Travelgenio An irresponsible company

An insincere attitude to contact me directly to Qatar Airways without accepting a refund request for a ticket that was issued through this company, but became unavailable due to voluntary change
The Qatar Airways side even communicated that the travel agency should request a refund, but continues to maintain a consistent attitude to contact me as a customer directly to Qatar Airways.

Travelgenio Overcharged at checkout

[Ticket #3122136]

On the 8th of January 2020 I booked a flight from Cape Town to Houston with Travelgenio. At checkout the price was listed as approx. R14500.00, however an amount of R17693.96 was charged. The flight was still available online at the price I thought I had booked at. +/-R3000 was charged above the price I agreed to at checkout.

On the 10th of January 2020 I lodged a support ticket to get a refund of the overcharged amount. They requested I provide proof of payment first.

At the time I was getting married and then covid came along. So on the 16th of August 2020 I provided the statement. Travelgenio then wrote back 3 times that I needed to provide the correct document, and each time I pointed out where to find the information they wanted in the document. Finally on the 23rd of August I underlined the transaction in red, explicitly showing the transaction with all relevant information.

At this point Travelgenio went silent and would not respond when asked for an update. Their action constitutes fraud, and all I ask for is my money back.

Travelgenio Cancelled flight but no refund after two months

Finnair cancelled our August flight to Paris because of Covid. Travelgenio issued email that a refund would be forthcoming; but still no refund. There is no one taking calls; been trying for two months. Have emailed but customer service is a joke here. I understand these are difficult times but there is literally noone you can reach by phone. I tried every available prompt.

Travelgenio Not yet refund my flight ticket as cash

Hello Sir,

This is Jinhee, Hwang (Nationality is South Korea), one of Travelgenio's consumer and this complainer.

I complained too many times directly your website and customer service center for solving my issue during 6 months.

But yesterday, that issues was back to the first step of refund process suddenly. Even your staff was hanged up the phone when I explained again my issue on yesterday. It was non professional and why nobody had any data for my complain history. Why should I have to keep explain to your all staffs again and again?

So, Today I leave my issue in here and I hope to solve this issue soon.

- Remarks: paid by Credit card (the card holder is Ms Hwang Jin Hee)

Mr. Yoon and Mr. Nam are volunteers of KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) which is ODA agency from Republic of Korea (South Korea) and Ms Hwang Jin hee is the Manager of KOICA. As COVID19 Pandemic, these volunteers should back to Korea from Egypt. Therefore, the manager was used the personal card when bought the ticket.

I (Ms. Hwang Jin Hee) bought 6 people ticket through Egypt Air and Travelgenio. Until August 4 people's ticket which was paid directly to Egypt air was refunded as cash. But 2 peoples's ticket which was paid to Travelgenio was not refunded. Travelgenio kept ask for to contact with Egypt Air but Egypt Air told me the agency, Travelgenio still not start any process for the refund by Egypt Air. That means might be Travelgenio issue was not registe or Egypt Air still not received Travelgenio's refunding requirement.

I really do not understand what happen to Travelgenio because the direct payment through Egypt Air was already refunded to me on August. Only Travelgenio's amount was still not refunded. Travelgenio is still non clear to explain for my ticket refund issue and hanged up my phone when I try to explain again to solve my issue. That situation gave offense to me.

And also I want to ask Travelenio how will compensate my time as one of your consumers to waiting your service for 6 months.

Travelgenio Why do I have to pay the cancellation fee when I cannot travel to due to border restrictions?

I have booked my ticket on September 20th through skyscanner, Travelgenio.
The ticket was one way, non-stop ticket departing on October 7th, to Budapest, Hungary from Seoul, South Korea.
There were no regulations at that time, but on September 29th, Hungary was planning on closing its borders to foreigners from October.
As a result, millions of consumers are now banned from travelling to the destinations where they have booked accommodation including myself.
If you are traveling for certain purpose (business) you may enter the country but I wasn't and neither I am Hungarian.
I have sent on email to Travelgenio asking about full refund.
All they have sent back was telling me not to contact them until they contact me first because of mass cancellation due to corona virus.
They said they are giving priority to those with upcoming reservations.
But I never not another email related to my question.
I tried to wait patiently as possible to give them time until I was prioritised as 'upcoming reservation'.
But I had to contact skyscanner on Septmeber 2nd to ask Travelgenio for a refund.
I finally got an email today which was the date of my departure date.
It was even after the departing time.
They told me that the flight wasn't cancelled by the airline so I have to penalty by the airline of 140euros and 50euros as cancellation feee.
What I don't understand is the cancellation was not due to my personal problems, but because the country won't let me. I was NOT qualified to enter the country.
And they also mentioned in the email that the rule is applicable before the departure, but they have sent me the email after the tie of departure.
My friends contacted the airline because of the same problem but she wasn't charged with any cancellation fee. NOT a single penny. But why do I have to pay the penalty fee of 190euros?

Travelgenio Please refund

Hello,

I booked flight to the Chile from Uruguay by Latam airline.
I went to Chile and made a self-transfer to return to my country.
However, recently, the Chilean government declared that due to the coronavirus, foreigners can only transfer in Chile and not self-transfer without exception.
So I asked Latam Airlines and American Airlines if they could link the tickets or luggage, but I was told that it was impossible because I purchased them separately.
If I go to Chile on this ticket, I will become an international lost child.
So, other travel agency and hotel gave me full refund.

I trid to contact Travelgenio by website, mail, facebook, but there was no answer.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with TravelGenio?
So could you please kindly help me cancel my travel and full refund to me?

i received an e.Mail from travel egenio 16 july stating they had received the refund from sas and would forward the funds to me in 6-8 weeks once it had been "authorised".

Still no refund. Automated response to querying e.Mails. Telephone number carries a premium, high cost fee

Travelgenio Refunds not received

This Company should be put out of business by government regulators. They have yet to refund 5/22-5/24/20 flights on Porter Airlines from IAD to Ottawa that were cancelled due to COVID travel restrictions. After calling three times and being assured a refund was coming in 60-90 days, it is now September and nothing has been done. Their phone system is meant to confuse consumers and then cuts you off before you can speak with anyone. This scam must be stopped.

Travelgenio Refund

I made a reservation through Travel2be. It was the day of departure on September 30th, but it was considered dangerous because of Corona, so I called the German branch and canceled it on June 25th, but after checking the progress, it still shows that the refund is being processed after 60 days and it is not going on anymore. And I tried to contact him, but I couldn't even reach him. I'm so worried that I can't get a refund, so I'm writing here because I haven't been able to get in touch with you. Travelgenio I want a refund. I need you to figure it out quickly.

The plane I booked was canceled due to the Corona19 virus.

So I asked for a refund to Treble Zenio several times.
But the refund is not being processed.
I'm feeling a great deal of discomfort using Treble Zenio.

Travelgenio I do not sincerely recommend this company. They won't return your money.

First of all, I bought tickets at the end of June and applied for a ticket refund to them exactly on July 2nd, but they are not giving me a refund. They told me that it would take 6-8weeks, but now at the end of August, I have not received any refund. They are liars.
Consumer centers are not reachable and there is no way to contact them even if they go to their website.
You guys should never use this company.

Travelgenio Payment not received

I asked and wrote to travegenio and ural airlines the reimbursement after the cancellation of flight.
Ural airlines gave me two options (refund or voucher).
Travelgenio surprised me with the answer the ural airlines can give me only one option (voucher).
The european law allow the totally reimbursement not only the voucher in these cases.

How long should I wait for cancel?

Your service team sent me a message about cancel almost two months ago. You said "We will cancel your tickets as my instructions"

I gave our every informations what you need to get refund.
You said it needs 6 to 8weeks to get refund. But i have waited already 8 weeks.

Tell me why i still can't get a refund. If you are too late, we will get a help from our credit card company. I don't have a choice.

I gave you booking code so many times. Check your mail. Your service team sent me a mail to give me a refund. Your mail was written "wait 6 to 8 weeks".

Travelgenio Refund

I booked Jetstar flight Brisbane to Melbourne on 5 July 2020 from Travelgenio. Booking number [protected]. flight time is 18 July. Flight been cancelled by Jetstar and The Travelgenio help me to process the refund. Until now 17/8/2020. I still didn't received the refund, so I enquired the Jetstar about my refund. Jetstar told me They already deposit my refund on the master card which last 4 number is 0669. I told them this is not the card when I paid for my booking, and I don't have this card. They said this is the card which Travelgenio provided to them. they also said the refund money will deposit to third party which is Travelgenio agent. And ask me to contact to agent. So I contaact to the Travelgenio on phone number [protected]. The agent told me the refund is nothing to do with them. Jetstar should deposit on my bank account. and ask me to contact to Jetstar again. they didn't want to me to explain. So I keep rang both agent and Jetstar, but no one want to help me. Just don't know where is my refund gone. I don't know who can help?
Another thing is Travelgenio charged my flight ticket is $159.74, But Jetstar sent me invoice is $137.36. How come different price without on the charge list.
please help.

Travelgenio Refund (travelgenio)

In response to your request, we inform you of the fare conditions established by the airline in the event of cancellation:
190 EUR per passenger penalty fee
50 EUR per passenger for administrative costs
Some airline taxes will be non refundable

The email above is what I received from Travelgenio.
I don't understand why the penalty fee is ridiculously high although they were the refundable tickets.
It was for my honeymoon and I had to cancel them due to the corona virus.
I booked two tickets at British airline(through a Korean agency, not travelgenio) departing from Seoul(South Korea) to the UK and received a full refund 3 months ago.
The tickets that I booked at Travelgenio is for coming back to Seoul and the agency imposed such a high penalty fee, even though they were the REFUNDABLE TICEKTS.

Travelgenio Worst travel agency.

My airline ticket was canceled by the airline because of the corona virus.
But I didn't get any contact from the travel agency until I called to cancel first. Even though the plane was canceled due to the corona virus, they asked me for a commission.
I received a cancellation email, but I haven't received a refund for over a month.
I went to the site today and my reservation still remains.
I sent an e-mail, but it was only an automatic response.

Travelgenio I want to get my money back

2020.8.06 my flight from tokyo narita airport to busan gimhae airport was canceled, but I did not receive a refund. Please take care of it as soon as possible.
I went to the airport because I didn't have a word or email in advance, but when I heard that the flight was canceled at the airport, I was very upset and in a bad mood. I'd like to charge you all the time and money until you go, but I won't. I want to get a refund really quickly, so take care of it.

Dear Travelgenio people,

How can do you work like that?
I made a reservation for 2 people in order to go to Brazil on the Travelgenio website. But I didn't get any information from you in relation to the VISA needed in Germany and Swiss.
I never saw any information, which VISA should be needed when travelers visit Germany and Swiss, with a pop-up at your site.
So I didn't get a ticket for these ones and couldn't take a flight with your booking. I complained it to Lufthansa Airline, they said that they could cancel our flight tickets without money loss.
Therefore, I want to refund all money for these bookings and flight ticket prices as soon as possible.

Send me your answer to this and I hope you refund it all.

Travelgenio I want to refund my flight ticket for involuntary

I left a message because I couldn't reach travel2be eventhough I did everything I could.
I want to refund my flight ticket for involuntary change.
I was informed by Singapore Airlines that I cannot travel on reserved date because of the Corona virus.
So I sent a refund-related mail to 3 addresses including @travelgenio.com.
But there was no answer and the customer.service@travelgenio.com sent an automated reply.
And I tried to apply in the section of involuntary travel on the homepage, but it does not apply itself.
I don't know how to contact travelgenio when I can't call, mail, or sign up.
As you know, when you look at the comments that TravelGenio left in someone else's writing, it says to send an email to travelgenio.com.
Bur the answering mail says to click the "Contact us" tab on the website, but I wonder what it means when you don't answer the phone. This doesn't make sense.
pleaseeeeee I want a quick refund and I hope you give me quick feedback.

After receiving your reply, I sent the BOOKING ID to the email that you told me, but as expected, I received an automatic reply mail.
As the first article wrote, this is already how I did it.
According to that method, there is a post that says my ticket is being processed. But didn't I write here because I didn't get any contact?
I'd like to suggest a more definite way.
