TD Bank service scam

I was phoned by a company saying they represented td bank. I decided to listen because they were affiliated with td bank. If I listened to the speel, they would give me a free credit rating. I had a month to respond to the security checks that they would do for me. I got a package in the mail in regards to my credit rating. It covered one company that I dealt with and included a bad reference from another company that I never dealt with.
They basically gave me a poor rating based on very little if anything.
Then in this package they had pages of literature that would take a lawyer a day to read. I skimmed a few pages and threw it into the recycle bin. I listened to this good talking woman out but I figured I was secure enough and I did not need this service. I gave absolutely no authorization to using the service. A month and a half later, I get a bill for $20.99 for services rendered. This came on my td visa rewards credit card.
How they got the card number had to be through td bank. This sum was never authorized by me. Totally fraudulent and a black eye to td bank.
I phoned "credit alert". I talked to this male and he would not listen to me. I told him I never wanted this service and he said I had the service
For a month. If I had the service, it is something I did not want or need. This is a scam and obviously I am not the only one to fall prey to this scheme. I am holding td bank responsible for this fraud as they gave out my card numbers. This transaction was dated august 23rd/2019.

TD Bank fraud activity : account number ending in 8203

I'm writing this letter in response to the August 8th, 2019 letter that was sent to me and my mother about my Student Account with TD bank. The reason for my letter is to address the matter of the fraud based overdraft on the account which I had ending in 8203. On August 17th after getting a replacement card for the account so I can deposit $10 to pay for a course I took online. Later that night I got a text from the bank stating that a deposit was made on my account as well as an withdrawal since my mother and I share the account because it's a student account that was open when I was 16 I thought it was her deposit ( this happen before with her tax return) so I accepted.
On Friday of the same week my mother who checked my account weekly noticed the large withdrawal and deposit then contacted me which I responded that I thought it was her deposit. At that point I went looking for my card and was not able to find it. I'm a teenager and even though I'm being told regularly by my mother who was kind enough to open the account to try to teach me how to manage my money I lose my card regularly and leave at places. I have had the same pin for years and honestly I have not being as careful with it as I should. At this point I had an incident where I put in a situation and my car was used, I was so scared for my family because my friend said that the person who I might have took my car sold it to some bad people and they may get me. I told my mother we reported it to the police and then went into the bank with the report as well as called.
My mother and I was very surprised at the respond by your bank managers. The manager laughed in our face and said that a police report means nothing and we will still have to pay for someone committed fraud against my account. Was I wrong to not be more careful with my pin, yes, I know see what my mother lectured about trust no one with person information means. Yet still when my mother opened the account she made sure there was no checks or overdraft protection on the account so to make sure the account would be safe. We are both surprised that someone could deposit money of such a large amount into a student account and with no hold process like so many other banks do with draw the amount in large quantity. The account was not alerted of the issue until many transactions was done on the account.
The second surprising action was my mother asked the bank manager since she was also on the account and was held liable also why when such a large deposit and withdrawal was made a large bank like TD didn't contact her with concerns about the matter since I was 16 when the account was open. The manage also informed us that this scam or Fraud has being going on for a while now and explained what the people do and how they are able to take $1900 out of an account in one shot with in hours of a deposit. Since TD bank knows this Fraud has being going on why has there not being tighter deposit and withdrawal restriction put in place so that people will not be a victim and the bank will not be in debt. I know the Federal Law protects deposit so maybe TD doesn't feel that there should be more restrictions in place on account to prevent this type of Fraud from happening but a young person like myself who lost so much from this fraud and my mother and myself being told she has to pay this money back with me or she will be reported and not be able to open account or write a check. I only work a little part time job and just graduated from high school. My mother a single mother and a teacher doesn't have that kind of money. I made an error not being more careful and is now fearful of what other person info is out there stolen from me and filed a report to protect me and my family from who might have done this. Please understand and help so that we are not punished for scammers and my youthful naive issue.

TD Bank claims department late letter overdraft fee

Today, I just got a letter from TD Bank that a $50 fraudulent charge I disputed was found to be a legitimate charge and that they are reversing the credit in my bank account. My account was at $3 before they did this. THE LETTER WAS DATED JULY 11th and I only received it TODAY! I called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do. The man who answered the phone (Jamal) acted like he couldn't be more bored and disinterested in my problem!

So, I'm out $82 and I WAS GIVEN NO WARNING so I could prepare for the reversal!

I DETEST this bank with a passion! Our local branch has decent people working there. But, the customer service phone line (national) is APPALLING! I'm on Disability and I am not able to go to another town to do my banking. TD Bank is the only bank in our town. I can't stand them. I'll be switching banks when I move out of this lousy area someday. I'm so sick of being treated like I don't matter by the corporate customer service! They don't even TRY to help you!

TD Bank check cashing fee

I brought a check drawn on TD Bank to the Willingboro branch on Beverly Rancocas Road to be cashed. All throughout the 2018-2019 school year, I have an amount taken out of my check. I receive this amount at the end of the school year in a check. The check says summer pay on it. The teller I went to, Nikole, told me it was $7.00 to cash a check since I did not have an account with TD Bank. She claims she spoke to the head teller when she left the area but now I'm doubting it. Why would I be saving money all year to pay a fee for a check drawn on this bank and it stated summer pay?
I bet if it was drawn on Republic Bank they wouldn't charge a fee to cash their check!

TD Bank letter for inheritance scam

I received letter today in the mail from Mr. John Delon stating that I have a relative that passed away in 2009 and left a 9.3 million dollar bank account without any listed beneficiaries. As someone with my last name, Mr. Delon has reached out to me to that I might respond to "inherit" this money. His personal email is JDTD89@yandex.com.
I have seen that this is an ongoing scam and it needs to have a stop put to it.
The letter came with TD Canada Trust letterhead dated June 2, 2019. It states that if the funds are not claimed within 10 years of the persons death (2009) they will be reverted back to the bank.

What a coincidence!

I just got a letter from different 'bank rep" saying my relative died and I may be heir to $9.2M that has been sitting on deposit for 9 years. What are the chances?

Actually it's the same exact wording from a different division, a different bank rep and another version of logo and letter head. They didn't even bother to print it out with a color printer so the letter head logo is in gray scale.

There is no phone number or official email address with the TD website extension.

People please be really skeptical and less greedy when you get these letters. It will save you future strife.

TD Bank scam

My bill was with Raymour and Flannigan. I paid it one day late and asked what I had to do to get the late fee removed, and a customer service agent stated that I had to pay the bill in full. So I paid the bill in full and a month later, I got a bill for 30 dollars of a late fee. I called the customer service and they stated that it was an error and that they would remove it. The next month, I get another bill with another late fee and when I called they transferred me. The representative stated that they removed the late fee, what they did not tell me was that they only removed one late fee. When I called the next time, Raymour and Flannigan stated that they could not touch the account, even though it was their error and the customer service with TD bank would not take off anything with the bill now at 130 dollars. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they stated that they would call me back. I never received a call, so a few days later I called back and the representative stated that the supervisor stated that since it was a customer service error and not a bank error, they were not waiving any late fees. They reported it to all three credit bureaus and ruined my credit. I would like this resolved immediately.

To whom it may concern:

I am customer with TD Bank. I have this email  ([protected]@gmail.com) which is listed with TD Bank. As of February of 2019 I have received numerous emails notifying me about a special interest rate that TD Bank is offering to its customers whom received this email (Which I did). After doing all of this I am still not receiving the interest rate. Since April the opening of the account I can count on hand that I have been to over 10 different TD Bank branches in person, and not one of them is able to help me out. TD Bank heloc credit line

Complaint about TD HELOC, PO Box 8400, Lewiston, ME 04243

TD automatically drafts my HELOC regular payment each month on the due date. On multiple occasions I made an additional payment to my TD HELOC with clear instructions that it go toward principal reduction -- only to find out later that it was mischaracterized as a regular payment. I would guess this has happened at least ten times (that I am aware of). The local branch people are not the problem. In fact the branch employees have been very helpful when it comes to getting the payments recharacterized. I suspect the problem lies with the system/process, that this "mistake" is being made with other customer accounts, and that not all customers catch it (which means more interest/profits for TD). If in the future I am invited to participate in a class action lawsuit I will not be at all surprised.

TD Bank bank account

Absolutely horrible. Closing my TD account because I was discriminated against in the Huntington NY branch for being gay. My fiancé and I walked into the branch with 15k in Checks for our wedding money to open a joint account. The reps had no clue what they were doing. They were clueless about even knowing how to open an account, which we should've just walked out at that point (I wish we had) We deposit the checks and a few days later find the main branch froze our account so we had no access to money. When we called she was horrendously rude and treated us like criminals. She was eluding to the fact that we're gay and "suspicious". We both work full time and are very successful so this was an absolute insult. We called the main headquarters and they advised we won't have access to OUR money for an "undisclosed time period". We both have accounts with other banks and have NEVER experienced this level of unprofessionalism, let alone right out discrimination. Not to mention The rep whom opened our account even spelled my fiancé's name wrong on the account(despite having the drivers license right in front of her). Luckily we caught it and advised her of it...yet to this day the name is still spelled wrong. Horrible expierence and still have yet to get access to our money...

TD Bank Lost money in atm machine, account not credited after funds were retrieved

To whom it concerns:
On February 28, 2019, at the TD Bank, located at 4319 Collington Rd. Bowie, MD. 20716, I attempted to deposit $400.00 dollars, in the ATM, to my disappointment, the funds didn't regester the deposit, and I never received a reciepts, then it was over 15 minuted before my ATM card was finally retrieved from the machine.

This issue was bought to the attention of the Head Teller, Ms. Christine Jones, she explained to me that the ATM people are responsible for fixing any problems that may occur, an audit will be performed. When I called back the next day, I was told by an associate that the $400.00 was found in the machine, but again, an audit will have to be performed before my account is credited.

So, I talked to Ms.Jones, the Head Teller, I asked for an explanation as to why after several days, my account is still not credited? It's been over 48hrs. my wife, and I are frustrated, experiencing anxiety, and no one seems to have answers. My concern is if the ATM personnel retreived the money, and performed this audit, why isnt the bank crediting my account? I understand theirs a process to be performed, However, I don't think the customer should have to pay the price! I followed up with Ms. Jones, March 4th, to check on the status of my account, she said she would get back with me, It's now March 6th, still no one has called me back!

I would think that TD Bank, would put the customers interest first, to accommodate their customers, if Professionalism, courtesy, is indeed the hallmark of the banks customer service priority!

I would appreciate, if someone could explain to me why my wife, and I have to be inconvenienced!

I can be reached at [protected], or E-mail me at [protected]@hotmail.com

Thank you,
Raheem H. Israel

TD Bank not releasing funds

I deposited thru Mobil app a personal check my husband wrote me on Jan 5. It still hasn't cleared and it's the 16th. The funds were released from my husband's bank (the issuer) yet TD rep from toll free number couldn't tell me what the hold up was. I was told it was a random hold to protect me. Plus I called 4 times and got different responses each time even being told it could be because of the issuing bank (my local branch) Then I was told there was an alert on it. No one could give me a straight answer. I've never heard of a check being held this long. It wasn't for millions, it was for $2500. And I received the notification letter only today that the check was being held. This is very poor business and I'm ready to close the account.

TD Bank customer service

On Nov 11th I deposited a check in the amount of $11, 000 into my checking account. The day the check was to clear Nov 14th the bank chose to close my checking account and is now holding the amount of $10, 439.80 as a "cash item" and will not release my money to me. After a full day of phone calls and driving to locations the only thing I have been able to find out so far is that they are supposedly doing some sort of investigation, but they would not even tell me what they are supposedly investigating. I now have no account, no money, bills I need to pay, and the bank will do nothing.

TD Bank be aware of using low interest cash advance from the credit card

TD bank is nothing more than SCAM for someone who thinks this is great organization, this means for vulnerable people. First they advertise you can borrow from their credit card for a year for 0% interest. Than you discover this is 0% interest but you must pay upfront a fee of 3%. Well 3% for a year ( $300 for 10k ) is not bad. Than you used this card next month to buy services for $1, 500.00. Now you got yourself a nice surprise - and this is a PURE SCAM. If you pay in due time $1, 500.00 most of this amount will go towards 10k you borrowed for one year (paying upfront fee ) and lion portion of your $1, 500, 00 will be subject to 28% interest. Now if decide to pay off the whole amount than your 3% fee is actually OVER 30% - SO I WILL PAY OFF MY CARD AND PLACE PLASTIC WHERE IT BELONG TO THE GARBAGE BIN. THIS IS TD BANK? NO THIS IS A SCAM, BIG SCAM... I called the Bank and the treatment was arrogant like expected from the typical scammer. I was told that these terms are part of the agreement written somewhere ...most likely in small letters - very small letters for the reason small!

minimum payments get applied to the lowest apr, anything over goes towards the highest apr. you weren't scammed, you just didn't read. people who complain that they were scammed when in reality just failed to read their end of a contract are the worst.

Bank of America, several years ago, had a class-action lawsuit filed against them for almost identical practices when it comes to overdraft charges. I wonder has anyone reported them to ask that they be investigated?

TD Bank customer service

The representative Raymond Macart or whatever his last name was so rude and didn't help solve my problem but instead blamed me and said how was it their fault. I then called back and talked to a lady Dasha who then solved my issue. I will no longer be banking with this horrible bank. They need to be shut down! Horrible customer service and they steal your money. I've never had a bank that charged so much. Three $35 fees in two days come on now. You guys won't get another dime from me
