Thrifty Foodsworm in canned salmon

I bought a can of Thrifty's canned wild salmon. (no salt added) As we were eating we pulled a 3 inch long whitish opaque worm out of our mouths. It was about the size of a round toothpick in diameter with a rubbery texture. We contacted Thrifty's head office and recieved an apology but no compensation. I wont be eating fish for a long while and Thriftys has lost at least one customer for their lack of compensation. What a horrific experience.
