Tepperman's chatham teppermans customer service

I bought a couch from them that was $1000 on a plan and 4 months later they had it on sale for $400. I asked to see if I could have it switched to that deal but they told me no because it's been over 3 months. I was furious.
Fast forward to when I pay it all off I go in to look for a mattress and am told they are denying me credit even though I consistently made my payments on time (and more).
I was there with my family so I decided to just look for a budget mattress but when the lady was showing us around she started being a unprofessional jerk to my daughter by telling her to "take this seriously" when she didn't like the first 3 mattresses she showed. My daughter knew what she wanted and had told the lady before what she was showing wasn't it. It upset me and my daughter as it was already a bad day with one of our pets dying.
We left right after and will not be going back to Teppermans. Such horrible "customer service". You do not treat people with such disrespect. We found the exact mattress she was looking for at a different mattress outlet with ease and polietness.

Tepperman's couch and loveseat with three year insurance purchased

We purchased a loveseat and couch from this company and bought extended insurance. It broke once and was covered under manufacturer because it was within a year. It broke again (three months after the year) and Teppermans will not honour their extended insurance. We have to pay to have it fixed. We have been repeat customers but no more. They are dishonest and cheap!

Tepperman's security - performance protection plan-powered by w3 solutions

We called about for customer service on our Electrolux washer leaking water at the front of the macine. I We knew we have a 5 year extended warranty coverage and we felt it should be covered. I get an email later in the afternoon from Mario, the judicator, basically diagnosing the issue, denying the claim to replace the front load seal, all without even sending a service technician to have a look.
According to the judicator Mario and his Manager Jeremy, seals are not a mechanical part and is not covered on this plan.
Here is what their plan states:

This Plan pays for parts and labour for functional parts ; functional parts are those that are critical to the performance of the product's essential function; non functional parts are those not critical but not limited to knobs, handles or cosmetic parts. We will repair or replace the unit or any parts thereof as required, subject to these terms and conditions.

These people are breaking their contract and Tepperman's needs to step up and deal with this violation. This defective is critical to the operation of the machine. If it wasn't, they would build these washers without the seal.
I haven't got no where with anyone concerning this washer. It really shows how much they care about customer satisfaction.
I hope the sales people realize that promoting these extended plans are lies.
Another lesson learned.

I am having the same problem now with the Walker Group. It is not worth the purchase of the extended warranty. When the Walker Group gives you a run around the whole time you're trying to make a claim. They're filled with horrible judicators that don't know how to do their job. I also won't be buying from tepperman's for this reason extended warranty sucks

Tepperman's customer service and damaged products

Hello,

I am looking to speak with someone that can assist me with some customer service issues or a manager that will take the time to hear out my concerns.

My boyfriend and I just bought a home end of August and we have quite a few rooms to fill. We wanted a one stop shop that would make this fun and easy. It has been everything but fun and easy.

We have purchased furniture at the Teppermans in London, Ontario on Wharncliffe road and the experience from the start has not been great.I am wanting someone to take the time to fix these issues instead of passing them off.

It started with one of the Sales Reps there saying "do not shop anywhere else in town as we are the best and we wont be beat" he went on saying "talk to me and I will give you good deals and I have worked here for over x amount of years and I will get you a good deal".

After spending almost 3 hours in the store picking out dining room table, coffee tables and couch set the Sales Rep did up our invoice to take to the front with zero deal on the invoice. My boyfriend mentioned him saying how he would give us a deal and that we just spent close to 5, 000 and no deals.

My boyfriend asked if he was not going to give us a deal like he kept going on and on about how about waiving the $80 delivery fee to where the Sales Rep said "check with the girls at the front"

We took the invoice to the front and I am uncertain if this was someone new or this girl was very nervous but she did not seem to know how to do her job and pretty much laughed at us when we asked to waive the delivery fee.

We paid the invoice in FULL, I will add, and set up our account for delivery. The account was set up under my boyfriends name with his cell number on the account and my cell phone number as a primary contact number. My boyfriend is at a job where it is not easy to answer the phone. Since this day they have continued to call his cell phone, we called and asked them to remove his number as it seemed it was too hard for anyone to read which number to call. Teppermans to this day has called his number 7 times and everyone keeps saying we will fix it. It has not been fixed and I even talked with Omar (store manager) and he said he would fix this to where they called another 2 times after.

On day of first delivery- our sofa was damaged, dining room table had a chip in the leg and a coffee table was missing a magnet on the door completely. After I called in about these damages they told us someone would contact us back to fix these issues within the day. After no one returning our calls we drove over to the store to speak with someone about the issues and to order another coffee table that we needed.

We spoke with Omar about the difficult time we have had and that the experience has been nothing but stressful. Omar did listen and took the time to give us a discount on our coffee table we ordered. He assured us that moving forward it would be a good experience.

We arranged for all the repairs to be delivered the following Saturday while we were at the store. Again every phone call to us was to the wrong number. Saturday came for delivery and the Sofa came damaged again... the tech chipped my door on the coffee table repairing the magnet that was missing and the new coffee table that came had a chip on the leg as well. Driver markered it and said that it looked good as new.

I called Omar (manager of Teppermans London) who needs to learn to not talk over his customers during phone conversations. To let him know about the issues and that you guys need to stop calling the wrong number. Omar was very rude this time around. He kept talking over me saying it was just a little mistake. A mistake is something that happen 1-2 times, not 7-8 times. When Omar was refusing to help I asked for his manager who he said was Josh Miller. I left a voicemail for Josh Miller on Friday, September 28th and I still have yet to hear from him. I have called back 3 times and the girls at reception say hes busy with a customer or on the phone.

I'm not sure how to get Teppermans London to take care of these issues and do something about the horrible experience we have had.

I would like some type of compensation.

Tepperman's refrigerator bad boy furniture

I went shopping for a new refrigerator on tuesday I put money down to tepoermans to buy a beautiful refrigerator there! As I left I thought i'd run over and just check out bad boy furniture! I looked for a salesman a young man/kid helped me I have a picture of the size I needed I showed him it! I don't carry a tape measure he does walked around seen this fridge I said oh I like this he's like yeah will it fit yep no problem so I ran next door to teppermans! Got my 400$ back from them cancelled my fridege! Then ran back to bad boy! And put 1000$ on my bill! I asked him again he said yes! Ok great sold! Then they called me 3times on wed are you coming in to pay yep at an appt be there soon. One called hung up and not even 10 min later another person from there called to ask me are you coming? Hindsight I should have cancelled my order there just for all the pestering phone calls! I literally have a picture witha the sizes I need I was assured it was the right one! Now it's been delivered and doesn't fit so it has to go back now i'm told i'm gonna lose 25% of my money! Restocking fee! Are you kidding me! My husband just died last month I dont need this bs!?! I showed everything properly! I literally have a picture of what I needed! Plus I also wanted to buy 2 couches coffee and end tables! Plus a 70inch tv so it wasnt just the fridge and out I went! How can you charge a 25% restocking fee when this isnt my fault not even close! Your taking ppls money im now a widow with 2 girls 11 and 13yrs!? Train your staff properly,! Are sales that bad that you have to take 25% restocking fee on someone!? The worst company i've ever ever dealt with! I knew it 9 yrs ago when I bought a washer dryer! I should have never gone in there your company had lost a huge sale from me! Of everything I was gonna purchase!? Disgusting! I still have a funeral to pay for! So again thank you! I guess we can go to the food bank for the next few month's!

Tepperman's tepperman windsor

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to complain about Tepperman's selling malpractice to have customers sign off on documents and options by misleading them.
I purchased several items on March 12, 2017 when they had a "big sale" going on and financed it through Tepperman's. As there was a long line in cashier, we had to wait for about 20 minutes. After getting to cashier and asking for finance. They gathered my information and asked to wait while they are processing, probably checking credit and filling other forms.
Meanwhile our cashier started helping other customers due to long line. When they called me back to sign forms, they have highlighted areas for me to sign; apparently to facilitate the process now. I was not given time to read through and asked to sign highlighted area as they were mandatory for financing.
After several months, I checked the bill and noticed they have charged me for an optional coverage by highlighting the signature area and implying it is mandatory for me to sign to finance my purchase.
I contacted their store couple of times and asked for reversing the process and cancel charging my account due to their malpractice which they have not accepted. I could have this option canceled at the end but they have refused to void charges.
I am filing this complaint so that they would reverse optional charged of about 500$ on my account caused by their unprofessional and misconduct conduct.

Tepperman's samsung dryer.. 3.5 years old

I bought a Samsung washer/dryer 3.5 years ago from teppermans in London. 2.5 weeks ago the dryer is making a scraping noise when it runs so I stopped using it. I have been fighting for 2 weeks to get it fixed.. I bought the extended warranty as well. walker group is the company who handles the warranty and at first, didn't even want to send anyone out to look at it, because what I told them over the phone, they said doesn't qualify for a mechanical issue? how does one make that assessment over a phone about whether its mechanical or not, when I described the metal on metal scraping sound when its drying clothes.. after 11 days, a technician finally came out, turned on the dryer, no clothes in it, ran 2 mins and said he would order parts and be back.. I got an email from walker group today denying the claim saying it was wear and tear.. nobody has taken a screw out of the dryer at all, or ran it with clothes in it. how can someone say whats wrong with it, without actually looking inside the dryer body itself? I complained to teppermans and they said its walker group's call and teppermans won't do anything about it.. a 3.5 year old, $1000 dryer, with extended warranty, and I can't even get someone to take it apart to actually diagnose the problem? well done teppermans.. I spent thousands of dollars there but will be taking my business elsewhere.. hands down, the worst customer service I have ever dealt with and I have all the emails to back it up. Unacceptable to say the least and they couldn't care less.. They also said I can get someone to come fix it, and if it does turn out to be mechanical, I may be able to get re-imbursed.. .isn't that what they should have done in the first place? was actually looked at the problem to make the determination of what's wrong? and I had to spend $38 in "extra mileage" before they would schedule an appointment to come to my house.. I don't understand how I am responsible for that as well.

Tepperman's credit builder plan

In August of 2015 I purchased a mattress on the credit builder plan, its a 36 month payment plan.
Fast forward to March 2018 I went into Teppermans to pay off the remaining amount, and I was told that the term was actually 48 months adding an additional $900+ to my balance! Their customer service is completely useless and lucky for me i save all my paperwork since I will likely have to go to small claims court in the very near future.
I highly recommend people save themselves from the hassle and headaches I'm dealing with and avoid this company like the plague.

Tepperman's bedroom set delivery

My wife and myself ordered a bedroom set just before Family day and set up delivery for first Saturday they had which was March 10. Was happy with our purchase as we have had family members buy at Teppermans in Windsor many times. I got confirmation of Delivery window time and made the necessary accommodations. The three man delivery team showed up and looked disorganized as they didn't provide no floor runner or protection for my house. They proceeded to bring in the first piece of my bed and they knocked a 12 by 25 picture off the wall that broke. They brought in the rest of my bedroom set, which i was amazed that not one item except the mirror was wrapped or in a carton. I was upset with the delivery as no care or attention to detail or customer service was shown. One side of my bed was scratched and gouged all the way down and they tried to blame it on the moving pad which clearly they didnt use. This delivery team was a absolute joke and a embarassment and have no business doing deliveries in my honest opinion. They noted the damages reluctantly and had someone from customer service contact me and offered me a 150 bucks off or a replacement which they won't have in stock till April. Still waiting on delivery team to address my picture frame they broke and i will never recommend Teppermans for delivery service ever again. The store people were great but it went downhill after that. If you get a delivery make sure you inspect everything otherwise go elsewhere.

Tepperman's return policy

On the 8th of March I went to Tepperman's in London and cancelled an order and requested a refund of my money. I was able to cancel my order however when it came to receiving my money the staff asked me for photo identification which at that moment I did not possess. The request for my money was denied due to not having identification and even though the employee of Tepperman's was satisfied enough with my identification to the point of allowing me to cancel the order, yet on the other hand why was I denied the refunding of my money? I have to come to the understanding that returning my money had nothing to do with the lack of identification at the moment, and was actually due to the loss of a sale and I the customer was not interested in any other product in exchange and only wished for my money back. I am very shocked at how the employees handled the situation and am very disappointed in this matter because Tepperman's is a company that my family has shopped at for a very long time and have enjoyed doing so ever since I was a child. Not only has Tepperman's been a company my family has shopped at it has also been a company that had employed my sister for a number of years. I am honestly sad to say that due to the situation that has occurred over trying to get my money back for an order I had cancelled that I will not be shopping at Tepperman's ever again.

Tepperman's damaged furniture

My wife and I purchased a new bedroom set on 01/14/2018. At the time we were remodeling our bedroom as we had just bought this home recently. When it was delivered on 01/25/2018 we were not ready to have it set up in the bedroom so it was placed in an adjacent room. As it was being unloaded I inspected it as best I could with the cellophane wrap on it. At the time it appeared to be okay. When we set it up in the bedroom a couple weeks later after removing to cellophane it was then the damage was apparent. It looked as if had been dragged around the warehouse or perhaps off the truck. The veneer surface on the dresser and on one of the nightstands was chipped and broken. I was handed the property inspection form already filled out by the delivery person. It would appear to me that your people are the ones responsible for the damage whether it be the delivery people or the warehouse hands sliding the furniture around. I am not wanting to send this back however I am seeking some form of monetary compensation

Tepperman's couch delivery/customer care team

I bought a couch in full a month before my delivery date. No one told me that I had to be home the entire day to receive my delivery. I had it lined up where I got rid of my old couch a day before my delivery to get the new one in time for company I had coming over the following day. The delivery day came and they called me first thing in the morning for the delivery and I wasn't able to be there in that time so I said it would have to be later that day, I then called back within a minute bc I could have someone there to let them in. No answer for 45 minutes which lead to them dropping off my couch back at the warehouse in that time. By the time I got a hold of them the delivery team was extremely rude and not helpful at all. I said I needed my couch for this weekend bc I had company coming over and the lady was rude and didnt care about my concern. This is at the Wharncliffe location in London Ontario. If I have any reccomendations for any one buying anything from this place set up your own delivery bc the delivery staff here are bottom of the barrel garbage. Embarrassing.

Tepperman's unethical behaviour and total dissatisfaction with product, staff and overall teppermans experience

We have been paying off our account generally mid month for the past several months. Today I received two calls at 2:07 pm. Then the next call was to my mother in law immediately after a message was left on my phone. I have never not returned a phone call or an email nor did I even have a chance to respond to the message that was left. Following a non-sensical verification process I asked to speak with Kristy who had called the cell twice within a minute of each other and when she couldn't get an instant answer as stated, called my mother in law. Are you kidding me? I always return emails or phone calls. Not once has anyone so quickly called my mother in law as an alternate contact. I'm not pleased and have asked for her name to be removed from my file. Then "Kristy"wanted another name and gave me static about that...what is going on here? Payments are consistently made despite the ongoing issues with the poorly manufactured furniture as per the ongoing file. I would like to be able to say the furniture is fabulous but that's extremely far reaching. It's absolute junk and the frame is sinking again within 4 months of the less than 2 year old furniture being repaired. People who come to my home can't believe the issue we have had from getting it fixed, being returned ( my husband had to rent a truck and trailer to get it from london because they were well past the deadline to return it) it's been unbelievable! My parents came for a stay from 3 provinces away and we had no furniture!
I'll never buy furniture again from Teppermans. Unfortunately because the furniture is awful I'm now having to buy another living room set. Very disappointed in the tepperman's experience. I have thought of posting to the reviews because apparently the store owner seems to read and respond, but from reading these reviews the exact opposite of his continued radio messages seems to be true...maybe that's why he is always on the radio. Bad business! This set should have been replaced as requested at onset of problems and their customer service personnel need to stop feeding off of each other and take a lesson or two in public relations followed by a session on common courtesy.

Tepperman's delivery fee charged for replacement of faulty sectional

I am writing to express my absolute dismay at the current situation I am going through with Tepperman's Windsor. I am not usually one to go to these lengths, but I am so disgusted with what has been happening that I feel the impulsive need to write to someone, even if it falls on deaf ears, and sadly, I have been given no reason to believe otherwise.
I purchased a sectional on sale from Tepperman's in April/May of this year. It was delivered on June 16th. The entire piece has never felt particularly sturdy and sure enough several weeks ago I felt something snap. I called customer service and they sent a tech out to assess. The next day someone called me from the warranty department to discuss. They said that the piece could be fixed and arranged a date to come and pick it up. I was advised that they would likely have my sofa portion for up to a week despite the fact that it was only estimated to take 3-4 hours to fix because they would have to wait for the next available delivery date. One would think they would squeeze this type of thing in so your customers don't have to wait so long without furniture, but I didn't really give it much thought at the time and agreed to the arrangements.
They came to pick up the sofa portion on November 8th. I received a call later that day to inform me that the damage was far more extensive than originally anticipated and I was given 2 options. They said they could still fix the piece (however I was understandably uneasy with this option since the message I was receiving was that it wasn't worth fixing) or I could come in to the showroom and choose completely different furniture. Replacing the piece was not an option as it had since been discontinued. I was told I would have to pay another delivery charge, but to be honest I brushed that off without saying anything because I had other questions and truly felt that there was certainly no way that that could be true. I had difficulty finding anything I liked previously in the showroom as I have an odd shaped room and space is limited, I bought the original sectional on a whim from a flyer I received, so one of my questions was "what if I couldn't find anything? would my money be refunded?" The answer was a definitive no. I would get store credit at best if I could not find anything. This was said without compassion or even a second thought.
So I accepted what was proposed and was told to make my selection within approximately 2 weeks time. I came in to the store 3 times without any success. Tepperman's simply didn't carry anything that was comparable in size or price. To be frank, I was becoming desperate. With Christmas coming up and only 2/3's of a couch in my home, I didn't know what I was going to do. I finally came in with my sister and we spent about 3 hours in your store measuring and analyzing, trying to find another option. At this point I must rave about your saleswoman Christianne. Of all 4 times I had come in, nobody had been able to answer my questions about what makes a durable couch vs. a lower end one like I had originally purchased. I was gun-shy about purchasing another lemon. She showed me what names to looks for, what was considered low, med and high end, unzipped a cushion to show me the high density foam inside, showed me the difference in spring thicknesses etc... She was wonderful and I was very appreciative. I did end up choosing another sofa and chair that day and I am spending an additional $420 to do so. I am trading up and I am ok with that, it is my choice, but my point is that Tepperman's is now making more money on this transaction.
My true bone of contention in all of this is that I still have to pay another delivery charge to have my new sofa and chair delivered. I will argue that I have already paid for this. It is not my fault that the couch broke, nor is it my fault that the replacement piece has been discontinued. I realize it is not Tepperman's fault either, but it is their responsibility to provide quality furniture and customer care. Not to mention, and this is the part that really blows my mind...they have to come back to pick up the rest of the defective sectional anyway! I have spoken to customer service and they laughed at me when I suggested that Tepperman's should have to absorb this cost because of the inconvenience to me. The woman on the phone actually said that if Tepperman's was in the habit of covering these types of costs that they would be out of business. So can I assume then that Tepperman's sells a lot of faulty furniture?
I also spoke to Christianne about this and she agreed with me, that it seems ridiculous that I would have to pay this fee again when the crew are coming out to my home to retrieve the other half of the sectional anyway, and assured me she would look into it for me. I received her answer by voicemail today. She says they're saying that because I have only had the sectional 5 months that I am still covered under the regular warranty and that it isn't until after a year that the extended warranty would kick in and that would cover this expense. She actually claimed they were doing me a favour by letting me choose another set of furniture. That's right...they said that me being without 2/3's of my living room furniture for 3 weeks, spending an extra $420 dollars to replace it, paying the delivery charge of $70 AGAIN and generally going through all of this hassle was actually Tepperman's doing me a kind favour!
I'm sorry, but at no time, in all of my years have I heard of such a ludicrous, outrageous, ridiculous claim. The saddest part is that I felt good about going to Tepperman's. I felt I was supporting local business by not going to Leon's or any other large conglomerate.
At the end of the day I will probably have no choice but to pay this fee because apparently a refund is even less of an option than waiving the delivery charge but I will do so under tremendous distress. This whole thing has made me sick to my stomach.
I will promise this though, and you can hold me to my word, I will NEVER step foot inside a Tepperman's ever again. I will NEVER say another kind word about Tepperman's to any of my many friends and I WILL copy this letter to the better business bureau on principle alone.

Tepperman's fridge

We purchased a fridge and stove couple weeks ago, during the delivery the fridge was completely destroyed and your delivery driver was verbally abusive and threatening to my wife to the point that she was ready to call the police when he refused to leave our home when first asked to do so. I contacted your customer care dept. who refused to give me any info on the delivery company responsible (were told you outsource this) nor has this company or a tepperman manager every called us back as was indicated by your customer care that someone would do so. Seems that your customer care dept. (which is probably outsourced as well ) did a good job in bearing this complaint.

Our fridge remains to be picked up nor has our money been returned. Teppermans cannot hide behind "it's not our responsibility" as explained by your customer care person. I am a third generation teppermans customer and the buck stops here, there will not be a forth and I intend to share my experience with anyone else who will listen. Social media is a powerful tool.

P.S. I continue to investigate whether any civil or criminal charges are warranted being my wife is disabled with Lupus and stress is a serious trigger of her condition, it was that threatening

Tepperman's washer

I had purchased a washer and had to call for service, that was taken care of, we had to call again for a second service call, this time the washer locked and started to spin at the beginning of the cycle, we could not get it to unlock, when the service people arrived it did not do it again ( of course ), so we were charged 130 for a service call from the company that provides a extended warranty, we tried to fight it but the company would not waive the fee, if we did not pay for the service call then we cancel out any other warranty on the washer . I will never again purchase a appliance at teppermans and I really hope we do not have any other issues with the washer

Tepperman's furniture

We built a new house and being new to southwestern ontario we had never heard of teppermans. Show room looked beautiful... But what terrible quality and brutal customer service! We bought a large set for our living room. A white micro suede set. This room has no tv so the couches are rarely sat on! This set has large, attached cushions. Things seemed great till I went to move it and noticed a green 'mold like' look in between cushions. After inspecting, this was happening anywhere the material was touching each other. Customer service told me they would do nothing as its just wear due to it being a few years old. I explained all this green was no where that actually touches people. They did not care! We also had purchased a leather sectional for our family room. Within months this couch was crap! Felt like your sitting on the floor, sinking cushions, and 2 years in... A crack in the 'leather'. Again... No customer service help! We will soon be paid in full for all of our purchases and they will never see us in that bear trap again! Absolutely brutal store that obviously prides themselves on selling [censor] quality and ripping off customers! Do not spend a dime of your hard earned money in that place!

Tepperman's samsung dryer

We called Teppermans on Monday August 28th because our dryer stopped heating, the first thing they told us was to try troubleshooting everything ourselves before making a claim, I said we cleaned out the hose etc. still not heating, they tell us well there are other things maybe you could try, we said no we have a warranty you can come look at it. We get an email an hour later saying there is no service company in our area and we would A) have to find one ourselves, send Teppermans a quote to be approved, pay for the repair and get reinbursed after we send them the bill and that gets approved or B) talk to a repair shop. So my husband called back and said this is ridiculous we had someone come out a few months ago to fix our washer, well sorry but there is no one, we said can you not send someone from London, he said we can if you pay the mileage as we won't cover that, my husband told him the warranty is ridiculous and the man from Teppermans warranty company hung up on him.

Tepperman's delivery for mattress exchange

Staff that DOES NOT CARE
I have a sleep beauty mattress that has been approved for an exchange, as the mattress is 5 years old and is garbage!
The problem is I was told I have to pay for delivery!
I have expressed to the staff I am a single mom and on a strict budget, if I could have some help! I paid for delivery when I first purchased it!
Thought maybe Your staff would care I little and even check with management! NO! It Was Just. NO
I was told to come look at the mattress I was approved for, and I was greeted by a sales person, who showed me the mattress and told me to go to the cashiers with the one I want! And she walked away! Was taken back, so left!
I have called customer care several times. So they know I still want my mattress. But not able to afford delivery and have no way of getting it!
So as I feel I am on a time line, I went back on the weekend to pick the firmness I want! Still really not sure about how I was going to get it home!
And I did what the sales person the first time said, and took a picture of the firmness I want and went to cash! To only be told I need to go to a sales person! YES. WHO CARES, they are making no money on a sale, as it is just a manufacturer replacement!
Now I am still forced to go inside the store! A PLACE I WOULD NEVER SHOP
AT! Wish. I could afford to just go somewhere else and buy a new mattress

Tepperman's 40' smart tv (samsung)

Will not honour the warranty I was sold. Does not contact back. Will never get anything from teppermans ever again n neither will no one I know. I paid good money for the tv and insurance and no longer able to use it cause you wont honour the warranty you sold to me. Worst company ever yo work with rips u off. Sells u faulty products doesnt honour warrantys. Hate teppermans.
