Tire Kingdom upsell

I have purchased tires here since 2002 and in the past been somewhat satisfied. I am a mechanic by trade and I keep my vehicles in great shape because I don't want to break down. In the last couple years you guys have been upselling to everyone that walks in. I follow the recommendation in the owners manual and scan my vehicles every three months for issues so when I go to get one tire and you guys tell me I need six hundred dollars worth of work, it is a slap in the face and an insult.
For instance: I changed all the fluids in my vehicle but pinched the gasket on the transmission and took it to the dealership. they replaced the gasket and once again replaced the transmission fluid, also did alignment. Four days later I went tire kingdom to get a tire. The manager came in the lobby and told me my fluids were extremely dirty and needed to be changed immediately and the front end needed alignment bad. This was in Auburndale FL. Today it happened at the Winter Haven location( different items). This is poor relations.

Tire Kingdom oil change, tire rotation, wheel alignment, and dent on my vehicle

I had an appointment at 12pm today 8/13. When I got there, they took all the oil out of my car and then told me they didn't have any more oil. I had to wait over an hour for them to get the oil from one of their vendors. While I was there for three hours, I saw them run over an orange traffic cone with a black Lexus coupe, curb the back side of my wheel with my car into the pavement while reversing it, drop one of my lug nuts, and one of the employees used excessive profanity while he burned himself and spilled oil all over the bottom on my vehicle. I was told they put air in my tires (which they didn't) and had to advise them to please put air in my tires. I also paid for an alignment and they went to give me my car before doing it. I had to remind them of the work that I paid to be done or they were just going to let me leave. I have two front tires that had wear and tear and their advice was not to rotate my tires and just get two new ones for the front. Check the cameras please. I currently have a claim in for a dent that was on my car after I left. My car was detailed on Sunday (August 11th) and there wasn't a dent. I will consider them innocent until proven guilty. I need the security tapes. My car has 9000 miles on it and is garage kept. I need to see that dent on my car prior to them beginning. There should be cameras everywhere. The dent is on the passenger side rear by the back right tire.

Tire Kingdom extremely poor workmanship by the mechanics resulting in costly repairs

I have been a customer at the Tire Kingdom at 2525 W. Sample Rd. 33073 for years. I have purchased several sets of tires there and at other locations. I have had several oil changes performed. I recently had to take the vehicle that has been serviced (2012 Honda CR-V Z91GUB) to the the dealer for a dealer issue. While it was there, I had them change the oil. They gave me the stripped threads oil plug and had to replace the oil pan because the plug had been over torqued resulting in damage to the plug and oil pan. The also gave me the old oil pan. The plug was so stripped that it could not be tightened and oil dripped out constantly. The cost was $820.82. Last year I had to replace the wheel studs because they had been over torqued as well.
The last time I bought tires there I applied for and received a credit card with the promise of a rebate. I applied for the rebate but never received it.
Years ago I had a control arm replaced on a 1998 Dodge Ram at another store location. The installation was faulty and it failed in Jacksonville. I had to stay there longer and miss work to have this emergency repair completed. The wheel was slanted and fortunately it failed in town at a low rate of speed rather than on the highway at a high rate of speed with my young son as a passenger.
I have been advised numerous times by the counter staff to purchase repairs that were not necessary at the time.
Please reimburse the oil pan replacement cost since the damage was clearly done by faulty workmanship of your mechanics.

Tire Kingdom oil change/insufficient oil put in resulting in engine damage

The shop is very clean and everyone is very nice. However, they do not seem to want to take responsibility for their errors. I took my car in for an oil change and the technician neglected to put in sufficient oil and did not check to see if their was enough oil. I drove the car and now need an engine rebuild according to another mechanic. It has been weeks and I have not been contacted as to how they plan on resolving the matter. Meanwhile, I am without a car unless I want to pay for a repair that was caused by their negligence. I realize everyone makes mistakes but this company does not want to take responsibility for the actions of their employees. I have tried numerous times to talk to someone to resolve but my calls have not been returned. I was told, that all I needed to do, by the company adjuster, was to put oil in the car. The certified Hyundai mechanic stated that should I drive the car without fixing the engine, I was risking a serious accident. I have 2 children who drive in my car and would be putting them at risk. The cause was due to eh negligent acts of a tire kingdom employee and despite being put on notice of a dangerous situation, they have chosen to do nothing.

Tire Kingdom oil change and tune-up

I came to Tire Kingdom yesterday 7/31 / 19 at 10 or 11 a.m. beginning oil change and tire rotation my wife picked me up because I would have to wait a while for them to change the oil and rotate the tires I received a phone call at 3:30 p.m. that they did a diagnostic check and found that my spark plugs were misfiring I told them that I had two spark plugs change a year ago but the service counter person told me that it needed to be done and that the car will be ready at the same day he called me back an hour later stating that if I could pick up the car the following day which is today 8/1/19 I came into Tire Kingdom at 9:30 in the morning and they told me that the car was still misfiring they needed to check more at 1 p.m. they told me that it was a sensor and that they ordered the part if it was the sensor then I did not need a tune-up just a sensor to be replaced now it is 1:30 in the afternoon and I'm still here angry disgusted and have not been told anything any update as of yet that my truck is ready to go.

Tire Kingdom customer service

I live in Tampa, but was working in Sanford and had a tire blow on my dually. The tire is a weird size, but they happen to have one! I'm in luck, right? No, they wouldn't sell me the tire without the truck there to put it on.. ok, I'll play ball. I limp the truck to them at 5:40 pm. He then tells me he has one guy and they will have to do it another day because the guy has 4 tires to do.. I let him know it was an emergency and just needed to get home. Could care less. I had to go buy the wrong size tire from Walmart (no one within 20 miles had the size I needed) jack my 13k lb truck up myself and swap front to back and so on and now I'm making my 100 mile drive nice and bouncy. Hope it makes it ok.. it's a shame we can help each other out when we are in need 👍🏻. Spend thousands every year with tire kingdom. Not anymore.

Tire Kingdom tire alignment

A 1 yr alignment package was purchased for the vehicle for 124.99
After bringing in the vehicle 4 times to insure it drives straight I was informed that an additional fee of 107.99 was now due. Both the Service Mngr Armond -Poblete and the Strore Mngr Martin Germain were only willing to do the work for the additional price. I was told the 124.99 does not cover the Camber adjustment and according to Martin Germain they NEVER touch thosse bolts. I have been a customer at this location since March of 2014 . The actions of the above individuals has forever tarnished the Tire Kingdom name and I will never recommend TBC again. .Please respond

Tire Kingdom oil change / rotation

Hi,
I wanted to make a complaint to the treatment and the false advertising given to the public that the rotation is done free is a lie, because depending on the moment, they do not do it, my tires were bought there, and the front tires (they were not so bad ) I intended to change in a month, the 2 backs were new, so I left without making the rotation, I also, meant that the employees are very rude, I'll leave a bad review and now try another company !

Tire Kingdom customer service

On July 8, 2019, At 9:00am I called Tire Kingdom in the Saint Cloud Florida location to schedule an appointment for a tire that I purchased at the location that became defective. My appointment was scheduled for 5:00pm

I arrived at the location 15 minutes early so I can make the appointment. I then waited an hour before I addressed the front desk my concern on why my car was still out on the parking lot and not on one of their empty bays.

The front desk informed me that someone will soon be looking at my vehicle. The Front desk showed no concern nor apologize for the long wait. Twenty minutes after addressing my concern my vehicle was finally taken in the bay.

I waited approximately two hours, finally greg the employees was very rude with me then stated the job was about to be looked at. I requested to speak to a manager, Craig then called the manager Joe Walden but to no avail. I waited three hours for the mechanics to determine all I needed was a patch on my tire.

The employees show no concerns for me nor my wait time. This issue needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Tire Kingdom just lost a loyal customer.

Tire Kingdom unprofessional/rude service

Today I had a 10am appointment for oil change and 1 tire replacement at the Tire Kingdom location in Clermont, FL (229 US Highway 27). When I arrived, I asked how long my service would take as I had plans for 12pm. The employee who checked me in said about an hour or less as I had an appointment. As I was sitting in the lobby, there were multiple people who came in for service without appointments. As the time was passing by, 3 cars were taken without appointments while my car was still in the parking lot. At 10:42 (42 mins after my appointment time), I asked the employee who checked me in, why my car was still in the parking lot and other cars were being worked on without appointments. He looked at me angrily as I was inconveniencing him for asking and rudely replied that those other cars were requiring specially certified technicians and my service was basic and they could not work on it but other 2 technicians eventually would when they get to it. I replied if the more certified technicians were available that they could have worked on my car too as I had an appointment and he told me that my car would have been done in 1 hour or less originally. Then the employee proceeded to argue with me which is not called for. He could have apologized for the wait and could have said sorry but no, he was trying to get business away from this location. When I asked why they give appointments when they don't take cars anywhere near scheduled times, he was just looking at me. I asked for my car key as I no longer could continue to wait as he never said when my car would be worked on. Why schedule appointments for people if you don't stick to them? It would be nice if your employee could have said he was sorry about the wait and then could have given me the time frame when my car would be worked on. Will never be back at your store. The worst customer service.

Tire Kingdom faulty diagnose/ expensive tune up - car actually runs worse

On 6/27/19 I brought my car to Tire Kingdom for a flat tire repair. They advised me that I needed 4 new tires instead of just a single tire repair. They claimed the tires were old and dry rotted. I bought the four tire replacements.

I picked up the car and I noticed it had a very subtle "skip" as I drove down the road. This had never occurred before therefore I brought it back to Tire Kingdom and they then advised that the car needed a complete tune up for $800 plus dollars. It was rather expensive, but I authorized it (I have every record of service for this car since I owned it. I do not skimp on service).

I dropped the car off (with an appointment) on a Tuesday morning and it was not ready that day, or the next day, or the following day. Sensing something was wrong, I called them and they said they were just doing some final checks to make sure it was ready. I drove by Tire Kingdom and the car was still sitting in the parking lot. They now had my car for four days for a simple tune-up. It quickly became apparent to me that they couldn't figure out what the problem was, so I stopped in for face-to-face contact. The employee walked away from me, talked to another employee, and about 5 minutes later the mechanic told me I had a "serious engine issue" and it subsequently needed more than the original tune-up that they said it needed. It should be again noted that this car was running fine PRIOR to bringing it in to Tire Kingdom for the flat tire to be fixed. I had just driven this car from Connecticut to Florida and prior to that trip, I had my trusted certified mechanic thoroughly inspect it to make sure it was ready to make such a long trip. He advised after inspection that there were NO ISSUES.

I realize that because the car is an older vehicle and does not have a newer diagnosis port that is common in newer vehicles, they appear to be guessing what the issues are rather than a true diagnosis.

When I tried to leave Tire Kingdom after all of this, an employee had left my lights on and drained my car battery dead. Disgusted with this entire experience, I went back inside and told them they needed to charge the battery and I would be back to pick up my car the next day.
They never called me to tell me the car was ready, so I went there, attempted to drive it home, and now the car is barely drivable. The very subtle "skip" has now turned into a car that can barely be driven on the road because it misfires so badly. The $800+ tune-up they gave me made the car drastically worse. Again, before bringing the car in for a flat tire, it ran fine and was inspected by my mechanic.

I immediately called Tire Kingdom to report this. Their response was for me to bring it back so the mechanic can look at it.
This car will be diagnosed by a third party independent certified mechanic to diagnose the current problem with the car and it will be compared to the results provided by Tire Kingdom. If there were unnecessary repairs, a misdiagnosed problem or if Tire Kingdom caused damage to this vehicle, I am contacting my attorney unless this situation is immediately rectified. The service I received from this company was horrendous at best.

Tire Kingdom wrong oil put in audi a3 quattro 2017 models

To Whom It May Concern:

On 6/5/2019 I visited two different Tire Kingdom service centers in Florida (Doral and Pembroke Pines locations) to receive a scheduled oil change for my Audi A3 Quatro Sedan 2017 model. Both locations confirmed that the Tire Kingdom Corporate System states that this car model should receive 0w20 engine oil. That is incorrect. I confirmed with Audi Corporate and several Audi service centers that this model Audi should only receive 5w40 full synthetic engine oil.

I happened to call Audi to check with my car warranty after dropping off my car at the Doral location to be serviced and I was informed that if any oil other than the 5w40 oil is placed in my vehicle that I will lose my warranty. I immediately called the Doral Tire Kingdom and told them to halt all work and not to place the 0w20 in my car.
At the Tire Kingdom Doral location, I was informed by Roberto that the oil had been drained already on my vehicle but he refused to put the 5w40 oil in my vehicle because it went against Tire Kingdom Corporate System. The Doral location also stated that they always put the 0w20 oil in all model Audis like mine that are serviced at their center. I refused to have the oil change with the 0w20 oil and they returned my vehicle to me and I was not charged for any service at the Doral Center. Roberto said the autobody workers placed the same drained oil back in my vehicle, but I was told at the Pembroke Pines location that this is not possible and the 0w20 was probably put in my vehicle. Kevin at Tire Kingdom in Pembroke Pines (17203 Pines Blvd location) was very diligent and researched the Audi manufacturer recommendation directly. He agreed that the required oil for my vehicle is the 5w40 oil contrary to what it said in his Tire Kingdom Corporate System that indicated 0w20 for my vehicle. He authorized the oil change with the 5w40 thankfully and I was charged for the service. I contacted Tire Kingdom Corporate and Bryan Juzwiak admitted the fault and stated they will correct the error in their system. Both Tire Kingdom service centers also admitted the fault.

I expect to be duly compensated for this significant error in the Tire Kingdom system and for the increased work, time, and distress this caused me to bring this to Tire Kingdom's attention, acknowledgement, and to receive the correct service for my Audi A3 Quatro Sedan 2017. This could have completely broken my vehicle engine, put me and my family's safety at risk, and put me at significant additional financial cost had I not insisted that the Tire Kingdom Service Center System was incorrect and had allowed the service center to proceed with with the oil change with the 0w20. Tire Kingdom will be held responsible for any engine issues or related issues my vehicle suffers as a result from this discrepancy had any oil other than 5w40 been placed in my car by any Tire Kingdom Service Center. This has been quite an ordeal that I never expected to experience with a recognized business in the auto industry. As a repeat client, I expect Tire Kingdom to due their part to salvage my patronage and reinstate my faith in the competency of this company. I would appreciate it if one of Tire Kingdom's corporate representatives would reach out to me directly to rectify this issue and provide due compensation for this ordeal.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Alia W.

I contacted Tire Kingdom Corporate directly and I received compensation for my experience. I was also informed that Tire Kingdom Corporate is working on correcting their system. Most importantly I wish to communicate to Tire Kingdom that had I not pursued this discrepancy I would have lost my Audi Manufacturer Warranty and if anything happened to my vehicle as a result I would have been at added out of pocket expense. I appreciate the gesture from corporate and hope that the quality of service provided by this company will adhere to Auto Industry Standards. As a repeat customer at Tire Kingdom I look forward to continuing to receive exceptional quality and customer care services. I greatly appreciate the added effort Tire Kingdom Employees put in to rectifying this issue. I am especially thankful to Kevin at Pembroke Pines location (17203 Pines Blvd) who expressed exceptional customer service skills, knowledge and effort to take care of both my vehicle and me as a customer. Tire Kingdom evaporator replacement in tire kingdom cocoa store on 2/18/2019

I have to revert on my complaint about the damage caused on the dashboard of my Nissan Altima car when the Tire Kingdom Cocoa store replaced the evaporator located behind the dashboard, case 2001349/claim [protected].
On 5/31/2019, Sedgwick adjuster office concluded that there is no evidence that the damage was caused by the Tire Kingdom store.
The picture showed cracks filled with glue. did I glued the dashboard? Why? Also, during the replacement, the airbags control had been affected and the icon was blinking. Mr. Mike cut the signal, but the airbags could blow out at any time provoking a traffic accident. This observation was not taken in consideration.
So, in conclusion the only culprit is the damaged one!
Please, review my complaint and give a correct solution because is unfair to protect a nonprofessional store manager who can harm many customers and affect the public image of the institution.

My tire popped while I was driving. I was going 60mph. About 3 days ago I took the wheel to a tire kingdom location and I still haven't gotten an answer. I don't think it's fair that i have bought those tires months ago and I still have to pay them. I need an answer as soon as possible and if there's anyway I can get a replacement tire or some form of compensation that would be greatly appreciated. Tire Kingdom unauthorized services

I brought my 2012 Chevy Cruze to the Tire Kingdom on Lee Rd. in Winter Park because my check engine light was on. The manager, Chad Obermark had me sign paperwork stating that no work could be done without my authorization. When he called me to tell me it was the mass airflow sensor, he didn't mention any additional services and told me it was $508.00 plus tax. The only explanation he offered was that the part had to come from the dealer and that was the part and labor. When I picked the car up, the invoice showed charges for the part ($210.67), another part($124.99), a fuel system tune up ($109.99), an engine clean kit (40.00) tune up kit labor ($69.99), engine diagnostics ($124.99, $62.50 credited back) and a MAP sensor ($84.86, credited back). I didn't agree to all of that, my engine light is still on and just as I pulled in at home, the "check stabilitrack" light came on as well. I feel like I was taken advantage of in the additional costs that were not discussed and there is clearly still something wrong with my vehicle. I only paid and left so that I could retrieve my vehicle, as I obviously cannot trust these people.

If this is not made right, Tire Kingdom has lost my trust as well as my business and I intend to share this info with anyone and everyone I personally know and post it on social media and contact my consumer reporter on my local news station. Shame on them for not keeping that promise to not do work without my authorization and inflating the cost AND for returning my car with the engine light still on and apparently a new issue. I will be returning in the morning to discuss this with the manager and hope that if he doesn't make this right, your company will!

Tire Kingdom scammers! took my car to get checked because of a noise... shocked at what I was told!!

I took my SUV (2004 Chevy suburban) to tire kingdom in St Lucie west FL on 4/12/19 for them to look at and diagnose a squeaking noise coming from either the center or rear of my vehicle. I had already had 2 people tell me it was the u joints. so I made an appt. the mechanic put it up on the lift and I watched him look it over and proceed to call me over and tell me it is my shocks. Shocks? yes I was also shocked. I said are you sure its not the u joints? The 3 mechanics standing there proceeded to tell me you don't have u joints. What? how can that be when I have googled it, you tubed it ETC and had 2 others looked under and to my surprise... wow! U JOINTS. So I proceeded to go back to the counter with the other mechanic because he wants to give me my estimated on the shocks. Again I was SHOCKED! 803.00. LOL I LAUGHED and said oh ok and the whole time I was thinking what I was going to say in this complaint as I left. I have had other issues with them but figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt but this is just way to much. They are crooks and thought this blonde waking in was dumb, not this one guys!

I had gone at one time to get a tire rotation and guess what? I got home and noticed a couple days later 6 of my lug nuts were missing! when I called them they just said oh I don't what could of happened, they are not here and gave me the run around for months and kept saying they were going to order them for me. I am going to not only make this complaint today, I am going to BLAST THIS all over the internet, facebook, Instagram, ETC and let people know to watch out for tire kingdom crooks. I will not hold back and will make sure I get my point across. oh and by the way, this is a photo of one of the u joints for 2004 suburban and they are anywhere from 28.00 up to around 40.00.

Tire Kingdom damage to wheel incurred and refusal to return damaged wheel

Hi, recently (April 2019) I had a nail in my left rear tire and the tire was losing pressure so I took it to my nearby Tire Kingdom (Merritt Island Fl) whom I've done much business with over the years and they said "no problem, we'll have to take the tire off to install the patch/plug". I have New Wheels on my car so I asked 2 of the employees to come over and look at the wheel before they started in order to show them there were zero defects, and my expectation was that is remained that way, they looked the wheel over and agreed there were no defects. After the repair to the tire was made and the tire was reinstalled onto the wheel, and then onto the car I checked it over and noticed there was an area 1" long x ¼" wide that the PVD Black Chrome finish had been scraped off by the tire machine. Originally the tech said it was just grease but after further inspection, both he, and the other tech agreed it was a defect caused during the process. The Manager (Jack Figary) was not there to confer with so I left and returned the next day. He agreed they were responsible and they would order another wheel (never was the word "replacement" used). They (Zack?) ordered the wheel and it arrived 4/10/19. I just happened to call that day and Jack said the wheel was there and asked me to bring the car in @3pm on 4/11 because he did not trust the employees there at the time with the task. Herb was the employee of choice according to Jack. On 4/11/2019, Herb successfully dismounted the tire from "My" wheel and installed it on the new wheel Tire Kingdom procured and then reinstalled the assembly onto my car. When I went to pick up "My" wheel (in which "I" bought) the manager refused to let me take it. A conversation ensued in which I said it was not Tire Kingdoms wheel to keep, I bought it, not them. He argued and said he would have to ask his boss, Jack, about it and would not let me leave with "My" wheel. On 4/12/19, at 7:20 AM I visited the store and talked to Jack who did not know how to address the issue, so he called his superior, Zack Basseu?, who he referred to as his "DM" (District Manager?) and according to Jack, Zack said it was "policy" to keep the wheel. So, unless there is a written policy that specifically states that Tire Kingdom has the right to retain hardware it damages during services rendered, then Tire Kingdom does not have the right to retain my Wheel. Example, several years ago Tire Kingdom personnel damaged the exhaust on my wife's mini-van and they had me take it to Midas where they could not repair the exhaust, they had to order a new one for it. Upon completion of that Job I took the damaged muffler home with me, no questions were asked and no one from Tire Kingdom requested it, so, how is that scenario any different, "I" owned both pieces of my car, not Tire Kingdom.
Note that both Managers were Extremely Rude to me during the course of these discussions, and Both repeatedly said that I had already cost them over $250 out of their pockets, which I felt Very Offended by, since it was due to the incompetence of their very own employee that the incident occurred in the first place, nothing I did.
Also, there was nothing in writing to indicate this was in any way an "exchange" or "replacement", and there is no "core charge" or any other variable factored in, they simply needed to provide a new wheel because they damaged "mine".
Thank you.

Tire Kingdom alignment

I got my jeep lifted back in May 2016. I immediately went to Tire Kingdom and got a 3 year alignment plan. My last visit before today was last year. The guy that did my alignment was obviously upset about something. He was really rude. Regardless my jeep was serviced last with tire kingdom. After that visit I was told everything was good. I went in today and was told that my adjuster for my alignment was broken. The front desk guy tried to tell me that they told me this before which was false because it wasn't the same mechanic who worked on my jeep. I explained to him that it was a short bald angry Latino male that serviced my car and they instantly knew who I was talking about. I told him no one has ever told me this was broken and no one else but tire kingdom had any reason to touch that piece. It didn't make sense that he remembered that. They told me everything was good on my last visit. Otherwise it would've been avoided like it was today. I don't feel like I should be solely responsible for this break in a part of my vehicle that tire kingdom had access to for the last 2.5 years. The manager saying that they told me this last time was what made me realize that something wasn't right. Doesn't make any sense to do an alignment if it was broken already. I think they knew it was broken from the past and didn't tell me anything till now. Im sending a couple of pictures of what it should look like and what it looks like now. Whatever tool they used stripped the grooves on the adjuster. This is not normal wear and tear. Please and Thank you for your time.
