Trip.com I have been waiting for 2 years for a flight refund

The travel agent has ownership of it, and therefore I recommend you contact your travel agent directly so that they can inform you further.

Trip.com Cheated off of my money

I made a booking with trip.com for a flight for two weeks ago. Unfortunately due to a covid policy I was not allowed to board my flight. I immediately contacted Qatar airways who directed me back to Trip.com. I stayed on the phone with them for an hour and they finally told me that they would refund my flight but would deduct some taxes and service days. They asked me to confirm the refund amount on their site to process it and confirmed that they have processed my refund.I was informed that I would be refunded within 7 days. It's been 2 weeks and no refund do I contacted them again then suddenly they made me begin a new refund request and now I'm told that I won't be refund. I will only be given 47$ for tax and asked to confirm this...WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL? Noone is giving direct answers and communication is a nightmare. Why is my money being cheated? I read their policies co-vid and it stated that I qualify for a refund. There is a big difference between the two amounts offered.

Desired outcome: My refund as discussed many times over. My refund minus taxes

Trip.com flights

We booked a flight itinerary with you for December 19. The flight had three connections (Atlanta-New York, New York-Paris, and Paris-Madrid). The first flight to New York was canceled, we were not offered an alternative flight and as a consequence, we lost the other two flights. We had to buy another flight the same day 3 times more expensive for five people and still, no one has compensated us for all the expenses
.Who pays the costs for the damages?
I attached the two itineraries of our purchase

Trip.com Trip.com mis-sells Ryanair flights via Dublin on SkyScanner.net

On 28 November I bought a round trip from Edinburgh to Frankfurt via Dublin, flying out on 2 December and back on 7 December 2021.

I found the trip on SkyScanner. It was sold by Trip.com (booking no. [protected]) and all flights were provided by Ryanair (flights FR381 and FR383 out; FR381, FR816 return).

The connection time at Dublin was 55 minutes. There was a warning that this is short but, at the time of booking, 55 minutes appear to me adequate to arrive at one gate and leave from an adjacent gate with the same airline.

The sellers failed to take into account, and I did not know until I got there, that transit at Dublin is not allowed! Trip.com should know this and plan for flight connection at Dublin to take at least 90 minutes.

On the outgoing trip I made the connection by the skin of my teeth, even though the incoming flight was slightly early. I had to sprint the length of Terminal 1, pass through customs and immigration, then turn around, come back through the security check, and sprint the full length of the terminal again. There were no delays at all, but the gate was closed when I arrived. Ryanair was kind enough to let me on anyway.

I did not want to risk being stranded at Dublin on the way back, so I asked Trip.com to rebook that journey by another route. The answer was an email saying they hoped to help me within 72 hours, which was too long, so I rebooked the trip myself on Air France and EasyJet via Paris, giving myself 2 hours for the transit. That worked well.

I should never have been offered the trip from Edinburgh to Frankfurt via Dublin as a viable route. This is mis-selling by Trip.com, so I hold them responsible. I have asked for a refund, in the sum of £63.80 for the unusable return flight, comprising half of the flight costs £27.40, plus £36.40 paid to Ryanair for cabin bags on the unused return leg.

Trip.com has so far declined to accept responsibility, saying that Ryanair does not provide for cancellation. But I did not cancel willingly! I travelled that day but was obliged to take another route due to no fault on my part. The flight I booked to replace it cost about £200, so that would be suitable compensation. Had I known that a reasonable route would cost £400 both ways I would not have made the trip at all!

Trip.com bought the four flights from Ryanair under separate booking numbers (out UFUQJX, G68S7S; return R9VTTM, E5J5UI) so it is understandable that Ryanair does not feel responsible for (or even knew about) the connection. However, Ryanair could do more to make purchasers aware that connection in Dublin is not possible in under 90 minutes and spot separate bookings that appear to imply a connection (same customer flying out shortly after arrival).

SkyScanner regards Trip.com as a partner so does not take responsibility, but I think they might do more to vet partners' offerings and terminate the partnership in cases of mis-selling through SkyScanner.

Desired outcome: Apology, refund, and compensation in the sum of £200.

Trip.com Flights Mann - Booking [protected]

I booked a flight and 24 hours later had to cancel,
they are saying it was 25.22 hours and only offered me 6.80USD refund
I tried to change the booking and they wanted more than the flight cost to change the booking.
They have given me no proof and I have spoken to every Customer Service operative, I want the proof so I can check it against my search history as I now do not believe a word they say.
Bad customer Service record and I want to change my booking or a full refund.

Trip.com Service - unethical refund policies

My flight was canceled by Singapore airlines and the airline is still unable to fly to the desired route. Refer to booking no : [protected]/ E-ticket No.: 618-[protected]. I tried to get a full refund but the app shows a cancellation fee which is highly unfair as I didn't cancel. The airline canceled on me. I need to return to China and have found an airline able to take me. Now I need a full refund because you cannot hold my money if you are unable to deliver on your promises to passengers. As a Consumer I have rights and trip.com along with Singapore airlines are violating my rights. The airline cannot advise when there will be flights to china from South Africa so they need to give my money back. Cancellation policies do not apply during COVID circumstances and I do not want a travel voucher as I will not be travelling in a very long time, going to China is the only exception. I need my money at the soonest as I am currently unemployed.

I will be taking action based on your response as I know that this is not a fair policy. There are regulation bodies I can seek help from. Emirates canceled my trip due to Covid 19 and I received a full refund, I expect the same standard from all airlines as it is only fair !

When I contacted singapore airlines I was adviced to contact trip.com and Trip.com says that they can only act in accordance with Singapore Airline refund policy. I have read the policy and it states that passengers who booked before the 15 March with a ticket no start with 618 are elligable for a full refund, I booked on the 19 March so why am I not elligable.

I want Trip.com and Singapore Airlines to resolve my complaint together and not give me the run around. Messing customers around sends the wrong message and reflects badly on the airline and trip.com.

Trip.com Booked a room, got confirmation and no-hotel room

My wife booked a two stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Orange Beach Alabama for this Memorial Day weekend. I called the hotel and no booking, nothing found. I called their toll free Chinese call center and they kept putting me on hold for 30 minutes. Finally I spoke to Andy then Neal. He was trying to find another property to stay. He said he was calling back this morning May 20th at 9:00am. No call back, I called nine times and nobody knows what is going on. They are horrible to understand and want to get out of the reservation after I paid them $621.00. Do not do business with Trip.com they are not customer service oriented. All of their reviews indicate that it takes 59 days to get your money back. This is a big mess. Hope you have time to read this. Thanks

Trip.com App booking

My recommendation: Dont use Trip / C-Trip
I was under pressure to find a hotel in HKG before getting on a plane.
Found one on Trip.
Made the booking but get told no success (by phone)
Asked to try to make another booking in 30 min.
Tried again.
Again phone call to check some details but saying no luck since the hotel is fully booked!
Now here comes the surprise:
I stayed at another hotel and Trip still charged my credit card while I only got pain in the [censored] from them.
When complaining they first told me there was only one call. Then they said everything was fine look at your email.
How can I proof them wrong after the event?
Well I learnt my lesson:
Never again I am going to use Trip or any related company (skyskanner).
Why is it that these companies are allowed to take us consumers for a ride?

Trip.com Date change - [protected]

I have purchased a ticket via online as per below via trip.com and it clearly states that i can reschedule or cancel my booking. I would like reschedule my date to 6/9/2018 and i have made calls to shangai, China which is very inconvenient and they keep on saying it cant be change as per the policy, then why it was not notified when it was purchased instead indicated can be changed?

Trip.com Flight ticketing

I received email from Trip.com that my flight 5 days later is cancelled. When I call to the airline directly to confirm, the flight is actually still on schedule. In addition, they cancelled and refunded my booking without my acknowledgement. This is completely ridiculous and unacceptable.

I will believe that the agent (I.e Trip.com) has accepted too many bookings that they can't deliver, and hence they send out fake emails to their customers that the flight has been cancelled. This is totally a scam company and totally ruined the reputation of Skyscanner. Will never use Skyscanner again as they did not assess reliable vendors to the website!

Trip.com Fraudulent trip.com: singapore to denpasar booking [protected].

Hi,

on 28th February I booked a flight from Singapore to Denpasar for 7th May with Air Asia. Skyscanner brought up Trip.com as the agent and I booked through them, booking number [protected].

I received payment confirmation from Skyscanner as well as from Trip.com - see end of this email. However, I did not receive a valid ticket. At Singapore Airport I was rejected because the payment confirmation did not have my correct name and there was no valid ticket amongst the documentation I had received from Trip.com.

I now had to buy a new ticket for a later flight for A $177 and had to wait at Singapore airport for another 4 hrs. Trip.com is a provider I used because it was advertised on your website which I had trusted.

Please re-imburse the price of the new ticket A $177 as soon as possible.

Since booking my flight (Sydney -Tokyo), I have had 4 emails informing me flights have changed. The current flight has a 12hr stop over and 2 days late.

I complained and was given a 2hr stopover time but I have to pay another $200

If a get a refund, flights have double now

I normally trust Skyscanner to get a good deal and hope I can get help.
