but that Truworths was not ethical enough to exchange the items I no longer wanted. There was no way I was going to allow the ridiculous treatment dished out in the presence of every body else in the queue just because now, the transaction on my mobile app was no longer good enough.

I left the bag with the dress and the wrap (tags all in place) at the counter with this Aysha person who was actually laughing and call me "mad". I took a picture of her and requested a written note from her as evidence to the fact that she was not going to refund me (albeit the fact that Truworths had taken my hard earned money on the very day of purchase without any problem).

So I am going to fight this issue until the very end even if I have to approach the media and social media.

Truworths clearly has no scruples when it comes to clients and their money - I did not buy the items on credit, I paid for the things. Now I wish I wasn't using the bag and that I had already worn the costume jewelry or I would have taken those back as well.

I will NEVER buy from Truworths EVER AGAIN. I want my money back - I will lay a charge of theft against Aysha and Truworths if they do not re-imburse me.

Truworths looking for the same size dresses

I do not want to complain, but I want to thanx an excellent staff member for an extra mile she walked today to find me the correct sizes of a spesific dress. Contance you are an awesome person and an excellent worker. All the effort you put in to help me, was amazing! What a wonderful experience it was and I shall send any person in the future to the Truworths branch at the Dihlabeng Mall. Thank you very very much Constance and stay such a smart person that you are.

Truworths product

I bought a green top and matching green pants. I have worn them both only 3 times. They have faced in colour and now the two greens are two different shades. I am wanting to return them please. I feel like I am dressed in rags when I wear the outfit. I am very disappointed in the quality. I have bought from Truworths for many years and this is the first time that something like this has happed.

Truworths shoes

Good Day

My name is Ms. S Khumalo and I have store card with you, I bought shoes for my sister as a gift at Truworths Southgate Mall -store no 126 bronze liquid tubular [protected]= R525.00 on the 06.09.2019 @10:17:38
UNFORTUNATELY, the shoes are hurting her feet as she wore them for a few hours at work. She tried to return or exchange them but they refused said there supplier will check them but know she received an email from them stating she must come and collect the shoes as there is no problem with them .What I fail to
understand is that if you are not happy about the product you bought at the shop as a client what must one do . Kindly assist with this problem because it is not fare to spend such a lot of money and not be a happy client . Truworths return of a present

I received a gift from my partner, an Uzzi shoe which cost 650. Unfortunately it was a size smaller. On the day of purchase it was raining and the box with the slip was damaged. The following day I took the shoe to return and the manager Shalya was very unhelpful. This girl does not know how to deal with customers. For such a large retail store it's pathetic. She's unprofessional and rude. I had to call head office and ran around like a fool. She needs to be removed and someone who knows the consumer act needs needs to take her position. I've met others in the line who said they had the same problem.

Truworths the service

I walked in the store to make purchase of a headset the service consultant was speaking in Zulu and I could not understand her as she was talking fast and was inpatient to repeat. I then asked her if we can both try to communicate in a business language as she was impatient to repeat her statements she was soo rude we ended up going to edgars to buy the phone. I am soo un impressed with the service when I asked for the managers name and they staff refused they were both not wearing name badges and they both refused to provide their names.

Truworths cellphones

I have been to Truworths store Ngebs Mall Mthatha purchasing a cellphone worth 3400. I was told I will be checked if I qualify and they say I do. They asked for proof of residence or Bank Statement which I brought.

Everything is done I sign and then they say my account has not been paid for 2 months. That is nonsense I never missed payment. I have been overpaying this account for months above required instalments. This store has given me a credit of R13000 for what?

Why give that credit to a bad payer. They can't sell me a phone worth 3400 but I can take clothes of that limit. That is absolutely nonsense.

The way they treat long standing customers is absolute dishonesty. There is no way I continue supporting such unprofessionalism.

Truworths service

I have been shopping at Truworths Constantia in the Western Cape, South Africa, for the last 4/5 years. My details are on the system, my fingerprints are on the system and staff at the beauty products know my by face and name.

Today I visited the store but forgot my bag at home. I wanted to buy a gift for a friend and spoke to the manager / supervisor on duty telling her that I have a picture of my ID, passport, and drivers on my phone can she please let me purchase and she refused to help.

Surely if it was her business, she would not turn away sales! Also, I am a loyal customer shopping there regularly and paying my bills timeously, I expect more as a result of my loyalty.

Truworths should have a more educated, people friendly, petiole serving manager on duty able to use sense and logic and to just be a bit more helpful!

This isn't the first time I've experienced unhelpful service just the first time in complaining. I feel like I should take my business somewhere where I would be more valued!

Disappointed and dissatisfied!

Truworths credit limit

Once again i have received an sms to increase my credit limit to R4150. Once again i never requested the increase. I have this account now for 2 years, have not once failed in paying monthly installments. Why must they keep doing an affordability check, yet i have the account. Just to be told sorry we are not increasing.
Either you give the increase instead me going through the whole humiliation of saying you are declined the increase.
I just do not appreciate the whole experience.
So in future either you give the increase, instead of saying call back in three months time, yet I have an account already.
So please either you increase on your own without sending me the sms messages.
Really degrading experience.

Truworths itc update of my account.. id [protected]

I have opened up an account on the 20 August 2019. Paid R200 before 30th of the same month and settled the account on 13th of September 2019. Please updated my account as is fully settled paid, since last month my acount was not updated at itc even though its fully paid. By opening this account I lost 63 of my credit score. Before this account my credit score was 569 and after opening it dropped to only 506. I had to settle my account with the aim to improve my credit score. Last and this month my account profile was never updated. Please assist by updating as I want to buy something on credit, I can't wait for next month. Please. Thank you.

Truworths cell phone problem

I bought a movie cell phone at springs mall in June the phone worked for a week. Then I went to the close branch south gate mall were they took the phone 3 months past in August I then went back and got the phone but still it's not working what should I do. I want a new cell phone cause I'm currently paying my installments with no phone on my hands

Truworths debit order

Truworths has been debiting me over the years and almost a thousand every month. I have paid over R30 000 for half a year and I feel its fraud. Yes I will find an attorney to look into my books cause truworths has been taking more than I can afford.

It hadn't debited this month because I wants to get double next month to Rob me further. It knows my debit order date and decided not to debit on that date hence the bounce.

I have never taken anything more than 1000, yet I get debited over R800 monthly.
This is not fair and u just and is against the law.

Truworths staff member at till point busy with personal conversion while people queuing up

Staff member at till point was busy with a personal conversion with someone about cellphon contracts an nework changing while people were queuing up at till point. Only one cashier is open at the store, at fitting rooms the attended also instructs you to count your own items an take a number card youself because she is also busy with a private convention with someone else.
