i put my account on pause. i have been in process of changing dba names and finishing up old business under the old franchise name i had bought. the bank accounts under americas best choice are closed. somehow thumbtack started sending me direct leads again. i changed the name on thumbtack, to all american windows . the phone number is the same. but until i open new accounts at the bank under the new name . i dont want leads. but i dont want to completely loose my thumbtack account, and standing. so when i start taking leads again, it wont be from the ground up.
please stop sending the old dead bank account bills for leads i am currently not taking.
Desired outcome: acount paused, until i request it be turned on. any charges , for these latest leads, removed . thanks.
Taking money from my account for my account for poor leads
So far I have been charged over a $150 for leads. Out of those leads I only received one that I actually spoke with. I have called several times left messages text messages on thumbtack and still no response to from these leads. I've tried several times trying to call or get in contact with someone and no one answers no 1 responds back.. Are there any employees at work here? Please resolve this issue
Desired outcome: I would like my money refunded . I do not mind paying for good or good leads. I don't mind paying money to make money. But I will not continue to just give away my money with nothing in return.
Company itself
I am a pro photographer that works for thumbtack, they send me leads which intern I pay for. Lately they send me leads and the customer never gets the respond. I know that because when I call the customer they tell me nobody has replied to the request, on top of that some of them have even been shut out of the system and can't re-enter. After they have contacted 4 other pro's like myself, (and we have to pay $40 EACH for nothing!) and we can't even complain about it!
The biggest problem with that is it thumbtack is virtually impossible to get ahold of. Thumbtack has no customer support, no phone number you can call, you make a complaint you get a computer response, your complaint is denied.
Thumbtack used to be a good company but without a true technical support team I wouldn't waste your money.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response.
Greaves Group refuses a refund, going to BBB
I hired the Greaves Group, Snellville, Ga to repair lift on my reclining love seat.
The tech seemed not to know what he was doing and called office several times for help. This loveseat has lumbar and head rest controls along with the lift. Tech decided it was the motor. Kerry sent me an email link with the part and company to order part from. I ordered part from Hong Kong for $170. The tech came back when the part came in. Motor was not the correct one, was way too short. I asked him to check the wand, which I had asked him to check before. Come to find out it was the wand and did not need motor. I talked to Kerry at the Greaves Group and asked him for a resolution for this. This company will not take returns/ He said I ordered the wrong part or the company sent the wrong one. I sent Kerry a copy of the receipt, the email he sent me with the part to order and a picture of the part I got. They both matched. I asked for a refund for the $25 service call that I paid for a misdiagnosis and the $170 for part I was told to order. After sending him all the information, Kerry will not answer emails about getting a refund. Also, left me hanging with no repair.
Desired outcome: Refund of $195
fake and fraud
It's a waste of time and money, I highly recommend you to take your business elsewhere. It's hard to find a job, most of the ads are fake as well as people who post it.
I have spent so much on this website and got nothing instead. I am convinced they are very unreliable.

they refused to help and protect me
I needed some home jobs to be done so I went online and found www.thumbtack.com. I found one contractor and hired them. That company just took my money and disappeared! When I contacted Thumbtack and complained they told I was a liar and protected the company! These people want only money and they absolutely don't care about people! I already contacted the police and provided all the necessary information. Too bad that Thumbtack refused to help, so basically these people will be treated like accomplice.
thumbtack has businesses that are never checked still working even though their LLC has been shut down by the State. For not paying taxes. It's illegal to have such business to act as a business, yet they do not double check anything. Not only that Jbs is using other pictures and reviews. they do nothing about it.

As a business owner, I promote my business on Thumbtack. I think it's ridiculous that I have a billing question and can't even speak to a human being! My card is being charged excessively and I need to know why. I've attempted to contact them several times and I am not getting anywhere
I am not getting emails or texts after I set that up in settings. The only way I knew, 2 days later, that I had a PAID lead was by going to the site. We pros should be immediately informed of leads by text and email.
I don't have any clue why my account was closed. It isn't fair that someone gets banned without ANY explanation. It was closed 4/26/23.

This evening I received a charge from Thumbtack in the amount of $32.75. I never authorized the charge nor do I use this service to get customers. I’m requesting an refund immediately I have sent the request through
the website. I’m offended that this company would just take money from anyone.
i went to thumbtack to help grow my business.i was receiving so may texts for a service that i do not do i told the at least 50 times to remove that service but i still get texts. i have spent at least $50.00 that i will never get back.I have deleted them.They lie and get away with it.
I used Thumbtack - Consider it done to find a hardwood floor refinisher.
I located a 11 times 5 star reviewed company called DLS flooring on Thumbtack’s website. Thumbtack says they’ve been background checked and vetted, licensed and insured. I found DLS Flooring at 110 East 177th street apt -1-F Bronx, NY [protected].
DLS Flooring came and destroyed my floors. The floor finishing has blotches, drips, different sheens, wood stain scrubbed away, even an “X” in a closet. Damages will cost $6870 to repair.
I contacted Thumbtack on more than three occasions and the only thing they would do is to directed me to their resolution center.
Thumbtack is responsible because they presented to consumer false information. They say this company is 5 star rated and reviewed 11 times, when its obvious this pro has no experience whatsoever.
Thumbtack says this pro is background checked and vetted, when I found out this company is not licensed or insured.
