TruGreen Ineffective service

On august 18, 2020 a new technician arrived to provide herbicide treatment. I walked the entire yard showing him where the problem areas were. Predominately sedge and spurge. (on my initial treatment in june, the young man sprayed and within 5-7 days the weeds were completely dead.). After waiting almost 2 full weeks I noticed that not only were the original weeds thriving, but I had a whole new crop of weeds to contend with. I called the 800 number and had to wait almost 20 minutes but the lady I spoke with listened and then suggested that they send out the technician that completed the first treatment. I agreed and the treatment was scheduled for 3 or 4 days later. On the morning of the followup treatment I received a email and it stated that the technician would be by between 8-12 noon, and that the technician scheduled was the one that did a poor job. I called again and finally had them cancel the service, requesting that they reschedule and reassign the original technician. They agreed to do this. After waiting several days I had not heard from them so I called again, and was told the service was scheduled for the following week (same week as my next regular service) and that the technician assigned was the one who didn't get it right. I had previously requested 2 times to have a district manager call me - without hearing from anyone so I made the request again.

Almost 48 hours later a manager called me that was difficult to understand. I was trying to tell him the problems but he continually interrupted me... To the point I lost my temper and said a lot of ugly things to him. The result of dealing with this one problem for weeks on end... And making countless calls.

Steer clear of trugreen...

TruGreen Over seeding with the wrong seeds for over a year!

We were with Tru Green for over a year. I started to notice the different colors
in my lawn, As well as the weeds that started to sprout up. They would usually come while I was at work. I would call and complain about light spots, and weeds. they would come out to spray and seed, treat etc. One day I was off work, They were there treating, So I asked what they had been putting down, Because it wasn't working. That's when they informed me they had been using Fescue seeds, Even aerated my lawn and over seeded in January.
That's when I told them I have Bermuda grass and not Fescue. So they have been putting fescue seeds down for an entire year, Now it looks like I have two
types of grass grown. Every time I would complain, they would only send some one out to just put more Fescue seeds out, And say that I have crabgrass. Which I didn't have before, Now my entire lawn needs replaced!

TruGreen Billing for a service I prepaid for annually.

I have had Trugreen since 2013. my account #[protected]. since 2016 I have prepaid for yard services. The Statement for the service shows that I will receive 5 yard treatments and 1 sulfur treatment. The total of the costs for the services is listed on the statement.
Unfortunately I was later billed for the sulfur treatment which I had prepaid.
This year I realized that I had previously paid for the sulfur treatment and was being charged again. So this year I finally realized I have been overcharged for the years 2014 thru 2019. charge for [protected]@$54.87, [protected]@$54.87, [protected]@$55.96, [protected]@$58.75, [protected]@$55.96, [protected]@$57.63,
This totals $338.04 plus$27.78 for sales tax.
I had called I believe in the year 2014 and said I thought I had prepaid this amount and was told I had not. So very stupidly I went ahead and paid the additional cost for sulfur treatment. So this year I realized I have been taken. I am being billed a total of $62.38. I have made 3 phone calls concerning this charged and keep being told I have not prepaid amount. I have the documents showing this for all of the above years.
I have asked for a manager to call me and I am waiting for this call.

TruGreen Spraying herbicide

I have four trees that are now dead on my front lawn, last year they were fine. I actually just planted two of them last year. They are all different kinds. I had an arborist come and take a look at them and he said that they were killed by a herbicide. True green is the only one putting herbice on my lawn. I have tried to get in touch with someone to see what can be done about the problem but the switchboard person just tells me someone will get back to me.

TruGreen Contract fulfillment

I prepaid in Dec. 2019 for six applications. The first was suppose to occur the week of 5/18/2020. then I was scheduled for the week of 5/26/2020 now I'm scheduled for 6/8/2020. The first application is time sensitive, thus will not have any impact, now.

Besides my neighbor has received three (3) application services from this same company already in 2020.

TruGreen Neighbors trugreen service crew damaged my property

My neighbor has Trugreen service and the treatment that they provided over sprayed my property 6-10 feet. The are completely wiped out my Tall Fescue lawn along the adjoining property line. See attached photos taken today.
I have contacted Brian at the local branch in Greenville, SC and we discussed possible outcomes to make repairs. I have tried on several occasions to again contact him with no response.
I have tried to be pleasant regarding this matter and seek damage relief. My neighbors yard is centipede and over the years he tried to grow fescue as well. When Trugreen got his contract they came and tried to wipe out the fescue and in doing so sprayed into my yard damaging my newly seeded yard grass.

TruGreen Yard care

TruGreen is horrible... you cannot speak to a direct person in Chattanooga and Judy does not help, just patronizes you. We have Bermuda grass on about a quarter acre with weeds EVERYWHERE in the dead of winter. In good faith we have tried them for over a year and they don't care. How can their techs be here 3 to 4 minutes and get a yard my size covered. OH and it doesn't matter who the tech is... they are in a huge rush. We plan to cancel our service and will post in our neighborhood website NOT TO USE TRUGREEN. GOOD LUCK trying to get through the companies structure and barriers to connect with LOCAL support. This only letting me send two pics...

TruGreen unethical behaviour

I prepaid for my service then get a bill from collections 6 months later stating I owe more. The bill does not have a number to call to dispute. I called the customer service 3 times and the manager jason #23265 was extremely unhelpful. He told me the collection agency was simply a division of trugreen, but would not even try to provide a number to direct me to a person who could.

The collection company is called system.

Extremely unethical and what a horrible way to treat customers.

TruGreen general service

This is such a scam, they did 6 applications so far with no progress at all, I keep asking to meet the service rep when they come in for several times that was requested and they never confirmed an appointment, they just keep showing up while we're not present.
After several complaints, they asked to do a free application to make it up and after they did I was still charged for it.

Requested to cancel this scam service, they started to speak very rude and didn't accept to refund the charge for the free application and didn't send any confirmation for my cancel request.

I need a full refund for all charges been deducted from my card for 6 months now.

TruGreen keep coming when told not to

Company automatically renews service and ignores customer request to stop service! Their product is a waste of money and does nothing for the lawn and costs 4x what is available in the lawn center of Walmart.
The when you don't pay them they send your bill for service never requested to a collections agency within 90 days. Awful customer service and will not waive the charges. Further on they bug the hellnout of you for the money!

TruGreen billing and service without consent or contract

Called and phoned Trugreen to stop services. Never signed contract. Still the company came for initial service. Lawn has suffered over past few years. Many bills. Called Trugreen and they asked me to pay half. Told them I was no longer a client and no contract initiated this past Spring. Now they are about to ruin my credit with collection agency Transworld Systems. Have been a consistent customer for YEARS! Never again.

I signed a written contract for under 400.00 for lawn service service. Each application of weed solution to be applied was to be approximately 59.00. To stay current I paid my statement of 59.00 but Iwas charged 119.00 dollars for services that I didn't authorize. When walking to customer service they told me that they were going by the contract that I authorized in 2018. I told them that I didn't authorize the additional application. They did not offer any repayment of the money they charge to my charge card.
Since I am a Vietnam Veteran with exstreamly complex health issues, l choose not to stress myself out because of the deceit that TRUE GREEN is conducting. I live Hazelfarm living Community in Dover Delaware

TruGreen my bill

My bill - I told Trugreen associate that I was making a $100 payment and she said it was okay. I made the payment online and later found out that they fraudulently took out the entire bill which has caused my account to explode. They are scammers, they will constantly call you to get your services - I cancelled them one time before but went back again - this is it! When a company acts fraudulently, after I spoke with an associate are criminal!

I have had to have my bank listed them as fraudulent, I am going to the BBB and I cannot say enough that this company is fraudulent and stay away from this company. My lawn never changed from the way it was!

TruGreen yard service

I started with TruGreen and my first initial treatment was on time and fine. My second scheduled treatment day they cancelled 10 minutes before 6pm. I called and they rescheduled for a week later! On that day, they didn't show up again! I complained! They offered me me 50% off. They did not show up on rescheduled day again! They gave me free service and finally showed up. On my 3rd scheduled service, they didn't show up and rescheduled again! Offered me 25% off. On the rescheduled day at 4pm they said tech

couldn't come out! This is only third service, by the way, they offered me 25% off. They reschedule for 2 days later on Friday. They cancelled again! I called and they offered me 50% off. I said I was cancelling and they offered me 50%!off 2 services. I just said no and cancelled all together!
To stressful do deal with this terrible company!
Don't use them!

TruGreen lawn spraying

My neighbors had spraying done by TruGreen and I approached the spray tech to ask about the chemicals in their product, he asked if I had any neurological issues, I told him I have MS and was concerned about the wind blowing in to my house that I could smell it thru out. I asked for any info./hand outs and he refused. I had a head ache for a day afterwards. How can they spray poison, and not be willing to give an material data sheet, when asked?, and wouldn't show me any certificate, or even a license. I asked him If he refused me information, based on the fact that I told him I had MS, and he said, yes., I feel like my rights as a disabled person were violated,

TruGreen billing

Called and spoke to two different TruGreen employees who said it would be $40 for a tick treatment for the lawn. The next day my credit card had been billed for $350. I called and they said i ordered a full year lawn treatment. Which was definitely a lie. The guy kept trying to sell me on it and i kept resisting. Then they told me the $40 tick treatment was a misquote even though two other employees said that was the cost. The new price was $80. I told them forget everything and just refund my bill. Has been over a week now and they have not refunded anything.

They have provided no service, and won't give me a refund.

Stay away from TruGreen.

TruGreen customer service, billing, charging me when I said to hold off with the service.

My spouse and I had opted to prepay for a season of Trugreen's service when we first moved into our home. After the first season we were unsure if we wanted to continue with their service. We randomly got a bill in the mail from them after our "prepaid season" had been complete. They wanted us to pay 50 something dollars for a service they had done. Trugreen called and I informed them that I would pay the 50 dollar balance, but needed to talk to my spouse before we continued on.
After the phone call they came out 3 MORE times to do a mosquito treatment.
They now want us to pay 200 plus dollars because they continued a treatment that I DIDN'T ASK FOR!
Their management team has not resolved the issue. The regional GM wanted to split the difference instead of admitting they had made a mistake.
They will hound you on the phone stating that it is a service that will be continued no matter what, unless you call them to cancel.
Their customer service reps are terribly rude and will talk over you continually and will not listen to what you are trying to tell them. I have had them tell me they "had no notes on the account" when I had asked to talk to a manager previously.
Kasey employee number 41691 was one of the reps that would continue to talk over me when I was trying to ask questions or explain things.
All in all, the customer service is absolute trash. The management team does not care about you "the customer" and will continue to hound you and twist everything to where it is the customer's fault.
If i could give zero stars I would.
There are plenty of other lawn treatment companies that will treat you, the customer, as you should be treated.

TruGreen lawn service

Last Winter, I signed a contract with True Green for weed killing, fertilizing and grass seeding my lawn with $573.60. I was guaranteed that in Spring there will be no weeds. However, from the beginning of Spring this year, my lawn is full of same weeds as before. I callled True Green at 865-970-3835 and described the whole thing to them. They said that for no weeds I need to have weed killer treatment for the whole year. Otherwise, they will take no responsibility.
It seems to be a breach of trust. They are not willing to refund any money. True Green seems to be a fraud company and can not be trusted.

TruGreen staff and management

I witnessed a Tru Green employee, Dan Buck, drive a large aerating-type machine along my sidewalk. As the machine was too wide to fit, it was crushing the landscaping bricks, which were set on-pointe along the sidewalk.

I spoke with the two other employees on site, who confirmed that they saw him breaking the bricks, and heard the popping sounds as they were breaking.
I called his attention to the damage, he apologized and said that he was meeting with his boss, Allen, tomorrow and that one of them would be in touch with me soon. He took my address, phone number, and photos of the broken bricks, which we counted together. The total was 10. He said, "I will definitely fix them for you."

They were his last words to me.

Not hearing from him, I called six times over the next month, was passed to several departments, and given several different numbers to call, always repeating the story and given the assurance that someone would definitely call me back.

No one ever did until I threatened to report it to the BBB. Then the manager called within an hour to state that they have no responsibility for any damage and that an unidentified neighbor had said that Dan didn't break any bricks.

The neighbors for whom Tru Green was working deny exonerating the landscaper, as they were not even home at the time.

I tried to file a formal complaint against them with the BBB, but they are unwilling to accept any complaints against those who have paid for a good rating.

Innocent consumers need to be warned by others who have suffered at the hands of Tru Green's less-than -honorable business practices.

Can you imagine what a mess they will make of your property? Don't hire them or you will be sorry.

TruGreen condition of lawn

On 4/8/17, I paid TruGreen $378.31 for lawn care for the upcoming summer. (Fertilization and weed control.)They were able to control the weeds, although I had to call them for repeat applications a couple of times. There were thin patches in the lawn, so at the end of the summer, I had all the trees trimmed to allow more light to reach the lawn, I had the whole yard aerated, and I had the front yard dethatched.
On 11/5/17, I paid TruGreen $431.64 for lawn care for the summer of 2018.
This summer, the thin patches in the lawn have grown in size and become more numerous. I admit I did not water regularly, but neither did my neighbor, whose lawn is doing much better than mine, as you can see in one of the photos. He has bioLawn.
Every time they serviced my yard, TruGreen would put a note on my door. On every note, they said they knocked on the door. There was never, ever a knock. On one occasion, I was on the back porch overlooking the back yard, or cleaning blinds in a rear-facing bedroom during the time of service. I never saw a person in the back yard. From that experience, and from the look of my lawn, I am tempted to think that they came to my house, put a note on my door and a sign in my yard, and drove away without spraying the yard. That would be fraud. No, wait. Weeki Wachee homeowner Rich K. checked his home surveillance video and found that exact thing had happened to him.
At this point, I don't know how TruGreen can remedy this situation. At the very least, I think a refund is in order. I paid over $800 for these very dismal results. I do not think that is acceptable.

On 11/5/17, I paid TruGreen $431.64 for the following summer's lawn care. Over the course of this last summer, the lawn continued to get worse and the bare patches not only increased, but also grew in size. Every time TruGreen comes to treat my yard, they put a note on the front door. Every time it says "I knocked on your door." THERE WAS NEVER A KNOCK. Once it said it was too early to knock. It was 10:42 AM!
One day when they said they serviced my yard, I had been on the back porch overlooking the back yard, or cleaning blinds on windows on the back of the house, and I never saw a person in the back yard. When I complained about that, they said they would send someone back out. The door tag said they came at 7:19. This time it was too early. I was asleep. From the appearance of my lawn, I am tempted to think that they arrive, put the tag on the door, put the sign in the front yard, and drive away without treating it. But that would be FRAUD. No, Wait.

TruGreen lawn care

I have documented my Lawn Service with Trugreen since signing on with them in the Spring May 2018. They promised a healthy green and weed free lawn with their techs providing regular maintenance. In July and August I mentioned they needed to retreat for Weeds and for fungus growth. They came and treated the lawn and sometime in August I brought to their attention again about the weeds and also noticing some small yellow spots on the lawn. I asked them to do a soil analysis. I don't know it they ever did this but the yellow spots starting getting bigger and also bare patches were starting to show. I have ASKed to speak with a manager and was told someone would get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. Instead of a manager another technician was sent to look at the lawn and also agreed that the lawn looked bad. I already know the lawn looks bad; I want a MANAGER to come and assess this lawn. I called again on 9/17 and spoke with Robin who said she would have a manager call very soon. In total I have called on 9/10, 13, 17, 24 and today 10/1 And Still I have not heard from Anyone of Authority at Trugreen. What exactly is needed to get these people to call?! I am ready to file a complaint with the BBB and my attorney but would rather get a refund for the money I paid

Yrue green is NOT a good company. They kept coming after i cancekked due ti my lawn and mosquitoes not being taken care of. Needless ti say i did not pay and they still came. Annoting and did my lawn harm
