Price gouged for replacement of roof for hail damage from storms in Oklahoma City on 05/10/2010. Over charged by more than $7, 000! Insurance agent indicated that their bill was price gouging. They agreed to a settlement but are coming back with incremental bills to make up for the difference.
I am that customer and agree that this was settled as satisfied and would give this company a good reference.
The price the customer was quoted was for a 40 year roof with upgraded decking. After our salesman spent days negotiating, the insurance company agreed with our bid, according to the customer. Customer signed 2 contracts, one for the roof, one for the temporary repairs to keep water out of the house. After months of negotiations with customer, we finally settled for a lesser amount, even though we provide a better roof decking at the customers request. We then also asked that she pay the cost of the temporary repairs on the separate contract. We never went back to her for any additional funds. I am able to provide emails, contracts, and any other document that supports our case. Customer was satisfied, and was provided lien releases as well as receipts for all work done.
Customer seems like a real jerk. As the owner of another company I hate dealing with customers like this. When you sign an agreement and the roof is done, why complain about the price after? If you want a crap roof, go with the low bid. If you want quality, you pay for it. Grow up and quit complaining! Best of luck TopLine! Sorry you had to deal with this.
