the paper doll is a wedding stationers. sarah from paper doll took a large amount of money from our family promising beautiful products vital for the smooth running of our wedding day, the goods arrived 4 days before the wedding packaged appaulingly, things were missing, damaged and we received some parts of another persons order.
to make things worse sarah was on holiday and not available to do anything...we had to spend out on repair items to make do as she was no where to be seen!
she has offered us £7.50 in compensation and apparantly doesnt see the problem :S she fails to see the distress and heartache caused. she had nearly £400 of our money postage cost £14.99 and she offered a mere £7.50 in compo...not even the cost of postage! how insulting. she has been nothing but dismissive in emails and clearly doesnt care as soon as she has your money.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT PART WITH YOUR MONEY... we have been left out of pocket and devestated.

Absolutely beautiful products. Just a shame the business is let down by the shocking customer service and attitude that comes with it.
I’m all for supporting small businesses and taken my issue up with them directly in order for them to help/rectify, but I have been nothing but fobbed off and spoken to like rubbish after spending over £500 with them. Very disappointing.
Take your custom to someone who actually cares.

P.s just reading through these complaints, looks like the attitude problem is a common theme!

I have seen 'the paper doll' at a number of wedding fairs I've attended. I've also visited her shop. Her work is good, but not of the high standard you would expect for the prices. Because my wedding was only a small order, she had a major attitude problem and kept trying to get us to order more items. The prices of her samples are disgusting to say the least, there are other companies nearer to her which offer free samples which are just as good. The price of our order kept going up each time we emailed her(when we could get a response). We're lucky that we didn't pay a deposit as we knew something wasn't quite right. I would avoid 'the paper doll' like the plague. Her attitude is awful, the standards of her customer service is non-existent and she might as well not bother with any contact details as she does not get back to you. As Welshman74 said "you have been warned".

We ordered our wedding stationary from Paperdoll on the strength of having seen some of her work and we were impressed, we visited her shop which was in the process of being decorated and shown some samples. We ordered "Save The Dates" in July 2012 for a delivery date of Sept 2012, these were a week late being ready, we ordered Day and Evening Invites in Dec 2012 with a delivery date of Feb 2013, these were 4 weeks late and finally we ordered favour boxes, a table plan and table names with a menu on the back in May 2013, these were 2 weeks late and delivered in a B&Q Car Park after a day of visiting her shop, countless texts, getting a back up plan in place 2 days before our wedding on the 7th Sept and there was no menu on the reverse of the table names. Each time our complaint has been met with an attitude, very poor customer service and a general lack of communication. She also overcharged us from the original quote for the favour boxes etc. So why continue ordering from her? Well we wanted to continue the theme we had and if I'm honest her work is very good, the only thing which lets Sarah and Paperdoll down is very poor customer service, late delivery, a poor attitude and poor communication. You have been warned.

I ordered samples from Sarah 'The paper doll' and was given a 2 week deliver time. After 4 weeks I emailed her and had no reply, I sent 3 further emails before she replied and said she was sending them out then. I had moved house so gave her the new address but they never turned up. I emailed Sarah again but with no reply and no answer on their telephone number either. I had to open a case with paypal so I would not loose my money and it was only then Sarah contacted me. She offered a refund but I told her I still really wanted the samples. She didnt reply again and I have had no further contact from her. She is obviously able to pick and choose what work she wants to do and what she doesnt - although she will still take your money. I would avoid her at all costs as she is ignorant and unreliable.

It, s disgusting what some people will do to get money back. They have obviously used everything and then complained afterwards. I have used this company and her work is stunning .

June 2012 I have never had such Poor service, lack of communication and been lied to with regards to when items were meant to be dispatched. I know I am not the only one. Please, save yourself any stress especially before your wedding and try another supplier.
Wish I had read the reviews before buying from this joke of a 'supplier'
