I purchased an item paying cash on Black Friday from the Home Depot. I then found the same item offered in a package type deal with additional tools I was interested in for slightly more money. I wanted to return the product and replace it with a similar item with additional tools included for a more expensive set. When I tried to return the item I realized I had misplaced the receipt.
Home Depot then requested my DL and then denied the return based on information supplied by The Retail Equation. Somehow I am on a secret black list and will be denied returns at numerous other stores as well.
1st- I was never advised that I was being placed on this black list nor does anyone have valid or legal reasoning to place me on such a list. I frequent Home Depot and Lowes often and probably spend about $45, 000 a year on tools and supplies. I run my own construction business and will occasionally return unused items. I have never had such an issue nor have I fraudulently returned anything...ever. I would like to be removed from this list immediately.
Return declined- Transaction # [protected]-296-THD - $161.67

Yesterday I went to Home Depot to return several items, which were purchased no more than 2 weeks ago. And to my surprise, although they were purchased with the credit card, they did not appear in that account. Therefore, the lady asked me for the license. to make the return (something I don't know if it will be legal for a Retail Store to ask a customer for a Federal ID Since I realized that my License was not accepted to make that return I am quite surprised since I always make returns for my work We own several houses for rent here in Clermont as well as in Orlando, a total of 32 houses that have to be maintained every day and as a result of that many products and items are bought at Home Depot and at Ace and Lowes I think we buy every year more than $50,000.00 dollars in total only at Home Depot And what surprises me the most is that for a simple return that does not reach $150.00 dollars The next time better I will visit Lowes and so on I will avoid these problems Be very careful Keep all receipts Because it happened to me that I am a daily customer of Home Depot the same can happen to anyone. I bought some electrical outlets and switches rated for Aluminum wire after a period of time I realize I still had some leftover so I thought I could retune them upon returning them the person stated that I could not get a return on these and then indicated that I got blocked out from returns. at this point I said I would keep them for future use, Ion 4/18 21 I attempted to return a fill valve for a toilet and was denied I was pretty upset that this happened I was given no reason as to why I am a frequent buyer at HD and would like to find out why and will this be a continued issue. I am about to end my business with HD please explain if this will ever end
Thank You

I purched a few items on 10/12/2020 @ 1:08pm with cash and a birthday giftcard with a total of $389.15. under the bar code on reciept # [protected]/12/2020 6362. my chasier was Hannah. Today on 12/9/2020 @ 2;07 pm I went to the home depot to return the 20 v atomic oscillating tool and a dewalt cordless band saw that was never used and still in the orginal box with the reciept because the battery did not fit my dewalt charging pack. and my recieppt states return pollicy is 180 days and returns expires 4/10/2021 and which covid your return policy can be exstended. my cashier frances had it all ready to be returned then she had to confirm that I was the one who made the oringial purchace with my drivers license . she scanned my ID and then told me my return was denied. and handed me a returned denied receipt. why was my return denied? Why was it denied as soon as she scanned my id? why was I put on the "black list" to begin with? How can a return be denied when the reciept states 180 till return policy expired with items and reciept ? Can you please take me off the black list since i have not done anything to be on it in the first place nor was approched with a reason or told why i was black listed to begin with? this is defimation of charater and basically slander and makes me look like a bad person for a reason unknown. this is discrimination I am a loyal customer and own a construction company and buy a lot of merchandise and usually dont return anything. I would like to hear a ligenimate reason/ answer of why i cant make any returns and why i have been put on this unhuman {black list}. please and thank you. on my reciept from today there is a transaction ID # [protected]-716-THD with a total of $ 389.15. please get intouch with me asap.

I too was denied a return at Home Depot - the company that claims 'easy returns'. I had my receipts and would have been perfectly happy to get store credit since I'm always shopping there and am in the middle of a kitchen makeover but NO my return was denied. Like many others have commented, you are not warned when you buy something that you might not be able to return it. In some instances I even asked when purchasing an item if I could return it and was told 'yes' just to find out the answer is really NO! This is nuts! I have the items in perfect unused condition and receipts where I purchased them on my debit card (which is supposed to be the same as cash but can't return these standard shelf items? They're not special order, they're items the store still carries, I don't get it? I am reconsidering buying anything more from these stores if that's how they treat their customers who spend thousands at their store?!?!?!?

I too would like my name removed from this 'black list' as all of my returns were legitimate!

I bought last black Friday the circular saw with the amount of $175.00 but I see on cyber Monday online the circular saw same Makita brand which is much cheaper $131.00 . I try to return the expensive circular saw and told me I cant return because I am being denied a return. I don't understand this policy, I am working on the construction company and I bought a lot of materials at Home depot and sometime the unused materials I need to return it, but I dont know there is a limitation for the returns. I am requesting to remove me on the list of the denied a return.
