Good day. I filed several complaints at Truworths as I opened an accout, and did not get my Truworths card yet. They keep on saying that a new card will be posted to me. No card yet, and it is not worth complaining at Truworths, every time the same story with no results...

My wife visited the Truworths store in Carletonville today, and got injured. She asked one of the store attendants for assistance on higher shelf clothing. The assistant used a ladder, whilst folding the ladder she dropped it and it fell on my wife's foot. It is swollen and very painful. I will consult the Doctor today as she needs medical attention. No one of the store management offer to help, I am sure that this is not according to Truworths values.

This incident should be attended to immediately

I bought 2 cellphones at Truworths festival mall. few weeks down the line 1 cellphone stopped working. I went back to the shop to explain my problem. The lady - Lebo said Since the cellphone was in venda and we bought it in Kempton park, I have to take it to nearest store in Venda which have cellphones and ask the store assistant towe went to the call her. I sent my uncle there with the phone and he was assisted by Mpho. He took the phone and said he is sending it to MTN and give my uncle a copy of some paper which was filled there.
Few months later Mpho called my uncle and said the phone was rejected by MTN saying the phone was tampered with but to my surprise Mpho assessed the phone before taking it in and didn't note down that the phone have been tampered with. I asked for MTN report he said they didn't send a report. they just rejected it. I have lodged a complaint with Truworths head office they haven't responded and I feel I'm not being treated fairly. There is a time I even went to venda Truworths Thavhani mall where Mpho works but I didn't get any assistance. I spoke to Brian who is store assistant manager he promised the store manager will call me till today nothing. I went there in September.

Hi there. My truworths account is slightly in the reares (only R500 in total) and they have been calling the wrong number from Wednesday (my mother's number) to get payment. They have called 6 times despite that I have asked repeatedly to call my number and that I will happily pay the pathetically tiny amount when I get the chance (it's literally R117!). How can someone be harassed this much for literally R100!

I have been to the Somerset Mall Truworths branch and had an unpleasant experience. I bought a pair of flip flops that was advertised on the shelf for R140. However once I got to the cashier, it said R220. When I questioned it they indicated that the flip flops was not R140 as indicated on the display. I took the cashier and the supervisor to the sign and both indicated that the sign indicated the price of R140. However, the manager then indicated that she cannot give it to me for the price indicated. After various arguments, I asked her whose fault is it that it was wrongly displayed and she agreed it was the store's but she however don't have the authority to give it to me for the price displayed!

For me as a customer of Truworths for more than a decade this was really shocking and unacceptable. However, I didn't want to argue with the manager and also in light of Covid, I wanted to get out of the store as quick as possible hence I just paid everything.

In my opinion, one of the best advertising strategies is by word of mouth and especially from loyal customers. This really leaves sour taste in my mouth and I'm contemplating to close my account at Truworths. I know it's a mere R80 but in my opinion, it's more the principle than the actual value of the item...

I last received my statement in Aug and then today(Nov). In the statement received today they added a 12 months interest of which im on a 6motnhs plan with them, I called, spoke to Sino who said unfortunately they cannot reverse it now as its over 60 days, well had I received my statement in Sep or Oct I would have queried it then, so why blame me for the statement I received in Nov. I had never asked for a 12 months plan on the purchases I made, the last purchase in Sandton, then guy was chatting to his friend hence he did not pay attention when I said 6 months, not I have to bear the interest for an error done by Truworths. I received the statement today and queried today, doesn't that show if I had received it in Sep I would have queried it in Sep. Can this be resolved now before I take it to the media

In 2014 I lost my ID book and I claimed it and made a new ID book someone stole my identity book and opened and account at throworths and took clothes worth R2800, then I went to complain about that and I made an affidavit at police station and went to throworths store they said I should wait for head office to communicate with me until today I haven't recieved their call so today I received a call from dept collector they said I must pay or be blacklisted throworths didn't help me with my case... And I'm said because I'm not even working how did they open an unemployed account?

I was buying a new pair of shoes at pinetown pinecrest with the month end queues it took long to get to a cashier of which that was not an issue for me although I was on lunch but the service I got from zodwa was the worst. I had fitted the shoes and because they were hard to take of I decided to wear them and pay while wearing them, zodwa made me take them off and even after pleading with her, another customer even assisted me in taking the shoes of after that I had to wait for her while she assisted other customers instead of me. Another lady (I did not get her name called her into order and asked me to come so she could assist. I was humiliated by zodwa in-front of the customers and other cashiers.

That lady should not be working at a service industry she does not have a clue on how to render service.

On the 22 October two different purchases were done at Truworths ladies and man stores in Rustenburg using a fake I'd document I received the sms to my amazement however I was in pietermaritzburg so I phoned the call center and lodged a dispute of purchase I tried to open a case of fraud at my local police station I required statements from Truworths which they refuse to release can this matter be resolved asap my I'd no is [protected] my contact number is [protected] if I'm not contacted with the next 48 hrs if Truworths can't be concerned I'm going to close my account and if you look at my purchases I should be a valued customer for the last 10yrs I need this looked at with more urgency

On Saturday 24 October 2020 I visited truworths in East London Hemingway's, got a very bad service there.. Had a letter from my husband to purchase a perfume. The so called manageress treated me so badly didn't even looked at my letter saying that signatures are not the Same I don't think will ever buy from truworths again.. bad experience ever

I have now receive many sms's from Truworths. IOn the sms it says you my phone to opt out. But after 3 time that I phone, they still send me an sms. I would like to find out where did they get my number? I want to know who sold them my number, because I want some of that money, because I pay every month for that number to be on my name. So somebody is making money on my number.

Thruworths STOP sending sms's. People don't have money and don't want credit.

My name is Munene, I have bought 1 item to the amount of R1200 in February, I keep paying my account but for some odd reason Truworths keeps telling that I did nit fulfill their promise, which by the way I did, a lady called me in September to say that my balance is R1200 and we agreed that I will pay R100 immediately and then for the next three months I will pay R300pm, I kept my promise, I have since paid R400 and suprisingly my debt is not going down but up everyday, I need this resolved otherwise I might as well stop payoing completely and you can do whatever you want

My husband purchased 4 dresses for me from Truworths, all maternity. I have only worn each dress about 3-4 times and I've always hand washed these dresses. I have not put them into the washing machine.

Three of the dresses are all perished in the front. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of these garments, especially since they are from Truworths and one would think the Truworths brand is quality above all else.

Now we in arears they didnt want to speak to me she was sitting next to me but cant hear I repeat the question and then she told the lady. Kateyn Sasc. She wont help us we just want to get a statement and the amount to pay in full.

Truworths staff are very unprofessional, they don't greet you when you come into the store and they don't even bother to sanitize anymore. they stare at you while you are shopping as if you will steal something, today I had an experience in your rosebank branch, the customer service was non-existent, the staff stared at me the whole time that made me feel uncomfortable, I don't know if you train your staff to treat your customers like criminals, secondly I went to the uzzi section of the store, saw a nice pair of shoes that I liked and asked the older lady who was working there if they have size 8 and what the return policy is for defective items, she then told me to proceed to the pay point to ask the cashier to assist as she was unable to for whatever reason that's besides the point, as I walk to the till this guy from the fitting room stops me and tells me I can't go to the till with the shoes as if I'm going to run away and steal it🤣🤣🤣 then the older lady had to come in and tell him to let me pass as she said it's fine for me to go to the till as I had some questions before my purchase that I'd like to ask, but the manner in which he looked at me and made me feel like I'm not welcome in your store! I'm disgusted to the core the customer service is not of international standards that you so pride yourself in! This is a perfect example of incompetent staff and a brand that criminalizes it's customers!

I received a dress as a gift from my sister, the size was wrong. I took the slip am tried to return it for Cash at wonderpark Mall. They refused saying the item number are not the same, where will I get another slip? I asked them for a voucher because I can't keep an item that does not fit me but they refused. Your return policy is close to impossible, what should I do with this item now?

Did an online purchase on 29/08/20 order no. o102273224 one of the items a stone coat style no. 7260890 was rejected don't know why when I enquired was told to do a fashion delivery which I did to a nearest store and delivery is free, on the online purchase the price was listed at R290 and when I did a fashion delivery I was charged R390 why is this, I want to be charged the price that I initially saw it for at R290 so please sort this out asap, because from my understanding as a customer I know I'm right and it's a matter of principle that you'll keep to the price that was listed, also sending photo of the coat and price. I'm experiencing financial problems as a result of Covid 19 Pandemic. My family was working for private sectors and during Lockdown all of them became by burden for living. My account with Truworths ended up in arrears. My account was paid through a debit order, at certain stage Truworths deducted + R5000. 00 via debit order without my concern. I reversed the debit order and send an email requesting R500, 00 to be deducted from my bank account they didn't respond to my email instead they harass me through telephone calls, debit order of R500. 00 pm was made which was less from my monthly installment. 1st deduction of R500. 00 was made via debit order as arranged. I received a call after deduction from Truworths collections that the system does not accept amount that was below my installment I told them that it is only amount that I can afford. After that sms was received that I should pay R740, 00 for my account not to be handed over then I paid R240. 00 in store knowing very well that R500, 00 will be deducted as per arrangement. There is no Truworths store to where so I depend to Debit Order also on my email I requested their banking details. Thereafter, no deduction was made and I was called by Blake Lady who told me that my debit order of R500.00 was canceled. I dropped an email requesting reasons of canceling debit order without my concern up until now I never received that information instead they told me that they receive an error message when trying to make deductions that debit order was not allowed [though I was never informed of the problem they encountered] I requested them to provide the print screen, no print screen was provided until now. Instead Tania from Blake's is responding on their behalf. I told Tania that Blake is a 3rd party in this matter I'm still waiting for Truworths to respond to my communication since there is a dispute cause I wanted to know who will incur legal/administration costs of Blake after Truworths decided to cancel my debit order.

I used to be a loyal customer to Truworths but after this incident I will never deal with company that add problems on top of those I have I rather buy from Chinese shop where I will be treated with dignity than being harrased by Truworths.

Response I expecting from Truworths should cover the following:-
1. Reasons for cancelation of debit order without my concern.
2. Why I was not contacted when there is a problem with debit order arranged.
3. Who will incur legal/Admin costs of Blakes.

Please provide proof on your response.
Lastly, I requested that we should communinicate via email for record purposes.
