Travelgenio Cancelled airline tickets

This agent has cancelled our flights without our agreement or approval.
They refuse to respond to any of the follow up emails I have sent asking them why they have done this.
They plan to charge us for this ‘service', which I will contest as it's utterly their fault.
This company has absolutely no respect for its customers and is not fit to trade.

Travelgenio Refund of covid flights

Travelgenio was the agent went through to book my flights from Costa Rica to Australia for April 2020. I have tried on several occasions to contact them, only to receive an automated email of no use or told to go to another department for information (3 at last count). I see from their many bad reviews that they are lieing to their customers, withholding money that is not theirs and blocking contact as best they can. They have told others that their Airlines are the ones to blame as they have to request a refund before moving forward.
I have spoken to my airline Fiji Airways and they say that the opposite is true. The request for refund must come from the agent Travelgenio first.
Then of course, if the refund is requested and the $ returned, I see that many still do not receive their funds and that Travelgenio holds on to their money illegially.
My most recent email to Travelgenio reads:
Travelgenio,

It is now almost NOVEMBER and still I have not heard back from you after several attempts to find out about my April 2020 refund.

I have contacted Fiji Airways directly and they tell me that it is YOU who must authorise the refund, NOT the other way around.

Fiji Airways will be contacting you directly on my behalf to request the refund, which I expect to be credited to my account ASAP.

I have had a few Inquiry tickets from you: 3322010, 3404305, 4153261

YOUR booking reference on the original email you sent me with flight details is: LCL5MB
The booking reference from Fiji Airways (issued on 23 September 2019) is: QQL45Z and the E-Ticket number is: [protected].

You cannot contact them via the above. There is no Contact Us tab on the website and if you go to Customer Service, it just runs you around in a loop with no way out.

I would like to lodge an official complaint against this company and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Travelgenio Service not provided

I bought a flight ticket with Travelgenio. I had a flight Calgary-Toronto-Panama-Lima on October 21st and returning December 11th Lima-Panama-Cancun-Calgary. I called West Yet to ask if they will required printed results of COVID19 test. They said that I won´t need it because my flight with them is domestic Calgary - Toronto, and that I should ask Copa Airlines. I called Copa Airlines and they said that I won´t need the printed results, that I could take the test at the airport and they will only ask for the printed results when I´m boarding to Lima. When I was at the Calgary airport I wasn´t allow to take the flight by agent Nicole Stuart from West Yet. She was asking the printed results of COVID19 and I explained I will have them in my mail in Panama, before boarding to Lima but she didn´t allow me to take the flight. I ended seeing the Doctor that day because of abdominal pain, nauseas and vomits because of stress. Travelgenio did nothing for me to change my ticket. I had to call several times to WEST YET and COPA, explaining my situation. All Travelgenio said was : that my flight was not open to make changes, that I should call the airlines. They said they bought the flights to Hahn Air and that they don´t have controll over the tickets. The payment was already done on my credit card without receiving the service of the Flight. I was denied to board because I wasgiven wrong information by the airlines. And Travelgenius did nothing for me to change my tickets.

Travelgenio told me that "we need you send us an official document stating that the dispute is closed, signed and stamped by your bank."
so l ask the document at the bank and my Credit card company. but that official document does not exist. also Our dispute is over.
Don't lie to me that you need to document. I will be disappointed

Travelgenio Delay-Refund

Good morning,
Despite numerous requests I did not receive any information/ update about a refund process-booking number 17679365. The last update I had was in july saying that it would have taken about 6-8 weeks. Now it has been more than 3 months. How can I know when I am going to get my refund? Thanks again

Travelgenio Less information or wrong information

Dear all,

I am supposed to travel to india but I was not allowed to travel because of the less information or the wrong information provided from your side.

I was supposed to fly on 13 oct 2020 from Malta to india. I tried to do an online check-in a few hours earlier but it was not allowing me to do it and then when I visited the airport in malta they mentioned that I couldn't travel because I don't have a transit visa for the UK. I requested the airport authority and I have been trying to contact the support team and even the airport authority also tried to contact but there was no response from the customer support team. They contacted the UK Border department and requested for me but still they couldn't allow me without a transit visa.

Firstly when I was booking the flight on the website you guys didn't mention transit details. even after booking the flight which I did one month before you guys didn't inform me that transit is required.

secondly I have to travel to india so please respond to me back as soon as possible and try to provide the alternative routes or refund. I prefer alternative routes.

Travelgenio Much delay of refund

I booked flight to Egypt from Korea via UAE one month ago, choosing one of the Travelgenio's suggested options.

But one of Etihad Air that flies to UAE from Korea staffs called me to inform that the duration time of stopover in Abu Dhabi airport, UAE should be less than 5 hours according to COVID 19 UAE policy, so my booking from Korea to UAE was automatically cancelled because stopover duration at Abu Dhabi airport would be over in my flight booking.

Thus, I sent email for canceling my booking and getting refund right after being informed.

I called Travelgenio(Spain) many times to tell this, but calls were disconnected automatically all the time.

I want get refund within a week.

Travelgenio This company is total scammer!!

My flight had been cancelled already on last March for 2 times!

But they didn't refund any 2 tickets for all plus they never picked up the

phone calls or emails. I never saw this kind of company before.

They only excused Covid pandemic! It had happened 8 months ago already!

I recommend NOT to use this company ever!

You will use your money for sure and no feedback at all even if something

uncontrolled situation had...

so I write my story.

I made a reservation for Ethiopian Airlines departing from johannesburg SA on October 15th.

I was planning to take the cat with me, so I've already been able to get the cat through the airline staff
I was informed that I could take them, and I made a reservation after checking the weight of the possible animals on the website.

When I made a reservation through Travelgenio, I specifically chose the pet-related optics.

I also received an email late in the afternoon saying that I would help with the pets reservation.

I called the Ethiopia Johannesburg office to reserve a cat seat in the morning, and they said they could not allow animals.

Ethiopian Airlines to Hand over Responsibility to Agent and Travelgenio to Airline.
Despite my choice of pet-related options.

The amount I paid for is R8, 058, including the seat reservation service.
But when I asked for a refund, they said they would refund R3, 416 only.
The system shows that I can't allow it.

I don't understand why I can't get a refund on the total amount for their fault that neither the travel agent nor the agent has provided proper guidance.

I'm angry at how the wrong information from travel agencies and airlines is about to cost customers their precious money.

I would like you to remit the total amount of R8, 058 I paid to my credit card.

Travelgenio Company offers travelers around the world at a lower price than anywhere else.

I hope you don't disappoint me.

Clearly, it's not my fault, it's your fault.

You have to apologize to me and give me a 100% refund.

Otherwise, people all over the world will see your company again.

My stories will be up here and there.

Again, I want a full refund by 15th Oct.

Travelgenio I did not get my refund after 90 days as promised

Hi Travelgenio,

I would like to receive my refund for two tickets that got canceled due to pandemic. I contacted the airline, and they agreed to reimburse. I contacted your customer service, and you agreed to refund as well.
However, 90 days later, I still didn't receive any money back.

I send an email to your customer service a few days ago - no one replied. I cannot reach you over the phone.

What should I do?

Travelgenio Cancellation - horrible support

I had made a booking on Sep 18th at 4:18PM EST and requested a cancellation at 7:12PM EST. Their site said 24 hour free cancellation as is the law in the USA on all flights. They claim that since this booking was done in Spain time 10:18PM Sep 18th and the cancellation was request 1:12PM Sep 19th the booking does not qualify for a cancellation as it went into the next day in Spain time zone. For me it has only been 3 hours. They are not honoring the 24hour cancellation policy want to charge over 200 Euro for each ticket. This is such a rip off.
Second i asked them fine if you cannot cancel it at least change the name of my wife as his Madien name is differen then the name on her passport. They wanted to charge for that as well. The worse customer service i have dealt with.
Lastest i had the Emirite airline conferenced in with the agency and they told they currently have a waiver policy in place if tickets are booked prior to September 30th for a full refund but they refused to honor that as well. When Emirite representative asked them to use the waiver the customer reprsentative simple hung up on us.
They do not even advertise their phone numbers anywhere i had to really hunt for them as they want you to just use e-mail. There email support replies sometimes in 2-3 days later if at all sometimes. I do not understand how such a agency is allowed to do business. On Kayak they offered the best rate but by the time they were ready to purchase the ticket they increase the ticket price. Your classic bait and switch scheme. They are the worse and should be banned from doing business in the USA. Booking confirmation BVCDES. I have the following support tickets with them Ticket 4086051 and ticket 4092681.

Travelgenio Refund request due to flight has cancelled.

To customer service,

I supposed to trip from Seoul to London, London to Madrid. However I regret to be informed that my flight (from Seoul to London) has been canceled. And there is no way for me to take the other flight from London to Madrid without the trip from Seoul to London. I tried to contact to Travelgenio customer service and send a email to them. However, I couldn't receive any respond.

Anyone else can help me to process the cancellation and make a full refund for my ticket?

Travelgenio Air tickets refund

I have tried to solve this situation since early March 2020 due to worldwide COVID 19 situation. Communication on the phone has been frustrating particularly since August 2020 when no answer at all has been obtained. After long periods of waiting timing on the phone, the call is ended by the system.
I have also tried to contact you via email and the system says that my email address is not recognized which is completely wrong because at the same time, I am receiving emails from you notifying about changes on my reservation. This does not make any sense.
Emirates is claiming that they cannot help me and that the any option to solve my situation is with you.

Travelgenio I have been waiting for 7 months to get a refund.

I have cancelled my flight to canada because of coronavirus in march.
Finally trevelgenio issued email in june that I can get a refund in 8 weeks
Anyhow I did check "my trip" everyday but no results there. Until now trevelgenio still didn't make any refund.
I even received that confirmation email from trevelgenio that I am guaranteed to get a refund in 8 weeks already passed.
