The Salvation Army USA meeting the needs of the community

I am writing because I am so disheartened over reaching out to Salvation Army in my need of emergency and received no help. I called on last Friday to the Lagrange office, and the recording informed that phone interviews will be conducted on Monday, September 16 from 11-12pm est. I proceeded to call second after second and only received a busy signal that sometimes followed by the phone ringing but going into a fax signal. I proceeded to get in my car and go to the local office and was informed that she is not taking walk-ins. I want to know why the phone never was answered? Where are the funds going for the emergency assistance that is suppose to be provided. The Salvation Army broadcast and promote helping the community and love Jesus. Where is the help? I want to know. I am hard working American citizen, who fell into a hardship, and I really needed the help for me shelter for my children and I.

The Salvation Army USA a donation problem

I accidentally left something important in the side pocket of a purse I donated. I went down to try and get it and the guy with the key to the bin wasn't there and wasn't known when to come back. Now I have to buy another one if he doesn't show up today. Why can't there be a spare key at the front desk for problems like these? Last time donating or buying there. A bunch of ignorant [censored]s!

The Salvation Army USA drop off customer service

I've been a local Key Largo resident for over thirty years. I've always bargain hunted and believe in recycling good used items for others to use. I've donated items to this Salvation Army for years and take pride in my community. I don't ever make reviews or submit complaints but after my experience today I am appalled. I am sad to say I will never be donating or shopping here again and I have told all my neighbors and friends about this situation that left me offended. I was donating some designer clothes and used household items in great condition. I pulled up in my vehicle and a truck was unloading a couch and an Asian armoire picked up from someone's house. A guy working in the back with a long pony tail was yelling at the guy on the truck to throw the couch into the trash. As the items were being unloaded from the truck, I started to unload my items from my car and bring them to the drop off area. As I was carrying my items, the guy with the pony tail hollers over to me and says, "Hey let me look at that" loudly. I say sure and tell him it is some designer clothes. "I need to see if they have mildew" he said. Mildew? Why on earth would anyone presume I would bring designer clothes with mildew? It gets worse. "What else do you got there?" he asked, agitated, waving his hands to my car. I told him some household goods. He said go ahead. I kindly asked where he would prefer me to donate my items and he told me to place them on the table. I went back to my car to get more items and when I came back I saw my items in a trash can. I asked him if this was a trash can and if he trashed my items already, he said "Um, maybe." Maybe? It is yes or no. I am donating quality items. It seems this man here does not care for what he is doing. Prior visit to this Salvation Army this same guy with the pony tale gave my younger daughter attitude and his language was inappropriate. I am disappointed that you hired someone like this to represent the nature of giving. This man has issues and is the reason my family will not be coming here again despite living here for years. I took my items and left for home. I will be donating elsewhere in the future, such as the Marc store for ReMarcAble Citizens in Tavernier.

The Salvation Army USA case manager

Hello,

My name is Emilio Lopez. My case manager Beverly Smith has been harassing, assaulting and attempting to purge on my family because she is attempting to gain assests from my families estate. She has teamed up with the Temple Police department and as well as local gang affiliated members to hurt my family. I have contacted the FBI, The department of Justice, The BBB and as well as other affiliated Departments. Im very frustrated, frightened and misunderstood but have evidence to prove this true and factual. Thank you.

The Salvation Army USA very rude cashier name gladyss

On Thursday. I saw some old books. One caught my attention. I was looking at it. Gladyss got very angry ripped out of my hands & said it's not for sale. I understood that. Wanted to look at it. She ripped that book 2 more times out of my hands! Thought she was going to tear that book. When I comfronted her about her behavor. She we are even; you made me angry of not taking NO for a answer. I told her if I did the same where I've used to work; I've been canned. She wasn't apologizing & just keeps justifying her behavior. I spoken to a police officer over the phone to see that was considered assault. It's not. The officer said she'd shouldn't do that & that's wrong. I'll no longer shop there. I've given that place chances. Sandy the mng. in the past refused to sell me stuff. Or put a crazy # on it & sell it way cheaper to someone else. She supports the antisocial attitudes there. She wasn't there that day. She'd would've backed her up. I've dealt with a lot of very rude employees there over the years. Will never shop at any Salvation Army again! I was a good customer!

The Salvation Army USA litigation payments

Salvation Army was sued by William of England and I as a cousin was a party in the case. Salvation Army has not fulfilled there court ordered obligation to pay on this law suit. They still owe William money and the money that they owed me Julie Ann Nolting who was a recent client at 30 SW 2nd Ave Portland Oregon, they distributed to the RA's and Office personnel like it was a reward system for verbally abusing me as a client. I am requesting restitution on the law suit and asking that you pay me and my cousin William as soon as possible. The harm and abuse that I suffered needs prosecution and there game to pay even clients who would steal, harass, and hurt me physically went way to far. There continued insults as to statements like 'I want to see you sue us again cause we get paid to pay you and keep the money for ourselves.' This is outrageous and incorrect behavior for any RA or Official of that Organization. I would like to be contacted in writing regarding this filing at: Julie Ann Nolting PO Box 38 Gresham Oregon 97030. Thank you please also send all payments for nonpayment to me that are mine from the law suit and pay up with William of England.

The Salvation Army USA co worker and the back stabbing and lies

I have worked at the salvation army for almost 4 and a half years, i have had 2 different bosses. I started with chris west then i had chris street now i have chris west back. since Lt. chris West has been back he has only been to the store twice in a yaer and a half. We do not get supplies and my co worker is outside smoking every 20 minutes and she leaves the store a mess. I contacted my boss on 8/14/2019 and told him who i had helping me which is a gentleman that has been placed at the store by Vermont Associates we cleaned up the store the best we could in the 4 hours we were there and i get a text from my boss this morning about the way the store looked and that i could not leave it a mess for the next shift. if we had the supplies we needed like trash bags that we end up buying because we are told we are to reuse the one that come in but most of the time we can not because they are torn because they have to much things in them. We do not get cleaning supplies we have to buy them also. My co worker has a person with her everyday from 9:30 to 3. This person works with me on Monday but every day tuesday through friday he is with my co worker and when i come in for my shift which is close all the time i have to clean up outside and the front of the store inside. i like my job and the customers but why should i be the only one that is cleaning up the store. We get so many donations that our storage area is full and we have no room, we get truck when they feel like showing up. if we had truck twice a week and the dumpster emptied twice a week we could do job more like our boss wants us to and if we got supplies like we should and not have spend our own money to get what we need to do our job. My co worker let people in the back room that is not approved to be at the store. i do not want to get into trouble for submitting a complaint because my co worker told me if either one of made a complaint about our boss we would not have our job. you can contact me at [protected] via a text or a phone call I my not answer if I don't know the number but I will get back in touch.

The Salvation Army USA treatment by intern

Caroline Armstrong made rude remarks while I was seeking shelter from domestic abuse. When I went to file a complaint she sat and laughed the entire time as I cried in frustration and mistreatment. I'm not a confrontational individual. They had me sleep on a mat in the hallway after being given the option to sleep in a bed or on the mat. I clearly vocalized that I would take the bed. Once I finished dinner I was told that they gave my bed away and that I had to sleep on a mat in the hallway.

The Salvation Army USA rude employee

This happened 8/01/19 I dropped off two bags of clothes not realizing they were open or that it was illegal to drop and leave. The man told me and pointed to the side of the trailer, I am pretty sure nobody reads the sides of your trailers, anyway he looked at me in such a way he actually scared me, explaining a situation is understandable but being rude and intimidating is uncalled for.

The Salvation Army USA employee complaint

This submission is in regards to, the unprofessional behavior and attitude of an employee Ms. Kevyana Moore. Whom is an Social Service Administrative Assistant within Savation Army. This is an attempt to enourage Ms. Moore to contiously have an professional presence in all endevours. The behavior and attitude she explained was deplorable towards others. The speach and tone displayed are both condisending and contemptuous; which appears impertinent. Although she stated she is an fairly new employee, this is not an adequate excuse for lack of etiquette and immaturity. What happen the misdion of being a Christian being motivated by the love of GOD. Somehow she seems to have a disconnect with GOD and doesn't treat others with GOD's love. Kindness, repect, and generosity is the Christian way. What happen to, "Theres no reward equal to that of doing the most good to the most people...". As Christians we thrive to better ourselves, therfore it appears Ms. Moore can benefit from behavioral skills and sensitivity training.

The Salvation Army USA unethical behavior

Manager of this store took pictures of me and accused me for stealing. She was sitting in this vehicle taking my picture with her phone. After this accusation of theft I don't feel comfortable walking by or visiting the store or walking around in the town. I don't know who she is showing these pictures to or why. This needs to stop. That is harassment.

The Salvation Army USA Donation center

I had a lot of high quality donations I wanted to provide to the Salvation Army. I arrived and was greeted by an employee that would not get up off her chair. As I started to walk in the donation she began to bark orders at me and was very rude to myself and my mother. She proceeded to bark orders at us telling us where to put things. I was shocked. I told her I will take my donations elsewhere because you were not even nice. She could have cared less. I have donated to plenty Salvation Army centers before and have never been treated like this. I can't imagine I'm the only person to complain about said employee. She is not a good representation of what you stand for and certainly should not be employed by the donation center. I tried to scoop up whatever donations I had already put in the bin and went to another donation center of the road who was much kinder. I am so appalled that an employee would treat anyone this way who is simply trying to I arrived and was greeted by an employee that would not get up off her chair. The Salvation Army USA general complaint

To whom it may concern,
I will start off by saying I don't like to complain and I thing highly of the Salvation Army and all the good they do for our communities in the US.

My discontent is with the general conditions in the stores. I used to shop more often but came to realize the dust and stale musty air was really bothering me. When I would leave the stores I would feel dirty and my nose and eyes would be itching & running. The stores are old, carpeting old, terrible air inside. The Goodwill has done a somewhat better job of upgrading their stores. I think the Salvation Army stores would get more business if you would clean up the stores. Also, I often see clothes that have under arm stains and are torn and dirty. The items should be tossed out that are in awful shape. Everything smells musty. Please consider these suggestions as I would love to shop more but refuse to anymore. I'm sure I am not the only person who feels this way.

Most Sincerely,
Arlene Starr
Southern California resident

The Salvation Army USA furniture pick - up

I waited three weeks for pick-up. It was complicated for me because the pickup was from a nursing home so knowing pick-up time was very important. When the men got there I was told they don't take furniture. This was a very good dresser made of solid wood, not like the stuff you buy today. Anyway, the point is I was never told when I made the apt that they did not take furniture. I did not find that out until the men arrived. Had I known I would not have wasted my time. Not only that I was very disappointed as I have always preferred using Salvation Army anytime I needed to donate. Now I have a sour taste in my mouth. In the future, please tell people you do not take furniture.Thank you.

The Salvation Army USA feeding program

They are banning and calling the police on folk with made up lies. I have seen where majority of the homeless starving community have this issue. Someone needs to come speak with the community about this. The workers family whom are all obesse comes and eats the hot food that in suppose to be for the unfortunate but they will get banned. So there will be more room for another fat family member. Their should be a whole new crew there and all those hungry people allowed back and I'm sure the outcome will not be the same. They are using their power to reject people of a person ight to a hot meal to feed themselves. Ask around the workers are all in cahoots with this and this has been going on for aong time with this work crew who are very heartless to the needy who just needs a hot meal. I will go to the News stations after writing this.
