I had been receiving that lottery letter from UK and fraud letters about Job vacancies that was offering high salary. Think before you signed any document. Important documents such as Passport and bank account number should not be sent if you are not sure if the Job and company really exist. Be wise as Serpent but be humble as a dove.

Hey guys take this tip - Unless you have a friend or relative who is already working for TEXACO or any such company, dont trust them!
The Internet is a great blessing, but it is a place where one can get duped and deceived very easily. For instance that cute girl you think you are chatting with could be an old ugly man in his eighties. You dont really know who you are dealing with. So tread very very cautiously.
There was one guy who 'fell in love with this beautiful teenager who wanted to marry him. So this guy sold his house and everything and boarded a flight to meet this 'dreamgirl' only to later find out that she was a prison inmate in her sixties. She had emailed him a photo of some teen idol claiming that that was her picture. What a tragedy.
My advice- DONT TRUST ANYONE ON THE NET. Double check every offer you get as to whether it is genuine.
Remember, free cheese is only found in a mouse trap!!

I'm sorry but this is not a genuine offer. Chevron does not make job approaches or offers in the way you describe.

If you are interested in possible job opportunities with Chevron please visit www.careers.chevron.com

Please also note the following alert on job offer scams:

    Fictitious Job Offer Scam

Individuals will claim they are under contract with Chevron or a subsidiary to locate prospective employees for work on projects.

These offers usually are sent via email and will typically advise the victims they either have been hired by the company or may obtain employment with the company, and for a fee (the amount varies from $100 to as much as several thousand dollars), the individual will process the victim's employment papers, tender offers, job applications and work permits. Victims are usually requested to send their fees, via a personal check or a money order, to a post office box either in the United States or another country. In some instances, victims are promised or receive checks to cover relocation expenses. Such promises and/or checks are not made or generated by Chevron or in any way associated with Chevron.

This particular kind of activity is called Advance Fee Fraud or 419 Fraud. Chevron does not seek fees for securing positions with the company from either prospective employees or contractors. These are not legitimate Chevron job offers.

If you should receive such an offer, we ask that you report the matter to the police.
