resolved to the customer's satisfaction
Like other people here have mentioned, this guy is a complete nut job who is looking for excuses to pick a fight even with his prospective customers and uses very abusive language. Like someone also suggested, this guy is a convicted fellon (extortion). See www.dc.state.fl.us and search for Bill Avrich.
Below is an email chain that took place after I called Bill (the owner) to tell him that I wanted to ship my car with him, but wanted clarification on his quoted price because I had gotten two different quotes from him by email (one for $1, 175 and one for $1, 225). He said to forward him the email so he could personally verify it and give me an updated quote. This is what followed:

Per our telephone conversation last night, this is the original quote I got from you. Please let me know what your current assessment may be. Please note my car is a 2004 Jeep Liberty, not a 1994 (although I doubt that has any impact for you).

As I mentioned, a quote is just a rough estimate. I explained how the bidding process works and how I go about finding carriers. Ultimately, it is the carrier who sets the price, and not the broker or customer. You will get the lowest real price from the best carrier.

Yesterday you asked me to forward you the quote you had sent me so that you could sit down in front of the computer, look at the current bids for my route and give me an updated quote. Am I to expect something different now?

We are going around in circles here. You just don't get it, and apparently never will. You are obsessed with obtaining a firm "quote", rather than a "price", and seem unable to distinguish between the two. I feel that you are trying to get me to box myself into a corner by committing to a quote, when it is the actual carrier who does this. I think that you need to find another company that will tell you what you want to hear, since it is obvious that you do not want to hear the truth if it is different from what you want to hear.

I agree. I need to deal with someone with whom I can have a normal conversation and who is not interested in arbitrarily turning every conversation into an ego battle. I would also like to deal with someone who can honor his commitments (I'm not talking about your price vs quote nonsense. I'm talking about the fact that last night you very clearly said you were going to do something which now you abusively reject to do). I'm sorry I wasted my time.

Get lost. I repeat...you are NOT welcome as a customer and I REFUSE your business because you are totally ignorant as to how this industry operates. You could not pay me enough to rake your business, and you are not going to dictate the rules here.
Do not even bother trying to contact me again, as I have blocked your email address and every email you send from hereon in shall automatically be returned as "unaccepted".
