triOS College Psw- Government funding

I really regret getting into this school.

My online classes were great until they put me into a low income nursing home called Cooksville care center, the residents are nice, but the some staff are bullies, I asked my clinical supervisor to be transferred to another placement, because I was getting bullied and harassed, my clinical supervisor was telling other PSW that I was a troublemaker, why because I showed care to the residents, while the other PSW just do their bare minimum with clients, as where I showed and care for the people as if they were my own family, I contacted Trios Mississauga and they could care less that I was getting bullied, never took the time to ask me about my situation, I asked to be transferred to another nursing home and they told me id have to stay where I am now or I will be terminated from my placement, how can I go back tona placement where I was being treated bad?

Desired outcome: To be placed somewhere else, not to go to work to be bullied.

Trios Collège?

Is it really, a College?‼️

Mind you, I had a Car injury.

Since I can not perform, a Physical job that much, I joined Trios Collège, to get a certificate (Diploma), for Paralegal Course.

I asked them, I can not afford to make payments, during the Registration period.

They responded, 'It is ok. Since you are CANADIAN Citizen, the Government will pay for it".

Remember, I am not Employed and I am using my saved Money, to survive.

Later on, there was a debate about, HOMOSEXUALS treatments.

Which is not the part of the Subject, that the curriculum allows.

Who is really, the trouble maker?

The worst and illiterate, Instructor (Elle Scarlett).

She was motivated and supported by some Homosexual People, to caused troubles in the Classroom.

As a very strait forwarded person, I said, Legally, it is unconstitutional and Religiously, SATANIC (SODOM AND GOMORRAH), accordingly the HOLLY BIBLE.

Then, some People, who claimed to be HOMOSEXUALS, they keep Administrating, Nexious/Nuisances substances, against Me.

Which is prohibited by C.C.C., Section 245 (a)(b).

They kept Intimidating and CRIMINALLY Harrassing Me, in Daily base.

As the results of the crimes committed against me, I kept attending Emergency Hospitals, in Three different occasions.

Frequently, I spoke with Campus Director.

But, She is a collaborator, with my attackers.

In Two occasions, I wrote the complaints, direct to the Campus President, Mr. Bentley.

But, I did not get any respond.

==========

Very seriously, this Trios Collège, must be banned and some Instructors, must be charged, CRIMINALLY.

triOS College csw+internship program

I am currently a student at TriOS honestly its the worst experience, you pay for 4 hours a day 5 days a week. you'll likely receive 45 mins a day, you will have teachers who are clueless and have no idea about what they are teaching.

i have handed in more than 5 assignments that were blank maybe 1 question answered I was rewarded with 100% on every assignment I handed in. I can prove it with the assignment and the final grades. I have asked the school for help or to be placed with another teacher, I was denied that option and told its up to me to fix it. they offered me extended exam time after I had told the school I was not understanding a single thing I was being taught which is not going to help if the teachers are not doing their job.

Desired outcome: The teachers need to be better screened and better educated. I'd Strongly like a response regarding this. I'm not paying thousands of dollars for 45 mins a day and less than adequate education.

I attended this school November 2022, and in the beginning I was so excited. As the weeks passed and I got to Lifespan and came across an instructor, Lisa. She made wanting to stay in the program easy. You can tell she was having domestic/family issues - she didn't do a great job clearing her energy beforehand, but you could also just feel something was off. She told us that it was against school policy to record the lectures, to later find out that, that was not true as other instructors before and after did this, while sharing slides, and slightly easier exam prep sheets.

Then there is Kathleen, although she comes off as an amazing person you later see she is pretty self-centered and at times insensitive with her words. She enjoyed going on about her accomplishments instead of getting right into the lectures - she would go on for a while; over-achiever syndrome. She also can be dismissive to students who ask questions, or she'd get annoyed with the type of question asked.

Her study guides and way of teaching at times didn't always reflect each other and/or the textbook.

She takes WEEKS before she grades, and when she does, the feedback would be confusing because although you did what was asked of you, she still found fault in what she told you to do.

The Toronto campus is annoying! They don't answer their phones, the staff does not reply to emails in a timely manner, some instructors have ZERO experience in teaching and some in the field their teaching.

The system they use: Teams, etc is always crashing, delaying/lagging - stressful during exams/tests.

triOS College Kicked out due to grade average below 60...6 weeks into classes

I started taking the law clerk specialist program at trios on may 16 2022, I was rushed and pushed into the start date even though I felt unprepared and informed them that I only had a chromebook and was told that it would do for now, once my funding came through I could get a proper laptop, I asked how long it may take for my osap to be approved and released as i had yet to complete the application. Trios reassured me it would be within the next week or 2. I didnt receive my funding until June 17 2022, and immediately purchased a new laptop.

1) they reassured me that my chromebook would do for now...the only units that I was able to attend were Microsoft word, excel and digital literacy...chromebooks do not support windows/Microsoft products which made completing and submitting my work virtually impossible...and they knew it.

2) 2.5 weeks into classes my 3yr old opened a 2nd floor window and slipped and fell, miraculously he had no serious or life threatening injuries but was in hospital for 2+ days as well as was traumatized from the fall and needed more supervision and assistance than usual, this was reported to trios. When they told me I was kicked out, Margaret Milner told me I should have told someone about my son and my other set backs as they could have done something to help but it was too late at this point. She (margaret) had noticed my grade average slipping the previous week and monitored it until the 28th of June, when she removed me from classes.

Now, I understand that a certain grade average is required to remain in classes. I also understand that I fell below that grade. I agree that it should not have and it was unacceptable that it happened.

What I dont understand is why therea no minimum number of weeks into a program that stops students who have more than enough lessons, assignments and time remaining in the course to get their grade back up. In all reality if I had not been rushed into the start date, I would have had daycare set up for my sons, I would have had my funding sorted out before starting classes, had proper tools and supplies (laptop) and I would have walked into day 1 confident, prepared and ready...and I would still be a student.

As a single mother of 4 children, only 2 at home, I feel like i was given an unfair chance and that had I been given the opportunity to proceed with the course I would have brought my mark up quickly and it would have stayed there.

Also, I dont understand why I wasn't informed about my grade especially considering that Margaret was monitoring it for a week, when it was noticed. Nobody said any thing to me or asked if I was having a tech problem or if I was having an issue figuring out the required software or even asked if I needed a tutor... nothing was said to me until I was kicked out.

All this makes me feel like they may target single parents, suggesting programs that are under filled and risk being cancelled and push them into classes they aren't really interested in, setting them up to fail quickly so they can remove them as students but the school of course still gets their money from osap which doesn't get refunded or even partially refunded if u get kicked out...is it just myself that finds it odd that without a word of notice, a week after my osap finally gets approved (and day before I was kicked out i received an email from Margaret Milner inquiring if I had received my osap funding yet) and the next day...bu bye? I bet they get a bonus for each student they recruit that is registered for so many weeks...

triOS College Community service worker program, incompetent instructors

Kathleen at the Hamilton campus for the community service worker course does NOT know what she is doing. When I joined this course I thought she was great and our first assignment was great. they took time and energy and forced us out of our comfort zones. That was 1 assignment in 1 course. I am now 73 days until my internship and this is why you should join the SSW program at mohawk over the CSW program at Trios.

1) When you join the course a few things are made clear to you, no cheating, don't log in to class and sleep, and be respectful. And all this seems standard until you start taking her tests. I've noticed Kathleen's tests will have questions that do not reflect ANYTHING we did in class. I'm almost 100% certain she takes her questions off of study guides online and while that sounds extremely accusatory multiple other students in the class agree that her tests are funky and have information in them that isn't gone over during the course. Then, when you download the assignments there are countless grammar and spelling mistakes that give the impression the assignments were written by somebody else and never edited or revised for further use.

2) For the logging on and just not participating, she used to call people out or even kick people out, in fact, she'd make a huge show of it saying "Ope I'm gonna kick them out and see if they're paying attention and come back" though as time went on I started to realize she was progressing students who never participated during discussions, classwork time, after class assignment time or in trainings. And at the graduation ceremony (if you can even call it that) we are forced to nominate people for awards that we have to create and at some point, you run out of names and have to nominate the people who don't participate and then they end up winning an award for sitting in a teams call doing who knows what.

3) As for being respectful, Kathleen has this ideal she follows where has to fix every willfully ignorant, disrespectful, person who logs into her class and won't hesitate to waste our tuition money giving into people's homophobic, racist ideals and ignoring genuine questions from other students like when and where to find an assignment. Students will even admit to pushing her just to get her upset and time and time again she continuously takes the bait or out of nowhere will ask for their opinion.

4) We used to have a student that was slightly disruptive. She had a new life-changing moment every day and we would listen to whatever was new but Kathleen would ALWAYS force her back on track. One time when the student wasn't in, Kathleen made a comment that every class has a student that you need to keep on track and they come off as awkward or even rude but they're just trying to fit in, and keeping them on track helps them. However, once that student and her group left, that expectation was dropped and we were expected to listen and SYMPATHIZE (not empathize) with individuals in my class and once spent the entire 4 hours counseling a student in front of the class (a repeat class disruptor). It's so bonkers to me that the hateful individual willfully not accepting the help around him gets more understanding than the kind, disabled girl who is genuinely trying to get help and better herself.

5) Kathleen boasts about her past working with individuals with disabilities, though, when a student in her class showcased her autism rads test and asked if she should pursue a doctor about it she was told she "might have Aspergers because she is very high functioning." This is very worrying as people in the class are getting jobs working with disabled people and while Kathleen isn't teaching about disabilities, if she is going to be giving her opinion then she needs to know what she's talking about. If you have autism you have autism it's a spectrum disorder for a reason and terms like Aspergers and high and low functioning are harmful as they were created by non-autistic people with the intent to label autistic people based on how hard they were to deal with not how they can actually function within different settings.

6) Multiple students have disclosed messaging Kathleen for help or to navigate assignments outside of class and there are times when she will straight out ignore people's multiple attempts to get in contact with her or she will give a vague answer and exclaim why she won't do it "it's here but too far back for me to get to it, find it yourself." Now, students are turning to each other for assistance and hoping they find someone with the answer as our instructor is never not showcasing her incompetence to just assist her students who actually care about the course. (btw Kathleen helped develop the courses and write the textbooks, she, by all means, has the know-how on helping us; she just chooses not to)

7) Someone got caught cheating and distributing material to cheat in the Hamilton and Niagara program. By all means, this isn't 100% Kathleen's fault HOWEVER before this past test she would open the test, go through every question, and tell us how to answer the written ones. then let us write it. Somebody recorded her doing this and sold it and all I have to say is who previews tests? who previews them in such detail as she had? who spends DAYS encouraging her students to bash each other, and followed up every insult towards this girl who cheated with something along the lines of "I'm so great why would you cheat from me." I'm sorry but if you're giving away the answers, you just answered your own question on the why and how people can cheat off of you. Things were getting tense in this bashing fest where multiple students and Kathleen talked about how this girl was a shame to the program and the field, how she didn't deserve to continue studying, how they'd be watching her like a hawk, and if they even thought she was cheating or doing anything she would be gone. Students talked about How it was EXCITING for Kathleen to go and question this girl and how offended Kathleen was that she didn't have remorse. I don't agree with what the girl did and my heart would be in my throat if I had to have been in that call but regardless, Kathleen is not entitled to this girl's admittance of guilt and her reasoning why. But that was her reasoning for why it was okay to bash this girl for what she did and insult her entire character not only because she cheated off of material that Kathleen gave to us that she really shouldn't have in the first place but moreover because she found it immoral to have been caught cheating and still not admit it.

8) Grading. Kathleen has admitted that she does not read the names of whos tests she's marking and there are students with learning disabilities or who are ESL that would benefit from extra care being taken in marking their material. I'm very familiar with the D2L that we use for the class as it's the same I've been using for about 6 years now and I know there are features to edit on top of people's assignments the way you would with a pen or to leave comments though we NEVER get a breakdown of our marks. Actually, at the beginning of our course, Kathleen showed us how she marks our work and it's essentially a point per relative sentence but she does that for every assignment and there's just more to marking than counting sentences.

9) Kathleen told us that it is in policy that if you need to use the restroom during a test it is her job to follow you into the bathroom and listen to you pee. These ideals are not reflected in Trios policy and she said it with such crass and a smug smile as if talking to a group of children in an elementary school. She also informed us we are to keep our cameras on during exams to ensure we aren't looking around but that we aren't allowed to look around because she wouldn't be looking. I have GI problems and was sure if I used the bathroom beforehand I would be okay writing the test though my stomach acted up and i was in a great deal of pain. Side note if you genuinely think I'm lying I debated taking the fail or genuinely taking my computer into the bathroom because I have a legit medical condition and was not told if I would be required to bring a doctor's note... to go to the bathroom... in my own home... Needless to say, I was breathing as deeply as I could and hoping not to "look around too much" so as to not make anyone think my gastro intestinal despair was cheating.

10) The past 2 months have been the same course repeated with different titles and some trainings put in. Part of me thinks they had to legally add more time into the program to make it valid because there's no reason we need to pretend that Populations at risk, community services in Canada, group work and human relations, and business communications were not just 1 course that they were asked to extend into 5 courses.

There will be more to tell and theres surely stuff I'm missing. You can even see the success rates and look at the difference between just the two CSW courses she runs at the Trios hamilton campus from 2019 and every other course offered at a private career college (its in an excel doc online)... but I'm not the only one who's caught onto whats going on and whatever happens I just hope I can pay off my OSAP loan in an okay amount of time

Desired outcome: New instructor while this one gets more training and helpreimbursement for the money I've been wasting

triOS College discriminatory and unfair treatment ongoing with impunity

I am complaining and considering the future academic profiles of all students unfortunate enough to fall victim of this type of treatment within the educational system of Trios in Ontario.
Due to multiple acts of discrimination and unfair treatment exhibited by the administration of Trios. Students have been advised to keep a diary of actions, comments, suggestions and "off the record chats" with the administration.
The administration is not only "amending" hours spent in the classroom to suit the needs and requirements of the college. I have been gathering documentary evidence which contradicts the information the college has submitted as true and factual.
I have unfortunately come to the realization that the complete disregard for the ethical requirements of the educational institute is overlooked allowing the administrators operate with impunity with no regard for the impact that their actions will have on the student's financial situation and educational background in the future.
The administration has been providing false information to the students to ensure confidence in order to operate in the "grey" area to ensure compliance.
When resistance is exhibited in not wanting to participate is unethical actions like forging documentation under the instruction of administrators. Students are being threatened with termination unless falsifying documentation which is backdated to support the untrue information the director submits to her superiors.
The wide array of immoral, unprofessional and unethical conduct has run ramped at trios downtown Toronto campus. The severe nature of recommending students obtain mental illnesses to allow them "special" substandard treatment by offering to provide referrals to specific medical professionals in order to accomplish and obtain the "special" status needed to be referred to as a mentally ill student is by far an extremely familiar course of action of discrimination.
This is the type if treatment aboriginals are enduring across the country. It seems to be that this type of implementation of discriminatio9n has found its way to Toronto's educational institutes, and students need to be aware of what kind of "help" is the help you want to stay far away from.
When encouraging students to obtain the special mentally ill status by providing a wide range of possible conditions that may qualify for this "special status" by advising what type of medical conditions would qualify and would be more difficult for a medical professional to verify.
The list provided by the director was very broad and wide ranged from fatigue, irregular sleeping patterns, depression and even an eating disorder which was conveniently described as being "hard to prove"
There was also an occasion where providing an incentive to the student by assuring them that if they choose to take this route not only would they be eligible for special treatment in academics they would also be eligible to collect their ODSP monthly checks in addition to their student loans.
Where if they were on OW, they would not be eligible for monthly assistance. When encouraging students who are struggling financially while trying to obtain their education that all they need to do is tell a "white lie" (as the educational professionals have referred to the issue) when advising them how to assassinate their own mental health record attention needs to be paid to what is occurring in this educational institute. An extra $940.00 a month is a lot to a struggling student and if the advice is taken this will have a lifelong impact on that student's status in society. This will follow for you for life not only in school, but in employment, and in health and medical services. Right now, with what's going on economically and statistically the last place you want to be as a Canadian citizen is on a list of the mentally ill. The ramifications are far to great to endure on the premeditated attack of the student's mind body and soul from a disturbed immoral an unethical educational professional. The fact that it is seemingly a team effort between the circle of administrators responsible for the statistics of the educational institute it is disturbing and needs to be brought to light.
Not all students are aware of the impact this extremely deviant advice will have on them if they choose to believe the educational professional that it is indeed in their best interest.
The stealth manner in which this is implemented has caused awareness of the educational information being received as well as the information and documentary evidence and any other type of evidence (audio, video) which may be needed to ensure there is no denying these discriminatory, deviant and malicious acts have occurred and are currently on going with evident impunity.
QUESTIONS
Are their consequences if one unintentionally caught an educational professional humiliate a student by constantly bullying and making reference to the student's mental capacity in the classroom?
Is there any recourse for being repeatedly falsely accused of plagiarism and/or cheating on 4 separate occasions all of which have been unfounded, but have remained in the students file?
This is another course of discriminatory and unethical treatment which will ultimately exhibit the student is of poor character and may result in unwanted actions in the students chosen courier if and when the student completes the program. Can these unwarranted and false accusations be amended and removed from the students' academic profile?
Who has the authority to make that decision?
Is there a reason that there is seemingly no information provided to students to ensure their rights and entitlements as a student are respected?
What evidence does this board require the victim to gather to ensure their rights are respected and their voices are heard?
Is there advocates available for students in the educational aspect who feel they have been treated unfairly?
Can one take the media course of action if the lack of documentary evidence audio and video support the students well founded accusations?
Which legislative authority does Trios as a private college fall under?
The student cannot even obtain the complete hours, grades or attendance from the director without being the subject of her subtle interrogation methods and wide Range of reasons it cannot be provided at this time. Multiple sources of video, audio and documentary evidence has been gathered in order to try to exhibit a clear and disturbing picture of the malicious and discriminatory actions and intent to ensure there is a very clear picture of exactly who and what this administrative group is.
More importantly to determine if the authorities responsible for this educational institute are aware of the statistical manipulation of records and if it has been brought to their attention that the information submitted as well as the educational professionals themselves are not what they portray themselves to be. Does the Trios board support this implementation on the students unfortunate enough to attempt to educate themselves at Trios? The grievous nature of what the uninformed and trusting students are enduring while trusting that these educational professionals of Trios have the student's best interest in mind needs to investigate and reviewed at the earliest possible time.
QUESTIONS
I would like to know beyond this board what other recourse's can be sought ?
As I'm sure you are aware discrimination of any kind is a not only unethical, it is also a clear-cut human rights violation and if a student is treated so unfairly they are either removed or withdrew from the program it will have a very negative effect on the student's credit if they are discriminated against and/or bullied out of the program when they do not meet the OSAP requirements they agreed to.
QUESTIONS
If the decision made by the board does not suffice, does this require submitting evidence to the Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) to ensure investigative measures are taken and reparations are made?
Should a student who has experienced this type of treatment and has not received the assistance needed to obtain the students entitled grades and course completion ultimately affecting the student's ability to complete the program does one need to obtain a lawyer to ensure proper measures are taken?
Is there any service in Ontario that adequately defends and protect the students educational, civil and human rights as a Canadian citizen trying to obtain an education in Canada?
Can the student present the evidence to the board including necessary audio and video to ensure an accurate and detailed understanding of the covert methods that were used?

I would like to thank you for what I hope will be an insightful and advisory response to the questions I have asked you here today.
Thank you
Dylan

The Instructor name, Ms. Elle Scarlett, is abusive and dangerous.

She is totally, INCOMPETENT and cover-up, her weakness, through abusive manners.

She said, "I have a Law Degree, at Osgood Law University. I have 31 Years experiences as a Lawyer".

But, She is a piece of s***.

She is totally,...

The Trios College, is a treat to some People.

HOMOSEXUALS and Jewish are, very much using BIOLOGICAL/CHEMICAL WEAPONS on Me, during Exams and classes.

Beside these, consider your wellness, before/during Trios College class times.

I am on my last two weeks of a 9 month course and I have yet to study for an exam or even take my books home for that matter and I still have a 94% average ...

Lol good question... Knowbody in the industry knows or cares, .. It's a meaningless piece of paper...
Save your time and money and get a real education at Durham or George Brown...
If your thinking if trIos, be sure to get a pair of big red shoes and a red nose and a rainbow wig... You'll need them... Lol to blend in with the rest of the clowns ...
